Having done this multi and found the cache a while ago I promised sezmos that I would see if it was still there. I was in the area yesterday so I had a look where I previously found the cache...luckily I maintain a notebook with cache details and locations for occasions just like this. I couldn't find the cache either. I looked for several metres on either side of where I previously found the cache in case it had some cache creep or had been moved by a muggle.
I'm pretty sure the cache is no longer there so the CO needs to do a welfare check or replace the cache if muggled.

Even with cryptic uncertainties on the cache page, I'm pretty certain our coordinates were right.
However, gz appears to be a construction zone at the moment. So adding to the DNF list.

1830 7/9/16 out caching with OzHockeyChick this evening, we had all the info worked out to find this one and got to the GZ and had a look around for a while and determined that the cache was hidden due to the construction happening in the area. So my first DNF .. bummer..
I sorted the coordinates out quickly (well I think the maths is ok), but at gz....i found nothing. No finds for a while, is it still there?
I'm a bit late logging this cache....well, very late really! I noticed there have been several DNFs recently by some experienced cachers so the cache probably is MIA because once I had found the painting and done the maths it was a pretty easy find in a logical spot. I may be in the Eaglemont area within the next few days so I'll check it out and write a note on the cache page, and if necessary another Needs Maintenance.
Anyway, a friend dropped me here as we had planned to go to dinner tonight but she needed to visit her dad at his nearby aged care place beforehand. Luckily I had been to this shopping strip many times before because the given co-ords were nowhere near the painting needed to determine A. After walking to the painting, which was at the other end of the shopping strip, I found the painting, determined the value of A, did the maths and then headed back down the shopping strip to my calculated GZ. My friend joined me at GZ after visiting her dad and we searched a few likely spots without success before finding the nicely camo'd cache buried deeply in its hiding spot. I signed the log at 5:25 pm and then returned the cache to where I had found it. TNLN.
Thanks Succulents for the interesting multi and the well-hidden cache. If the cache is indeed muggled then I hope you resurrect it as it's a very interesting and historical location.

Out with JSando for what we hoped would be a quick multi. Took us much longer as the info on the cache page is outdated - 3 quizzes isn't relevant anymore.
Still, we enjoyed hunting around and we're happy when we uncovered the cache. TFTC

Out this afternoon for a couple of quickish multi's whilst MuggleWifeDoes recovers at home in bed from a dose of girl flu (not really an illness I know but we can humor them).
Quiet Sunday afternoon for a short stroll around the shops looking for clues, soon had the info in hand and the prize shortly after that. Nice little village.
Thanks for placing this cache Succulents

Had to come back for a second look for this one and what a relief to find it!
Today was a grey and drizzly day so I thought that I would nip out and grab a few caches confident that there would be minimal muggle activity however I was wrong. The was an Eaglemont community fete.
Although I was confused by the text of the cache I managed to get the required information and made a quick retrieval. TNLN. TFTC.

A confusing but actually quite simple multi If you're struggling just take your time and go for a walk around the block. TFTC and all the information!
Hmmm, not off to a good start, in fact I couldn't even work out where to start, thankfully reading over past logs gave me a clue and eventually found the step off point quite a ways from where I was looking, after that didn't take too long to come up with the goods
Eaglemont was an unknown suburb until my son moved here a few years ago but I still was not aware of this mural. he lived a little further away.
I was aware of the artist here though as my daughter lives in Eltham and I see Walter Withers name over there all the time.
I did have trouble working out just what i had to do at the start. A PAF thankfully helped me with that and the rest fell into place.

I see that this multi has been scaled down from its original scope. It was one that I'd left for when I had a bit of time on my hands while over this way, and a few nights ago seemed as good a one as ever. Some of us spend a fair bit of our time here, so finding the detail we needed presented no difficulty, and all I had to do was be careful with my grasp of basic mathematical rules.
It turns out, though, that night is sometimes not the best time to find a cache. There was enough activity that I was only able to make a cursory search, so I left it for my next visit... which happened to be today.
Getting my hands on the container was the best proof that I can manage arithmetic. Phew.

I found this with the aid of a less mentally impaired friend. The first incarnations of this puzzle caused me grief and it was a relief to put it to bed.
Out and about with Echidna44. This is one of the most confusing simple caches on paper that I have done. I thought it would be good to do a multi after doing a string of easy single ones. We thought we would take it piece by piece but we could not even get the first WP1 right. It was only after we got some info later on that we came back to this one but needed to be looking some 75 metres to make our start. Its fine if you know the area. Picking up the only clue needed the rest was a simple offset.
Just love these small strip shopping with lots of history and character.
Nice easy find in the end.
Thanks for the cache Succulents.

Out with xambo4u, we had trouble finding the starting point as it was 70 metres out by our GPS. Once we had the starting point it was a quick calculation then on to GZ to sign the log. We loved the old strip shops, art work and history. Thanks Succulents
I was in the area and tried for this one today. A bit of calculating and I soon had a likely GZ where the cache was easily found.
This could be a great multi, I love multis, however this cache tries too hard to be confusing. A visit to all the waypoints was not required as some simple deduction on the final GZ was done at home. Put it down to experience Riley. Head out and do some more caches to get a feel of some good multis. I commend you on giving it a go though, thanks for bringing me to this quaint shopping centre. Hope to see your future caches

So with another equation, I stopped in again on my way past and after some more counting and more maths I had another set of coords for the final. The difference this time was that there was actually a cache there.
Thanks rileydimech for the cache and the look around this nice little area. You still need to fix the first two sets of equations.

STF at 11:45am on 17 Jun.
When I saw this published a few days ago I was eager to have a go but as other people mentioned problems with the calculations and I was also having difficulties I decided to wait a few days until they were cleared up. After EuDes logged a FTF last night I decided that I should try for the STF and so I set out on my quest this morning.
I had driven through Eaglemont's shopping strip last week as I was trying to get from another cache (GC5WF3W Glen Brooke Trail) to Ivanhoe and I noticed the information boards and murals. I love the Heidelberg School Artists Trail and have visited some of the boards at Eltham and Research.
I had no trouble with the first location and quickly moved to the second location. I still could not get the equations to give me the answer I needed but I knew where I needed to go to get the final information so I just moved on. The co-ordinates for GZ were spot on, although I did do a bit of ground searching before I was able to put my hand on the very well hidden cache.
Thank you rileydimech for the trouble that you have gone to to make this a really interesting multi. I look forward to seeing more of your caches.

With the new formula for the final location I came back for another look. I recounted and soon had some coords but nothing presented itself. On expanding my search area I spotted something that made sense but I couldn't locate the cache.
As Arnie says, I'll be back.

Woah, what a saga that turned out to be. Having watched as amendment upon amendment to the formulae for the final GZ were made, at last the update this evening gave a location that looked very promising indeed. With din-dins beckoning, I raced, er I mean 'drove sedately' , down for a look. Amazingly after all the trials and tribulations, the coordinates ended up being pretty darn spot-on and that finally had me with the stash in hand at 20:05 to mark our 64th GC FTF ( × 64) and 75th overall.
A very interesting conundrum that worked out in the end.
TNLNSL, although a few of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks at last rileydimech.

There seems to be errors in the calculations for the last two waypoints.
The East part of the second last waypoint has an odd number of brackets and I couldn't rearrange it to get a plausible number. I think I found the mural using only the South numbers but even when I assume counting errors, I can only get negative numbers for the final East numbers.
I'll be watching this one.

There is, in fact, no 2-digit number greater than 09 that will give a positive answer for FGH using the currently listed formula: ((AB-A)*2)-((A*3)+(A*100)).
If the result is supposed to be negative however, it is extremely difficult to interpret how to manipulate such an answer.

I have also had a bash. Using the numbers on the mural and one each side led me to possible locations but I doubt the maths as well.
