Took a seat at this quiet spot and after a bit was signing the log . Thanks Bonny Black . By the way, my daughter loved the description of this cache .
Out doing a bit of fly fishing on the Yarra and thought we would grab a cache our two, nice hide and great spot.
Just me and the pooch (now the kids are back at school)... is quite spooky out here(or is it l just don't like being out in areas like this on my own.. l get jumpy), just me and heaps of birds.. but so many beautiful sounds from bird in this park.

With the Yarra Expedition part 10 now finished, everyone had gone there separate ways but I hung around a bit longer and went to find a few more solo.
I had missed this little series on the previous Yarra Expedition so now was a good time to have a look for these.
In between the #1 and this one the track was a bit flooded and the only way to the otherside was to walk through it, which I did, it was a little deeper than I first thought but my feet stayed fairly dry.
On the the picnic ground, I wonder how many people actually use the tables here for a picnic, anyway I headed over to one of them and was able to make a quick find.
**Thanks to BonnyBlack for placing this cache.**

One might ask the obvioius question - what are these doing out here? But the obvious answer is to hide things on of course!
This really is a great little circuit here. a group of us did it - all via different directions! Great spot to check out, thanks for bringing us here.
Today a big convoy took part in the Yarra Expedition #9, heading out to explore the upper reaches of the Yarra River. Starting with an event at the chocolate shop we made our way east from Yarra Glen generally following the course of the river.
We stopped at the river for a little walk to these 3 in the YB series.
Sure is an unloved picnic spot at this GZ. Unlike many other picnic areas we had no muggles to worry about at this one.
Thanks BonnyBlack.

A quick find by Geoff and I. Thanks for the cache in this beautiful quiet clearing.

After a great Yarra Expedition event and large convoy of cars headed off on the way to a late lunch in Yarra Junction we had a plan of attack so some of these were signed as Team Hinky so the log books didn't fill up.
Continued our walk around the reserve and I was onto this one before everyone else arrived because they headed over to check out the river flow.
Thanks BonnyBlack for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

YE Part 9 was here and sedgwickDave volunteered to do the driving. Weather was not promising, but it turned out to be a wonderful day.
Time for a bit of a walk before lunch time, this time with sedgwickDave, n0w0rries and lukie1987. An enjoyable loop and appropriately taking in part of the Yarra river. This one was quite simply located. spot on coords.
Many thanks to BonnyBlack for the cache. TNLN.

In a large group of fellow cachers on the 9th Yarra Expedition, we followed the river around by car grabbing the closest trads along the way and signing under the group name of TeamHinky. With the weather forecast to be the coldest/wettest weekend in 2 years we were very lucky to have sunshine follow us without any sign of rain.
Finally we were in reach of the river as we stopped for these 3 clever caches in the "Yarra Bridge" series. Enjoying our stroll around the reserve we took delight in finding each placement with a great group of cachers. No picnic for us today but we still took pleasure in scouting out the area.
Thanks BonnyBlack for the mini series.

Found whilst on the Yarra Expedition following the river to its source.
These 3 were possibly my favourites for the day. A lovely stroll around here.
Cheers BonnyBlack

We stopped off here for a quick picnic and almost before it began, it was all over.

A lovely reserve and a nice walk as a group as part of Yarra River Expedition today. Thanks BonnyBlack for bringing us to this pretty spot.
Found by Mary & David at 1245. More wrong turns on the way from the last cache meant we were even further behind The Yarra Expedition crew when we arrived. Kez was in the car park, and said the others were well ahead. Jogged most of the way here, but failed to catch up. Found the cache after a short search, then headed back towards the car park to find the cache near there. Our thanks to BonnyBlack.

This cache was found today as part of the Yarra Expedition Part 9.
Today we covered a stretch not navigable by kayak, or capable of being ridden along by bike.
We needed to cruise along the general vicinity of the river by car, regularly caressing its banks, in our journey up river.
Along the way we found a number of caches, this being one of them.
After the previous one, we circled around and down along the track to find this one. By now we were stone motherless last, and my car was the only one of our group of about twelve still there when we got back to the car park.

Lovely area.
Great little series.
Thanks for the adventure.

Found. What a gorgeous spot, late afternoon with the sun sparkling through the trees. Thanks for bringing us here.
The second of two finds made this afternoon after dropping the geopartner and kids off in Nangana and going off for a quick drive/cache expedition.
After utterly failing to find YB#1 after an extended period and with available time running out, I opted to move on to here and try my luck anew.
My fortune was definitely better here, with the picnic spot in question exactly as the CO described - aside from cachers I doubt anyone has sat here for a very long time. Quickly located the cache, and after doing some de-spidering of both the hide spot and the container itself I signed the log and then made my way back to the car to go pick up the family.
Thanks for the cache, BonnyBlack, and for showing me such a lovely, hidden area - really enjoyed the occasional views of the river, etc. I'd hoped to get right around the circuit today to do all three, but ran out of time - hopefully I'll get back sometime to try again.

Enjoyed doing this walk. On our way to the mega event via the mornington peninsula
This area caught my eye as I was perusing the map looking for somewhere new to take geomutt so off we went for a wander, what a great area - had a lovely time running and snuffling around - geomutt not me that is!! No bears today (not counting geomutt) but definitely on the cards for a picnic on a warm day
This is a very lonely picnic table, as evidenced by the little mushrooms growing on top (see pic). I searched around, under, and starting to lose a bit of patience resorted to the hint to confirm my suspicion. I'm too tall for these games sometimes Thanks BonnyBlack for making *some* good use of the facility
Great to do a cache away from playgrounds , shops, city buildings..... Etc... Needed some steps after work today so what a place to do them TFTC Fav. From me because of the location bird song to listen to and no muggles!!! My TBs paid a visit.
We continued our walk along the river this afternoon making the most of a sunny Sunday caching run with Omegaman1971 and we soon found this hide and used the table for a short break and surface to sign the log, TFTC BonnyBlack for the cache.

Continuing our walk on this perfect caching weather day we made the unexpected find of the picnic table at Gz. After a very short search of the Gz area Happy Pants found the hide.
So many spiders! !!!
Cheers for the cache

We did go down to the woods today. Loved this circuit walk. Once we came to the clearing spotted the picnic table. There's 'ghost towns', does this qualify as a 'ghost picnic ground'? Soon had the cache in hand avoiding all the spider webs. Thanks!
Wahoo!! Child free. Thanks Mark&Kelly. Decided to do a few caches since it was light and headed off to do this series. Had trouble no. 1 so decided to attack b it in the way back. It was a bit daughting to be under these big gums in the wind that came with the change. Hubby spotted this one. Nice area just a bit run down. TFTC.
Nice little shot for a swim on a hot summers day. Handy having a bench near by.

Last weekend in Melbourne before I head back to QLD for Christmas, thought I may as well grab a few caches instead of wasting the entire day in bed!!
After the first cache in this little series i had a little trouble getting to this one, as the track was so overgrown. Nevertheless i managed to get to the gz and sign the log for this one. Took a few photos as well while I was here.

Found with pprass who was in town, it was good to be back in my old stomping ground doing a few caches, these country caches are far more enjoyable that city caches, we had a great day touring the area. Thanks BonnyBlack for the cache.
Found at 12:12 PM GAFF5 in the company of Rebel Acts.
We followed a faint track which completely petered out and then we just went in a straight line trying to pick up another track.
Odd that the picnic tables have just been abandoned.
Thanks BonnyBlack.

Forgetting about blackberries that made tripwires across the path and a fly that thought my stomach would make a good home, I was more than happy to stand and watch the echidna waddle across the path in front of me. After all that, thanks for the quick, easy find!!!
Took the path tag left by clever monkey ! Thanks to them !! Quick find after over thinking it !! Pity this area isn't as looked after as it could be so pretty and a great spot ! Tftc
#523 - What a lovely little spot!Very picturesque as the sun goes down. Tftc
Nice quick find
What a waste, left to deteriorate
Trees growing out of the picnic bench.
Area needs some TLC
Would have been a great area. Looks like some good fishing.

I imagine it would have been a lovely place for a picnic before the area was left to deteriorate. It took me a minute to spot this one, as there were too many eight legged critters for my liking, so I needed to know what I was reaching for before I poked around with my hand. I intended to do this one yesterday but got called away, so I am back today to finish the job. Thanks for bringing me here and thanks for the cache.
Thanks Donnyblack for the little adventure out this afternoon. Managed to get the geokids off the iPads and take the geohound out. Put 3 smiley faces on the map. Tftc
Found it! Second find of this series as we wander around this little river trail. Geokid 2 spotted the resting place hidden under the scrub and geokid 1 soon found the cache. No bears eating cake today so we were able to log our find in peace. Thanks BB for the cache.
We found this cache today at 3:15pm on a Sunny Saturday drive back home from Candlebark Farm. We were being pointed a bit closer back to the track but the name of the cache and the hint pushed us to the correct spot. The river is flowing quite fast today. Our 135th 3TF. Thanks from D, HA and A B-A.
Geokids and geo stepmum found this 3 days ago but geo stepmum is still on L plates
After the Mulberry Bush off I went thinking oh ok so the cars in the carpark don't belong to Geocachers great maybe another FTF will be mine. get to GZ find what I'm looking for and bingo another empty log quickly signed and replaced and off for the third in the series.
