I'm staying in town for a couple of nights while I visit a friend decided to cache the minimum so I had time to do a little sightseeing.I love Mackay! I really enjoyed the afternoon walk around this area. The old architecture is absolutely beautiful ... and it's good to see that the buildings have been loved enough to be preserved and not replaced with walls of bland concrete and glass.There may have been a resident muggle curled up nearby, but they did not appear as I used stealth to have a look around. Nothing from inside the nearby building either ... they must be used to "suspicious activity" in this park by now ... 
I thought I found the hiding spot ... but turned out not to be. I looked in every nook and cranny, but no luck today.TFTC ...

Finished another long trip around Australia. The 6th. Back to the east coast for an event in Orange (non caching) and then a great family dinner catchup. Now heading north to Townsville with Aquilus1 to get the Palm Island LGA. A rush into Mackay from Nebo to get to the morning event.A couple of caches not yet published found in the park.A trip around Mackay grabbing Ad Labs and other nearby caches.Lots of green ants.Into the city to grab more caches by scooter.Finally a drive out to Mirani for another event. A great long day finished by a drive to Bowen after dinner.Nice quick tricky find.
Took a little while but we found.So tiny! Police questioned us I guess they're next door. All good. Damp log but signed and RAF
I think this one has been replaced as only two names now on the log. It is also micro size, not lunch box size.A very quiet space off the main road. Enjoyed the bird sounds while looking.

Made the quick find this morning. There was a homeless elderly man asleep not far from the cache this morning it looks like he may be set up here permanently atm.

Our second full day out and about in Mackay with Temingi. Yesterday we broke 13,000 finds and in the next few days Temingi is hoping to crack 14,000. Not too sure why we’re helping him when our eventual goal is to reach and then pass him! Still, it’s always good to go out caching with like minded mates. If nothing else, the stories are always good to share.
We want to say thanks to all the local cache owners for placing these caches for us to find. Without you this wonderful pastime wouldn’t exist. We certainly appreciate your efforts in developing, placing and maintaining all the caches. We have lots of fun and plenty of exercise thanks to you.

We've arrived in Mackay to catch up with some friends - and of course to find as many caches as we can. Today we started the day by searching for a United Service station to fuel up the geo-mobile, then we commenced a (sort of) "next closest" caching run until Penny decided the humidity was too much.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache pretty close to where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.

With this i pondered why it had two logs. Not for long as i found the one with the most recent date and just signed under that. Not too difficult. Thanks Camo75 for another one. That’s a few so far. That’s it for me for the evening.
Found without a pen. Nice quiet park right in the city centre. After a coffee and a catch with friends I thought why not check the app to see what’s around. Thanks very much. Took a photo of the log as I forgot to bring a pen.

Nice hind, been a Mackay local my whole life and never been here to this park, only next door in the back of the paddy wagon, only joking. Beware ants and other creepy crawlers.
Lovely park and well maintained historic building. In Mackay for a conference and taking a stroll. Geocaches always help direct my feet in new towns. Tftc
We returned from the Twitchers trail for luch at the caravan, and decided to head out again into town and along the foreshore for those that we had yet to find. We woke up Bill from DiMorgan from his afternoon nap to tag along with us.

We were travelling from Moreton Bay to Townsville for a short holiday. Spent a nice time up here. Now we are in our way back home, stopping for caches suitable for a car with caravan behind.
