Rock on! I love this drive! Found with Piwaka54 on our first trip to Nelson Lakes
After a Sunday walk stopped here on the way to Motueka, drove past, parked and walked the 5m to GZ. Surprised it has a dnf. Obvious spot with obvious cover. No time to check the nearby book swap, next time.
I was worried with the previous DNF, but came by anyways. I had no problem with the find. Then I looked at the DNFer and realized that they had never even found even one cache.
I looked for the three little kittens of nursery rhyme fame, but they were no where to be found. TFTC.

I went to school with one of the Mytton boys Motueka is my childhood town, so lots of cool memories to share with RNZ along our travels today
Today we thought we would head over to Motueka to visit the market & then up the Motueka Valley to Ngatimoti for some geo adventures. My grandparents lived just across the Peninsula Bridge so I love this area The we drove through to Upper Moutere via Risedale Road & stopped at the Upper Moutere pub to refuel The Polenta chippies are yummy!!!!!

Nice cache name, makes sense when tied in with the village name. Was not aware of this place, but it sounds interesting. TFTC Zakaye.
Today we popped in to Motueka to visit the market. It was a bit low key due to the average weather, but we still made some purchases.
On the trip home we took some back roads toward Ngatimoti. Good memories from RG’s childhood out here as this is where her grandparents lived.
For me, some roads I have never been down before and a few caches on the way into Upper Moutere, some refreshments, then off home.

A super quick find as the cache was lying out in the open away from its hint item. Signed the log and re-hid. Thanks Zakayé, I wonder what it's like living in an eco house?
Pristine new container and empty log book! Brand new cache? Couldn't be - it would have been found before I came along. Quick check of the logs - yup, maintenance overhaul. Except the CO oopsed - I removed the pencil from the log bag. and put it in the cache separately - I have seen so many log bags punctured because someone left the pen/cil in the bag.
Didn't need mittens here. Its 6am, pitch black, but the sky is full cloud so no frost. Oh - and it's raining. Yay.
I came to Nelson with a bunch of objectives in mind - find some size small caches, visit the family - there are more of them than usual this weekend, visit the two adventure labs in Motueka, and finally sort out the last Nelson railway cache. Alas I forgot the adventure labs, and could only get half way on the railway hide, but I managed to tick the rest off.

Nice easy find at last. I've been eyeing this one up for a while to go on a dot day.
Thanks

A little behind in some cache logging took a rekkie around the Ngatimoti loop with SJT_NZ, a quick find, was a little exposed so found a little more natural camo to conceal it. All in good order. Thanks Zakaye
A quick find with Tregearp today. When looking at property in the area we looked at a section up the top of this area but it wasn't what we were looking for. Today it was interesting to return and see what had changed.
All in good order with the cache - thanks for another Zakaye cache.

Closing in on Mot, and lunch, and just a couple to grab before we get there. Stopped off here and parked by the numerous letterboxes before heading to G Z. Easy find and replaced as found. Some nice properties around here I see. T F T C Zakaye.
A Saturday at our disposal and Autumn marching rapidly towards the cold of Winter meant I weighed up my weekend intentions, especially as I was to be working all day (and night) on Sunday. Although I've already traversed the Motueka river highway twice in the last 3 weeks, I decided that a repeat of my recent caching run would be in order, with mrs capperz along for a ride too. The leaf coulour, air clarity and general scenery was awesome, yet again, and we had a great day out of over 400kms travelled (local??). Double figure cache finds and a few TBs swapped out to bring back over the hill. We headed out to Motueka viaTapawera and back via Whangamoas.

We are on vacation in New Zealand and of course we seek some caches.
Thanks for this one!

My final find of the day. Getting a lift part way back to Ngatimoti would land me at this corner where I made the find. 6 finds in 7 attempts is my final for the day
Nine days to do some caching for the price of four leave days - who could complain about that! I found a quirky place to stay near Motueka, ad decided to base myself there to cache in the wider area. I had a few on my hit list, and ended up finding a great variety of different caches on the trip.
Day five - I was going to do a nice walk, and a few caches on the way. Great day for it, not too hot but dry. TFTC!!

Heading back home after staying nearby, I had pasted this cache a few times over the last few days so thought I'd better stop and grab it. A nice easy find.
took me a couple minutes to find as it was my first go. you’ll feel as dumb as a rock when you finally actually find it if you’re like me got me hooked
Thanks for the treasure coin, did our first Geocaching with the kids on this wonderfull morning
Out for a post-work cache run around the Mot valley.
My second stop was here and a nice quick find. It's a bust stretch of road here so I needed to wait awhile for a gap in the traffic to be able to discretely return the cache.
Took the two trackables to move on and left one in its place.
Thanks

With this being the turnaround point for trucks at the nearby roadworks, it made for a busy intersection. The cache was found between trucks and duly signed off.
A quick find and no Mittens were needed here as the day was quite warm..TFTH
Today I started from 1957 finds and chasing down 2000. This cache was find 1977. Thanks to Zakayé for the cache
Off on a days caching with MuzzaL53 helping him get to 2000 - well someone had to help him!! TFTC
On tour in NZ! To safe space and time we logged as cg3 (caching girls 3)!

First NZ cache this trip and it's just down the road from Atamai Village where we are staying for two months. A nice easy find with my almost 2 year old tonight. Grabbed the TB & geocoin in hopes of getting them some mileage on our return trip to Canada this February. Thanks for the hide!
No need or mittens in a kiwi summer. Thank you for placing the cache and greetings from Greece. Picked up a TB to help it on its way.
Found while doing a few caches in the area today TFTC Dropped a few trackables in to be moved along, I'm sure this cache will get a few visits shortly with an influx of holiday makers to the area
I found it, but we forgot pencil. We use carbon for loging ☺ thx for this cache. Great from Czech Republic.
Today we did the big loop through Tapawera up to Motueka and then back to Nelson. A quick PnG here. Thanks for the cache
On my way to the Skills event in Mot so took the scenic route for a few caches. I arrived at gz late enough in the morning that I didn't need my mittens. Once the real estate agent had finished placing her sign and driven off to her open home I could park and make a quick find. Nice to meet the CO in person later on the day.
Thanks for the cache Zakayé

I was headed for the skills event in Motueka and stopped to do a few caches along the way. No problems here. Good spot for the cache. TFTC, Biggles.
There's been a lot about this in the news lately - not as successful a dream as had been hoped. We were grateful for the for sale signs as we could read them while discretely signing the cache out of the eyes of the people in the garden opposite. TFTC #6988
It wasn't cold down this part of the valley but very frosty further up the valley towards ngatimoti quick find .tftc
Last cache for me today. On a wee road trip with Bum driving and me navigating. A quick find and then on up the hill to have a nosey. Not so sure about the sub division in the valley but I do like the situation of the flash house at the top.

Found with Mr Marchwood. Good container.
We then went up to have a peek at a site one of us worked on last year, and check out the views.
Thanks for the cache.

We always enjoy a drive beside the Motueka river - and 7 good reasons to go there today. This was the first. We have found a cache nearby before, but this was closer to the road.
Thanks.
Thanks.
No mittens needed today. A lovely day but with a windchill factor to reckon with. We tried to look interested in the details on the for sale sign until we could strike without being muggled. It was busy today. Thank you Zakayé for placing this cache.
