Cool tree, but two of us searching nearby at GZ couldnt find the cache.
What an amazing freak of nature!!! And how do people stumble across these treasures. Thank god for geocaching is all I can say. Thanks for bringing me here
We were on our way home from the Mega, and as we went via Ballarat to see Mr Dromaniax's father in the hospital, we decided to grab the cache closest to our Centroid to meet a Challenge cache.
We hadn't been able to make the exact calculation, but we knew it would be around Timor. So we decided to find all four caches just to be sure.
This was one of the four.
We found the cache in fading light, which was in great condition.
Thank you, Wonder Woman W.W for this Traditional cache.

Wow, that tree is amazing, nature can be incredibly flexible, i just loved it.
In Maryborough for the day with time for caching finding a variety of caches and a couple of DNFs All in all a very satisfying day and while the weather at times looked threatening the rain held off what an amazing survivor this tree is. Seems the miners have removed lots of its natural support in their efforts to find gold. A favourite point for this Thanks Wonder Woman WW
Not Found with LittleBoss2 on a beautiful day while travelling. We walked and sometimes bush bashed to a lot of caches today on our way from Bendigo to Halls Gap. So many amazing views today, making us feel so grateful to live in Victoria.
Our thanks to Wonder Woman WW, but we couldn't spot the cache despite several laps of the nearby tree. The tree is amazing though

Unfortunately someone didn’t put the cache back properly and was clearly visible. We put it back where we thought it was supposed to be. The tree is spectacular, very very interesting TFTC
omggg coolest spot ever! so glad tytaylor19 and i came here! quick find but omgg the above tree is the coolest thing ever fav point from me
This tree is amazing! Me and catherinec19 could not resist climbing it! This is the last cache for now in this area and this is by far our favourite one so far. This gets a well deserved fave point. TFTC
The find of the day, what a great place to be brought to, fav from me . Had to walk approx. 100m but all good TFTC
be very carful of snakes, we found a good size brown snake not far from the cache
Was told by my work to have Monday off from work so i turned that into 3 days, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and I picked a spot on the map that I can not remember ever visiting so Marybourgh was the spot.
After such a big day yesterday the plan was to a have a bit more of a relaxing day and take it as it comes.
Back on the dirt roads again and using my maps I found the best way into this one.
The Geocruiser loves some of these tracks and I made it right near GZ.
I was recommended this one by a previous finding who said it was worth the while to visit here.
That is one fascinating tree and very impressive what nature can do.
A came across a very friendly cache guardian who was willing let me get to the log.
After searching in a few spots I soon located the cache, added my name to the log and now lets see how many more I can find today a bit more of a relaxed pace.
A fav goes out to you for bringing me here.
Thanks Wonder Woman W.W TFTC.

WOW! What a great way to start the day. This was our first cache for the day and it was fantastic. The cache itself was a nice quick find although we are pleased that we read a previous log before finding this one. Cache guardian didn't give us any trouble. Quickly signed, logged and returned for Mrs Papi to take at least another dozen photos. Thanks for showing this to us. Have to love caching and the places it takes us. Definite favourite, wish we could give you a couple.
Yes beware of snakes. I saw 1 but it was quite tame and let me pat it.
The trees have a creative life here that's for sure
Thanks

Having had a DNF on this one some time back, I found mysrlf back here again. This time there were no problems for an easy find. TFTC A really intereting tree!
Even though I suspected why it scared someone before me, my heart did stop for a second. Tftc.
Yet another cache to continue our caching streak for a challenge.
I've been meaning to come grab this interesting sounding cache ever since we became premium members and since we were out taking care of some errands, I just added this to the list
M wasn't wearing his hiking shoes and wasn't in the mood to walk anyway so I left him in the car and walked the last hundred meters or so to see this fascinating tree.
Obviously I've read *far* too many fantasy novels 'cause it was giving me the creeps! [:o] The cache guardian didn't help either...
Thanks for find #1647

Found at 2.30pm whilst camped in the area. We drove to within a few metres of this tree. Amazing erosion. We wandered around the area for a while exploring.

Found today with Explorer Nan, while enjoying a day out exploring Maryborough and surrounds. Well wasn't this an interesting place to visit! Not only for the spectacular above ground tree, but also for the general surrounds and obvious mining history. Chunk pulled the legs of Chook and Nan at GZ but all was good in the end. TFTC Wonder Woman and for bringing us here.
What an amazing tree! This is such an oddity amongst many beautiful mature ones. Just as well you put in a reptile alert!! I had no idea about the huge scope of the Gladstone mine area. It will be good to return one day to climb the mullock heap. TFTC
What a different tree, never seen anything like it. Bit of a surprise at Gz. Cigc. Tftc
OMG!!! kenare pooped big time!!! Everybody else laughed!! Especially me!! We found the cahe after checking out the tree. Its pretty cool. FP coming your way. tftc
Found on our way to the Event in Maryborough.
WOW what an amazing tree never seen anything like it.
A really great spot for a cache a favourite point from us.
Thanks for placing this cache so we could see and enjoy this tree.

Quick and easy find.

2nd visit to this unique tree but the first time I looked for the cache. A quick find, although it did get the heart rate going a little when I first spotted the cache. TNLN
Went to check as have had a few DNFs. It’s definitely still there. Changed cache a bit but it’s still good to go. Happy caching.
Suscoe headed out for a day caching to the west of Castlemaine today.
A cool start but the sun was shining and the breeze kept things pleasant till mid afternoon.
We enjoyed travelling around to so many new locations.
It is so dry up here with dams almost empty but it is the end of summer.
Thanks to Wonder Woman W.W for this hide.
It was great to be able to find this little chap after our previous DNF.
What a beaut little hide, not sure at first but then it all became clear.
A favourite for the and the location.

TFTC. It is a great feeling to convert a dnf to a smiley face. We had a rough idea of what we were looking for after conversations with previous finders. Even armed with this information it still took a while to spot.
We were prompted by a Goldfields group on Facebook this morning which showed a picture of the Above ground tree. Certainly a wonder of nature.

What an interesting tree. Just wish we could find the well hidden cache. We will try again another day.
We have been cooped up, keeping warm and nursing our colds for a couple of weeks and we thought we would head out and find a few caches out Maryborough way.
Mr Morris chose the 4x4 option so we arrived very close to that spectacular tree. what a beauty. The cache took a bit of finding and even when we found it we weren't entirely sure. Eventually with a bit of poking and prodding we were satisfied it was indeed what we were looking for
We had lots of fun today - thanks Wonder Woman W.W

Went to check cache is still in place. Cache is still at correct co-ordinates and still in good condition. Happy caching. (Note the cache is not at the above ground tree but close by)
Coming in from Timor the gps in the geo-vehicle took us in toGz in a very convoluted way. Goat tracks would be one description. The way out was more direct. Found the tree and was fascinated. It looked like a huge spider.
We searched low and lower but the cache could not be found. We searched longer than normal as it was such an effort getting to GZ.

This is one of the caches we found, among the history lessons and interesting scenery, as we returned to Creswick, after the "9 Months to the Event in Alexandra" lunch in Wedderburn. a favourite for location.
Apologies for such delayed and generic logs, we have experienced a severe computer malfunction.
Thanks Wonder Woman W.W for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

I was really pleased to see that my route to the Wedderburn event had me near this as I have been wanting to see it for myself. It is indeed an impressive site but like suscoe before me, I could not find the cache. I spent quite some time checking everything again and again but to no avail. I wonder if a Kookaburra has indigestion?
No luck for Suscoe here today.
We looked down so many times but nothing looked like it would be a cache or a camo for a cache.
So we will probably have to return one day, will keep an eye on this cache and hope it is still there, but too good for us today!!

Wow, what an amazing old tree and mining area. A bit of a search was needed, but Happy pants grabbed it in the end. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
With Christmas nearly upon us we had the opportunity to do what we love the most and that is caching around our beautiful countryside. We finally hit Maryborough where we planned to stay overnight and find as many caches in the area that time would allow. We drove the 4X4 into this one where we were amazed to see what "Above ground tree " meant. What an amazing job mother nature has done to keep this tree alive.
Thanks Wonder Woman W.W for bringing us out here to see this awesome Gum.

We drove until a huge tree over the road stopped us, then we legged it. We spotted the interesting tree and then Motndarg spotted the cache camo. Not so sure I liked the camo in this environment though. We signed the log and replaced. Thanks Wonder Woman W.W, interesting spot.
McLookers and I made the short walk in to this hide. We did see this amazing tree, it's appearance due to the mining era. After a short hunt we spotted where the cache was hidden, must admit my heart is still thumping!!!!!! All signed and back to the geo car
Found at 03 September 2016 11:05:00
A nice easy find near one of natures impressive creations. Given the mining nearby I can definitely see how this tree came to be. Thank you wonder woman for showing us this place.

Parked the car and started to walk and walk. Found a likely spot. A few minutes later cache in hand. TFTC
Caching with the kids in and around Timor today with becca85 and kids as our guides. What an absolutely amazing tree! So so cool! Definitely adding a fav point - thanks for bringing us to a totally awesome spot to discover something new. Hoping to come back this way for more of your caches soon! Adding some pics. Many thanks
Catching up with some late logs, therefore this unfortunately is going to be one of 'those logs'. I apologize in advance for the generic log, A combination of limited time and too many to log dictates that a generic log is best. I have enjoyed the hunt and being outdoors in this great country of ours, partaking in a pastime that I thoroughly enjoy. I usually head out by myself, but I thank those that have had the misfortune of my company in some of these ventures.
Thanks Wonder Woman W.W for placing this cache.

**What a fantastic and unusual tree. The track in should say 4WD only as a car can only JUST make it to near where the tree and cache. Thanks for bringing us to this area, if not for geocaching you would never find this place. And the cache, well that was a bit of a shock, I don't like those sort of things at all. TFTC. SL. Well done with this hide and cache. **
Ive been here before and was so worried bout runnin up n down that hill that i never noticed this tree.
photos with the tree for sure as it is absolutely amazing..
oh and the terror our search struck into BrookeDavies was priceless hahahahahahahahaha

Caching through Maryborough and Timor. Missed this log when signal dropped out. Nice camo typical of what you would find inside deep dark dingy hollows. Beware wriggly sticks in the bush. TNLN TFTC.
We enjoyed this little hide and even the tree more. Thanks Wonder Woman W.W for the cheeky hide and for showing us this area.
Find # 2620 @ 2000 H
Found with Tyred n Cranky.
after hitching a ride with Tyred n Cranky over to Maryborough for a bit of arvo shopping and Chinese for tea we decided to have a look at a couple of caches that were on our way home.
WOW what a tree, after making the cache find and getting our names in the log, I then took a closer look at this weird natural wonder.

Find No. 1111. Found with FUF009 at 8.00pm
An afternoon drive to Maryborough to do some shopping and go out to Chinese for tea. On our way home via Timor to grab a couple of finds. First up was the multi in the resting place at Timor. After we found that it was off to locate this one. Parked the car and off we all walked. Wow what a tree. None of us have seen anything like this before. While we were taking in the sights of the tree it was FUF009 who located what we actually came for.
Now it's back to the car and head for home.

After been at the event It's my Party & I'll Cache if I want to... it was time to do some caching around my old home town and show the mini ReganSeekers. After all the years of living nearby i never knew of this tree, wow! AMAZING!! Thank you Wonder woman for bring us here it was truly amazing to see, a favorite point from us
What a great little spot near queen mine. Lovely to see all the old trees especially the main above ground tree. Spent a bit of time here after riding out on pushy. I may have an irrational fear of snakes so this cache took a little while for obvious reasons
Staying locally whilst orienteering in the area. Pleasant drive out here on a fine spring day. Not sure what we were going to find until we got there and then recognised why the cache has this name - unique. A little bit of a search and the cache was in hand.

Caching should bring you somewhere worthwhile......this one meets this criteria. A very strange tree indeed,
It reminded me of one of the big creatures in The Incredibles....aside from the tree bit of course.
I half expected it to walk away on my.
Anyway, this was certainly a cache that had me guessing.......
It took a couple of goes, but soon enough it was mine. With the log signed, I gave it a pat and returned the cache to its hidey spot.

Found by Roma and Max.
Congratulations on your first hide and we found your co-ordinates to be spot on, even though your container was small it was unique and brought a smile to our faces.
It is indeed a pleasure to find a cache where some imagination has been applied and we thank you for your effort.
A very commendable first placement.
Cheers,
from Romax.

Published - Congratulations on your first cache placement. If you haven't already done so, please make sure you have a look at this item on the Geocaching Blog titled; "You hid your first geocache, now what?" see here: http://www.geocaching.com/blog/2015/03/you-hid-your-first-geocache-now-what/
{FTF} in the company of Geo-kids neisha07 & boo09. For once we saw a new cache up while all clothed & not stuck at work/school. It had been published for a good half hr or so but off we headed and were happy to find a clean log. A great spot, interesting cache, a "way cool" tree (according to the kids & I have to agree) and spot on co-ords made this a very enjoyable find & fave point earned. Thanks Wonder Woman W.W and Congrats on your first hide! Hopefully there will be lots more to come. Maryborough is becoming a thriving Geocaching town which is awesome to see.
