With the area deteriorating even further recently, I have decided to archive this one. Just as Delly made the change from the Cavs to the Bucks, this cache will make a change and re-appear sometime in the future. I was pleased to find the original container with original log book and even some of the original Delly/Cavs themed swaps when I went to collect - almost 3 years after publishing.
Visited Maryborough for the weekend while my partner play darts competition and also an event as well. Lovely place to look around. Found it. Thanks becca85 for the cache.
After a short search we soon had this one in hand. A good hide.

Up from Warragul for a 70th, wandered down and grabbed this one the morning after.
Thanks becca85 FTC.

A fairly quick find here in a fairly gross spot. Quiet here today and I was glad not to be seen. Cache is great condition. Nice and dry even after all the rain that's been here in the last 2 days! SL and replaced. TNLN. TFTC!
Took my son and his mate out today for our first geocache adventure, they were super excited to find this. Thank you :,)
Found, thank you! Luckily it was a quick find as this is the closest cache to my home and I was pleased not to be seen by my neighbours hovering around the skips . TFTC!!
It's always been too busy when I've been past so I finally talked the other half into coming out with me late at night! Finally got to tick this one off. Thanks
Found it, first thought access would be a problem and nearly gave up before seeing it.
As it transpired, this was our last for Thursday, and thank goodness a success, although it felt strange searching near the toilets. Nearly as bad for us old duffers as searching in kids playgrounds. Fortunately Carleen engaged the fellow walking his dog while I looked. Soon found. Pity we were pushed for time, maybe we'll come back and stay in Maryborough next time. Thanks.
Really in a less desirable location, lots of detrieus about. Signed and off.
I rolled into the 'stadium of dreams' on the bike today
But where I found meself searching around isn't the most exciting spots,
given this cache is dedicated to a local hero !! [:o]
The area is more of a slam - dump than a slam - dunk [:o)]
The cache was found after a bit of a scrunch around behind the 'field of bins' !! [:o]
TFTC
And some local sporting knowledge [^]

Suscoe had a big day out caching today.
230 kms on the speedo by the time we stopped and a terrific day of caching was had.
The day started out with 5 degrees as we headed for Ballarat but soon the numbers started climbing and by tea time is was 34 degrees on the car dial.
The countryside is so very dry up this way but it is February and it is the central highlands.
The traffic was light and we saw a few wallabies out in the bush.
Thanks to becca85 for this cache.
This young man has certainly done well and achieved a great deal.
Hopefully the town is proud of him.

A quick find this evening with GetMeOutOfHere55 and our muggle driver. It was lucky he knew the area well as my compass went in the wrong direction. I understand that the Little Aths Club held their Open Day near here today, but all was quiet when we visited. Love the idea behind this one. Took TB. TFTC
We pulled in to town this afternoon and then went out to find some of the caches around town. This was our first one. Thanks for the hide and the information about this Australian star.
Using the skip as a great cover we were able to search and sign this cache without any muggles being any the wiser.
Thanks becca85 for the placement.
PS unless the skip gets smelly, we think its a suitable concealment for our shenanigans

Although it seemed fairly quiet when we got here it didn't take us long to notice that people were constantly coming and going. Luckily GZ provided enough privacy to enable a quick search.
As we returned to car a big bus pulled up and its occupants started to empty into the car park. Meaning if we had of been 5 minutes later we probably would of missed this one.

TFTC. Heading back into Town from the Res. Took another detour. Certainly have heard of Della. I did play basketball in my youth but never to those heady levels. A quick easy find just before a ladies aqua class came out of the building.
Came out this way to the Capilano factory and grabbed a few caches. Nice and quiet today and I spied the container after a short search. Thanks becca85 for the cache.
We didn't realise this was tribute to a basketball player but the nearby sports centre should have given us a hint. The location of the cache turned out to be somewhat less salubrious but we were not deterred for a find at 16:05. TFTC

Up early this morning to grab a couple of caches and clues for a puzzle before work. Hmm, not sure about the location of this cache...

Found in the company of Kazba16 and claybol and three geo underlings, don't think I'd feel good doing this on my own but with a scout on the outer we quickly made the find and signed the log and made a hasty retreat. glad for the smilie and the most amazing day of caching with friends as we chased down so many of your hides becca85 .
Find #880 with jtnsilo and kazba16, and the last find on a very enjoyable day with friends and family (kids). I was glad to have the others with me since a single male poking around in the bushes, or loitering near public toilets (if I stopped searching while waiting for muggles to pass), could easily attract unwanted attention from local law enforcement. As it turned out, the ladies found this one fairly quickly while I stayed with my 4yo daughter some distance away. Thanks for this cache becca85, and others belonging to you that we found earlier today!
Found with Claybol, jtnsilo and geokids. Had a chuckle reading Claybol's log Thank you for placing this cache becca85 and for the fun adventure you gave us today finding your other caches. It made for a very memorable day trip! Thanks again
This was the first of 14 caches that I found around Marybrough on a lazy cool day up here.
nice to find out where Delly grew up, I had no idea
Tricky little hide that had me feeling a tad suspicious poking about in the bushes near a loo!

I must admit to never having heard about Delly but it is good to see the community getting behind this local sportsman. It took a while to come up with the find here but eventually found a well stocked cache in good order. Thanks becca85
A random Wednesday off work saw me heading over to Maryborough and surrounds for some caching with my 5 year old geokid and we managed to convince wozzle68 to come for the day too. I'm very familiar with Delly as he has been all over the local news and my FB feed for months now. Love the Delly fever in town (stuff at the information centre/library too). The cache however took a bit to find but finally we came up with the goods. Many thanks for the cache
**TFTC. SL. Had to wait a bit till all the swimmers had gone to look for this one. He's doing well in the US and making big money, maybe enough to buy Maryborough and change its name. Left a loom-band. this one would be hard to find when there are heaps of muggles around.**
Found with sharkiefan. Being a Saturday afternoon, we were really surprised that there was not a single muggle on the grounds. Made for a quick easy find though. TFTC becca85.
Found with chooknchunk. Everywhere in this town has a toilet. What's up with that? Tftc
Managed a slam dunk with this one today, we parked at the car park and after a short stroll we were at the gz and I quickly spotted the hide and signed the log while my boys sorted through the swaps. Thanks again becca85 for the hide.
Each Monday my daughter goes swimming here.
Each Monday I always say I am going to get this.
Each Monday I always forget.
Each Monday I always regret.
Alas, no more.
This Monday I remembered.
After the swimming was over and I had my obligatory black tea I remembered that this one was just sitting there....laughing at me.
Well today I remembered it and found it and signed the log.
Cop that nemesis cache!

Catching up on some late, very late and extremely late logs (400 in all)
I would like to thank becca85 for placing this cache. I always enjoy getting out and about to view this great country of ours and caching allows me to do that. Once at GZ, I sometimes find the cache quickly but sometimes it takes awhile to sus out the well camouflaged hide. Once found, log is signed and the cache is rehidden as found.
Once again thanks becca85.

We joined forces with The Coffees, Romax, Micaparamedic, The Morris, Maccamob & Phetlern
for a pleasant afternoon's caching after leaving the birthday event.
Not being basketball fans we hadn't heard of delly but did enjoy reading the information about him and by the time we found the cache we even knew what he looked like.
We added our names to the log book and returned it to it's hide before heading off to the next one.

A Birthday Party and the first ever Geocaching Event for this Central Victorian town; what better reason to be in Maryborough today! Found in the company of Team Crackers, The Coffees, Micaparamedic, The Morris and Maccamob.
Satellites today had our GZ 6m NE of the cache location. Not the most savory of locations.
Our thanks to becca85 for bringing us here.

We headed up to Maryborough today for neisha07's Birthday Event.
It was a beautiful sunny day and the caching was amazing.
It was fantastic to tour around the town as we drove or walked between the caches.
Thanks to becca85 for the wonderful hides.
Delly Delly Delly!
What a Legend.

We have been looking forward to travelling across to Maryborough to sample the new caches. Mr Morris was working but I teamed up with Phetlern and the convoy to do some caches around town.
I was avoiding the bees so I was happy to let others find it.

Found by Mary & David at 1625. We feared that the cache would be close to the nearby facilities, but were happy to find it a bit further away after a brief search. Our thanks to becca85.
Another find on our trip to Maryborough having a great day so great we have forgotten to eat. What's for tea becca?
As we had a 30th to come to Maryborough for and with Maryboroughs 1st Event coming up in the next 2 weeks we thought we would head over early and get some caching in that we had yet to do. With Mini ReganSeeker #1 being a massive Delly lover and basketball in general as soon as she knew the name of the cache, she was in for the race to find it and very proud when she did! TFTC and nice tribute becca85
Go Delly!!

Staying locally whilst orienteering in the area. Discovered this one with omaster and had to explain the relevance of the name to him. We were surprised that a tribute to such an important local identity wasn't in a more enjoyable location .

Found with Mi5sie as we spent a lovely day gathering some smiles, Mi5sie made this discovery as she headed straight to GZ. looking forward to returning soon to try for some more smiles. TFTC
I finally could claim a find today while out with Cherad, muggle hubby and geokid. Cherad had managed the 'found it' for most today. Thank you for this cache.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Cache in good order.

We pulled up here and Glanville Girls jumped out as there was a muggle nearby and I was running interference. The dogs were barking and as others have said it is a good spot for a CITO. I love the story and Delly is a great role model for young people. Thanks becca85.
Out and about with Mrs McLooker today on our way to St Arnaud for the weekend. We pulled up at Gz and jumped out. There was ALOT of rubbish around and our GPS had Gz over the fence where two very noisy dogs were barking. Hmm, a quick look in the most likely of places revealed the hide. Thanks for the hide. Becca85.
That's fine Becca- The next time I am past I will pop some gloves and bags in and do a quick clean up in the area I walked down. As I was not in my usual car, I had no bags to do it while I was there.
It's a shame the local council doesn't keep that area, that is now quite a famous place thanks to Matthew, cleaner and tidier.

We are currently working on the Victoria LGA Challenge and require a cache in the Central Goldfields area - are other gaps are to the north and east of Melbourne. As we still had about 5 hours before we had to catch The Spirit Of Tasmania home to Tassie, we decided to make a quick trip to Maryborough to look for a few caches. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache becca85.
Absolutely disgusting walking in that area. Wasn't game to put my hands anywhere in search of this one! Maybe a clean up before placement would have been handy. I'll be sure to put disposable gloves in the car next time. Thanks for the thought to put a cache though!!
FYI - I always CITO at Cache placement/maintenance and actually this area did not even require it at the time of placement - almost 3 months ago...
If the rubbish is an issue currently, I would assume that it may have blown over from the nearby skip or something... I am there every weekend during Summer and litter is not generally an issue...

We were in Maryborough for Saturday night, so on the way home we spent some time caching before heading to Melbourne town.
Quick find after searching near an unsavoury area.

Great tribute to a great athlete. Gps was jumping, and took us away from gz, which was obvious, in hindsite. Lots of rubbish to contend with and camo needed adjusting.
