Bush Track and I had a joint day out caching in the area, it was enjoyable to spend the time together. We had 25 Finds, 1 DNF, and 1 we had to leave due to a Snake!
An Easy find but the hint made us look at the trees as we got closer it wasn't under the trees.
Thanks, Grumbligrot for placing this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyement

Had a bit of a search here today! With a view like that it's ok with me!! Tftc
out and about with 1 Lil Rafa today caching in the northern part of the state, having completed most of the caches on the Midlands Highway its a straight through trip to Launceston or beyond, great views over the port, a small walk to GZ and an easy find with clues. TFTC TNLN log dry.
Thanks for the cache Grumbligrot. Heading north today with RLD4963 for a weekend away at Low Head. Decided to take a few little diversions along the way to find some caches, and so headed to the Bell Bay area. Made our way to GZand made a quick find. Certainly lots of industry to see from here.
Found thank you for the cache. Took a couple of pieces of rubbish. If everyone who visits we would have the area rubbish free.
With a name like Bell Bay Wharf, I decided to head down to the Bell Bay Wharf assuming it was there, but no! I had to turn back, scratched my head, checked out my GPS and realised that I had to take a different road. So finally back on track, and then off track, and then I saw the obvious and a nice easy find, cache is in good condition and nicely hidden but with a great view of the wharf! TFTC and the runaround
Heaps of rubbish hear, even an old towel rail. The GPS had me at a stump at 0m metres and a search was made but no cache was found. I thought I would DNF. Moved to the other stump near by and the cache was found.
Today I decided I would head up to pipers river to collect a multi and then continue over to Georgetown/low head to pick up the remaining few caches I had left to find it the area. A total of 17 finds turning 6 DNFs into smileys. Was great to even run into some fellow cachers: Tassietrekers and whitewebs on their journey in the area.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

Not where we expected it to be but the coordinates were close enough to make a quick find.
Took a bit of rubbish away.

Isn't it amazing what views you find while chasing caches
Even out here in the industrial heartland of the Aluminum Isle,

Hi there Grumbligrot.
We found your cache **"Bell Bay Wharf"** at 11:38:00 AM today. (This brings our total find count to 18664).
Yesterday nothing seemed to go according to plan. Everything just seemed to go wrong - but today was quite different and the sky gods smiled on us. Today we decided to revisit the caches we couldn't find yesterday, and then take a "next closest" approach to find a few more, & ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes on our journey. We had an absolutely wonderful drive and our count for the day was 13 finds (& 2 DNF's).
Thank you for placing a large cache here (it was a bit of a stretch to retrieve it though. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

We missed Mobil Road first time around, but some realised the error of our ways and hit the right route. The little dirt track opposite the woodchips is now blocked off by some monster rocks, but parking is still no drama and the cache was soon in hand. Nice views out over the water. Thanks Grumbligrot for providing the cache.
TFTC another in this series ticked off. Now for the final one. Thanks for the work in setting this series up.
My first time to Bell Bay and i think i have seen all i want to see. Its a pretty cool site but at the same time.....ughhhh let me just drive though one side and out the other.
Mr Beetle headed off with the GPS and had this one before I had even got organised enough to get out of the van.
Loved the views from GZ, another beautiful spot along the Tamar River.
Unfortunately the track that we drove in to to access this cache was a bit of an eyesore with lots of rubbish dumped along it.
Thanks.

TFTC great to be able to pick up the next piece of the puzzle. Great view of the wharf from GZ.
As we did things the wrong way around, this was our final find of the 8 hides in the puzzle series. In some respects we'd managed to save the best for last as this would be one spot & view that the muggles, sorry - tourists, would never get to see. We took the signs to heart & parked on the road just outside the gate, though in hindsight we could have driven our motorhome closer as suggested. The "go go Gadget arms" were used to good effect in retrieval. We enjoyed our sneak peek at goings on down at the wharf as we performed our own goings on with the cache. Thanks for this wonderful series of caches Grumbligrot. All good fun & a great tour of the Georgetown area (even though we didn't do your official "tour").
A quick find here, lovely view of the river and pics taken. Shame the local goons seem to use this area as a tip. TFTC This is a lovely area and we're enjoying our third day's caching here. The weather is perfect though overcast. Also looking forward to the event this evening to meet and thank all the Tassie CO's who have added so much fun to our touring here.
We've now only got four weeks left of our six month stay (til the end of March '16) from the Kurrajong area, (Blue Mountains) NW of Sydney, to tour in the caravan and also visit our kids and grandkids in the Huon Valley On four previous visits before this visit, we were muggles, so we're having fun finding the caches we didn't even know were here! even know were here!

Today we travelled to George Town to attend the leap day event arriving at 12.00 noon to allow us to find caches published since our last visit. We had 27 on our list including the event. We managed to find them all and enjoyed the variety of hides and our tour of George Town.
Enjoyed this series which kept us on our toes remembering to look for clues.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

We were a bit unsure the best way to approach this cache but the car gps did a good job of getting us close. We had a quick walk around to gz and found the cache quickly but needed a stick to coax it out. We are nearly done! TFTC
Found with geokid #2 in the school holidays. Great, cache, location and view. TFTC.
Travelling around Australia and now in Tasmania!
Headed out on a glorious day to visit Bell Bay and George Town.
The morning was indeed glorious but after lunch it was a bit windy but still sunny.
We managed to find your cache today.
Glad to be able to see this Port up close. Thanks for bringing us here.

We were in the area today doing caches that have been published since our last visit. We enjoyed doing this new series and solving the bonus puzzle cache after we had obtained all the clues. Thanks for the fun and for all the effort put into the placement and nicely stocked containers. Great view. TFTC
Yay last one so now to sit down and nut out the eighth one. Container looked a bit exposed so I put a bit of natural blanket over it. TFTC
Quickly found the cache.
Great view, can even see the top of Batman Bridge from the GZ. It's a shame that some locals have chosen to use this area as a dumping ground.

Cheers

A rather busy place, pleased for the experience as this is the first time I have been near this part of Tasmania. Thought to myself that this spot would have been a better location for the finale to the series, excellent.. thanks..!!
Our first reaction when we arrived at this location was that it would be a wonderful site for a CITO - there was just so much rubbish. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find although retrieval had to approached from a different perspective as arms didn't have sufficient reach. The cache and contents were in good condition. It was a different view down the river from this location, not impeded as there were no ships at the wharf. Thanks for the cache Grumbligrot.

Didn't know that this spot existed, great little view of the wharf. Shame about all the rubbish near by.
Left TB for someone else to move on
