Along the difficult trail with Baktrak, climbing and trying to avoid hitting the ground.Well hidden cache thanks TheWanglers
A challenging find with MummyPenny today. You can see by our scratchy signing that we were barely hanging on. Took the direct approach going up and signing, then the more sensible way back down. Thanks TheWanglers.
I had a hit list this afternoon of the solved caches I wanted to try to find prior to returning home to Australia.this cache was one of them..these caches tested my nerves to various extent along with my mountain goat climbing abilities...there was a lot of Tiz13 not so famous butt sliding going on thankfully my pants held up and didn't tear. What would Tiz13 do for a smiley would she trespass onto farmland?? yep that was the safest path... safety first..looks like an erosion based Earthcache can be done at GZ
Our second full day of venturing out and about with Aussie geo friends, picking up some solved puzzles, and selected others on our to-do list.It was a beautiful spring day, with lots of laughs and fun along the way. Most of the hides were found quickly, and it is a real credit to all the cache owners who placed them for the benefit of the geocaching community.
Outnabout with Chamad, Snickersallan & Bluewattle on my first ever trip across the ditch. After a week of caching around Brisbane and at events last month with other Geo friends, I couldnt pass up the opportunity to hop on board for a NZ Mega adventure. Another great day for caching. TFTC TheWanglers
Thanks for placing and maintain for our enjoyment Found with Snickersallan, Wollaston and chamadVisiting Christchurch for a few days before heading down to attend Geotora Mega
Stopping in Christchurch for a couple of days as I head towards the Dunedin MEGA. Ironically Im collecting several of the D/T series that I had no chance of solving for the 2015 Christchurch MEGA.Now Dunedin is publishing an impossible D/T series so I suppose I will have solved most of them in time for the 2033 Invercargill MEGA and so it goes on.This climb was a bit more challenging. Outs the coming back down which Id the worst. TFTC
found this today while staying at Diamond Harbour and coming around here for a bike ride . Beautiful day for a bike ride. The road was pretty quite and I found most of the caches with the hint relatively easily. I had not downloaded the hint and there was no wifi here so had to do a wee ride back to reenter the cords and pick up the hint. found it easily once I appoarched the said hint from the westerly direction. Thanks to TheWranglers for placing and maintaining these D/T Caches, I need a lot of different ones for a challenge I am working on so very pleased to add 6 more to the list today
Cache 1633 another much needed DT grid filler on my mini geocaching holiday this was an easy solve unlike the others that I needed and luckily a quick easy find after a little clamber at GZ, what a stunning view even though its pouring down with rain T4TP
I solved these easier D ratings eons ago but today is the first attempt at finding them. Managed to clamber up and down without too much trouble here. TFTC# 20,823

Came out to find the last of the D/T puzzles we have solved so far. Had a good run now back to scrambling brains to solve more puzzles. A new T rating for us a great bonus. Thanks for this puzzle and cache DTguru.
After some help to solve the puzzle we scrambled around and found it well hidden in the undergrowth. TFTC
Solved this puzzle quite a while with a many of the other DT puzzles. Was hoping to pickup quite a few around the Diamond Head and Camp Bay area but we were starting to run later and had a long way to go to get to Greymouth for the night so just one area of the caches on this trip. Really enjoyed the views from the area on what had turned out to be a beautiful afternoon.
Mrs B who was driving really appreciated that nearly all of these caches were placed where she could pull over off the road and wanted to thank the CO for that.
When I first looked at this one I thought 'that is in a precarious position, I wonder if it is still there?' but thankfully when I made my way up there it was. TFTC.

A fairly quick find on a day trip with Busypaws and it is years since I was last on this road. Tramping club used to walk from Camp Bay to Adderley Head.
Always worried about the T rating for this one. Needn't have worried, more ways to find a cache, sounds better than skinning a cat! TFTC really hot and dry on this road, got rid of a glass bottle thrown on the dried grass, now in my yellow bin. Found with Lytteltonwitch on a very pleasant afternoon out.
Today Jude_E and I banded together to grab some D/T caches heading out towards Diamond Harbour and Camp Bay. We signed some logs as JJ or Jude and Jess. Being Waitangi Day there were lots of people out and about enjoying the water and the sun. Thanks for the puzzles and the adventure!
For a while now Jessdaphne and I have been solving the d/t puzzles locally to try and fill in a few more gaps in our own grids. We are starting the day with me needing 7 and Jess needing 6. The goal for today was to find the ones we had solved from Governor's Bay through to Camp Bay. Thanks for the puzzle and cache. Enjoyed the challenge of getting up there!

Had a great day out and about caching in Canterbury, many thanks to all the cache placer's.Thanks Bitsprayer
Beautiful day on the harbour. This was surprisingly straightforward given the T rating - albeit with a mild trespass.... Many thanks.
Out on a tour past Purau picking up solved D/T caches. Quick find. Great views from here. The top of the container was cracked, so we replaced it. TFTC!
Another quick find, getting the hang of these. TFTC and puzzle.
A long weekend in Chch to celebrate the good work our planet does. There it is, whizzing round the sun at 23 degrees tilt or whatever, just doing its job, and I have now observed 50 laps of this loyal service. No big achievement on my part - I, and a few select others, have just kept myself fed and watered long enough to witness it, but nevertheless I have been summoned to Chch to celebrate this fact.
So regretting not heading down a day or two earlier, I made sure it was a very early start today. So much so that I was able to get from Blenheim to Lyttelton by 10am or thereabouts. A few hours caching up my sleeve then, before the others finish their work and we can get on with the weekend.
A good chance to find some solved D/Ts and various others on the way, as well as soaking in the views of the harbour on a glorious day. TFTC to all the COs.

Out on a Sunday Mission with Shannonp1 specifically to find some long solved puzzles including some D/T's. This was a quick easy find. Thanks for the effort that goes into placing and maintaining the cache.
Got a day pass so went out and about with Surevybase for another crack at some caches out around the bays. Had a few laughs and more than a few scrambles and generally a good time. Thanks to all the CO's for their time in placing these caches. Sorry about the cut and paste. TFTC.
TFTC. Today was a slightly cooler summers day. Perfect opportunity to pick up a few D/T solved puzzles.
Thanks the team of puzzle creators and cache placers.

Ha ha. I love a bit of a challenge to my acting like a mountain goat abilities. I was pretty confident on the uprise but a bit hesitant about the downward journey - but all proved safe and fun for me and the log was happily signed. Cheers and happy caching and thanks for another D/T.
Came over to Diamond Harbour area to collect a few of these D/T puzzles before heading down to the Oamaru event this weekend. Once a bit of a trail was spotted on the embankment it was full steam to GZ. This is such a lovely quiet place - thanks for bringing us here TheWanglers.
This was the seventh day of my driving trip down to Oamaru for Geofest 2017. I stopped every five to ten kms or so along the way to grab a cache. This expanded my driving time to a total of two weeks to get there and home again. I ended up going a total of 3,500 kms.
Another one for my DT grid. I was thankful for the less difficult approach. TFTC.

AngelG27, TikvaNZ and I have travelled from Canberra to find caches from the D/T 81 Series that we had managed to solve by ourselves, or as a team (some with nudges along the way from COs or previous finders). We were joined by IVSS_XX, so we decided to log as team F.A.I.T. for brevity.
Once I was cross-eyed, the numbers revealed themselves!! The cache retrieval required a bit of a scramble. TFTC

A beautiful day for a walk and some caching. We parked up at Purau and walked to Camp Bay and back. We even met a car load of cachers on the way. I was a bit worried about the higher terrain for this one but I managed to find a less direct route which wasn't so tough. This cache was a quick find. TFTC.

On a caching mission with AngelG27, Fox in Jox and IVSS_XX to find as many of the D/T81 caches as possible in a day. I was in NZ for my daughter's wedding, and my other daughter's graduation and planned to visit Christchurch to maintain caches and find as many of these as possible. AngelG27 and Fox in Jox decided to take the opportunity to have a holiday in NZ and join me, so over the last few months we have been beavering away at solving these. After some hints last night we (mainly Fox in Jox) were still solving today as we enjoyed a beautiful day's caching around Lyttleton harbour. Unfortunately we didn't get them all solved, or find all the ones we had solved so maybe another visit in the future. IVSS_XX took the opportunity to join us for the day.
Easily found. TFTC.

This trip to NZ was long planned, with the DT 81 series the main focus. TikvaNZ, Fox and I did lots of puzzle solving in preparation, many solved individually, but others solved cooperatively and some with a little push. Today was the day to make good on our solves and we headed out with Ivss_xx (signed as FAIT) to collect a stack of them. It was a long day, but we grabbed around 50 of them, with a few others thrown in for good measure. Unless otherwise indicated, caches were found in good order and in accordance with the hint.
Cache quickly found and log signed. puzzle sorted quickly.
Thanks for the cache and the fun!

Caching day with the whanau, dragging the boys along also as we do not get many opportunities nowadays to cache as a team. The ambivalent morning turned into a nice mostly sunny day, and we managed to get to a few! TFTC!!

Yay!! A scheduled geocaching day off motherhood for me, a day of daddy bonding for hubby (Though baby is always so well behaved for him that it's totally not fair!!! ), and so mum & I were off to go find as much as time would allow!! (But mum thought it was a good idea to bring the boys also!! So it ended up being as much as time & the boys would allow before they started complaining too much about the fact that we were caching... ended up with 38 though if my calculations are right - and quite a few high T - so not too bad.
We signed all the logs as Team Polak for simplicity sake, and time sake, and save the trees sake. (Though neither of the two of us who will actually log these are Polaks anymore anway!
Actually sent brother here, and he actually found it too!

My eyes aren't as good at these as they used to be, so thankfully I found an alternative way to solve it. In the area today and this was one of 3 "must do" caches to assist filling in my DT grid. No problems getting to the GZ today. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.
Mrs Sharpe was thinking about getting this one, but then decided no, Mr Sharpe can get this one so off he went. Enjoying the Sunday Drive and enjoying collecting the caches. Thanks for the series.
Jayde got a photo of me retrievi g this...ita to follow... log a bit wet but managed to write it up. 1st day of school hoildays and off we go out this way to get away from technology. With the kids we went to camp bay and explored the area and grabbed caches. Sorry for the copy and paste. Thank you for placing and maintaining D/T 1.5/4.5 (Canterbury) geocache, from Mr Cuddly Brick Found on this awesome day the 16 December 2016, sweet cache number # 1621
#12783. I took a minute or two to work out the best route to GZ, and once I got there made a quick find. TFTC.
The puzzles in the D/T series with solutions on the other side of the harbour have been beckoning us for a while and today, with the mild weather forecast, seemed an ideal opportunity to turn as many as possible into smiles.
I am blind to stereograms but luckily have found a website that does the heavy lifting for me. And StreetWalker did the honours again. TFTC.

In Christchurch for the Mega and on 26/10/15 headed out for the day with the group from Australia to do some D/Ts prior to return back home. Day was busy and fun filled. Tftc
[green] Out with Hanknstone again, doing a miscellaneous set starting with the Smile series and then working on the D\T group. After caching the last couple of days in the rain is was nice to finish the day with dry feet - sunny all day! (Surprise!). Lovely drive along the coast. Getting interesting now!
It was a nice sunny day so our intrepid band of travelling Aussies (and one Kiwi) had planned to tackle some of the D/T series on the south side of the bay.
We decided to start down the bottom end and work our way back, and not only were we surprised by the amount of traffic on this dead end road, the views from this part of the world are magnificent!
The drive along the bay picking up caches and enjoying the views made for a ripper day, and we all had a mountain of fun. Some of the caches were a bit tricky to find parking spots for all the cars but we soon over came that and everyone got to sign their name in the logs.
Thanks TheWranglers for a great cache series with a view.
Cheers

Found while in Christchurch for the NZ Mega with our Aussie mates from back home.
You encouraged us to this spectacular area and we saw the best views ever!
We had a great day cruising around collecting all the DT's we managed to solve prior to our trip.
Hopefully next time we can finish the series off!

Day nine of my New Zealand caching holiday. Today I was with Skullracing, The Geo Princess, Coruze , troo bloo, vk3gs&cc and sharkiefan. The weather was looking spectacular for the third day in a row and it was day two of our DT solved puzzle hunt. Some spectacular scenery was seen. We made a plan to drive to the end and pickup caches on the way back, but it ended up being a mistake as most were on the wrong side of the road. Anyway, a great day was had by all.
So many caches, so many spectacular views. Keep on rolling.

Out for some Mega caching with Kyzabra and Jinta29 today. Beautiful country cached today..Thank you TheWanglers for placing and maintaining this cache.
Jinta29 and I decided to head out this morning to grab and grab as many D/T combinations as possible. The Green Geckos decided to join us so off we went.

Great views from here
Kyzabra and I headed over for the Christchurch Mega from Perth, WA. We teamed up with The Green Geckos for the DT series today.
A lot of planning was involved with literally hundreds of puzzles solved and we targeted some highly favorited caches as well as those that filled gaps in grids and calenders!
We had a fantastic time caching in the cooler climate and with no fear of snakes or other nasties! Christchurch is my old home town but I did not know about caching when I lived there so it was fun exploring the City with a different objective.
We were glad to grab the smiley on this one and we replaced the container as found. Thanks TheWanglers for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

Found with my tools (skullracing, ahomburg & coruze) as well as some other Aussie cachers. We made a go of the solved DTs that we had. Very few by me....
We picked a cracker of a day to be out and about. I am pretty badly sunburnt. We went from the furthermost cache to the ones closer to town. Probably not a good idea as they were all on the other side of the road or so it seemed. A great series and a lot of fun. Tftc

Day 3 of my New Zealand caching tour in the lead up to the NZ mega, and the day was mostly spent chasing down the puzzles that I had solved of the D/T geoart series. If the morning was the adventurous section of the series, then this afternoon was the speed section. Quick solve on the puzzle, and a quick stop at GZ today.

One of us has eyes that can get into that 'not quite focussed on anything, look right through the page' mode needed to solve 3-D puzzles way too easily. All the same, it was the other of us that quickly got the puzzle solved.
Parked nearby and scoped out the best way to reach GZ. After that it was just a case of carefully doing it. Thanks.

Tufty and I spent 7 hours signing off most of our solved Mega Group's D/T puzzles. Went crosseyed getting the coords. This was cache #23 (of 35 for the day) signed off. Thanks Mega Group for the great work in placing these caches.
BaldEd and I had previously agreed that we would go together to try for the D/T series puzzles that we had solved. Today is the day for the first onslaught to sign them off.
Cheers for the cache and series.

Out and about with MadCat9. Luckily we both were not working today. The mission was to find ad many dts as possible. Both of us went way up there. Hmmm no not there. Try again.. Yes we found it.
Out on a mission today with Nosynel to clean up the Diamond Harbour side of the DT series! Another mad scramble and I soon had my hand on this one! Thanks for the puzzle, I had fun solving this one, so easy when you know how!
When I(vo) arrived in Newzealand the weather was really dreary, so I hade enough time to solve some mysteries. This one was solved by "ca" in switzerland! Today I went for a longer trip around the bay with a two brasilien muggles to collect some off the solved mysteries. Due to the hint I found this one quickly. I really love this area of Christchurch, the scenerie is fantastic!! Thanks for the mystery and the cache. Cheers from switzerland!
This style of puzzle is so much fun. Terrain was starting to get tricky now and careful footwork required here. Those embankments are crumbly ! Only visible here from the vessels in the bay beyond and passing cyclists.

A bit of a scramble here! All good though.
After a bit of DT puzzle solving Kiwi Moose and I went forth and collected a few smiley's on the DT series, and a few other caches that we just happened to pass by.
