Reperio 10:15Day 2 of our NSW south eastern caching tour, and Master Vitruvius and I travelled from Tarago, through to Bungendore and then on to Captains Flat. It was quite an eventful day, from finding a dog on a lonely country road, to having a brown snake slide up next to me while signing a cache, to having a police officer pull over and put his lights on for us as we were pulling road kill off the roadand of course, lots of geocaches found. A great day out full of geocaching and adventure. Gratias KittykatchAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Billie the wonder dog is especially interested in the wild life of here. But she also forged our path to the cache for us. tftc
We found your cache today 29 March 2024 11:46am , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC Kittykatch and GrimRaider
Find # 10977Nice quick find.FP AWARDED!We've travelled to Canberra for the Capital GeoBash Mega event this Easter long weekend. We have parked our van at Capital Country Holiday Park for the next few nights and are looking forward to catching up with our old caching friends and meeting new friends.TFTC Kittykatch and GrimRaider 29 March 2024 15:38
A quick and easy find, with no life preservers required. Thanks for the cache Kittykatch and GrimRaider
Interesting spot for sure. Wow 33 kangaroos just jumped out of the bushes. Ground zero. Thanks for the fun!
Our last day in Bungendore and just a morning of caching planned. A lovely sunny, warm morning and heading along Lake Road. This one took us a while, we were so close to GZ but could not see any track leading in, straight line was also next to some not so nice smelling road kill. After we comitted to jumping the fence we could see where we needed to be and found container.Fav pointTotal Caches Found 15555TFTC Kittykatch
Found it and saw my first “wild” kangaroo nearby as I was taking pics of the lake
Camping at the nearby show grounds gave us the opportunity to pick up a few.
Thank you for the hide!!

It's Earth Day Weekend.
I have decided to finish my finds in each of the 360° around my home location. I have been missing 7° for ages and they are all clustered in this area.
This cache is a lot further north than I had to go, but the last time I was on this road I couldn't get this far north as there were sheep being moved along the road. I also wanted to have a closer look at Lake George with all that water in again. Not as much as it was in the early 1990, but quite impressive after the last few decades.

We have found the cache however it appears that it has been found by an animal and it no longer contains the paperwork. The torn plastic bag has been left beside the cache and we have replaced a piece of paper.
TFTC. Loved the cache. I usually carry a note pad with me but didn’t today. The only paper I had was my entry into Braidwood Servicemen’s Club. This was the only cache that had a problem.
So this is the end of the trail. On my way back I saw a blue tongue crossing the road and made sure I missed it. Then to my hottie saw a snake about to cross the road but turned back quickly when it saw me coming or felt me coming. Then I shivered as I was walking in that long grass.

The container/bag? has deteriorated from the weather but it still has the geocache logo visible.
Found - unfortunately it was open, the zip lock bag was ripped into and the log sheet was missing!!
Went for an afternoon drive, and walk, along the lake road. The lake was very picturesque, full as it now is, a grand expanse of water stretching to the foot of the windmill hills in the distance!
For years after moving to Canberra, with the lakebed dry, I believed lake George to be not a true lake, but akin to those salt "lakes" we have in South Australia. It's quite a dramatic change to see it now!
Thanks for the cache!

Exploring a different region today, this was a straightforward find on a road with a very pretty outlook, especially further north. Love the container. Thanks, Kittykatch.

Ship to shore, do you read me any more. This line is bad, and failing... but not more than the whale which is in need of repair so we can sail back in to harbour. Found with Sophiescout and Jemalong and Family. TFTC
Beautiful early morning start along the lake. Cold and frosty made for good photo opportunities.

We had a most enjoyable day of caching from our base at Bungendore. The weather just perfect and the scenery so green and beautiful. Yours was one of the caches we targetted and found. Thanks to Kittykatch for arranging this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Lake Rd was one of my goals today and I'm so glad I bothered because the caches here were great. An excellent themed cache but it took a little bit of scrabbling to be able to make the correct approach. Thanks Kittykatch and GrimRaider.
With BomEm, on a Mtb/Hike caching run to Bungendore and Lake George.
Nice hide KK, though the log book was damp.
Added a zip bag .
Thanks KK for the series

Can nearly see our dry dock. This adventure would have been even better with some water included.
Attending the Clear Water 2019 mega this Easter in Queanbeyan. Apologies for the generic log but we have found too many to compose individual logs. Many thanks to all the cache owners for their caches, which have been exceptional in their maintenance I have had only 1 dnf and that was only because I was not going to make a tree climb without seeing where the cache was. The vast majority of caches have had very good coordinates. Along with useful hints. TFTC
Another great day out with woolwood9 hunting containers.

Teamed up with The Rats to primarily find some of the power trails in ans around the ACT whilst also attending the Mega Event in Queanbeyan. In a couple of days we managed a few hundred finds. The landscape wasn't too bad and we enjoyed the various series placed out. TFTC!
Headed down to Queanbeyan for the Clear Waters Mega event over Easter with steeba. We set ourselves a goal of bolstering our find count by doing some of the numerous powertrails that dot the surrounding area.
Grabbed a few caches by night around Bungendore before heading up along Lake George where we found a campsite beside the lake for the night. Thanks to the CO's for placing the caches we found.

Out for a drive in the countryside with Bluewattle picking up a few caches along the way.
After a nice lunch in Sutton we are back on the road in search of more smilies.
Great camo, loved it and a favorite point from me.

Dry dock indeed, unfortunately this Cache has taken on a little water and the log book is a little damp. Tried to replace it in a way to keep things dry. Still in okay condition.
Another good use of some unused items, better as caches than landfill!

Left Port Macquarie heading south to the Mega event .
We are now back at Gundaroo Sports ground.
There are now 7 geocaching teams here. TMann from NZ had a quick stop here looking for a cache, so they spent some time here chatting
Decided to head towards Bungendore & up the side of Lake George. This was a wonderful drive, the cache containers were all so relevant to the hide name.
Thanks for placing this cache Kittykatch

Found the cache, with a bit of a struggle on hands and knees. However, it had been "popped" apart and the logbook has had some water damage. We put the container back together and replaced it carefully. TFTC
Loved the cache containers along Lake Road. Quick find and sign with Unicorns. Thanks for the cache Kittykatch and GrimRaider.
It didn’t take too long to home in on and find this fun cache once in the Ground Zero area. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
A great little country lane Drive.
Enjoyed finding these caches, seeing what view is around the next corner and all the different cammos.

After spending Christmas with family and being hampered by a sore foot, I was getting edgy about not caching in my holidays, and a little bored. So Joeylovestreasure and I concocted a plan to grab a few early morning caches along Lake George before the sun was above the yard arm (when beer becomes mandatory)! Great to catch up with an old friend and caching mentor from my first days of caching!
Unless otherwise noted, caches found in good condition and in accordance with any hints.
This cache: another nicely themed cache! What a lovely little trail.
Thanks Kittykatch for the cache and the fun!

Found whilst caching along the scenic lake road drive with MJ5. This one took us awhile to find but happy once the cache was in hand. TFTC
Nice quick find as Touchstone7 and I did a few of the local caches. She'd already done this cache, so was having fun watch me try and find it.
Thanks for the cache KK.

Went out for some night caches that were easy in this cold weather. Had fun TFTC
I was joined by some lovely roos fir this last one. Another great cache. Have enjoyed the morning.
Yes, this one for me, I even guessed what the container might be, and even found it first!
We had as much fun guessing what the container might be as the actual find itself. TG guessed this one and was correct. TFTC
Caching our way home from the geomuster mega. We coukdnt resist an extra night on the road and a chance to do the lake series. Camping at the showgrounds provides a perfect jump off point for the series. On the way to this one playing a guessing game on what to expect. Very flash, seemed right at home stranded high and dry on lake george. Tftc
Heading home after working nearby. Put aside an hour to divert along lake Rd for a few caches.
Thanks for this series of caches, and apologies for the generic logs.

On a two day caching/camping trip with EverestHigh around this area from Queanbeyan to Captains Flat then back to Goulburn. What a great area to visit with so many caches to grab. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these many and varied hides. Some interesting information about the many places we visited.
On our way to do the Lake Rd series. What a variety of cache containers. This one looked stranded all alone until we found it. TFTC

#2378. Caching with Green-martian, Duffco And Jan. A quick find after a short search. Not enough water in Lake George for any sized boat. TFBUH Kittykatch.
Find something out of place in the rocks and you'll find cache.
Went caching along the west side of Lake George with TheSkype, plus 2 muggles Duff and Jan. It was a straight FWD drive up the no thru road picking up caches in snake territory, with some caches being quite clever. Tftc.
