2 June 2021 18:19. No 9739. Headed up here after grabbing a stage at the AL nearby. Made it up the steps without a pause, just! Stood puffing and panting at the top whilst I waited for the phone to settle. Of course I had to check out the wrong option first, but then the penny dropped, and I was able to add my name to the end of the first page, before wandering off again in search of a Curry... TFTC
Quick n easy find - signed log and put back - A nice afternoon on the hunt around Dunedin - Thank you - Regards Michael and Michelle (The Flying Brick, NZ) ️
ps: A great climb up the 219 stairs but a great view

The Ivy is there, the bush has been cut down around this area but the cache remains obviously.
Easy found. I needed movement after rainy day. Hidden under one leave of ivy, not more .
Hopefully walk up the steps helped work off lunch from filadelfios. Great spot, thanks for this unfortunately no pen so quick photo instead
Covid-19 pandemic Alert Level 4 so no one should go caching, stay home, stay in your bubble, save lives.
Wow, that took me a while, guilty of needing a hint. Nice challenge, I'll have to do better next time!
A close shave... climbed all 219 steps and found the cache with little effort, but as I sat on the top step to sign the log, the container decided to roll... and roll... and roll!!! Down about 30 steps before I could catch it! Very grateful that it didn’t escape any further haha
Had to find this cache as it is the closest to a family member's flat. Quick find after puffing up the hill. Tftc.
Goodness me. It must have been five times at least that I tried to locate this cache, almost up to the point where I seriously considered that this one might have gone walkabouts. However, other people kept on finding it! Grrrr.
Then one day, I had a look at the situation from a different angle, which prooved to be the key to approach this one - at least, for me it was. Today, I also brought a pen with me, granting me the ability to scratch my paw in the log, and finally a lovely yellow face can be claimed on the cache that nearly threatened to become my Waterloo. Thank you for the cache.

Had to outwait a resident waiting on a pickup directly opposite so feigned great interest in my phone. Thanks for the hide. #3053
To finish off a nice evening cache, I drove down the hill towards this one. There was actually an ok parking spot up the hill a little, but i thought I'd stick to the spirit and climb the steps.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well I did the steps! And the cache was soon in hand. tftc!

Finally made it down to Dunedin last night - 1200 km in 36 hours on 1.5 hours sleep! This cache is conveniently at the top, and I do mean top, of my daughter's street so I took the easy way up the slope. I'll walk back down the steps though. All in good nick, apart from yours truly. TFTC.
Actually, the CO is wrong, there may be a limited amount of parking if you approach from above, but I would not bank on it. There are, however, many places to park a bicycle! Waited for a runner (and also an e-bike owner) to pass and then made a grab for the container. Logbook was soon signed, so, with 7 caches done I decided it was time for lunch, so headed home.

Was feeling a tad cold after R had her game of hockey so spotted this cache a couple of km away and decided running up 219 steps would warm me up for sure. I was 100% correct all be it she was already at the top before I was even halfway up!!! After waiting for a muggle to disappear around the corner it was a nice quick find and back down counting the stairs as we went. Filling in the dot days with these great pathway caches but haven't got many more to choose from (hint hint) TFTC 111PAF
Sadly my pen ran out at this stage. Keep reminding myself to have two pens with me but usually forget. Took photo of log and pen as evidence. Tf
First one of eight in the Dunedin/Otago Peninsula area today. Out for an early morning walk from the motel we were staying in overnight. Good exercise heading up all those steps. Found the cache reasonably quickly, thanks to the hint. #1473. TFTC.
Ha! I DIDN'T walk the steps up!
Just to defy YOU, I walked up the ROAD instead, and only walked the steps DOWN. BLEAUGH!
Just kidding =^,^=
The travelling fox is playful =^,~=

Well, thanks for the fitness session I actually think I managed to run about 3/4 of the way!
Anyhow, soon had cache in hand - thanks

Surprisingly not a bad climb, in spite of the thoughts which raced through Mr Rex's head at the bottom...after a bout of huffing and puffing, the find was made and time forvthecreturn journey...TFTC...
Yep. That's a lot of steps. My partner in crime thought it would be funny to race up the steps. Didn't have a breath to spare for laughing at the top though.
Ran up stairs only to find muggle at top house putting away groceries. Had to fake being lost and phone addicted for a bit!
Found on an evening walk in the valley, puffed our way up from the bottom of the steps. TFTC
I huffed and puffed up this area that I had never been in, lots of walkways!
Thanks

Initially looked in the wrong place, but Aoraki wasn't fooled and pointed me to the right hint object. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Quickly found after I stopped looking in the wrong place. Easiest parking is on the north side of the road uphill from GZ. TFTC
Theres a small patch of road on the left, coming down the hill where you can park, just 20-30 metres below cache. Good if it's raining - like today! Sneaky hide
A quick find with JuJu54, once we looked in the right place, where we think we have found another cache some years ago, but those steps preclude describing it as easy. TFTC
Drove up and found a park along with a great view of the first classroom of my teaching career at DNI. TFTC
Use to go to school across the road looking at these steps 20 or so years ago but never been up them before. TFTC
Thanks for telling me about the cracked container igotit. I changed it for a new one today.
Time to go for a walk! We approached from the bottom, but refrained from counting the steps as that task has been completed previously Nice quick find, TFTC!!!

A nice little walk up the hill for the find before descending and having a feed at the nearby pizza place. Inner container has a couple of lengthwise cracks.
Never been to this part of NEV, thanks for taking us there. Quite a few student-muggles out and about this afternoon going up and down the steps, despite the icy wind and rain. Quick find once everyone was gone. TFTC
No muggles about when I arrived but they keep turning up. Time to replace it. Thanks.
Another lunchtime trot down to the North end but this time some hill work!
Jogged up the steps then had a breather before searching .
Made a quick find then jogged back down for another hill on the other side of North Road.
