Came across this greyed out cache on the home computer and fascinated by the history of the house, decided to come up in search of it. I'd noticed that 111PAF had temporarily disabled a number of caches (possibly all of them), probably because of lockdown earlier, and hoped to find the cache nevertheless, as we are in Level 2 now. No such luck: hunted low and lower but didn't come across it . Oh well, lovely to be brought up this way anyway and to be introduced to the history of the house, which I got a better view of further down the road. Thanks 111PAF. Hope to come back this way again when the cache is re-enabled.
Had walked past here the other day after trying for some failed caches thinking the feature at the footpath would make a noice cache place but didn't really notice the house. Loaded the cache details and found a dry micro tucked away at the spot. Dry and ok, cache popped back where found. A quiet lane in the rabbit warren of streets behind Wakari circumventing the gullies that devide the hill suburbs exploring wooded paths and ended up down at the Kindy on a great day for a walk only having to walk back up! to the residence. 5pt **TSOD** TFTC 111PAF
Our first find for 2021. Love the history and story with this cache. End find, good clues! TNLNSL THANK YOU - @kiwicaches
First one for 2021, kids loved the walk to it and the history about the house. Great location. Thank you
Pretty tricky to found. But we found it in the end. Having fun with our cousins.
Covid-19 pandemic Alert Level 4 so no one should go caching, stay home, stay in your bubble, save lives.
A secluded little cul-de-sac that certainly offers a lot of privacy. Except a nearby dog just wouldn't stop barking. Cache quickly located, thank you.
Seeing that there was a fresh new log sheet I went back to change this one to a smiley. I still find this neighbourhood intimidating, and there are plenty of people who can see what you are up to even during working hours, but found it this time. Phew. Thanks PAF
TFTC! Easy find, out caching with cara2403 and animalgirlnz.
Interesting history of Ferntree Lodge, enjoyed walk through Ferntree reserve too. Thanks for luring us here.

Found by: Islay, Peter, and Belinda. A great spot to hide a Geocache and we had fun finding it!
#6019. I am down in Dunedin for the weekend. Had a work meeting on Thursday and Friday and decided to stay on to do some geocaching. So have hired a rental car. Today I am mostly going to walk the tracks up around Flagstaff Peak. But picking up several caches on the way. This was one of them. Wasn't sure about parking near GZ so parked down below and walked up the narrower street. Soon got to GZ and the hint had me looking in the right spot immediately. Quick find. Kept an eye out for muggles but none were seen. Signed and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here 111PAF.
Another dunnas road trip caching up with kjr. On a mission along the pineapple track.time to head back into town grabbing a few along the way nice quick find tftc. Thats an odd location for a cache neighborhood watch and all
I’d never heard of this place so thanks for bringing me here! I want to go home and learn more about it (like who owns it now!)
I have often heard of this house so it was great today to be able to see it.
Thanks

A great afternoon caching in the Dunedin area, about 32 caches for the day a few good up and down walks and a bit of bush bashing and a lot of fun had. Many Thanks Bitsprayer.
Nice quick find with DocnDi again and a slight view only of the lovely old house. Amazing. TFTC
A bit of a random find after abandoning attempts at a couple of wherigos, partly collecting what was needed for a multi and coming across a huge bog on my way to another cache. Luckily the neighbourhood watch didn't seem to be doing their job today allowing me to make the quick find and a quick getaway. Thanks for the very interesting cache description - I may need to return to better appreciate it after reading that. TFTC # 11,700
Quick detour on the way home from work. Glad cache was located fairly quickly as a very barky dog at the house nearby. TFTC
O for goodness sake! This was found recently too. Just thought that after about 10 mins an otherwise perfectly respectable member of society grovelling after a micro that she couldn't find, in a flash neighbourhood, might arise too much suspicion. So I left.
Spontaneous geocache trip on the way home. Found quickly with dexterslabs TFTC!
Quick find while geowife had yet another stare at her favourite house -- the big yellow one just across the street.

Bit of stealth needed at 8pm for this one as the lower property were having a dinner party and I didn't want to attract their attention from my torchlight. Seems like I timed it well between people arriving and leaving. Most of the searching was done by touch in the end and was rewarded with what is the signature type of cache from this CO. Put back where found, all in good condition. Now off to watch GoT as winter is here
Enjoying holidaying in the area with tmann421.
A nice quick find for us here today. TFTC

Mr Rex made it harder for himself attempting to find this one just on dusk...but after a touch of writhing, the cache was in hand and the views of the ol' homstead looked spectacular...TFTC
A nice evening for a few caches. Kia ora for the cache. Found with Spydude13 and Lollipopcat.
Nice easy cache to start my wee Dn caching trip. Got a glimpse of the house throught the house and saw there were heaps of chimneys. TFTC and bringing up to a place I never knew of before,
Took the opportunity while visiting a friend to make the find here. Noticed that the previous finder has not signed the log ??? Found with Aoraki Sheep
TFTC had a nice run around gathering geocaches. I hadn't been up this way since looking at houses 16 years ago
Got it and thank for for the shelter as the rain set in. Thanks for taking up another hidden road. TFTC
