At home, I'd think twice before crawling through long grass at this time of year. Another find with MummyPenny this arvo. Thanks TheWanglers.

Needed a bit of a shove to solve this, like everything, once you know how - - -easy peasy! However, the find with coconuts3 was a lengthy process. 3 of us took 20 mins around the hint object, then re read all the logs, - got away from the spot with the idea to re retrace all steps after a break. Mrs coconuts3 rummaged in some ferns and came up with the container. Phew!! Happy to sign this lonely cache. We replaced it behind hint object and anchored it with a sizeable stone/rock and natural cover. TFTC Cool

We got a nudge to go about solving this one and then we were away. Came out today with busy paws to find this cache. We both needed the D/T rating for our grid. With three of us searching quite thoroughly we didn't have any luck. Tried a few other ideas and came back to the obvious and started again. Mrs C decided we had done that thoroughly so tried a different track and dived into the long grass and plants. Spotted a bit of grey ......... and decided to investigate further. Wow I have got the cache, very happy to sign the log. Have put back behind the hint object and covered with rock. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache DTguru.

Had to ask for a nudge from a previous finder (thanks Smile ) to solve this before we came south so we could try for it and today we went for a drive and arrived at GZ - after a bit of a hunt Stretch0 finally spotted it - signed the log Thanks for the puzzle and the cache - yay only 2 to go of our D/T grid - its only taken us 14 years so far!!! Smile

We were having a few problems with this one but after a nudge along we had the numbers we needed. This was the final part of the reason of our quick south visit. Took a cruise to GZ and after not finding the cache stopped had a think then retried only to place hand directly on the cache Smile. Thanks for the cache this now leaves us 2 caches to get to complete our D / T Grid. !4 years so far so with any luck this year will be our year. Thanks for the cache.

Back again with Nosynel who confirmed I was in the right place. We considered it may have fallen and indeed I found it buried a metre below where it was meant to be. It is no longer capable of hanging as it has rusted but we put it back behind the hint item at ground level with some light grass cover. Thanks for the puzzle and hide.

Out for a walk and some caching. A lovely day for it and only the birds and a few cyclists for company. The cache was a quick find. TFTC.

AngelG27, TikvaNZ and I have travelled from Canberra to find caches from the D/T 81 Series that we had managed to solve by ourselves, or as a team (some with nudges along the way from COs or previous finders). We were joined by IVSS_XX, so we decided to log as team F.A.I.T. for brevity.

As soon as I saw part of the story, I immediately thought of a puzzle in Melbourne that a colleague and I had solved. I was sure this was the method, but I couldn't get a useful answer. I checked with Troodles at an event the night before we went to collect. I was on the right track, just needed a basic shift of thinking. Sure enough, I soon had the answer.

The collect was a quick one. TFTC

On a caching mission with AngelG27, Fox in Jox and IVSS_XX to find as many of the D/T81 caches as possible in a day. I was in NZ for my daughter's wedding, and my other daughter's graduation and planned to visit Christchurch to maintain caches and find as many of these as possible. AngelG27 and Fox in Jox decided to take the opportunity to have a holiday in NZ and join me, so over the last few months we have been beavering away at solving these. After some hints last night we (mainly Fox in Jox) were still solving today as we enjoyed a beautiful day's caching around Lyttleton harbour. Unfortunately we didn't get them all solved, or find all the ones we had solved so maybe another visit in the future. IVSS_XX took the opportunity to join us for the day.
Found by Fox in Jox. TFTC.

**DT81 series - 39/81 done!**

On the last leg of our today's mission. And the hardest of the caches are still ahead! Fox in Jox found this one with no problems.
Some forgotten roadkill traffic cones close to the cache.
Well, I enjoyed the story but how to get the numbers out, that was too much for me to figure out.

This trip to NZ was long planned, with the DT 81 series the main focus. TikvaNZ, Fox and I did lots of puzzle solving in preparation, many solved individually, but others solved cooperatively and some with a little push. Today was the day to make good on our solves and we headed out with Ivss_xx (signed as FAIT) to collect a stack of them. It was a long day, but we grabbed around 50 of them, with a few others thrown in for good measure. Unless otherwise indicated, caches were found in good order and in accordance with the hint.

Fox had figured out what we were looking at with this puzzle, and with a tiny nudge, everything fell into place nicely!

Thanks for the cache and the adventure Smile

I needed to go find some caches - for my sanity! It had been too long since my last caching, and I really would like to clear out a whole bunch while on caching - I mean - maternity leave off work - but having a baby does tend to slow things down!!

So today I came out to try my luck here as I haven't been caching this way in years - but somehow the gale force winds made things pretty tough, as baby woke up, didn't want to stay in the car, but weather was too yuck to have her outside too much!

Another 'family' solve - the hide was easy though - surprisingly, as I have strugled with heaps of the finals!

TFTC!! Smile

Thanks for the cache and series- this one a tad easier than some of the others at GZ! Slowly working our way through them. This one was guarded by a large slug.

I have to say caching on a rainy day in jandals ups the T rating a little, but that's my own silly fault. In the end I found the cache on the ground. Replaced in the most logical spot for the clue. TFTC Cool

I spend many long hours reading and rereading this cache page, looking for some sort of hint as to what I should be trying to solve. It took a hint from a previous finder to get me on the right path. Even then, it took a while to work out the exact way to solve. Eventually got some good looking co-oordinates. Was out this way on a phototaking mission at night so decided to make the find. As it was 1030pm at night, not surprisingly, the road was deserted. Cache was quickly located. Thanks for the puzzle, and the cache.

We must have found all of the red herrings on the cache page before we eventually made a breakthrough quite late one night and realised just what it was that is required here. But it wasn't until the next morning, when we took a fresh look at it that found what we were searching for. Even then the solve was a little more complicated than we had thought! Great joy when we got the Geochecker big green tick Big Grin. Thanks justmeg for this extremely well crafted puzzle.
Walked to GZ this afternoon and checked out a hint item, then spotted the cache in the open on the ground. Signed the log then returned the cache to the obvious hiding spot. Thanks TW for some interesting hides that have taken us to places that we have not previously explored.

A nice day, with no commitments. A perfect opportunity for geocaching. So off I went.
I had been eyeing this one up for a while. The puzzle was tricky but I solved it with help from a friend. The hide was tricky and clever. It was my 2900 find. Whoop whoop Cool [:o)]

I had a day off work but no caching buddy available so decided to round up a few DT's that buddy had already found and maybe one or two that she hasn't solved!.
When this puzzle came out I spent a lot of time persuing little red herrings! It was just a matter of figuring out what was the red herring and what wasn't! Finally got onto something but still couldn't make progress.
Joined forces with Muzza53 who worked on what I had come up with but also drew a blank. Finally he spotted something that proved to be the key to getting sensible numbers. Applied this new information and soon had the green tick. The find proved to be much easier than the puzzle. Thanks for a very clever and fun puzzle JMG.

We have been quietly working away on these puzzles over winter in preparation for a raid this weekend. Really could not have asked for better weather. Of our 50 or so solved so far we manage to collect about 35 and FTF 2 so we were pretty happy about that.
This is one of the very few D5 of the series we have solved and will say we needed a PAF (thanks MuzzaL53) - understood straight away the type of puzzle this was but struggled to simplify things enough to do what we needed to do. A few devious elements thrown in here certainly.
No trouble with the finding.
Loved this puzzle series and really admire the work gone into them

We were in Victoria, Australia when this first D/T puzzle was published. Although very tired from hunting the High Voltage puzzle trail around Mt Buffalo, I couldn't resist a near true to life narrative where La Vista had important speaking and action parts -Woohoo, I'm almost famous ! I conjured up some numbers that looked good -nah! Another possibility - nah! So left it & off on another long day of HSS power trail caches. When Chch Falcon had logged, his adventure was sounding a bit like mine. Later that night I had a Eureka moment & .... second green tick was mine !

Two months later, we decided today was a good day to tackle a souvenir T5 or D5, both DT puzzles designed by justmeg. We abandoned the T5 cache and really happy to scale the heights to sign the log for this cache! This is our first D/T puzzle cache.
Thanks to TW, TG, and JMG for this team effort. The views were awesum & more today !

I had solved the first layer of the puzzle the night it was published but the end game eluded me for a considerable time. It was only when I took a second look at everything that I noticed an important bit of info that I had missed on an earlier perusal. It didn't take long to find some very good looking cords that geochecker liked.
When we got to GZ, I appreciated the chutzpah of Chch Falcon's night time dash for a FTF. Cache was a quick find despite the Oregon's indecisiveness in this environment (StreetWalker had forgotten to bring his GPSr on our afternoon mission). Thanks for a cool puzzle, JMG and TFTC.

“This is what makes caching so worthwhile” said Chch Falcon as he looked back over the puzzle.

I was finishing off reading a book and about to turn out the light when a bunch of new caches were published.... Looked through them and discarded them all as they were too far away for that time of night but thought a D5 puzzle was worth a read. And when I saw it was a Justmeg puzzle and I had a speaking part I read it again. I had a lightbulb moment and knew (well thought I knew) I had it solved. Numbers jumped out at me and I soon had options all of which lead to the red crosses (although one of the current bunch is not mine). I was certain I had it so flicked an email to the co but I should have known Justmeg would not put out a puzzle with an error. As I continued to think and read, more numbers seemed to be spoken to me and the first green tick was mine. The CO texted back just as I was texting to say I had solved it.

Despite the time I decided a D5 puzzle was worth the long drive in order to try be {FTF}. The streets were empty and so was the log book after I made the quick find. The tracks in the grass made me think I was the second visitor of the evening. I did enjoy the view out across the bay (ocean) and when you visit GZ you will appreciate how cautious my u-turn in the dark was as I left. Nice hide TW/TG and great puzzle Justmeg. Quality puzzles do make geocaching worthwhile in my view.

I have made a slight change to the page, but it was to add a word that seems to have gone awol in the cut and paste, and to delete an extra one. They make no difference to the solving, just makes for better grammar. Good job Chch Falcon, I didn't expect it to go so quick!
