forgot a pen, but my first find!!

18-Jun-24
We woke to a very cold morning and then the fog came in. A short move today as we traveled from Bowning to Canberra. But we stopped in downtown Yass to try two Ad Labs before heading further. We only managed a couple of caches on the way due to roadworks, but after setting up in Canberra we headed out to see what we could find. After driving up Mt Ainslie to see that magnificent panorama of Canberra we headed back and walked up ANZAC Avenue. Always a good thing to do, but this time with a series of Labs as our guide. It only warmed up a bit, but still a good day hadThank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache D+d'.**SKI Pair****

This is my first geocache. Thanks to QueenK8 for the introduction to geocaching.

I was talking with some colleagues over dinner about geocaching. One has been on an adventure with me before and talked it up to the others. In the end, three of them jumped into my car and came to learn what geocaching is We found two of the three caches that we looked for this evening: a realistic introduction! One person was so keen that he signed up for an account as we walked back to the car! This cache took a few minutes to find. The phone app put us in the open, so we took it in turns to search the surrounding trees. Everyone was very excited when one of them found the cache! They read the notice inside the lid and looked through the log book while I dashed back to the car for a pen. Thanks for the cache, D+d

#1216 Coordinates had Turtle and I bouncing around here in the light rain, but that didn’t stop us. Using our geo senses as well as the caches listing we were able to focus our search. After a short search Turtle was the one with the keen eyes and had found the cache. Thanks D+d' for another cache, everything all good here!

We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. Geocaching has taken us to so many great places in this beautiful country. I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.

Stopped off a made a quick find here. It was easily spotted but the retrieval took a lot more. Had to return to car for a grabber as my arm wasn’t long enough. Left a TB.

Thanks for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Needed a quick cache for today and picked one off the map, but didn't pay attention and went the wrong direction. Instead of doubling back or doing a detour I had a quick look what was in my way now and this one popped up.
Had to wait for a couple moving on with their dog before making an easy find.

One of those quick after work stop-offs, when you just feel like nabbing a cache or two before you lock yourself away for the night.

I have no idea why this is named after Al Pacino, but having just seen the real Mr Pacino in an outstanding performance playing Jimmy Hoffa in the new Scorsese film 'The Irishman', I think it's a terrific name.

Fortunately swooping seems to have ended for another year, making for an uneventful and simple find here in this nice little green strip. TFTC Smile
