Nope… not today….
I’m confident I understood the hint, and the subtle and not so subtle references in the logs…
Another day then…

Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed south from Brisbane to attend a friend's one-year birthday party celebration. Consequently, we decided to make a day of our time within the Gold Coast. We spent the morning visiting Hope Island, Jabiru Island, Coombabah, and Runaway Bay, and in the process, we completed *North East Gold Coast Skatepark Tour* and *Parks around Coombabah* Adventure Labs. After having a late lunch at Southport, we had a walk around the CBD area completing the *Southport Heritage Walk - Part 2* Wherigo adventure. A sunny and warm afternoon in the end, with many people out and about enjoying picnics and time on the water.
I noted a DNF on this cache who visited last, as well as a significant amount of time for this one not to be found. We initially found a suspicious object in the garden, but no further evidence of a cache with that, so we continued to look around. I then started to read a few past logs, and upon going far enough back, my thoughts to where this cache should be, were confirmed. I returned back after already having had a look, and voila, the cache was fairly easily spotted - not sure how I missed that during my first look. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks daire4 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was also nice to have found this cache with 369 days [12.1 months / 1.01 years] of unfound love since its last find on 8/09/2020.

In the area grabbing some caches. Parked and thought “where could this be?”. As I got out of the car and wondered over to the GZ point I saw something out of place.. sure enough that’s the cache. TFTC
Took a little while but after a bit of head scratching we found it! Ended up being caught by someone who turned out to be the cache owner
First time on this side of the freeway.
Picking up a few caches while checking out the area in general.
Thank you for this geocache

Went for a drive up the coast today to check out a few Northern caches.
Parked across the road from a block party. Had a good idea of cache. Subtle find and go. TFTC daire4

Arrived at GZ to find this cache but I had the wrong hat on, certainly wasn't a smart one as I couldn't work out the hint and was about to leave. Changed the hat as I started to walk away and a bright idea hit me and I basically stumbled onto GZ. Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
hatzofff and I were at a CITO on Hope Island, so picking off a few caches after the event..
Hint led to a familiar hide. All in good order.
Log signed and cache replaced as found at 6:12 pm on 3 March 2019. TFTC, daire4.

Not a fan of this type of hide, especially when there are 8 cars parked around the driveways over the road.
I bit the bullet and just did what had to be done.

Found this one a couple of months ago but left it as a draft and never got round to actually logging it. My apolagies.
Thank you

Gold Coast Day 1
Todays trip took us north into the Coomera area. Lots of new housing estates we visited not knowing that they existed. Even my GPS didn't know some roads.
Hubby dropped me off at the corner to do a U turn, I spotted the cache & soon had the log signed.
Thanks for placing this cache daire4

Parked the Geo-Beast around the corner & wandered back to GZ where I spotted the cache, IPS, straight away.
The difficulty was getting to it while a muggle was sitting across the road in his parked car watching me intently.
Faked a phone call while I pondered what to do.
As I was 'on the phone' a young lady wandered up to the parked car, got in & they drove away.
Quickly retrieved the cache, made our mark & replaced as found.
The log is quite damp & could do with some CO TLC.

Quick find here today, nicely hidden away. The logsheet was sodden so it was difficult to sign.

Parking further to the north and wandering back, this was a quick find. With all the traffic on the main road, waiting for a break, it was a safe retrieval and there was even a shady spot to scurry to as I signed the log.
Thanks to daire4 for the cache.

Second one of this type today - also my last find for the day as the weather is getting to be too warm for me! Thanks daire4.
Looked in a few places and then stopped to think about it and the light bulb flashed on. Aha!! There you are our little beauty. Retrieved and signed the log and merrily went on our way. A nice hide and the cache was in good condition. Cheers and happy caching! [^][^] This cache was part of our 25 D/T in a day challenge!
Had us searching for a little while, then we stopped and thought and of course made an easy find. TFTC
Out chasing some pre-christmas caches on my way to an event... tricky one this one but a good clue helped. TFTC !!!
Hey thanks for the hide sorry i havent posted earlier - I thought I had already. Cheers
Out and about today on the MTB to go to this event.
A 95km round trip, I am a little sore this arvo watching the cricket.
A quick dash down the road after the event for a quick find. [^]

We needed a cache today to fill in our caching calendar so this was my choice for today. I had my two little granddaughters with me to help look for this tricky one. After searching one area I wondered if this other spot may be more fruitful and ... Bingo - it was! Added our name to the log and took the TB.

I tried to head over on the weekend but it just didn't happen. So early this morning I made a slight detour for a find before work.
The usual locations soon produced nothing and it was only pure luck that had me look in the right place. Very clever guys, love ya work.
Cheers

Looks like this cache is so easy to find that three people found it before it was published.
These names were already on the log when GCGem and myself found it 2/7/15
Corey Thorpe 22/6/15
Dylan Airey 23/6/15
Bentley Lee 25/6/15

They replied "noo!! My brother found it the other day and we wanted to see what it was"
I asked "do you know what its about???"
They said "no" so I said "its a world wide game were people look for different sized things/containers its called geocaching"
She wrote down the name in her notes in her phone and off we headed in our orginal ways.

We rush out and were hoping to be FTF but noticed other names on the log that appeared to be from last month and thought we had gone to the wrong cache.
Now unsure if others beat us to it or what appeared to be other names was just part of the cache description.
Will have to go back and take a closer look at the log later.
