Many thanks to all the teams that attended the meet n greet event.
The weather was ideal as expected and the Telegraph Station is always a nice relaxing location to socialize and grab a few nearby caches.
Nice to meet some newer teams and all the teams who ventured on the 6 day tour.
Until the next meet n greet ,
Many thanks ,
Greg

It was nice to meet everyone. Not a bad 99th cache! Hope the road trip is (or at this point was) a success.
Gave a trackable (TB5TQQH) I found earlier to someone who is in a better position to help it accomplish its goal.

I'm glad we had this event as otherwise I mightn't have made it up to the Telegraph Station. Wonder place. Thanks Greg.
We had gotten to Alice Springs (Last of course). A nice trip to the pool before heading off to the telegraph station for the Meet n Greet. We saw a new type of bird which we were unaccustomed to. It was a Port Lincoln Ring neck. The next day we set off on the Adventure.
Attended and met several wonderful cachers. Was great to put some faces to names. Thank you for organising this event. I hope everyone enjoys their trip this week.

Caught up with some new cachers I hadn't met previously and with the rest of the gang heading out on the Red Centre Adventure tomorrow. Thanks for organising this meet and greet.
Many thanks to all who attended including one team from the USA .
Always a top spot for a social gathering and the birdlife was all around today.
Final briefings on the tour were given and a nice group photo taken just prior to sunset .
Good to catch up with the regulars and nice to meet some newer teams.

4801Attended by baby&Mrs gopher at 1720. Got to say g'day to quite few cachers from both near and far. Good to catch up with some of the local cachers again. Tnx Oz Mega Committee.
Walked up the Riverside trail to the meet n greet. Great to meet so many new cachers and once again catch up with friends from home. Cant wait for the outback adventure to begin.
Tftc,
What a great chance to catch up with local cachers again.
Last time I was in town, I completed all available caches within 5Km from the Van Park. This time we are leaving with 8 unfound in the same area. There are hundreds to come back for.
Visited trackables crossing the country.
Great to hear about the plans for the 2017 event.

We were there at about 5:16 PM and left at about 6.45pm. We chatted with the few locals that attended and then it was to business with Greg running through the itinerary for the tour and then giving us some good background information on the forthcoming Alice Springs mega event in 2017. From what we have heard it is going to be an extraordinary experience that is being well backed by the NT government. Gary (the ranger man) and Amanda also contributed with what we are going to expect on this tour, so we are all now keen to get on with it starting at 9.00am tomorrow with a formal send off by the mayor of AS.
Thanks Oz Mega Committee.
Thanks Oz Mega Committee.
Attended meet and greet, before taking off on our adventure tomorrow, looking forward to getting to know the group. Thanks to Farmer5 for all the hard work.
I arrived around five with Ian joining me slightly later after spending an hour or so picking up a last couple of caches around Alice before we start our trip back to WA tomorrow.
Great to finally met some of the NT geocachers whose caches we have found over our several visits to the Red centre and Alice Springs. Of course we also caught up with many others who have travelled to the area from out of state to attend the event and travel on the Red Centre Tour starting on Monday morning. We think they will all have a fantastic time visiting the many sights the Red Centre has on offer and look forward to catching up with them in the evenings as we will be camped at several of the camps that they are using.
Thanks for the event.

What a bummer, I'm an American from California and will be passing through just a couple of days to early to attend this fine event.
If all goes to plan we will meet up with Pprass in Leonora on Sept. 9 and travel the Great Central Road together. We will then head up to Alice Springs for the event before returning back home to Geraldton via the GCR on around September 26th.
Looking forward to catching up with our geo-friends and meeting some of the NT catchers.

Planning to come along. Round about way via WA and the great central road. See everyone there.
Yep - we will be there and so will our daughter, her husband and 3 kids.
Looking forward to seeing everyone and hope that we will not run out of red wine by the time we get there after travelling across the Great Central Rd (hopefully with I&S ) Maybe F5 and his SE Mafia cohorts can arrange for a shipment to be "diverted" for us

Planning to be there with the whole family. I've been wanting to see Uluru for ages and this sounds like a good excuse.
Working on the logistics of attending at present. The attributes show dog friendly but when we visited the Telegraph station in May it was a no dog area. Please can you confirm one way or another.
Thanks for arranging the event and the following trip. There are a lot more caches in Alice and along the planned route since I was last in the area.
What a great chance to share a trip with people who understand and appreciate what the Australian Outback is about.
Some time ago I recognised the need to identify those who have introduced Geocaching to the Outback. These people are Imortals and to acknowledge them I created a cache to identify them and provide rewards for those who have explored the Outback by finding the caches located there.

Cant wait. I'll be flying in early afternoon and will come along to the event. I'll also be tagging along on the road trip. Should be awesome.
Our team will be there with either 6 or 7 of our family of 9. Looking forward to the BBQ spot and history of the nearby Telegraph Station which the kids have not seen.
Will probably BBQ and enjoy catching up with all the locals and extras expected to attend this special night ,arriving from interstate.
Will make sure that any well known retirees or mid North Coast revellers dont hit too much red wine at a place of such historical significance . See you all there .
