Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Jemillalucy, Bennyboppers and Lisylou). No luck for us today
Last one for the walk up and down the mountain today. But no luck. Pretty sure I found the place it should be but nothing there. And nowhere else fitting the description. May be gone.
On the way back up the hill the dilemma here was do we bush bash to GZ or do we walk to the top and follow the path back down. For fear of getting scratched up by the vegetation we took the soft option and walk to the top only to walk back down again.
We got there in the end and were able to add out names to the log book .
Thanks Fisher Clan

This was another cache we ran out of daylight to find last time we were here. It took the Geo Kids a little time to find it but we enjoyed the peaceful surrounds while we looked. It was quite damp and wet inside the container, so we had to wipe/dry it out. Wrote on log then hid it again where we found it.
I nearly forgot about this cache as I was so excited to get to the top of the mountain on foot. Seirra1 gave me a reminder and we grabbed it on the way down. TFTC.
Found out and about with us3scouts while visiting friends at Kingaroy. TFTC Fisher Clan.
Last day in Kingaroy and had a coffee in town. Grabbing caches on the way back to Aunty's house

What a lovely walk this was. Had we not been looking for caches, we probably wouldn't have even noticed these steps and walked the track. Really enjoyed this one, TFTC
With the geomobile parked at the bottom of the mountain,
and me having wandered up the mountain to the top,
via the mountain bike trails,
I had no choice but to head back down the steps
At least there was a cache to find around half way [^]
A quick find by the seat

Great walk in a nice area with good friends. Nice easy find for our newbies.
Decided to go for a wander north today and make the most of another day off work. Got a LOT further out than I anticipated but its a great region to do that in!
Heading up this hill, stopped to dash to the cache and quickly found and signed the log. Thanks for the cache in this neat spot !

Out and about in the camping van for two days of Geocaching. [^]
Now for day 2. AND I have just realised I have been writing the wrong dates in the caches for 2 days.
A quick dash along the bitumen but i am sure i will be back on another dirt road before long. The van will need a wash after two days of dirt roads.
I slowly made my way to this cache as the van is not exactly the vehicle of choice for these roads.
A nice walk down and back from the lookout.
Another quick find here.
Thanks for the cache.

Left geowife at the lookout and started off down the steps towards GZ, great walk and a good workout. Stopped for a chat with some walkers and their dogs before starting my search and as it turned out I was only about 2 meters from the cache. Deserves a favourite point for the walk and great scenery. Now to get back to the top. TFTC Fisher Clan
Took a shortcut from the road was a bit of an effort getting through the bush but worth it TFTC
6429 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1120. We came here to find the top cache in 2013 on our way up to Cook Town. It was time to come back just for the view. The GPS'r showed 300 odd metres away. We went back to the parking area at the bottom and baby walked up from there. Just magic the environment here. A fairly easy stroll to gz with only a short distance of steps to negotiate. SL Tnx Fisher Clan. A favourite from us.
We will be leaving very soon to attend the Red Centre Experience Event being held in Alice Springs and have decided we would try to make that event a milestone ... the only problem is we are a few hundred caches short This was the perfect excuse for a quick road trip through Nanango/Murgon/Kingaroy The weather was a little rainy, but surprisingly we remained relatively dry during the day with the worst of the rain occurring while we camped overnight [^]
We managed to locate this cache easily and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our journey.
Thank you Fisher Clan for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Beautiful walk down the track...was a little worried about meeting the wild life but no one was out to visit us. TFTC
Travelling around Australia and now super excited to be finally starting our trek to the Easter Geocaching Event at Alice Springs.
When we arrived in Nanango yesterday we were undecided on how long to stay [?] Maybe 4,5 or even 7 nights. Things to see and sooo many caches in this region.
Today we headed out to Kingaroy with an long list of caches to attempt. We did pretty well with 30finds but the car started coughing and sputtering so we limped into Kingaroy with our fingers crossed. Leaving the Geocruiser to be looked at we headed into town then realised we had left our GPSr in the car so out with the phone and we decided to look for a few more caches we had been studying last night.
Very hot out today but caching was a good way to pass the day. All the caches we found were in good condition. And now the decision seems to have been made we are in Nanango for a week (but without the GeoCrusier[B)] )

Found. A great way too after a lovely big dinner at a local restaurant last night lol! Miss 11 saw a few local wild life too!
If there's an easy way and a hard way to get to a cache you can bet your bottom dollar that I'll take the hard way. Mr Beetle dropped me off at the top and drove down to the bottom to pick me up. I headed off down the steps and once at the table didn't notice the steps heading off to the left and kept going straight ahead. Well needless to say I wasn't very impressed with this track that quickly became overgrown and rocky. Then when I checked the GPS I was rapidly losing my east coordinate. But I bumbled on thinking the track might turn. Down the hill I went wishing I had a brushcutter with me till I got to a point where I thought, "Bugger this!" Back up the hill I went and when I got to the table I noticed the steps off to the side. Duh!!!!
From then I followed a nice trail to the bottom, stopping on the way for an easy find at GZ.
Thanks for the smiley and a lesson in stupidity.

Here for Young Old Fella's Nanango Event & stayed a few extra days to knock a few extra caches out.
Took a short cut through the bush to the walking track & arrived at GZ.
Was a little hard to navigate the lantana but got there.
On the way found the easy way as usual.

Up in the Kingaroy and Nanango area for the Nanango Event. After the Event on the Saturday, spent 3 days chasing caches around the countryside and also in the towns. Seeing the different type of caches the CO's puts out in different locations that you would not do if you did not geocache. Thank you CO for bringing us to these spots. TFTC
Had an enjoyable weekend including attending Nanango's first Ever Event and searching for lots of caches. Saw wonderful scenery as well as wildlife on our travels through the back roads of the South Burnett. Thank you to all the COs who place the caches in these fascinating spots.
We are not too sure where these steps start at the bottom. We took a short cut through the brush and found the steps quite quickly. It was then a matter of climbing them until we neared GZ. We were moving quite quickly so it took a moment for the GPS to catch up to us and we were past GZ when we realized. We turned around - and wham - there was what we were looking for. Many thanks for taking us on this interesting excursion Fisher Clan. The others I was caching with today have found the other ones in this area so I will have to come back another time for them. Cheers! [^][^]
Mrs RoddyC took off down the track while I moseyed along down the hill in the GeoFalcon. After a good few minutes I spotted her emerging from the bush along a path so pulled in to collect her. Great walk, she says. I believe her!

We are heading to Nanango's first event and even though it is not till Saturday we thought we would stop along the way and the get the caches that often get missed followed by the comment we will do that one, one day. Last night we stayed in Murgon and tonight we are at the showgrounds in Kingaroy. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. Nice hide. Thanks to Fisher Clan for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location.
Out and about with GrannySmith1947 today. This is cache number 648. Took nothing left nothing. TFTC Fisher Clan.

Hi there Fisher Clan. We found your cache "Wooroolin Steps" at 12:51:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 11312.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area today. We usually start the day off by nominating a cache some distance away from our caravan park and then take a route mainly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. Today we started with a close cache and worked our way towards Kingaroy before stocking up with essential supplies.
When walking down the track we disturbed a chook we think may be nesting nearby.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Found it in the first place I looked.

Parked up the top and walked down the track to find this one. Great walk TFTC
Second to find!
This is a good one if u like bush walking. We walked from the top of the mt through the bush track then back up the road. Bit of a hike for the two littlies.
There Are closer spots to park rather than right up the top of the mountain.
Great hiding spot.

Parked where I could and walked about 300 meters down the steps. Walked back up the road which was much shorter. Arrived at GZ and had a quick look. In this tree cover I had the GZ 9 meters out but the place where you rest is virtually at GZ. Quick find. TFTC Fisher Clan
