Down here to do a difficult cache on my D/T chart & picking up some caches along the way TFTC
We are taking our cat Coco on a motorhome and Geocaching holiday. She looks after our home while we go off in Suzy on GC adventures.
Packed a picnic and did many walks.
Mr C drove motorhome to overnight spot and I took Suzy via this road for a couple of caches.
Must be tired as dropped car keys somewhere near and walked over and over my route. Not easy in the long grass looking for a black bear from Canada, finally success phew.
Thanks for this cache 1066.

I remember turning around at the very start of the road at some point in winter with my daughter as the road looked like it had been subject to liquefaction. All good today, and a quick find. The views were better the other way with the positioning of the clouds. TFTC!!
Last day of the week-end, it is now time to go back home, we take the long road and stop by a few caches, such as this view of Taylor Range (and so many deers). Both container and logbook are in good condition. Thanks for hiding this!
We enabled our geocaches now that geocaching is once more allowed under Level 2 guidelines. Happy Caching.
Disabled for the period of isolation so that you cannot catch the virus from this cache.
Heading back to the caravan now and this is the last one for the day. A nice quick find here. tftc
Found on our return road trip from Papamoa to Dunedin. No problem with the find. Merry Christmas and TFTC.
Quick detour here after climbing Little Mt Peel. GPS was a bit jumpy but found in the end. TFTC
Great day out caching in the area, lot of neat caches, and interesting spots, needed 43 more caches to hit the 10000 finds mark think I got 62 for the day trip. Many Thanks Bitsprayer.
Found on a quick trip to Peel Forest. Found a Travel Bug Z97ECG. Will move it on asap. TFTC
Had 2 cars coming the opposite direction and asked ourselves what they were doing on this road. Great view to the ranges, TFTC
Last weekend of the School holidays so decided to spend a couple nights in Geraldine. Walked to Rata Falls & had lunch. Boys wet and happy, Mrs TG content. Grabbed a couple caches whilst in the area. Nice views out to the mountains. Cheers.
Day 2 at Mt Peel. Having had enough physical exercise, tramping to both the Emily & Rata Falls during the morning, it was time to utilise the cachemobile for the afternoon's caching activity. I am glad I didn't have the caravan in tow as I drove to this cache. TFTC 1066
Called here this morning, the cache was a very quick find. Great views today, the weather was brilliantly fine and there was plenty of snow on the peaks. Signed log, TFTC
Day #2 of our Labour Weekend trip to Geraldine and today StreetWalker and I wanted to visit Peel Forest and do some of the walks in the area. Unfortunately, the day started out very misty so a slight change of plans saw us drive up the Rangitata Gorge Rd in the morning before tackling the walks about midday when the mist lifted.
Unfortunately, the mist meant that we could barely see across the river here, let alone further afield. We did have a great view of the pylon and the deer in the paddock across the road. After finding the cache, we turned around to find dozens of deer staring at us. Muggled! TFTC.

#13275. We could barely see the other side of the river, let alone any mountains. We did have good views of some shaggy-looking deer to the south of us however. TFTC.
Cache 23 of 27 today.
We went out for a bit of a drive on a cloudy/rainy day to give Al some new things to photograph. Plenty of Roads travelled that we would usually drive straight past.
Nice easy find on the road to Peel forest, had never travelled this road before so was a great change. Some very nosey Deer that seem to want to watch our every move.

Snow on the hills for the first time this year. Was hoping to go find some of the high caches this weekend but that will now have to wait until next summer. Tftc
Partner was enjoying the local rafting trip - not my cup of tea, but got the truck into gear and did some of the byways. Quick find

Off to the Mega this weekend and a 2 day pass has been granted for Geocaching purposes. It being a long weekend and all there was definitely a plan to get some caches and keep the numbers ticking along. Finished work at 12.00 and waited for the accompanying nightowl19 to finish her school morning. Pick her up and back home to get changed and a bite to eat before heading down the line. There's an event in Rangiora that we'd like to attend and we need to check into our accommodation. All interspersed with few caches too. Today is the planned 200 plus in a day, to be followed by as many types in a day on Sunday, then back home Sunday arvo. Quite the whistle-stop tour. Weather played fair, we ate take aways all weekend. . . . . . . . . . . shameful parenting, and had a great time. Even got to cache with G H 6 7 1 0 too, bonus. We set off at 0600 and were all done by 2000 so not toooo long a day. A few hundred kms driven by G H and in the comfort of his 4 x 4 too.
To all the COs that placed these caches many thanks for facilitating this epic journey and (normally difficult caching target. In Marlborough I've already done so many so big numbers days are nigh on impossible without having to travel out great distances. Most logs were signed G C N being an acronym of our combined caching names. We replaced around half a dozen which were plainly missing on Thompsons Track which will surely help those who follow us.
Apologies for the cut and past logs and last of all T F T C all . Thanks

An epic day of caching today, out to achieve 200+ finds in a day while I'm in Christchurch for the Mega event. There was also the lure of a virtual cache down in Peel forest, which isn't really that far from the numbers game along Thompsons track. A great day out and about, revisiting places I haven't been in years, and finding new places along the way. I teamed up with Capperz and Nightowl19 at 0600 in Rolleston, and off we headed in my cache mobile and general all purpose off road land rover. We signed the logs primarily as G C N to save space and time.
This was a quick find, and unfortunately there wasn't a view due to low cloud and drizzle. T F T C

Continuing on that old road, and a great view. Loved approaching the cache site. One of those that you just know where it will be!! Thanks.
I was with 1066 when they put this cache in but couldn't claim FTF as that wouldn't have been fair. View not as good as when we placed the cache.
Quick find on way to Geo event at Peel Forest. Made the most of a warm sunny day, picking up caches. TFTC.
