Lovely sunny day to walk along the stopbank. Thanks for placing a cache here. #3115
After finishing for the day with all duties, I felt like an adventure was required, so I put my gumboots on and headed into the wild. Not much daylight left, so I got back to the car in pitch dark, but made it through the gate on time! I looked around three hint objects before returning to the original one and having a proper look! TFTC!!
Out for maintenance check today and all in order.......planned to do nearby multi but no chance as Woodford Glen busy.
Nice little cache went out to the river to do some swimming ended up picking up a bunch of geocaches
Had the day to myself and threw the bike on the back of the cachemobile. I had to pickup my sister from the airport later in the afternoon so I had to do something to occupy myself as I was way too excited. Had to head north to do some cache loving and was hoping for a newly published cache to hit my 5000th. The day was clear but windy also a bit on the chilly side. I fixed a cache and then aborted a run on a cache a bit too far from where I was. I decided to clear up Waimak area up to the Kaiapoi River confluence.
Heading down the track and stopped by for a quick find.
Thanks for the cache Kiwi864.

Out for a stroll with the pooch and decided to gather some caches on the way. Mrs ToT soon had her hands on this one. TFTC!!!
Stomped around a few willows expressing a bit of wind. Using a famous 10 min rule and fading daylight went to find another cache down the track
On the way back past thought I'd give it another try. Found at a willow I'd checked a couple of times before as it was right where the GPS said it would be! TFTC Kiwi864

#14070. A nice day to explore this area. Didn't take long to track down this one (which was good as we'd taken a while to find each of the four previous caches). TFTC.
It was another beautiful autumn day and both StreetWalker and I wanted to find a few caches today to increase our find tally for 6 May. The caches along the north bank of the Waimakariri beckoned as it was a great day for a walk.
A few willows in the area Luckily my GPSr took me straight to GZ where the cache was an instant find. TFTC.

Today's walk was about 4km from the carpark at the north end of Kaiapoi Island to the lookout at the Kaiapoi River confluence. It feels great to finally be getting more and more caches off my "too lazy" list. Spotted this one straight away after coming down from the stop bank. TFTC (3420)

I've been meaning to knock the last of these caches off - I found the closer two before the furthest two existed for my streak, but decided while I was at it, I may as well find all 4!
So convinced hubby to come with me, and grabbed the gumboots, planning on tackling the lot, and walked on over.
Number one, and a very speedy find. We had just returned to the path when a cyclist appeared on the horizon - perfect timing!!

Of the four we had to find along the trails this was just about the easiest with the cache hide revealing itself the second place looked. Now on to the others.
Decided that I needed to have a walk and find some a few caches. Pleasant walk out this way, and didn't take too long to find the cache. Thanks for the hide.
A quick find for the Croods and we couldn't resist the trackable. Tftc
Out for an adventure with BBear44. We have not been out on an adventure together for a while. So we headed to the Waimakiri. I decided this was a good place to leave a Groupon.
First cache excursion with nosynel for awhile. Was a lovely sunny afternoon so a good day to be out in winter. Cheers for the cache.
A quick find down from the stop bank.
PIcking up some caches on the way to the CITO event.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Plenty of anglers along the riverbank, but the area where this cache and the others nearest here was all quiet and private for us to cache. Found cache easily enough. No TBs in the cache.
Checking alls well at this cache but no sign of " Little Snake ". Hopefully it will turn up soon....
BaldEd had asked me to accompany him on a bike trip to sign off a few new caches along the Waimak River. First up we passed a few of his and others caches so that I got a few more smilies.
Cheers for the cache.

Had a great day getting lots of smileys today at the Christchurch mega event. It's been fun meeting people on the trails and honking at passing cachemobiles!
I enjoyed walking around this area finding my last few caches for the day. This cache was quick to locate and was well maintained with a dry log

We are logging all our NZ MEGA 2015 caches after the event so that we can say how much we enjoyed our experience in Christchurch/Kaiapoi. The weather was perfect … the programme excellent … the organising team had really excelled themselves to provide a wonderful weekend. Congratulations to them all. We were also impressed with the sponsorship the management committee had managed to acquire – thanks to them also. We found your cache, Kiwi864, on a cruise round the Kaiapoi River nad the Poynter Reserve and Wetland, on our bikes, during the weekend. TFTC.
Got up nice and early this morning to find a few caches nearby to the Chch mega, together with yorkshirekiwi83. Checked a few spots here before coming up with the cache. TFTC!

Vistra and I went out to grab a few early morning finds before the rest of our team for the MEGA weekend turned up, walked up the embankment and down the path, once near GZ we dropped down to the tree line, OMG were we blind or what, we must have searched the area 3 or 4 times before finally spotting it. full day of the Mega long weekend we (Dunedin Caching Crew - DCC) hit the road and went for a drive to log as many caches as we could.
Thanks to the hint, we had this one in hand quickly. Found as part of the Dunedin Caching Crew (DCC)
In town for the Mega event and of course one does as many caches as one can . The was one of the quality caches that we completed with Adventure Collectors. We had an awesome time , met many amazing cachers. TFTC
Decided to do the trail today. The path started off nicely and then progressively got less of a path and more of a track. We grabbed the first cache easily enough and then continued on the path. It got very muddy and swampy and so we decided to try take a shortcut across to the other path. The first 80m was just tall grass and we wended our way through it. Then it got blocked by trees, brambles, blackberry, gorse and much more.. We ended up scraped and scratched when we finally made it to the second path and then another quick dash to the main path. The next two caches were easy find, but the one in the field next to the logs was a DNF followed by another DNF at the bridge. Thanks (we think) for the adventure. Mycro Man will thank you for this one and the fairy half too.. Did with Mycro Man at the Chch Mega Event
Went and found Charlie's bark first, then walked back and found thi one fairly easily after a bit of poking around. Thanks for the lovely walk, and the find.
Started out for these couple from the wrong side - much quicker and easier if you come at them the right way! Enjoyed our walk anyway, quick find once we got to the spot, TFTC
GPS had us running around and the wet grass was not that great, but finally managed to grab the cache and sign the log. TFTC
Today was a DotDay so needed to find a Cache not to far away so had a nice wee walk on a mild afternoon.Left FlipperTB TFTH..
Came out to Kaiapoi for a morning bike ride. Parked up by the library and set out for a lovely ride. When living in Kaiapoi I used to visit the old library a lot and also bike around the Poynters track....shame to see it still hasn't been maintained.
Still frosty and cold in the shadows. Quick find and sign at gz. Nicely done.

Out on a family ride today checking out the route before we do it in a couple of weeks with the Cub Scouts. TFTC.
Out for a walk in the sunshine. Realised I was trying to be stealthy in a hi-viz vest (worn to improve my odds of getting across the Waimak bridge)....duh! Tftc
Chilly morning ideal for going for a brisk walk by the river to find a couple of caches. TFTC
A really lovely stroll on a beautiful winter's afternoon. (Would make a good short bike ride) Concerned about the very definite elephant tracks already, but they can't be helped. I suppose. Thanks.
After spending over half the morning watching the Giro d'Italia I decided that the morning should have warmed up enough for me to go for a bike ride. But within 500m from home I started to regret that decision. [B)] (Outside air temperature was only 7C, and with the 20kmph southerly blowing in my face this meant the windchill factor was <4C. Brrrrrrr! ) But, being sort of committed for the ride, I decided to press on towards GZ. The cache was a reasonably quick find (at 4th tree searched) and to my slight amazement the log was blank! Wow, a FTF at 10.20am! I'll take it. Thanks for the cache. Arrived back home with fingers and toes frozen.
