After a good fossick neither Hughdg or myself could locate the container, judging by the DNFs this could use some maintenance from CO
Popped in for another look around, looked , looked and Looked but NO luck. It may need to be checked.
Out with Geo Jessie for a pm of caching. No where to be seen. Time for a CO check methinks!
Came here with team geocacher Mr. T. with a good idea of what might be expected of us. However, after searching the area for 20 minutes to no avail we came away thinking perhaps it has gone AWOL or perhaps we need a visit to Specsavers!
Possibly not retrieved how one thought one might, but the grounds people had left there cuttings there...and I got it!! Excellent cache- good fun!! TFTCC:-)
This was the third time looking for this cache and I'm so glad I came back to try again. This is such a great cache! So much work put in to it! Found both tools to complete the find. TFTC!

Due to the cache being continuously vandalised. I have made repairs and provided more camo to avoid muggles causing more damage. You MUST find the container that hold the key BEFORE attempting to retrieve the log. If you find the log holder first please do NOT attempt to retrieve the log as this will damage the log holder.

Had a site visit on this side of town and called in for what I thought would be quick and easy.... What an awesome cache. I quickly found the cache and thought hmmm a cache note but no log book... OK I have a spare in the car nearby I can fix that had better read the handwritten note as it might be by the police or CERA ...... ohhh this isn't the cache. Plug? penny drops, now where would that be..... spied something out of the ordinary and upon inspection proved correct. Knew what was next and took a couple of trips and had the cache in hand! This ranks very close to the top of my best found caches ever! Thanks for the time and effort put in to this. I know it takes a lot as I have a similar half constructed......
Neat hide. Nice effort indeed. After talking to Jess.daphne I realised I overlooked another element to the puzzle which would've made the extraction of the cache a lot easier. But I got it out easily enough. The hide is looking a bit battered though and some of its camo has come away. It might need a bit of tlc to keep it well disguised. Tftc.
Had a DNF here a couple of days ago. So notified the CO of an issue with the cache. Got a message back saying good to go. Came back and thanks to the CO this was awesome. a quick find and a little adjustment and boom! I was on business. cache popped up and was retrieved ..signed the log. Thanks for bringing me here to this place, TFTC Quakecity , from Mr Cuddly Brick (or MCB if is a small log), 8 March 2016, cache number #1252! Definitely deserves a FP awesome cache!
Lid was on so tight we couldn't budge it to complete the cache. found both the tool and container. was getting really excited until we couldn't open the lid up to do the rest of requirements. why someone would Jame it on so tight that others couldn't complete it is beyond me.
Just like the last cacher, there was no tool to open the cache. My partner in crime for the night, Lunar4, emailed the CO. Hopefully back to normal next week when I pop back into Chch before heading back home to Palmy
Not sure what's happening here as I found both caches on the ground and no tool. Couldn't open one so replaced both where I thought they should be. Good luck to the next person. Thanks for the effort that has been put into this cache. Shame some muggle had to ruin the fun.
Road closed sign gone now, so felt more comfortable coming this way. Still to only resident for miles still gave us the fingers.
A nicely crafted cache, fav from me.
Thanks to all the CO's for their hides.

I use to live in Goodman street as a Teenager and boy has it changed. Last time I was in the area a few houses were left but now nothing. Found GZ easily and managed a complete circle before zeroing in on the cache. Seen a few of these now but still impressed with the work that goes into the construction. Managed to retrieve easily and soon on our way to check out the nearby LG cache.
Tftc was a hole down bottom so didn't bother filling but young skinny arms did the trick
It's always sad for us to come into this area,as our old Neighbourhood futher East looks just the same,as here..We couldn't do what was expected of us,as there is a leak at the bottom..So one of our ever helpful tools came in handy..Where there is a will..There's always a way.. Cheers Barbara & Terry.TFTH
Great location, and fun cache! Came along with a handy friend just in case but only needed him to get the lid off the cache which was stuck on tight. Tftc!
A very clever cache. Was not able to remove the top of the cache container to sign log (probably due having a broken bone in right hand), so have attached a photo of the container. Thanks very much for the hide.
Wow! This was cool! Had lots of fun figuring out the cache. I spent quite a while on this one, and was lucky that I'd just replaced everything when some muggles came along. TFTC!
7168. A rainy day and Rodney had done all the indoor tasks on his list so of he went geocaching in the wet. This was cache number one, and a very appropriate one! Luckily he had the right equipment on hand. Very nice hide. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.
Found with Sir Belac. Clever cache. The lid was on very tight and took a while to open. TFTC

Well this one took us a couple of trips! One to figure out the lay of the land (or is that water) & perfect our technique. Another trip to get everything to flow properly & make the grab. Thanks for maintaining this cache. Driving around the area is mind blowing just realising how many folk have lost their homes. One driveway after another to nothing. What was once someone's sanctuary, their hopes and dreams is simply gone.
Took a couple of attempts before I was able to get my hands on the log. But luckily I'm a tool-using human.
Replaced log. NOTE: When putting the log back in its holder please do the lid up nice and tight.
Great cache! I had gathered equipment to make one of these but it hasn't got further than that. I enjoyed seeing your very well executed version. The log book is very wet and I had trouble signing it. It is in several pieces. Thanks for the fun.
This one gets a fav from us. Have read online about ones like this but never seen one. Tftc
Wow, what a wonderful creative hide. Sad to see the surrounding area, but I love that caching gets us to go and stay connected to these places. Fav point for the innovations
Awesome cache, I enjoyed having to be resourceful and the sense of success was great. My pen ran out of ink so I couldn't write on the log! Tftc
I've seen a couple of these before, though not using that particular extra "tool". This one takes the prize for best camo, I actually walked past it to get the tool I'd already spotted. As soon as I had the tool I turned around and laughed as I saw it. Nice one! The swag inside was wet but the log container is doing its job and the log was dry.

We had some time to kill before the kids finish school. We ventured out for this cache, its pretty jumanji looking round here. I didn't realise I was standing next to the cache till I touched it. For us newbies this was awesome!! Really great to see these flash looking caches an how fancy they can get. TFTC
Have seen a few caches of this type. Nicely constructed and nicely camoed. I figured I knew what I needed by reading the cache page, so bought my own tool. Worked well too. Thanks for the cache.
Left home a bit earlier on my way to this morning's CITO at new Brighton Beach so that i could stop past here in daylight. Have come across a few of these before - but this one is very nicely made. Signed the log no worries.
Onwards; to another Cache then the event. Cheers.

A well named cache. I managed to sign the log without needing any tool. Seen this before but this is the best constructed yet. A fav from me TFTC
Great cache. Found it before we found the tool. Hard to get the lid off. All good however. Tftc
Located cache and tool and knew what had to be done but was difficult accessing cache. Finally got there and loved the challenge. Awesome cache, have not seen one like this before. Hope it lasts!
It is some years since I last was in this part of Christchurch. It is sort of horrifying to note how this area has been affected by the earthquakes. On arriving at GZ I soon cottoned on to what was required to sign the cache, having seen 3 or 4 caches of this type previously. Fortunately I had with me a tool that allowed me to quickly unlock the cache. This cache gets a fav from me for all the work that went into it's creation. Thanks for placing it Quakecity.
A quick Sunday afternoon mission with the family. We'd found a similar cache in Oz so figured out pretty quickly what to do. A neat cache that gets a favourite from us. Thanks for placing it!
While P went back to the car M used some articles that were available near by and managed to get at the cache. A well thought cache deserves a favourite. TFTC
Went to visit a friend and was heading home and made a go of this one. I parked by the water screw and headed into the 'wilds'. Gee it's looking wild around here now. I spotted the cache straight away. Doh, I didn't have a tool that was necessary. I scrounge around for a few items that would help. I can't say too much more as it'll spoil the fun. I eventually extracted the log and left with a smile.
Thanks for the cache.

Located, but wasn't able to extract, even with the 2 different lots of tools I tried. I have another plan....
Loved the cache!!! Took all our resources to solve and we had some quite unusual "make dos." Still a shock to enter this kind of territory, but it does no harm to remind ourselves. Not too sure how long the log will last, it was quite damp. This is only the third kind of these we have seen and so appropriate for that area. Thanks and a fav from us.
{*FTF*} [22:00] I'm so glad there wasn't a video recording of me finding this cache... would have looked like a cave man trying to use tools for the first time... it took me an embarrassingly long time to put two and two together and retrieve the cache, I don't want to give too much away, but there was definitely a moment where I thought to myself, "Dan, you're a freaking moron!" Loved the cache, worth a favourite point for sure. I think I have only found one other like this, and seen a whole lot more videos online of similar ones overseas. Love the amount of effort that has gone into it. TFTC (2051)
