Its anniversary time and this year its GMelbs turn to choose the secret destination which is Port Albert (in the hope there may be an Aurora) Time to head home and the weather is crying too! This cache wasnt long after we had checked out so JMelb stayed in the car with GeopupV and G headed off in a break in the weather and soon found the cache. He arrived back at the car just as the rain started again! TFTC 2greywombats - GJMMelb
We that would have been easier to get to going from the track and. No of course we went from the road. Log book a bit damp but was signable.TFTC
On a quick trip for Sunday afternoon fish & chips at reopened shop in Port Albert. Convinced muggle Hubby to indulge me with some geocaching on the way home. Love all the grass trees with the kangaroo tails as my grandfather called them. log perfect condition, container perfect condition. Tftc 2greywombats
Found this cache on our East Coast Trip Day 2 in company of Bazzars. A cache on a cold wet windy day on route from Foster to Sale. Thanks from D B-A
Looked this morning but has no luck, and would have been late for a xourse I was doing in Yarram, so I was pleased to quickly find it on my way back home this afternoon. Made some swaps.
Nice easy find here and grabbing a few caches along this stretch of highway.
The cache, container and log are in excellent condition.
I visited 5 TB.

We thought this was going to be a long and difficult search as we wandered up to GZ, but found quickly.
Out and about today with Rebel Acts on a loop that took us out through South Gippsland and down to the coast before returning home via Yarram.
We traveled through some undulating farmland with some great views before hitting the coast with some walks along the beach.
Some roads we had never traveled before and others not for quite some time.
There were a variety of hides and cache sizes, it being a tough and long day with a number of DNFs before getting home well after tea time.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache 2greywombats.

Out and about with Ski Pair traveling the roads less traveled on another tour of South Gippsland, We saw some great locations from the hills to the beach, we had a great day out.

Found it! We had a great weekend in Port Albert and surrounds but now it was time to head home. A few caches along the way helped continue the adventure. We had driven past this spot a couple of times in the last few days so I had a fair idea where the cache might be. A quick find. I love these grass trees. Hopefully they stay healthy and don’t get attacked by cinnamon fungus! Please be careful and don’t stomp around the bush. The fungus can travel on shoes from place to place! TFTC SL
had difficulty retrieving this one, everything is wet and yuk, nice location for a pit stop
Tftc 2greywombats. What a magical little nook, the next nearest likely to be further south at The Prom. Quick find on the way back to Moe from lunch at Yarram.
On the way home from a few days in Gippsland. Found this one in between showers. Thanks for the cache 2greywombats.
GPS was bouncing around, so made it harder than it as to be. After wondering into the grass trees, eventually came back out and made the find. Tftc
We're staying in nearby Yarram and today I decided to come out for a drive to see some scenery. And grab some caches too, of course

On our way home from Eden with BettyBoo3747.
Going from Bruthen to Fish Creek. Collecting a few caches along the way.
We could see it, but it was a bit of a reach to retrieve.
Thanks, Robmc.

#16993. Left Bruthen this morning and we are heading for Fish Creek. Just stopping for a few caches along the way.
Thankfully the long reach of Rob was able to get this cache from its position. I could see it but couldn't get it out. Names added and now just one more for the day.
Thanks 2greywombats

A very quick find in good condition. I'm sure a nice photo could be made using the grass trees. Tftc
FlyingPigSquadron has landed! for a lovely hide in beautiful bushland, but don't disturb the ants, they suddenly appear from everywhere along GZ!. TFTC&H 2greywombats
Stopped off for a quick break whilst driving home from work this is indeed surrounded by ancients and I doubt people realise how slow growing these plants are, and how long they take to reach 1 m high. Thanks for the cache. Thanks especially for hiding an old-fashioned cache with plenty of swaps for the children. I will certainly be bringing my kids by to do this one next time we come past this way. Thanks for the cache . Took nothing left nothing. Geocaching The Way It Used To Be: A nice spot, with interest, and fun for kids as well. Very Well done.
Catching up with some very late logs
We had set aside a few days to explore Gippsland with alansee endeavoring to aid him reaching 30,000 finds before the Queanbeyan mega event at Easter.
We visited rail trails, parks, mountains seeing beautiful scenery along the way as well as enjoying some lovely walks as well as some easy drive by's. The weather was mostly kind to us enabling us to search for the caches in comfort.
We do enjoy these ancient grass trees we even have one at home in our garden but sometimes caches can be hard to locate in stands of these but fortunately this time the cache was located and alansee did the retrieving honors. Our names were added to the log and all as returned as found.

Tried to find on a hot day, very nice pretty native flora, got bitten by a tiger snake, rushed to hospital by ambulance, and was writing my will, all in my minds imagination, and all before I got out of the car. Too warm today. Back another day. Lovely looking plants. TFTC.
Ingenuity needed to retrieve this cache from its hide. Being vertically challenged didn't help. Thanks CO for placing these 4 caches that we have found today. All were in good order & worth the visit.
What a great reason for placing a cache here. We used to work on Aborigine Communities and the company we worked for did not allow us to sell black grapes and white grapes they were dark grapes and light grapes, a little silly we felt. We choose this place for our lunch spot it is so lovely. SL TFTC

Another early morning, we were on the road and keen to explore the towns along the South Gippsland Highway. By now it was mid morning and we were happy to stop along the road, picking up some cool caches along the way. Thanks for the cache 2greywombats.

Day 12 of our caravan trip going South from Queensland. Explored Phillip Island and then in Wilsons Prom. First day spoiled us with sunshine, second day was stormy and partly too wet for walks.
Now heading home.
But before meeting our friends from Queensland in Port Albert,
travelling towards Melbourne.
I love grass trees. And I grabbed a TB.

Great cache full of trinkets to swap. Be mindful of the ants as they were everywhere the flies weren't
Flies, many files, but every thing else is good.
On the way to Wonthaggi events with D@geo
Thank you for the hide 2greywombats

I love grass trees but don’t like have to walk among them as the are often prickly. Luckily I found a trail in that meant I didn’t have to get many scratches. I used my walking pole to release the cache from its hiding spot. TFTC different way to use walking pole
This cache was found in the proper place but was a little difficult to extract for the shorter member of the team. However, perseverance paid off and it was successfully retrieved. All writing duties were done and then the container and contents were put back as found. Thanks, 2greywombats, for another cahe to be found along this road.
A quick find today with hubby and the geokids as we continue our Gippsland holiday adventure. So many stunning places to visit! This was a quick find picked up on our way from Paynesville to Toora. Many thanks for the cache.
Found with the geowife and Davidman after visiting friends in south Gippsland for the weekend.
We stopped to do this one, but there was a muggle fixing a motorbike right near GZ - maybe next time

Found on a one month road trip around Australia. Sorry for the generic log. TNLNSL TFTC
I love grass trees and I didn't actually realise that we had them down in this area! I would have driven by without noticing them if it wasn't for stopping for a cache. The cache container lid is damaged and will allow water in so I have placed it upside down. Take care when removing it as the swaps may fall out - CO has been notified. Thanks for the find
Heading home after a weeks holiday in the High Country and what may be our last day after leaving Dargo earlier. We stopped and collected some caches along the road as we head through the area.
A nice easy find here, so thanks 2greywombats for the placement.

Found by Mary & David at 1347. Love them too. Hate the thought of a name change, just like there has been talk of changing the name of the McMillan Electorate. We don't aggree with such PC! Our thanks to 2greywombats.
