TFTC dandent your cache ... all at sea that we found today. Out on the bikes with Team JLBL, Snakepitters, DiMorgan and Liz and Bruce. Did a circuit on the Bluewater bike trail. Successful morning riding and walking when required. We did end up with a few DNFs but these had not been found for 12 months or more.Find Count: 20405

An unexpected drive into Mackay again today as Subi was playing up and Rainforest Cookie managed to fit us into her company workshop. Swapped Subi keys for Toyota keys, and decided we had better do some caches around town - and there are plenty of them. So I just followed a route of whatever was closest to where we were...

Found in great hiding spot, but didn't get the hint? Nice little puzzle.

Thanks dandent

A some what last moment trip to town so got solving on a few of the puzzles and art work. No boat and not enough time so the T5’s will have to wait and would prefer a crew given the potential for big green lizards. A great couple of days in between other activities. Wasn’t sure how I would go with some of the T4.5’s and suspect some will be easier by boat but with some careful timing and keeping an eye out picked off most of them. A few searches and bites of various sorts but no sightings of those able to give really big bites

We did not understand the hint but we still managed to find.
Thanks for the puzzle cache.

It’s about time I began to head home after the Townsville mega, so here I am in Mackay. The weather was certainly not put on for me though! Thanks for the puzzles, the caches, the different to the usual finds dandent. A quick puzzle, but not so quick find today!

12-Apr-22
Unlike the previous searcher, there were no magpies in sight today.
A nice puzzle, which fell out easily. Today at GZ it was just a short walk from the car and we soon had the log signed here.
Thanks dandent

Unfortunately I have spotted two angry Magpies near where I need to be. That’s a no from me. Maybe when we aren’t in nesting season.

We are currently travelling along Queensland‘s coast on a short vacation. Of course some target caches were also on the list of must do’s along the way and this was one of them. Thank you very much for placing this geocache.
Accessing the area was easy and the cache quickly found. Thanks

A quick find in a logical spot.

Our second full day out and about in Mackay with Temingi. Yesterday we broke 13,000 finds and in the next few days Temingi is hoping to crack 14,000. Not too sure why we’re helping him when our eventual goal is to reach and then pass him! Still, it’s always good to go out caching with like minded mates. If nothing else, the stories are always good to share.
We want to say thanks to all the local cache owners for placing these caches for us to find. Without you this wonderful pastime wouldn’t exist. We certainly appreciate your efforts in developing, placing and maintaining all the caches. We have lots of fun and plenty of exercise thanks to you.

Found as I meander my way from Adelaide to Cairns.

With no real travel plan and three weeks to get there before I meet up with friends, there has been plenty of opportunity for sightseeing and finding a few selected caches along the way.

The puzzle was one of many solved prior to leaving home in preparation for my trip. Although my itinerary when I travel is generally very fluid, I do like to have a menu of pre-solved puzzles that I can target along the way.

I had no idea what the hint meant, but TCWSFAASS.

Thanks dandent for the puzzle and the cache.

With overseas travel currently out of the question and state border closures still a lurking as possibilities, my family and some close friends decided that travelling from Brisbane to North Queensland was our best option for a Christmas/New Year escape.

Following a few nights each in Clifton Beach and Port Douglas we were now on the southwards run towards home with a stop planned at Cape Hillsborough for a couple of nights.

Unfortunately the weather here was not very accommodating with heavy rain falling most of time since arriving. I decided to head off to Mackay for a day of caching, where the weather was forecast to be a little less wet.

There were a few muggles around GZ today but I managed to find and sign the logbook without attracting any undue attention. TFTC

Inevitably on a long trip when many geocaches are being found, some get missed. Unfortunately, at the time, this was one of them. So, although out of chronological order, I am logging them today for simplicity. So my apologies for the generic log and the out of date sequence.

Our trip commenced on Friday November 28th and concluded on Tuesday December 22nd. During that time, we visited caches in Maryborough, Childers, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Sarina, Mackay, Bowen, Townsville and Cairns, with other places in between like Proserpine, Home Hill, Ayr, Ingham to name just a few, with many wonderful single stop caches along the way.

Our party consisted of myself, hatzofff, grannysmith1947, and on occasion, youngoldfella.

Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC, dandent.

12-Sep-19
Kind of sums up my day to be honest.
Worked out the co-ords but had zero luck at GZ. There were a lot of muggles going past but I did have a good look around. Obviously didn't have my caching eyes on. Will try again another day.

still OK

Travelling from A (our home in the south west of WA) to B grabbing a cache here and there .
We’ve unexpectedly had to stay way longer in Mackay than we planned so I’m out finding at least one cache a day to keep my holiday streak going, thankfully there is plenty around to be found

Had this one solved months ago at home in anticipation of our visit. A quick solve and find

F(H)ound it! #2868 @ 11:10 AM

We are visiting Mackay from Queanbeyan with the two geohounds for a few restful days. The Reluctant-Geospouse, Muggle-Sister-Out-Law and two geohounds joined me for a few caches around Mackay.
No problem with the puzzle. A bit more of a struggle at GZ. After spending too much time searching the wrong area and the Ridgeo-pup having a run in with some ants (she doesn't like ants) we had a rethink. I thought about where I would hide it and sure 'nuff, there it was! Yay!

Thanks for the cache dandent

Mackay Day2
Today we decided to cache closer to the city. We usually find caching in unfamiliar towns quiet frustrating. Some of the roads on the GPS don't exist or are one way which doesn't help.
We found a good variety of caches in some amazing locations.
A DNF last time we were here, cache quickly spotted as a shower of rain past, had to make a run for the car.
Thanks for placing this cache dandent

After a lot head scratching at GZ I was delighted to finally locate the hide in the last place I looked.
Thanks

We have attempted this one a couple times before (didnt log as we thought had co-ords wrong) and is nice to knockoff a DNF.

Ahoy !! Smile
A great little puzzle cache which I could solve !!
And rather quickly Razz

Today I took the bike ride out along the shorline,
to see if I could see any ships Razz
Well I counted at least 30 large ships at anchor out there today [:o]
There may have been a couple hidden behind other ships I couldn't see Smile

Back on shore,
the cache was a nice easy find [^]
And it felt all the more satisfying on a week of so many DNF's Big Grin

Not where my gps was pointing so checked obvious locations close by and it finally washed up tftc

04-Nov-15
replace this one in an object we found on site but its not the cache container, we have no idea what that was. think it might need a visit from you. It should be ok where it is if you can't get to it quickly so long as we don't get heavy rain.

04-Nov-15
Out to fill a hole in Rainforest Cookies caching calendar and I guess mine if I were premiumRazz we stopped here to se the sea. I found the cache floundering in a sea of leaves without a safety device. Surprised. Mum found it a suitable vessel so it might be able to reach safety soon.

Log signed, we sailed away into the traffic

I was all at sea for a while but that quickly changed, as it can when your at sea.

Puzzle was slightly frustrating, soon in control thought. This was one of the ones I had don't while sitting on the banks of the not so Mighty Burdekin River near the Macrossan Bridge.

As we headed in to GZ I was a little worries as there was a grounds care person working nearby. Not that close actually in the end.

Ratdog and big geodog raced ahead to her supposed GZ, NOnono "Come on" she said to me a little geodog. [?][?] not sure what she was on about we were standing at 2m, but to make her Smile we joined her. so where is GZ Big Grin back there!

I started my search and then she said. Its right there!!!!!!! SurprisedSurprised just hanging out on the leaves minus its outer shell. signed log and rehid as best as possible.

TFTC Dan needed one for our calendar today, need a few for this month actually.

Slowly working through all the new dandent mystery caches. I was suffering a serious case of cache blindness while searching for this one. Took much longer to locate than it really should have. But persistence paid off in the end. Razz

Log signed. Took and left nothing. The cache container and log were found to be in good condition.

Finding this cache has now given me a total find count of 1427 .

Thanks for the [?] cache hide dandent. Smile

We worked away for some time solving this one a while back. Then we were finally ready to start the search. Up in Mackay for a few days gave us the opportunity to check out this nice spot and the beach. How far away is that water when the tide is out! The GPS took us to GZ and we decided on a few likely spots. One of them yielded the cache. It is in excellent condition.
Thanks for the effort, the fun puzzle and cache, dandent.

After attending the 15th Anniversary GTG this morning and the CO confirmed the cache was up and running we took the opportunity to scratch our previous DNF. Found quite easily (in a location previously searched prior to it being muggled). Signed log and replaced. TFTC!

Easy find as we happened to meet CO on his maintenance run.
Went for a walk along the sea after signing the log here, a walk that could have cost me my life Big Grin
As we are enjoying the beach I get a notification of a new cache, assume its in Mackay. At the same time I cant make contact with Jackylegs44 that have taken the car.
On a second look the cache is in Cairns and I can relax but it was close
Thanks for this puzzle and hide

Teamed up with karicka and family for a roadtrip from Townsville to Mackay over the weekend in order to get some of those caches that all have recently been published and to put a few more smiley faces on our map before our big move back home to WA. Were also looking forward to attend the International Caching Day Event down in Mackay which was organised by dandent and meeting some local cachers down there.

Always a satisfying feeling to catch the CO in the act while re-stashing his cache Wink

Ay, someone was going to walk the plank if this riddle was not solved. Lucky for geo daughter one and geo daughter two the treasure was found.
We put our mark on the sheet and buried it again.

Another PJ night run.
Thanks Dan,
