Followed the instructions but gave up due to aggressive dog attempting to escape the fence.
Found by following the hint. Nice little spot. The logbook is water damaged and may need replacing
Heading out for an afternoon of caching with Merlot58 - we tried to keep away from the malls and the crazy boxing day shoppers, but unfortunately we did get manage to get caught in some traffic near the malls. Parked in one of the culdesacs and made the short walk to GZ where we were met by barking dogs (possibly terriers???). Once at GZ, our GPS kept jumping around so we followed the hint and after a short search the cache was located under all the new growth.
This took longer to find than it should have but once I ignored the gps and focussed on the hint I found the cache in a place where we had already looked. It was tricky hunting with all the new vine growth everywhere
Quickly found after I put away the GPS and was more observant of my surroundings and used the hint. TFTC

Well, another place that we never knew existed! Great to do Geocaching as you can discover new places - and find cool containers .
The hint was great for this one, had the cache in hand after only 1 or 2 minutes.
Cache in pretty good state.

Another cache to get while finding some caches for the Mystery of the Museum.
The hint is very helpful! We found the cache after a few seconds.
Nice park to visit today . Logbook all good and dry.

In the area today with some spare time just for a quick find. ....opening up C:geo, I spotted this cache needing a smile attached to it.....arriving at GZ there were plenty of options here, but luckily the caching gods were on my side, to enable the speedy recovery of the cache.

Today I had some time to spare before I had to head to the airport and home. I decided to explore a bit of this area to see what I could find. Wandered into the trees and found the cache exactly as per the hint. TFTC, Biggles.
Found near where I started my search, hint is good if followed from the right place, TFTC
Our first ever find. Kids love this game, Pretty sure we'll be doing plenty now. Beware the mosquitos!
Thanks. Found 5 caches today while taking son for driving practice. Everyone happy
Up in Auckland for a great day of caching, cleaning out some previous DNF's and some newly published hides, thats for placing and mainting the cache.
I’m up in Farm Cove to drop Miss Davieland at her ballet rehearsal at the intermediate school so why not try and find some caches while I wait? Hint spot on - nice quick find and a dry log. TFTC.
Finally!! After numerous hunts to no avail! Thanks for the hint, certainly helped this time TFTC
Quick search and found after a couple of minutes. Use the hint, it's pretty spot on. This is our third attempt at this one. We were definitely way off the last few times before the hint was added. TFTC
We were out trying to get a few caches towards the Hidden Creatures and also to creep ever closer to finding out 500th cache. This was the second one that we had targeted for today. We had actually had a few goes at trying to find this cache as a friend of our lives on near the reserve. Well, today, the torment was over for us and we were finally able to turn this into a smiley face.
As with a lot of parks and reserves in the area, the ground was a bit boggy, so we donned our gumboots for this cache. Once ready, we headed on into the reserve and off towards GZ. We entered the area where GZ and read the hint in order to get some better direction to where the cache was located. Following the directions got us to a part of the area where we could start looking. Mrs. Liver Bird started looking in one area, and Mr. Kiwi in another. A bit of to-ing and fro-ing, but then it was Mr. Kiwi who spotted the cache safely tucked away. At long last we were able to say that the Terrier's Torment which had become our torment was no longer torenting us with a DNF.
After signing the log we waited for our friend to come and join us for a catch-up before we headed onto other caches.

I'm up in Auckland for one of my regular visits, and with having this week off work I am looking to break my longest streak for finds as well as push through and gain my 500th Cache whilst I'm here.
Today is day 9 of my current streak. The weather this week has been great so far, until today. Strong winds and rain meant I wasn't sure I'd get a chance to go out today, but the rain held off this arvo long enough for me to have a go at some of the local ones I hadn't tried before. I was just hoping I wouldn't have to deal with too many downed trees or it being boggy underfoot.
Having parked up on the main road, I could soon see that the ground was quite sodden. But I had my tramping boots on so off I went. A brief stroll took me straight the GZ, and with no muggles around I was able to dive into the tree cover and have a hunt around. I must admit to thinking at the time that the Hint was a bit imprecise, and open to interpretation, but I followed the instructions closely and sure enough spotted the cache almost immediately thanks to the small band of exposed white plastic. The container is in good condition, as is the logbook, so it was a quick sign and then everything was put back exactly as found.
Thank you for placing this cache for others such as me to find.

Was out with Supernanny today and although she had found the original she graciously stopped so I could make the find. Interesting area with some unusual items to be seen... it would appear that although the youth??? of the area are keen to stay safe they make unusual and unpleasant tree decorations!!! Stayed well clear of that particular tree. Also found an axe which we retrieved and an item that could make good cache camo at some stage. Cache located according to the hint. Thanks
The torment is over on our 3rd visit to this park. Followed the hint and found the cache sitting out in the open amongst the leaf litter. Signed the log and tucked the container back under some nearby roots. Daily cache sorted
Out on a windy weekend afternoon for some fresh air and a walk. No muggles here, used the hint and it led straight to the hide. Signed and replaced. TFTC
The hint was spot on. Could even smell the last traces of barocca in the newly replaced container!
We were the first ones to find this since CO replaced the cache. The log smells very much like Berocca! Easy find if you follow the instructions in the hint! Tftc
Our torment is over after several visits. I agree with Supernanny cache is approx 18 metres from gz which probably contributes to so many dnf.
Also found this today after several failed attempts. My GPS was out by 16m but with a little help from supernannny I finally got this smiley. Cache is in good shape, but GZ needs a slight update. TFTC
There are numerous dnf for this cache. We finally found cache after 4 visits and agree with supernanny who logged that cache is approx 18 metres from gz
Yay.......about 18 m from gz .
I am so happy to have found this at long last !
It's made my day !!!!!
ThanksThrowersOnTour. ....awesome camo.
( I nearly gave up when I saw kiwiscot couldn't find it.....)
I guess I am a bit like a terrier...didn't want to give up!

No good here today. Searched for over 1/2 an hour but no cache. May need to be checked.........
Thank you Uncle Sam for adopting our caches. We are leaving Auckland, and as we firmly believe cache owners should be able to easily keep a cache maintained we asked USNZ to look after our caches. Miss Molly will really miss this one as the rodents behind the fence drove her nuts every time we passed by here.
I am feeling tormented because I spent a very long time here and could not find it !
Out and about this morning for a few cache finds in the area to help with our requirements for the GIO Licence challenge on Rangitoto.
Our second mosquito infested search area of the day. Our legs obviously tasted really good. Anyway, once we expanded the search area a wee bit after reading the hint and the description, the cache was finally in hand, after spotting something that looked a bit suspicious. Thanks for the hide.

Took some searching but my son finally got it! Nice job on this one whoever put it here.
Took a bit of searching but we suddenly spotted it, not quite where we expected it to be. Great camouflage
More like my torment. Had a long look here and was determined to find it as I was pretty sure what I was looking for. Cords were well out for me and I finally stumbled across it about 30m from the grass area where the cords had pointed me. Thanks.
My torment as well as the terriers but like a terrier some times you just can't give up. So much stuff to investigate but there it was. Nice cache thanks. Pleased my finger nails are nice and long to help with extraction.
On this hot and sunny Saturday, yorkshirekiwi83 and I headed out to East Auckland to target some of the caches out there. Hunted around for a while on this one, I even gave the cache a nudge at one point, before YK83 took a closer look at it and discovered it was the cache! TFTC!

The Eastern suburbs needed to be looked at again, its been a while since I was last out here, so Vistra and I decided to make a day of it, got to site and looked around hmm this maybe a tricky one, read all the hints and previous logs and knew where to look, yup there it is.

Bugga. We scrounged around for ages looking for this, and failed. Not a good caching day today!
Found with my Mum, NewlynFam. Have now created my own account so am logging all finds I was present at and helped with.
I liked the cool cache container- but not the mozzies at GZ!

Needed a cache today for a 50-day caching streak challenge that I'm working on with some of my caching buddies. I was due to drop junior NewlynFam off, but she wanted to come and find a cache with me first, so we headed for this one as it was near to where we had to go.
Pulled up just as the drizzle started, but fortunately it wasn't too bad. Followed the phone until we got near and it started jumping around a bit, then we just started hunting, taking one spot each and searching systematically for a few minutes. Stopped after a bit to scratch my head and read some logs, when just then, my eye fell on something that I just had a feeling about.... picked it up, and yup, it was a well-camoed cache!!!
Signed log just as the mozzies started to bite (the insect repellent doesn't do much good when you leave it n the car!!!!).... mini NewlynFam fanned my bare legs to keep them away while I completed the formalities! Put it back where I had spied it and beat a hasty retreat.... and we were on our way!
Thanks ThrowersOnTour- always appreciate the effort you put into your caches!!!!
This was day #20 of 50!

I had Mr 3 with me which helped me not to look too dodgy! Took a while searching for this one as the GPS was bouncing and then suddenly I noticed something that didn't quite fit, and sure enough the cache was in hand! TFTC!
Took waaaaay longer than it should have done. Even did a PAF so we knew what we were looking for but still couldn't find it! We were just about to give up, decided to have one more look and I hear 'found it!'. YAY! Caching by iPhone light is not always easy! That's our excuse anyway! Another calendar day ticked off! TFTC
Look at all of those close parking spots. How did I manage to go to the one farthest away. Oh, well. I still managed to get to GZ and had a nice little search before I found the cache. Nice container. TFTC.
Making my way home after work this evening collecting a few more caches as I go. Time for one last find. GPSr was struggling under the tree cover but a look at the cache page helped somewhat. After a short search the camoed goods were detected and the formalities collected. Cheers for the cache placement!
Meeting fellow geocachers in the area and used the time before to collect some smiles on the way. This one was a quick and easy find. TFTC
Well here we are again. Enlisted help of CODEHILL today and lo and behold there it was! SL TFTC
Our 10th find of the day. It's been tormenting philbirdboys for a while, team work and an extra long clue soon had the cache in hand! TFTC.
Searched for quite some time but had no joy. GPS had us in a few different places. Someone came out of their house by where the cache should have been so we had to abandon our search. Will try again another day.
Following a long weekend of caching and now back in familiar territory I didn't want to be caching today as all in all was feeling rather weary, but as needs must when one sets their own personal caching challenge sometimes you just have to man up and grab a cache, today was one of those days where that was necessary.
A short walk to locate this one that stood out at GZ, there was a woman throwing the ball for a pooch but she was far more interested in both the dog and her phone than me lurking around some bushes in a park
A nice quick find and head back to the car.
Thanks for the placement and the fun

Took a while to spot the cache. Phone gps was throwing us everywhere but GZ!! Finally found after using eyes on ground. Interesting cache - no trouble opening it! Signed log. Tftc.
Found the cache but had to go home to retrieve tools to remove the cache. (Lucky I live close
Decided it was such a nice afternoon that we'd head out this way for a few caches. This was our first stop and once in the bushes, we spent a few minutes tracking down what we came here for. Another couple of minutes spent to remove the lid from its camo. Nicely done, TFTC!
We got talking on this one a bit as there was a nice decoy right next to the cache. Once we decided it couldn't possible be that we soon found the cache. It looks like it had received very recent maintenance so we were very careful with extraction so not to do any damage
This terrier tormented us. Had to have 2 bites at the cherry. Nice to get the smiley. TFTC
No real problems in locating the cache, but getting it open proved more troublesome. Had just started heading back to the car for some tools when something finally budged.

Not a good start to our day of caching! Perhaps need to get "in the zone" and come back to look for this one again
Was working at home this morning and I noticed that an email had come in on my geocaching email account (yes...I have a separate email for geocaching....I don't get out much). Saw that it was very close to my house. And as I was about to head out to see some clients, I thought I would should get this one before Keylev gets it later today or NZTravellers!
So out I go.
I arrive at GZ, and thankfully there were no muggles in the area. Started searching, kept searching, searched even harder. I almost gave up, but I texted the CO just to tell him that his cache must be laughing at me. He gave me a few hints, so I increased my search area a little bit more, and found the crafty cache. I feel a bit rotten that I'm claiming the {FTF}, but the CO did not tell me where it was, just confirmed I was in the right area.
So after spending way to much time there I thought I better get back to work (I'm so glad my Boss doesn't have a GPS tracker on the work car)
