Logs
Due to repeated incidences of deliberate spoilers & photographs being posted on several online social media sites & in cache logs, by a small cadre of relatively new cachers , our caches no longer fit the D/T levels or challenges as intended.
Add to this the often spiteful/derogatory & negative comments logged and/or posted online by these same few people, an increase in 'muggle' (?) interference & the disappearance (?) of several caches in recent days, as well as verbal attacks in general conversation, & we have come to the unfortunate decision that it just isn't worth wasting our time, effort & money on placing & maintaining caches any longer.
Following repeated requests for these people to respect the caches, the COs & to follow Groundspeak guidelines by amending their behaviour, which was met with 'We can do what we like!', we no longer wish to be the subject of a few spiteful individuals' attacks & rather choose to enjoy our caching experience without their input.
We thank all those that have enjoyed our caches & responded positively & in the true spirit of Geocaching & can only apologise to those who this decision may disappoint.
As always ...

Out caching with KerriMG today.
A lovely park on a very pleasant spring day. Made a quick find here.
Have you been tagging in the area VC?

Our regular Thursday outing with Nikid1 & we decided to head to Wynnum to find a few caches.
We were making our way around the esplanade turning green dots into smilies. We parked nearby & headed across the park to GZ. Nikid1 had the cache in hand while i was looking in a totally different spot! Log signed & cache replaced as found.

A bit of deja vu as my last visit was unable to sign log. This time - Job Complete! Extraction tool WAS required. Rain is about to arrive, so time to head home.
First trip in a few years the Gadget team to Australia. We will try and cover as much of the Brisbane and Gold Coast with smileys as we can.
A nice find by Gadget Bro. Tftc

This was a quick and easy one too as soon as I saw the structure my hand went instantly went to the caches home TFTC
Windy night on the esplanade tonite. Quick find in the dark and into the next. Tftc
Found with Freddie_Monkey on my last day in Australia. No tweezers so FM will return to complete log. Nice hide. TFTC
Found with ADC101. Didn't haven't anything to extract the log with unfortunately - will have to return another day. TFTC
#12838. There were logs of muggles nearby (a post walk gathering was taking place for some sort of special schools event) but it wasn't too bad at GZ. I quickly spotted the container. TFTC.
We have one full day in Brisbane today before heading home to Christchurch tomorrow evening so decided to take the train to Wynnum to explore the area (and find a cache or two ). An interesting and scenic geotour, with some tricky hides but unfortunately with a high percentage of DNFs. Thanks to all the COs for contributing to our enjoyable day.
Pretty busy in the general vicinity but all OK at GZ itself. A quick find for StreetWalker but took longer to get the log book out - one of the disadvantages of write-in-the-rain paper. Then it took several attempts to re-roll the paper so that it fitted back into the container. TFTC.

Found on a beautiful winter day with our little family. Couldnt get the log out so didnt sign. Nice cache. Sneaky little device.
My usual caching buddies were scared of the forecast rain and our caching adventure today (which involved some high terrain, ropes and climbing gear) was postponed. So, this afternoon, I took a ride on the trusty mountain bike around the Wynnum and Manly water front collecting some of the caches that have popped up recently.
Tweezers came in handy to extract the logbook. I had no end of trouble getting it back into the container though. Many thanks VC

Easy find, difficult retrieval with 1 broken fingernail & 1 broken earring lol returning it looked to be mission impossible with a bunch of scouts turning up who proceeded to climb all over it but a friendly request to jump off so as to get a tourist photo did the trick

Geowife and I thought we may have a walk along the bay on this May Day...
Broke the pencil trying to extract the log - have a photo if required.

Walking south along the esplanade, avoiding the jog-muggles and cycle-muggles and having to walk past a few caches without a chance to even look for them, this quiet area gave me time for a find. TFTC Linden/6
First for the day and decided placements would get easier to find the later they are in this series.
A quick scout around, inscription on a new log sheet. Carefully replaced... **TFTC**

Out on a maintenance run to check a few of our caches & catch some sunlight & fresh air.
Thought we'd do a quick check here, replaced log old for new.
No nasties or surprises here.
All now good with the cache!

Thank goodness for an easy find after those no-go tree climbing ones! Log is full, sad to say I probably wrote over someone's faded log TFTC.
GZ was cleaned on the weekend during a working bee. Knowing the cache was there I went to remove it temporarily, but I couldn't find it. Sorry, it may be missing.
We have it on good authority that the cache may be missing.
Temporarily Disabled until we can replace.
Hopefully next week.

We only needed 14 caches to get to 500.
We decided to MetroCache... it requires a car, caches beside carparks, a coffee before and after caching and somewhere to buy lunch.
rick worked this one out and found it.

Warning - WASP NEST on GZ object. Normally I'm so scared of spiders that I grab a stick and poke around for the cache in question. Obviously not thinking today, and slid my hand round GZ and got stung by a couple of wasps guarding their nest. So I was busy howling and the wheelie-daughter wad busy laughing at the sight of me jumping around in pain. Finally got it together and found the cache easily enough, keeping a wary eye out for the wasps. Log signed with difficulty (had forgotten to bring an extraction tool) and we were on our way!! Thanks for the (painful!) adventure and the cache Linden/6!
16/11/15 Out caching with Marina25 and time was running out but we decided we had time for this one (as it was on the way home). We arrived at GZ but the coords were not helping at all. We search east and west but nothing. I read a few logs and something there made me consider another location. I had spotted this on arrival and now on closer inspection found a lovely little item that contained the log. TFTC Linden/6
The compass was all over the place and kept me going round and round in circles decided to stop and have a cache think checked out a suspect object but didnt have my caching eyes open wide enough but geo-daughter soon had it in hand signed the log and replaced it without being noticed TFTC
My walk on the Lota - Manly foreshore continued towards Wynnum. It totalled about 9 km today and I felt great after that. The next ones need to be 10 km on terrain and 20 km on easy ground.
This cache was another one on the route that has popped up in recent months. So a stop here was in order.
The smartiephone compass insisted on the corner of the scout club house. That felt very dubious but as the coords at previous cache had been spot on within less than a metre, I started the search by tapping through the structures. But it felt very wrong: the cache simply cannot be there. Full stop.
Decided to use some common sense. A good choice, sir, as the in less than a minute I spotted something that might as well be a container. Sure enough, it did contain a logsheet. [^]
My pen left no mark on the sheet but luckily I had my cache maintenance kit on me (had initially thought of leaving it home) and a trustworthy little home-improvement-megastore pencil which did the job well here.
All good here. Thanks, Linden/6!

Headed to this cache next and soon I was at GZ.
A quick look revealed what I was looking for and the cache came to hand.
It is now dark here and this cache and the last one were done in the dark as to not attract too much attention.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Linden/6 All good with this cache

Was dropping the geoboy off at Scouts and had a surreptitious look in the most obvious spot. Recognised it straight away having seen the same type of cache last week and casually grabbed it while no one was looking. My pen didn't write very well on the log but it's there. TFTC Linden/6
I followed the arrow here when I should have just gone with my first instincts. Systematic searching led to a nice find of a kind I suspected but it wasn't where I expected. TFTC where all is fine.
Just down in Brisbane for the day to visit the Doc and catch up with some friends. I had a bitof spare time so I thought why not find a few caches. I must admit I looked for caches not too far off the track and that had been found recently. A nice collection mainly micros but nothing too hard to find. Tftc Linden/6
Next on our list for the day, was this cache. We parked nearby and NurseyJulie soon had the cache in hand. Retrieving the log was another matter and I had to get a tool from the car to help with that. Before long, our names were added to those already on the log. The cache was returned to its hiding place before we headed back to the car
A quick retrieval for this one compared to the last few! A very apt piece for the sea scouts. However extraction tools were necessary and Selvagirls had gone back to the car for the said equipment. TFTC Linden/6
While caching with jemillalucy and remsjw, my mum mnance, my brother mazza151 and myself decided to do this cache. TFTC!
Out caching with Jemillalucy and her daughter, Remsjw, my daughter pinkypie05 and my son mazza151. I found this one fairly easily. We took lots of photos of the kids playing here. TFTC Linden6!
Mnance had her eye in this afternoon. Kids had fun playing. What a great park Tftc.
Mr LHE Duo suggested we head towards Wynnum this morning to see what we could find. In the end we had to miss at least half on our list due to way too many muggles. However, we did manage to find a few including this one. We parked nearby and headed to where we expected we might make a find. It took a few minutes before zoning in on what we needed. Added our name to the log and replaced where we found it. TFTC Linden/6
Trip out to Wynnum today. This cache took a while but we found it in the end. Need tweezers for note
Today we headed to Wynnum, Manly area to geocache, its such a lovely area here by the sea. Many people enjoying the day at some of the locations.
As we walked past where GZ was I thought thats a likely spot, but we moved on to look else where. Eventually we returned & our 1st hunch was right.
Thanks for placing this cache Linden/6

Visiting Manly today for my first Father's Day. After my folks left I took my little boy and wife for a walk. I saw this cache on my map so took a slight detour from the ocean side path. I have found a similar cache elsewhere so found it easily today. Signed and met my family without any delay. TFTC.
Out for a day of fun geocaching with barbbowman and bubba89 - we decided to head down Wynnum way as there were quite a few caches that none of us had yet found. OrionJ had also joined us by the time we had gotten this far, and just as well as his retrieval skills were much appreciated.
We were searching in all sorts of places but we eventually had the cache in hand and added our names to the log book. Thank you Linden/6 for having placed the cache for everyone to find.

Oldest mooseling was out at sea today, so took the opportunity to grab some quick numbers. Some found and some not.
Had a chat with the groundskeeper from next door but he was as clueless as I. Hmmm, another dnf. No time to waste! Next!

This was the last find of a cache that I had not found before for today. There were a couple of options of where to take a look and we all picked out different ones to start with. I spotted something as I was wandering back from my first stop and made the grab as the others were heading for something else. We got the names in the log and soon had it back in place before heading back to the car.

Headed out tonight as the bestie was over. She is good at this game because she can find them within a few minutes.
Lucky we timed it right as there wasn't anything on at the Sea Scouts tonight. All was dark so we parked nearby and headed out with torch in hand.
Bestie had her hands on the cache straight away because the hint led her there. I hate it when she does that.
Anyway.....
Log signed and replaced as found.

A rare day off together for Tiki 1 and Tiki 2 brought us to the Bay for some down time. A quick search and Tiki 2 had it firmly in hand. TFTC.
Another bright sunny day - but severe cold westerly winds blowing up dust, leaves and hats almost out to the sea. I found the cleverly innocent looking cache hidden away. Had to seek shelter (in the car!) out of the wind to sign it off.
With the help of our special school students we found the cache. This was the second find of the day. Great location tftc
Out and about today with teamdfl and IolantheK on the bicycles.
A bit windy today so sometimes a tail wind and other times a head wind.
A quick find.
Thanks for the cache.

Out and about on the MTBs with Brother Colin and teamdfl.
After coffee and a break we headed off to our last couple of caches before the ride back to the cars at Chelsea Road Reserve. BC zeroed in on this one pretty quickly Loved the hiding spot. TFTC, Linden/6.

It was quite a pleasant ride along the shore today. The wind was ferocious at times, but IolantheK had fortified ourselves with a very nice coffee from a mobile vendor. [^]
Once again Brother Colin was off his bike and hunting by the time IolantheK and I arrived. Nice and easy when somebody else has found it for you.

Knowing it was a stealthy hide made it easy to narrow down our search area. Tftc!
Mrs RoddyC was working in the area today and we needed a cache to continue our daily streak. It took longer to remove the log than it did to find the cache. Signed the log book and anchored it back safely, Found at 11.25am on 6th July 2015. TFTC.
Another step closer to 100. The size of that anchor, nothing will be going anywhere soon...
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 2:25pm. The cache was found after a few minutes search. TFTC
Another cache on a night full of caching with Ms Maddy and Genyo. We drove as close to GZ as we could and legged the remainder. Heading towards GZ I was a little confused as I thought it was leading us into the middle of a house but as we got a little closer GZ become quite obvious. I got myself into some interesting positions looking for the cache just for Genyo to boast that he had found it.... Show off... Thanks for a great hide Linden/6.
