Reperio 10:17Day 2 of our NSW south eastern caching tour, and Master Vitruvius and I travelled from Tarago, through to Bungendore and then on to Captains Flat. It was quite an eventful day, from finding a dog on a lonely country road, to having a brown snake slide up next to me while signing a cache, to having a police officer pull over and put his lights on for us as we were pulling road kill off the roadand of course, lots of geocaches found. A great day out full of geocaching and adventure. Gratias KittykatchAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
I saw the possible hide at approach, but then got distracted by another possible hide. Found it in the end. TFTC
We were observed by a solitary roo who seemed very suspicious of our activities...tftc
We found your cache today 29 March 2024 11:41am , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC Kittykatch
Find # 10976Nice quick find. We've travelled to Canberra for the Capital GeoBash Mega event this Easter long weekend. We have parked our van at Capital Country Holiday Park for the next few nights and are looking forward to catching up with our old caching friends and meeting new friends.TFTC Kittykatch and GrimRaider 29 March 2024 15:33
A quick and easy find; the yards would be good for water buffalo. Thanks for the cache Kittykatch and GrimRaider
Our last day in Bungendore and just a morning of caching planned. A lovely sunny, warm morning and heading along Lake Road.Total Caches Found 15554TFTC Kittykatch
Nice quick find! The GPS was bouncing around a lot, but I figured I didn’t need to cross any fences and then found it easily TFTC!
Camping at the nearby show grounds gave us the opportunity to pick up a few.
Thank you for the hide!!
Thank you for the hide!!
It's Earth Day Weekend.
I have decided to finish my finds in each of the 360° around my home location. I have been missing 7° for ages and they are all clustered in this area.
This cache is a lot further north than I had to go, but the last time I was on this road I couldn't get this far north as there were sheep being moved along the road. I also wanted to have a closer look at Lake George with all that water in again.
Not sure if that was a skink or a snake that moved away as I approached the cache.

TFTC. A nice quick find. A great view from here. Sad to think the trail is almost finished as I’m having fun.
Went for an afternoon drive, and walk, along the lake road. The lake was very picturesque, full as it now is, a grand expanse of water stretching to the foot of the windmill hills in the distance!
For years after moving to Canberra, with the lakebed dry, I believed lake George to be not a true lake, but akin to those salt "lakes" we have in South Australia. It's quite a dramatic change to see it now!
"Lake Road Water Levels": Got a great photo of kangaroos against the lake, here
Thanks for the cache!

Exploring a different region today, this was a straightforward find on a road with a very pretty outlook, especially further north. Thanks, Kittykatch.
The water in the lake was well out when I passed through here today, thanks for all the caches along here.
A good find after so many prickly Patterson’s Curse traverse. Found with Sophiescout and Jemalong and Family. TFTC
Prickly find like all the others today, a nice quick grab on a drive with Sophiescout and aussiepusckaks. TFTC

We had a most enjoyable day of caching from our base at Bungendore. The weather just perfect and the scenery so green and beautiful. Yours was one of the caches we targetted and found. Thanks to Kittykatch for arranging this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Haha, as soon as I came up to the sign I just had to have a laugh at the number of people who must have tried their luck and failed in order for the locals to make a sign like this. I heeded the warning and didn't make the potentially treacherous attempt (especially being solo), but I was able to find the cache which gave me as much of a laugh as the sign. Great cache placement, thanks Kittykatch and GrimRaider.
With BomEm, on a Mtb/Hike caching run to Bungendore and Lake George.
Great container.
Gets a fav from me.
Thanks KK

thanks for the Cache

Almost stumped when a local stopped moment to check whether we were up to no good or not. Definitely too old for that sort of nonsense.
Attending the Clear Water 2019 mega this Easter in Queanbeyan. Apologies for the generic log but we have found too many to compose individual logs. Many thanks to all the cache owners for their caches, which have been exceptional in their maintenance I have had only 1 dnf and that was only because I was not going to make a tree climb without seeing where the cache was. The vast majority of caches have had very good coordinates. Along with useful hints. TFTC
Found while on a trip away with tmann421, heading back from the MEGA in Canberra

Teamed up with The Rats to primarily find some of the power trails in ans around the ACT whilst also attending the Mega Event in Queanbeyan. In a couple of days we managed a few hundred finds. The landscape wasn't too bad and we enjoyed the various series placed out. TFTC!
Headed down to Queanbeyan for the Clear Waters Mega event over Easter with steeba. We set ourselves a goal of bolstering our find count by doing some of the numerous powertrails that dot the surrounding area.
Grabbed a few caches by night around Bungendore before heading up along Lake George where we found a campsite beside the lake for the night. Thanks to the CO's for placing the caches we found.

After a nice lunch in Sutton we are back on the road in search of more smilies.

The police tape nearby was interesting...but glad to say we didn't get bogged today. Guess lake George wouldn't be the best choice to beat any land speed records.
Another cute container.

Left Port Macquarie heading south to the Mega event .
We are now back at Gundaroo Sports ground.
There are now 7 geocaching teams here. TMann from NZ had a quick stop here looking for a cache, so they spent some time here chatting
Decided to head towards Bungendore & up the side of Lake George. This was a wonderful drive, the cache containers were all so relevant to the hide name.
Thanks for placing this cache Kittykatch

Another highlight. Loved the cache containers along Lake Road. Quick find and sign with Unicorns. Thanks for the cache Kittykatch and GrimRaider.
We soon found this cache once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for another good fun cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
A great little country lane Drive.
Enjoyed finding these caches, seeing what view is around the next corner and all the different cammos.

After spending Christmas with family and being hampered by a sore foot, I was getting edgy about not caching in my holidays, and a little bored. So Joeylovestreasure and I concocted a plan to grab a few early morning caches along Lake George before the sun was above the yard arm (when beer becomes mandatory)! Great to catch up with an old friend and caching mentor from my first days of caching!
Unless otherwise noted, caches found in good condition and in accordance with any hints.
This cache: another nice spot!
Thanks Kittykatch for the cache and the fun!

Final day in the Canberra area. Thank you to all the cache owners who spent time, energy and dollars placing and maintaining caches for us to find. Also please take a bow as your coords were in the most part really good.
Slowly wondering north after the Parkville Mega. Thank you, Kittykatch for placing this cache it certainly added to the enjoyment of our trip. 3961. TFTC TNLN. We really enjoyed this trail, took many photographs and had the most pleasant day. We are not disappointed most logs are cut and paste. please don't be offended as we truly enjoyed the trail.

**# 22790** Found on another perfect Spring day with MrsRoosta.
Another trek around Bungendore and a few more good cache hides.
This one was a very good hide too.
I was tempted to drive further in, except for the warning sign info.
Thanks for the cache Kittykatch,

Found whilst caching along the scenic lake road drive with MJ5. Glad to find a spot to pull in without teh need to get bogged. TFTC
Nice quick find as Touchstone7 and I did a few of the local caches. She'd already done this cache, so was having fun watch me try and find it.
Thanks for the cache KK.

Found on a few days off work caching. Headed up after work last night for an early start. Thankyou for the cache
Parked next to the sign and made a quick recovery of a neatly tucked away cache. TFTC Kk and GR
TFTC. Love the resignation that people will drive out there despite the sign. There was one car out there today.
The wind was phenomenal!! Could see what others may have needed the towing!! Tftc
We didn’t attempt it. Had a good laugh about all the phone numbers given for towing firms. Kutgw
The two cannisters are now in the one container and better hidden. Signed both logs just in case.
Caching our way home from the geomuster mega. We coukdnt resist an extra night on the road and a chance to do the lake series. Camping at the showgrounds provides a perfect jump off point for the series. On the way to this one playing a guessing game on what to expect. We behaved ourselves today and didnt need to PAF to get us out. Tftc
Heading home after working nearby. Put aside an hour to divert along lake Rd for a few caches.
Quick and easy find. Scary stuff to find in the bush. MuggleHusband spotted a Hawk diving for a rabbit scurrying into the undergrowth as he waited in the car with Nonna. TFTC Kittykatch.
I was planning on caching in Nowra on the way home from a weekend camping in Moruya, but the holiday traffic was horrendous so i found another way west.
Bogged? Been there, done that last time i was at Wee Jasper just for a cache. Today was so dry despite the bit of rain i had when packing up camp this morning.
Thanks for the cache

Well, there was a car out there today. And it looked like it was bogged! Found an old cache well hidden behind this cache that hadn't been found since 2011. TFTC

Let's not get bogged down in the details, but when was the last time Lake George had permanent water lying in it, let alone experienced flash flooding? Anyway, we heeded the warning and did not proceed beyond the sign. TFTC KittyKatch and Grim Raider
