32 out of 43 for today.
Having enjoyed a stroll along the CCT between Hall and Mulligans a few weeks ago, and seeing more are rapidly being published, it occurred to us to do the next bit between Mulligans and the Federal Hwy. So McPhan and I made another arrangement of a car at each end and walking the length.
The weather was kind, not too hot, and the forecast rain didn't eventuate, and each cache flowed into the next. We were finished before we knew it. Great company as always, and we'd often overshoot the next cache mid-conversation. World peace almost assured now. It turned out we found these JackaKid ones to the SE end just before they were archived, presumably to make room for more of the CCT ones.
Thanks JackaKid*none* for the series.

10137 and 32nd of 42 found today.
After finishing off the chunk of CCT caches we had planned we came upon this series. Winglen and I had returned from a big trip to SA and decided to do a few more just to warm down. This weekend it was and so we gathered as many as we could.
The task was made a lot easier as the majority of mint tins were out in the open. There was only one that gave us problems because the cache had been replaced a long way from where the original was hidden - but all good in the end.
Thanks for the series and thanks for the suggestion and company Mr W.
Thanks for the cache JackaKid and the bomb.

Decided to grab a few caches today before it got too hot - was out the door before 8am, but really should have stated earlier. Was not sure how many I would find given the ever increasing temperatures in the morning. But it ended up being 2 puzzles and 5 trads. Decided to leave most of the Jackakid caches for another day. Back at the car by around 10:15am, tired, hot and out of water. But enjoyed the outing and the exercise. Bumped into ZimbaW as we were parking and again towards the end of my walk - great to meet another cacher in the wild!
Quick find on the way back to the car after collecting some other caches. Thanks Jackakid for the cache and the series!

I am using Geosphere Ap for the first time and clearly I need a bit of practice [:?] .
After seeing plenty of muggles (and another Geocacher) earlier in the day there is not a soul around. Just this Mad Geocacher out in the not quite noonday...
I see AngelG27 has been here before me. Thanks for the cache JackaKid

The ninth find of the day. I had planned a big day of caching in Goorooyaroo to pick up the remaining Jackakid caches as well as a few other caches in the area. My goal was to find 31 caches and get my name in another cache. I was doing it on foot, starting at around 10 am and hoping to finish around 1. My first cache was The Zoo at the Goo! by specimenX and I managed to find the waypoints pretty quickly and then was off to GZ. From there, I headed off to Dwarf Clan Blacklocks where I found the cache quickly and then uphill to Burnt Stump Hill, where I found the cache while enjoying the views.
From there, I headed onwards to Dwarf Clan Firebeards and then onto the Jackakid powertrail. I found it each one pretty quickly before arriving at Challenge - 366 Consecutive Days where I signed the log in the hope of finally fulfilling the challenge requirement. After that, I headed uphill again and collected Dwarf Clan Stiffbeards and Dwarf Clan Broadbeams. After that, I was back on the Jackakid powertrail until the most northern cache in the series.
After knocking off most of the Jackakid series, I continued onward to Lightning Bolt Attractor. From there, I headed back toward Old Joe, collecting Slightly off the beaten track on the way. It was quite a climb up Old Joe hill, I guess that is reason why my marathon loving friend loves this hill! I headed down hill from there and then onto Zygon Inversion and Hunting for Treasure in the 'roo before finishing up with It burns after 2359, Dwarf Clan Longbeards and the remainder of the Jackakid series.
After finishing up in Goorooyaroo, my dad and I drove to Gungahlin Pond to collect the higher terrain caches and my second new D/T point for the day. I collected MisTREEvous first and then hit the lake to collect both Capital Paddle caches. It took a bit longer than I expected as the boat was quite slow. It was also tough trying to manoeuvre the boat into a good spot to collect Capital Paddle #1.
Thanks to all the cachers who hid caches that I found, it was an enjoyable day on the trails!

Happy New Year to all..... An easy find whilst out caching in the area with MW9010B. TFTC!
went for a stroll up through Goorooyaroo while my DarzeeDi was in Melbourne for the Melbourne Event. The rain had gone for the day so it was great to be out again and I love this nature reserve. tftc JackaKid
The cache had dried out. While it shows signs of the water damage, it is usable again. I rebuilt it and re-hid it. TFTC
Found with Decrypter. The log was saturated, hopefully we were able to leave our marks. We left it open under some more rocks to give it a chance to dry before the next finder. TFTC

I enjoyed a pleasant afternoon of cycling and caching. This was a nice place for a cache, near the pretty pond, and was my favourite cache in this series today. A favourite tick from me. TFTC JackaKid.
Found with the Scarlet Leprechaun and DJQuigglesticks. The full story is in my log for #31. TFTC

This mornings mission was to get some exercise while cleaning up the caches in the eastern Goorooyaroo reserve. This was an easy find today, after a DNF on my last attempt. TFTC.

Sunday 20 September 2015 - a glorious Spring day with a brilliant blue sky at 18 degrees between 10am and 2pm. Found 24 caches in 4 hours over 11.46 kms by bike riding, bush bashing, running and pushing a bike up steep hills over rocks and more rocks. Saw 3 Shingleback lizards, 2 Echindas, plenty of Roos, Humans on foot and on bikes. Great day thx Siri, P and T. Dropped off 2 trackables and picked up a Buddha trackable in some of the caches found today. TFTC.
I missed these two a few weeks ago, so on my afterwork walk I decided to get these two and one on the nearby hill. A great walk in the evening light.
Thanks.

Did a long walk today (didn't have a bike with me) to do some caches in this reserve. Being from far out of area I didn't know what to expect, but thoroughly enjoyed the area and the caches!

We loved our walk in the reserve today. It was also an opportunity to collect a few more of this series. This area is very beautiful and we also went up a couple of the nearby hills to admire the views of Canberra today.
Thanks for the history, the walk and all the caches

#3458 - 10:00; I completed another section in this series yesterday and decided that the time had come, weather permitting, to tackle this section of the trail and complete the series so far. I made an earlish start on a beautiful winter's day and headed out to the furthest of the unfound caches I was hoping to find today. After number one was sorted, it was a pleasant stroll back towards the geomobile collecting the remaining caches in the series along the way. TFTC JackaKid
We came back today to complete the unfinished trail that came up after we thought we had concered this mountain, great weather presented for us. All the caches were in fine form and easily located, over all a great day. TFTC JackaKid
Brilliant day - stunning locale ... caching at its best!
Thanks, JackaKid!
Thanks, JackaKid!
The weather was very nice today so I had planned to go for a walk. The original plan was the Jackakid caches along the Goo however on arrival I was greeted by muggles galore, and most of them were ankle biters. Hmm ok Orienteering is happening here so I changed plans and went over to Mulligans Flat and collected those caches instead.
I had a very nice walk today, collecting a total of 32 caches and also finding 2 of the missing Jackakid caches and getting them back in play.
Another one of the caches that have had a number of the DNF's. I checked where the cache was supposed to be and like those before me, I came away empty handed. I expanded my search location and had a look around the pond. I located the cache container sitting in the reeds beside the pond. The insides were full of water, the log was nothing but mushy papaer so I took it out, dried the container, placed a new log inside a new bag inside the container. The container has also had a new zip lock for the outside, so thats another one back in play. Seems the animals are having a play with the containers around here.
Thanks JackaKid for placing these caches, lovely area especially on a day like today.

Another DNF here. (Before RapidlyWild found the wayward cache)

After work I managed to get away soon enough to go for a solid walk. I made it all the way from Horsepark Drive to number 46 in this series and one more beyond. Only the two AWOL caches were missed and it is great to see them back in place. The return walk seem to go forever, bit it was a great evening in the reserve.
Thanks.

sorry but I think this one way be missing found the tree found the rock but no cache
Found the tree, found the rock, found no cache. I think you need to replace this one too
We found the tree, we found the rock - unless the clue is misleading this is going to need maintenance, sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Quick find. Cheers

I kept starting these without finishing due to weather and culling timeouts. Today was to try again but alas a DNF along the way. Found this one without a problem.
All other caches were good.

Out today to hit my next milestone of 1000, which was only 22 caches away. Seen some great views and some great cache locations. thanks for the cache.
After spending all morning in bed fighting off a migraine it was time for a walk in the fresh air. Being overcast it was ideal conditions.
Parked at the usual spot and met up with a familiar character Fitzy_1965 who we walked with a little while before parting ways.
A successful walk with only one DNF at 39 today.
TFTC's JackaKid we are enjoying your VC series.

A beautiful winters day and what better way to enjoy it than to go caching in Goorooyaroo.
We continued our walk enjoying the views as we collected the JackaKid's series.

A lovely sunny day meant I was off for a geomission in the 'Goo to collect the VC series and a couple of others after that
Except for a DNF on a missing #39, the VC caches were nice easy finds on my wander through this lovely nature park
Thanks for more of the series, JackaKid

Found on a lovely morning at the end of the holidays. Our aim today was to finish off most of the other JackaKid caches. After getting the furthest cache in Goorooyaroo, we worked our way back to the car by getting the caches along the way. All of them were simple finds in lovely parts of the park. TFTC JackaKid!
Spent the morning assisting RSPCA setting up at Pooch Affair at EPIC. Since I was now on the northside of Canberra decided to spend a few hours caching in Goorooyaroo Nature Reserve.TFTCs.
#1063 3 of 9 today.
A quick lunchtime gc run on the bike today. I was a bit worried about the path conditions, but all in all, it wasn't too bad.
Thanks for the cache JackaKid

Headed out this way to enjoy the sunshine on a good winters day. Rode out to number 46 and then worked my way back to the car. All found ok....
