After smashing my PB at Parkrun headed to the industrial part of town to look for a few caches. Had to use my BFE rake here to unearth this one, took us a while but eventually we turned up the cache. As previous finder reported the lid is smashed, needs some owner attention. TFTC
Found it with the help of a sturdy stick. Unfortunately said stick went straight through the container as it's brittle so will need some maintenance before winter. Poked back where I found it
So many prickly things, it’s like looking for a BBB, Big Bad Bradley, cache!

BEWARE SNAKE. I looked in and didn't see it a good job I didn't stick my hand in. Then Bush track looked in and saw a nice little snake. This one will forever stay green for me!!!
Bush Track and I had a joint day out caching in the area, it was enjoyable to spend the time together. We had 25 Finds, 1 DNF, and 1 we had to leave due to a Snake!
Thanks, Grumbligrot for placing this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment

This afternoon was free to collect geocaches in the North We decided to head to George Town to collect outstanding caches in the area.
Initially unsure where to park for this cache so ended up doing a couple of turns before parking across the road just 25 metres from the cache. There was definitely lots of foliage thats for sure but soon located and signed log. TFTC

out and about with 1 Lil Rafa today caching in the northern part of the state, having completed most of the caches on the Midlands Highway its a straight through trip to Launceston or beyond, easy find with clues TFTC TNLN log dry.
Thanks for the cache Grumbligrot. Heading north today with RLD4963 for a weekend away at Low Head. Decided to take a few little diversions along the way to find some caches, and so headed to the Bell Bay area. Was a little hesitant as we approached GZ, but cache was quickly spotted and we added our names to the log.
Great spot well-maintained catchy
Swap some swag
Was there with my good friend Fabulist. TYFTC

Not quite a driveby as I had to park outside the George Town Fire Brigade Training Complex, but then a quick walk to the wetlands and a very easy find thanks to the hint. I am guessing that this cache may have been a multi or puzzle cache in the past. TFTC.
An interesting place with the fire service there.
The boys loved it.

Out with mum to do some caching for the day around Weymouth and Georgetown area. Nice and easy drive by TFTC
Day fifteen of our holiday in Tassie. Bettyboo3747 and I are still staying at Low Head Pilot Station.
The forecast was wet, wet, wet, but more so in the afternoon (windy goes without saying!), so we jumped into the geomobile and set off for a couple of puzzles we solved last night, and a few other caches around George Town. Cached until it starting really raining, the scarpered back to the Pilot Station Cafe for lunch, then a tour of the Maritime Museum in the afternoon.
No training or any other activity around GZ today (we reckon they were all at the footy! - see later log)
So it was a relaxed search and find.
Thanks, Robmc.

#14441. Day 15 of our 3 week holiday in Tasmania. Robmc and I are still staying at Low Head - such a wild and windy place today and I suspect most of the time, in fact! It is blowing like a banshee and with some heavy rain also has been rather bleak today. However, we drove back in to George Town and managed to gather up 11 caches for the morning before retreating back to the Pilot Station for lunch and a Museum Tour.
We have already discovered a similar hide today so this one didn't take me long. Dropped in some more of my little envelopes as SWAG and away we went again, still trying to beat the rain.
Thanks Grumbligrot

There is some sort of survey info hanging in the tree near GZ - the cache has nothing to do with this.

Me bike ride today took me to a rather industrial area on a Sunday
So it was a lot quieter than it would be on a weekday [^]
That didn't stop the fire training skool from operating.
And there was a lovely smell of burning diesel drifting through GZ as I poked the prickles for a cache
Cache found,
I could indulge in another of me favourite Tassie summer pastimes
Blackberries
Yummo !!

Hi there Grumbligrot.
We found your cache **"Industrial Wetlands"** at 11:24:00 AM today. (This brings our total find count to 18662).
Yesterday nothing seemed to go according to plan. Everything just seemed to go wrong - but today was quite different and the sky gods smiled on us. Today we decided to revisit the caches we couldn't find yesterday, and then take a "next closest" approach to find a few more, & ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes on our journey. We had an absolutely wonderful drive and our count for the day was 13 finds (& 2 DNF's).
Thank you for placing a large cache here. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

We had an interesting drive around the industrial Bell Bay area and picked up a few caches along the way. We parked just down the road and wandered back to pick up this cache. We were surprised how busy this road was, but managed to sign and re-hide between trucks. Thanks Grumbligrot for organising the cache.
Back home after being in Tassie for a holiday, now the daunting task of logging all our finds, sorting through the scraps of paper with notes on them.
Had a few days of sunshine, a lot of days of rain, ended up with just over 105 finds all up on this trip, and visited many tourist spots in the north of Tassie.
found this cache on way to Georgetown/Lowhead
gps was spot on for finding this one.
thanks to grumbligrot for this cache

Travelling through for work and decided to grab some nearby caches. Watching the blackberry prickles closely, managed to locate the cache. Thanks
As the parking here was a bit dodgy for the campervan Mr Beetle stayed in it while I dashed over to make a quick find here. We then continued back in to Georgetown along this road, one that we had never travelled on before.
The contents of this container were a bit damp but I was still able to easily write in the log book.
Thanks.

Thanks.
We parked our motorhome as suggested outside the training facility. Activities within would be exciting to watch had they been happening with evidence of blazes fought all over the shop. A short walk had CiH but we had to quickly retreat to tree cover for signing as this is a busy road. Cache is rather dampish within though logbook was signable.
Pulled up here and thought 'wow this is an easy one' Only to find it was a survey sheet for a moth lol. A quick find was made anyway and all clues gathered now TFTC This is a lovely area and we're enjoying our third day's caching here. The weather is perfect though overcast. Also looking forward to the event this evening to meet and thank all the Tassie CO's who have added so much fun to our touring here.
We've now only got four weeks left of our six month stay (til the end of March '16) from the Kurrajong area, (Blue Mountains) NW of Sydney, to tour in the caravan and also visit our kids and grandkids in the Huon Valley On four previous visits before this visit, we were muggles, so we're having fun finding the caches we didn't even know were here!

Today we travelled to George Town to attend the leap day event arriving at 12.00 noon to allow us to find caches published since our last visit. We had 27 on our list including the event. We managed to find them all and enjoyed the variety of hides and our tour of George Town.
Enjoyed this series which kept us on our toes remembering to look for clues.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Followed the instructions and located the cache quickly. We are now pretty sure of the final location.

You've been kind to us Grumbligrot - this could have been a far more "prickly" adventure than it was. Thank you!
Quick find as almost parked on top of it. Ok. 12 metre walk. Lovely. Stretched legs.

We thought this might be tough as we pulled over and saw the big tree and surrounding bushes. Not so, CO had been kind here. This was the final before the puzzle so we pulled up at the nearby training facility to work out the final coordinates for number 8- the puzzle. Details checked and inputted to gps. Lets go! TFTC
TFTC once the blackberry bush was moved out of the way was able to grab this one and the clues inside that I needed.
Due to the traffic being diverted along here, away from the highway as a result of the fire at George Town, there was no way we could stop, so have to give up our chance of completing this series today sadly.
Another easy find in this series, it's nice to be looking for good size caches. TFTC
Travelling around Australia and now in Tasmania!
Headed out on a glorious day to visit Bell Bay and George Town.
The morning was indeed glorious but after lunch it was a bit windy but still sunny.
We managed to find your cache today. Out in the GeoCruiser so no problem with this cache.

We were in the area today doing caches that have been published since our last visit. We enjoyed doing this new series and solving the bonus puzzle cache after we had obtained all the clues. Thanks for the fun and for all the effort put into the placement and nicely stocked containers. TFTC
Quickly found the cache, pretty quit area out here on the weekend so not many muggles around at all apart let from a security dude driving past checking out what I was up to.

Yep parking close by is a bit exposed. A few large trucks cruised by as I was acting all innocent. TFTC
Interesting mock fire training ground. Had the place to myself bar a few trucks rumbling past.. thanks..!!
FTF with SSCHARLIE!
No workman today, but managed to make a friend with a doggie that had escaped from the pound. Safe and sound back at the pound again. TFTC

Saturday morning and no road works, headed out today with katiemac88 to grab FTF. TFTC
Muggles were not an issue today - the area was totally deserted. That enabled an unimpeded search. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache Grumbligrot.
