Found by caughtatwork on 23/11/2024 at 8:05:00 AMA quick caching morning on a day that was very warm and will become even warmer.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1

Another day of adventure with doddlingalong. A bit chilly but so good to be out of the city. Thought we would give this collection a start and see how many we can collect. TFTC
Out and about today just grabbing a few caches to add to my collection. Quick find thanks.
Trying to keep up with the Jones in the Cosmic Quest! Many thanks carkisser for providing this game piece for our enjoyment.Greetings from Tatura, Australia
Accompanied with theashleys7 for caching day at Mt Disappointment. We enjoyed our journey to find the caches and some DNFs. Weather was freezing in the morning and nice in the afternoon. Found it and logged as KASA24 as a team. Thanks Carkisser for placing the cache
Logged as KASA24 as kangas11 and I both had a huge day today caching together at Mt Disappointment and writing our team name instead of both our caching usernames saved us time. I did the driving while kangas11 did the finding & writing in the logbooks. Tomorrow back to Mt Disappointment for more and well be swapping our roles. TFTC Carkisser!
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. Day 41/74, Saturday. Today, I decided to do some trail caching and headed to the Mount Disappointment area. I searched quite a big number of caches today. Some of them I simply skipped, due to various reasons: there were some DNF's and I could not be bothered - the place was too "bushy" or otherwise unpleasant, or I did not find the cache in less than a minute (which was my limit for patience today). I knew I would only get a fraction of the caches anyway, so it made no sense to try to get each and every one of them systematically. So, I was a bit lazy. Most of the caches today were found very quickly and I had a lot of fun. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! Logged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).
Day off today so thought wed head out & gather some smiles. Quick park & sign. TFTC
Domani all'alba partiamo per l'Australia... (NitiFlex e Eletab)Thanks Owner

28/12/23During our short lived stay at home holiday, Mr h and I decided to head back out and try to finish the TWC series, however, we find ourselves a bit out of practice. After gather a multi in Whittlesea, we had a look on the map and decided that we haven't done any of the Mt Disappointment caches! With Mr H still sore and recovering from recent surgery, we needed something stimulating, yet not too demanding on the body. We found ourselves very thankful for the (so far) paved roads, and the close Proximity of parking to each cache, making this trail the perfect balance we needed!Cache: In good conditionTFTC!!!!HoodedHooligans (H.H.)
A trip to this region of the Australia was planned. In order to search and find a few caches here, various caches were dragged onto the Garmin. When we got here we saw a nice power trail. Without further ado, we organized various groceries to make ends meet. Filled up the rental car again and off we went. Our 4 WD-Truck is ready for this trip! After some time of starting this challenge, we came across here as well. We had to search a little longer for one or the other cache. Thanks to the owner for laying, caring for and guiding. TFTCKind regards from Germany
Found it but as I retrieved it the lid wasn't on it. Signed the log, replaced the lid and screwed it on tight. TFTC
After a planned Saturday of geocaching around Lancefeild and sourounds, we found ourselves finishing up the day in Wallan. As a joke, I said to Mrs 4wd that we should just go to Dissa and camp the night and smash out the few caches we had DNFs on the power trail that had since been replaced.
Next minute, we were off into the bush and set up camp at Campsite #1 ahh the freedom of a rooftop tent and having the 4wd set up for such spontaneous decisions.. Caching is way more fun than the day I had planned to catch up at work.
I'm happy to have finished off this series

This cache would seem to have had some welcomed action on behalf of the CO by a Good Samaritan - 'RoamingHowie', so it fortunately lives for another day.
Please remember that cache maintenance arrangements need to be proactive, not reactive. This means regular visits (by the CO) to check on the cache and not relying on or expect passing seekers to fix issues or replace missing caches.
Even though a Good Samaritan has addressed the issue, there is still a need to remove the "Needs Maintenance" attribute - see here: [**Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon.**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and then Enable the cache - see this link: [**Temporarily Disable and Enable**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) .
**I have removed the NM attribute and Enabled the cache for you on this occasion.**

Good sized caches, with accurate coordinates and good hints are making for a pleasant drive and an enjoyable day. Thank you for the effort you have put in to setting this trail for all to enjoy.
The goal was 400 in a day—a pretty big task. But with Mt Disappointment and the Power Trail, it was a possibility. We started strong and hoped to find a high percentage of this excellent series. Unfortunately, it was a Mountain of Disappointment as the geomobile did not appreciate idling and travelling at very low speed as much as we did. It let us know the gearbox was not happy, so we had to pull the pin after 130 finds.
We did have the pleasure of seeing a range of Australian wildlife, one roo, several wallabies and four wombats, which it pretty cool.
We apologise for the generic log, as we prefer not to write them. We have some time pressures and cannot write 130 different logs.
All caches were found in excellent t condition unless otherwise noted.
Thank you, carkisser & JSando, for this long series of Traditional caches. We will be back to finish the series in the future.

Found this while attending the Whittlesea mega.
Depending on the log size and who I was with this is signed as nikid1, ND1 or TQ5 (team Queensland).
I had spied this series up north as it will help with a local challenge cache.
Was wondering if this would be doable with all the recent rain but with teamwork we could leave someone in the car where we couldn’t get over enough while others searched. One DNF for us the rest where found fairly easily.

Friday and there is so much to do around town, in the hills and in the adjoining districts, where to start. I will say that despite the changing weather conditions every 9 minutes, this has not dampened my look on this area. It is fantastic and such a great little main street and with so much going on. A plan was set for today and with my caching buddies off we went, chasing caches all over the place. There are some fantastic views from up in those hills. We got in some great caches today and covered a very large area of caches, thanks to all who put these out.
We started with some of the challenge caches and a drive around the area doing some labs and the Mt. Disappointment caches. We were unable to check out some caches due to works being conducted in the areas, so we will have to come back another time.
There were a few events on in the Melbourne areas, so we planned our times around those.
We did these caches as a team, which worked out great for our days plans. Thanks for the great caches today, we signed as TQ5 or as individuals at the events.

Twas the night before mega
With dark night and cold air
Off we go caching
late nights do not scare.
Kangaroos are of plenty
Five wombats we did see
How many caches will we get?
One? Maybe two or three.
Great company with Dromaniax,
Lucky we had a stamp
Plenty of caches were found here
Some good, some old, some damp.
Thank you

Dropped by to grab a few more Mt Disa caches after I noted this one of them had a found log on the same day that I last visited (and couldn’t find it!).
The logbook in this one is disintegrating unfortunately.
Thanks carkisser for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Leaving Melbourne at lunch I decided to hit this trail and attempt my 150 in 24hrs challenge. Probably better tried on long summer days I had to take this opportunity on ny way home to Canberra with the right amount of time to myself to give it a shot. Tomorrow will tell the tale of success or not.
I have been intending to have a go at finding the caches on this iconic geocaching route for a while now. Today was the day, well to make a start anyway .. generally the coords and hints were spot on, unfortunately a small number of the caches we found were a bit damp but I still managed to make my mark… We were surprised with the amount of people here, dirt bike riders, shooters 4WDers and campers… and of course geocachers. A few caches we had to give a miss due to muggle activity but got them on the way back. Apologies in advance for the generic logs! Thanks to carkisser and JSando for the series .. I can’t imagine how much work was put into the series .. much appreciated! We will be back to get the rest.. but maybe not on Easter weekend
TFTC we are working this run backwards. Drain on other side of road is too deep to pull into
Found today @ 11:05

Beautiful day and thank you for placing the caches. Will be back to finish them off.

Nice sunny weather and surely it can’t last So headed back into the forest from a different direction. Fab fun exploring this territory and a relaxing caching day. Shared the trails with dirt bikes, domestic loggers, and sightseers.
I wasn’t looking for huge numbers ‘tho the finds started to pile up after lunch. Having said that, a couple of sneaky hides had me spinning in circles As I’ve said before about this PT, the hides are consistent, good coords and hints Rounded out the day with a visit to Broadford to give the car a hose down before returning to Yea. I should sleep well tonight.
Not to get logging as keen to see what’s left on the map

We decided to try a few of this series today starting late in the afternoon. We were a little surprised with the amount of traffic on what we thought would be a quiet road. Most of the caches were found quite quickly - almost park and grabs. My apologies for a generic log. Thanks to carkisser & JSando for the series.
Apologies for the late log, we made so many finds over this weekend that I'm just trying to catch up! A little bit hard to pull over safely here though! TFTC!
We needed eagle eyes to spot the pull-out spot just past this cache. A short jog back to the find. TFTC
Awesome cache, we love this series my boys and I spent the day exploring this beautiful area!
The views are spectacular.
Thank you

Finally, a weekend with no kids and (momentarily) lifted ISO restrictions. We’ve known about this epic series since we started caching a few years ago but have never made the trek from South Gippsland. We started on Saturday 20th at about 11.30am and cached steadily until dark, which was pretty early given it was Winter Solstice. The campsites were all full with dirt bikers, so we found a quiet spot in the bush to camp. A wet night ensured followed by an early start and we got back to the caches again. We only had until mid morning, but over the two days we found a total of approx 152 caches.
Apologies in advance for the generic logs! There were only a few DNF’s and we’ll log those separately. Caches were otherwise in excellent condition and the coords and hints were spot on.
Thanks so much to carkisser and JSando for this extraordinary series! We applaud the effort that you have put into placing and maintaining these caches We look forward to coming back and finding the rest
What a great day to take myself alone, up to the start of the Mt Disappointment caches at last. It was windy and blustery but I had a wonderful time. It won’t be my last visit. I can’t wait to get all the way up to the summit. Tftc carkisser and jsando

Mrs. iowaPete and I came to the area today to chase GC7A, the second oldest cache in Australia. We found ourselves with a few extra hours and no firm plans. I did what I usually do - pull up the geocaching map and look for....
Holy Powertrails, Batman!! Look at THAT series!! Mrs. iowaPete and I decided to chase a few of them. We wound up cherry picking several just because that had parking spots that we felt comfortable using. Since we don't know the area, we were concerned that we might get in somebody's way, so we skipped a few from time to time, and grabbed others.
Once we figured out what we were looking for, the cache chases went pretty quickly. The hints and coordinates were excellent and we grabbed a nice pile. All of the containers were in great condition. Clean and dry with log sheets that easily accepted our signature. We only scratched the surface of the whole series, but that's okay. We enjoyed it all.

With my caching buddy Spiffy- overseas, It was a chance for me to go get some caches he has already found (there are lots as he is 1500 ahead of me and started 1 year after me...)
My target area was Mt Disappointment. I had an idea to ride the bike, but it was a little warm and the roads a bit harded than I first thought so left the bike in the car. All caches were founs within a couple of minutes as the coords were good and the geotrails helped.

With permission of the team member who was in the local hospital we decided on a day our this time with a goal of collecting 150 finds for the day which will if achieved will be our best caching day and after spending the day collecting cache after cache we ended with 151 finds and 3 DNFs so it was a rely good outing today.
Sorry it is copy and paste logs most were nice quick finds some proved a little more difficult however most we very easy finds and some require a little attention from the owner for wet logs with it being a good day as it was cool to start and didn't get over hot during the day we managed to make the goal of 150 finds with 1 extra just to be sure.
Thanks carkisser & JSando for placing this series for us to make such an assault to collect so many caches on one day.

I'm really enjoying this series of caches. Don't know how many I will get done today before the rain arrives!
A cooler day to keep the risk of snakes and bushfires lower however the shower did make it damp underfoot.

Americans resident in Singapore, in Australia to celebrate Uni daughters 21st. Enjoying the spring weather and the amazing outdoors and picking up a few caches along the way. Thanks for bringing us to this beautiful area!
This series was on the cards today, most of the caches I did were all in good condition, unfortunately it seems some of the cache sbetween 45-69 are missing due to widening of the road were I had quite a few DNFs.
Caches between 184-191 need replacing as they are all wet.
Cache from 170-140 are in great condition and were all quickly located.
Overall I had a good trip and a good few hours out finding these
Today was a big day out, well it felt like it anyway. With the rain coming out of the clouds early I was unsure if my plan would be put to action. After hosting an event in the morning the skies seemed to clear so off I went in search of some Mount Disappointment caches. After finding just over 100 of them I decided to pull the pin and head back to Melbourne to do some more interesting caches. Some multis were on the cards and some finals were located but due to the amount of high muggles frequency due to this so called thing of “school holidays”, I had to leave the caches. Finished off the day with an event near Marvel stadium and on the Spirit to Tasmania.
A great day out with 118 finds. A good few days in vic finished off.
Thanks for the cache

This is a wonderful day. I’m on my way to a dinner with friends to celebrate 50 years since the moon landing. This takes me up the highway so what better way to spend the day doing a few more of This seemingly never ending great series Thanks for all your work on this carkisser & JSando
After a lot of planning over the last few months, the day had finally come to get stuck into this series. I followed the route I had worked out without being sidetracked and everything went pretty much as I had hoped. I made my first find at 7:10am and the last for the day at 6:15pm. By 7 o’clock I was sitting in the Red Lion in Kilmore enjoying a cold beer and thinking back over a most enjoyable day. There was of course the odd DNF along the way as well. The weather was kind to me which helped a lot as well. A big thanks to carkisser & JSando for placing this and maintain this series. Cheers and TFTC
With geo-daughter Sheri at the wheel and geo-mutt Ana barking orders from the back seat, we began our quest to collect all of the Mt Disappointment series. Even though it was a late start we will see how we go. Well hidden. 8 down. TNLNSL. TFTC. KkAmS
Heading through to Albury today and thought we'd stop off and do a few of the Mt Disappointment caches.
All good to find for the most part, but a few (like this one) were a little to dangerous to park so we left them...
Thanks for the fun carkisser & JSando - your work here is most appreciated!
