Cache container (looks like a blue bison tube missing the lid and log) is embedded in a pine cone in a knothole that has overgrown so the container cannot be removed. I think I found it and that it needs to be fixed or archived.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
8840 Located by baby&Mrs gopher ( bMg in small logs ) at 0850. The road along the Terrible Vale property was most enjoyable with the van in tow. Pulled up in Kentucky just as the school busses were delivering kids to their study. SL Tnx Flynns4
We found this cache after I played soccer. I like the playground nearby. TFTC.
Took a detour on the way home from Walcha and found ourselves here. After Bushwalkinggirl followed the hint literally, we soon had the cache in hand and the geokids were off to play in the park. TFTC
We were in Walcha for bushwalkinggirl's under 7s soccer & took the opportunity to grab some caches. This was a fun detour on the way home, the cache was quickly found in its shrinking hidey hole & the playground was fun too. TFTC.
Quick and easy find today. I have ridden past this spot so often but never thought to stop. Till today TFTF
I am back in the town as I head north today.
Another quick find and only just got it out of the tree. And off to find the next one on my trip north.
Thanks for the cache.

It is now time to head back to Toowoomba after a great few days down south of Gloucester.
The event yesterday was fun, catching up with out friends and making new frirnds.
I found this cache quickly. [^]
I could see the old cache slowly being swallowed by the tree. The new container can be retrieved easily. [^]

Today hubby had no problem retrieving the cache container from the tree, the job of signing the log was soon done. We decided that this looked a good place for us to have a morning cuppa and grabbed something from the local store while there. Thank you for showing us the sleepy little place. SL TFTC
The tree is swallowing the cache. If the CO wants to hide the cache in a new spot close to the old one that would be great. We put in a new log and container as the other one can no longer be removed from the tree and left a new log as the old one was completely full.
We liked the fact that this cache brought us to this little town that has a spot where you can park your caravan for a night or two and restroom and a little General Store and Licensed Cafe. It was settled with orchard blocks being allocated by ballot after World War I.
Thanks for bringing us here.
Cheers and Happy Caching!

Spending a couple of days caching in Armidale and surrounding areas caching before heading to Tamworth ..
I used to live in both Tamworth & Guyra at the same time for nearly 3 years. So I have travelled the main h'way 1000's of time yet I have never taken the slight detour to this little gem of a town.
It was starting to get rather late and I was also getting quite tired, but will defiantly make a point to come here one day and have a good look in this area. Thanks for bring me here ..

A quick pit stop on our way from lunch at Walcha Road hotel. BBC's first solo find. SL TFTCM
We followed a trailer full of alpacas on the road into this little village which was quite amusing. The cache was easily found but extracting the log and replacing was extremely difficult. There is also no lid on the container and the log is full. TFTC
Last time I was in Kentucky was over 30 years ago. Not much as changed. Interesting spot for a cache and it was interesting how we retrieved the log. TFTC
Couldn't get the container out but could retrieve the log and sign it. Looks like a lovely little village - must come back another time to explore. Thanks Flynns4.
Very clever hide! Much jiggling and twisting mr muscles managed to retrieve the log.
Like everyone says, an easy find but difficult extraction. Managed in the end though. Thanks Flynns4.
How on earth did you hide that in there? It took quite a lot of persistence to get the angle right in the first place for extraction, and then both a tool and some serious strength - I think the last finder was very enthusiastic about sealing it again, so much so that now the O-ring has been screwed off. Anyway, with time and patience, I managed to extract the log. With sap all over my hands, The Marble did the honours, then replacing it took a bit of time too, plus the tool. A very unusual hide indeed! TFTC, Flynns4. =^.^=
OMG! This was a tricky one. Never mind persistence paid off and we eventually got it in the right direction for us to get the log book out. Tftc
Easy to find but extremly difficult to get at. A pair of tweezers is almost a must. We enjoyed a tour of the distillary on the Eastern Estate and a beaut Plowmans Lunch. TFTC Flynns4.
Can I suggest to the you Flyyn4 that a power run to Wolun would be a good idea.

TFTC, quick park and grab, although the cache lid is really hard to grasp and the log hard to remove.
I'm sure there was a time this cache was far more accessible but it's quite tricky at present! My fat fingers didn't help. Enjoying a drive through the country though. TNLN TFTC
Stopped here while on the Annual Bail-up Poker Run for motorcyclists on the last leg from Kentucky back to Uralla. Almost everyone had moved on so I could freely explore this little gem. Found quickly, SL, and back on the bike! TFTC, Flynns4
On a caching adventure to Uralla/Armidale/Hillgrove with pprass we set out to see some country side and some interesting caches.
Well this was very interesting, while driving along the road, we seen in the distance this large white something? on the road, like we are talking huge, as we got closer haha they were sheep, 1000 of them that walked a long way (poor things were freaking out) so we carefully drove through the thickness of it all allowing the sheep to go to the side of the ro so we could get through.
Wow that was random, i guess you only see that in the country. arrived at GZ where the cache was found, bit of trouble getting it out, next minute Cat was walking very fast back from the cafe informing us that the 1000 sheep are coming through the town and we will have to wait....no way lets get out of here.
Thanks for the cache Flynns4

Found at 10:59 AM GAFF1 in the company of NurseHayley on a 3 day weekend touring Uralla/Armidale/Hillgrove.
We camped at Apsley Falls the previous night and woke to a very misty morning which cleared up to a beautiful day by the time we were on the road.
As we travelled up Bergen Rd we were confronted with a sea of sheep that looked like they had just been shorn. As we approached the shepherds on their quad bikes they advised us just to gently forge our way through the mass and just like the parting sea, the sheep scattered all over the place - I think they were a tad distressed as there was sheep poo all over the front of our van by the time we stopped at Kentucky.
Got to GZ and after a circuit we spotted the well jammed in "container" and as we were signing the log sheet, c-pprass heads over to the cafe and after a few moments rushes back yelling at us to clear out - the 1,000 sheep are coming this way in a few minutes
So in a rush of dust and flying sheep poo, we tear off for the New England Hwy - we don't want to get stuck in that lot again
Thanks Flynns4.

Thanks for the cache Flynns4, took nothing, left nothing but signed the log.

Love the spot! It looked really natural from the front. But tricky with my fingers though!
Interesting hide, although a little difficult to access. Great little village!

Found by Pat & Cheryl at 11:40 am. Thanks for bringing us to this great location and helping us to increase our tally. Really enjoyed this cache Flynns4 and this is #1194 so far for us.
Cache is in good condition.
We indulged in some fine coffee from the cafe over the road after our find. Thanks Rod.

Great cache! We've just enjoyed lunch at the local winery and stopped to grab a cache in the biting wind. TFTC. An FP from us.
Out and about and found this cache quickly along the way. Thanks.

Moved from Uralla to Tamworth today. Stopped for a couple of caches on the way.
After setting up camp in the caravan park, we then set out in Whitey Whiskers Territory.
The caches were all mostly a quick find with good co-ords or a good hint.
Thanks for placing this cache Flynns4

Found out by the local dog. TfTC Tor and Betsy geocaching westies are now touring australia.
Clever. Worth the drive to this charming town. Beware the yapping dog nearby - makes it hard to be stealth!
This is a very well placed Cache I give you a favourite point for it, It is a very neat fit indeed. There was nobody about when I was there. May I make a suggestion to you, there is something very special about Kentucky that you may not be aware of, that is that the Village of Kentucky sits precisely on the crest of the Great Dividing Range. The actual ridge line crosses the road leading to the School and Shop about 25 meters from where you turn right off Kentucky road coming from the Highway. Only the locals and a select few of others know of that special piece of geography.
May I suggest that you make a small addition to the entry that you have written to include this special piece of information for the benefit of visitors coming to the Village of Kentucky to visit the Cache.
The interesting thing about Caching is that a great number of Caches are located at very interesting and Historical locations. The railway station (that has been demolished) stood exactly on the crest of the Range, if you should doubt my story please speak with any old resident of the Village and they will tell you that water running of the roof of the old Church opposite (now a private residence) was East and West running water, it straddles the Crest of the Range. I do hope that I have been of help to you. TFTC

It was a bleak winters day at Kentucky. There's not a lot of advantages with freezing weather but at least it keeps the muggles away. We spotted something a little out of place as we parked. {FTF} at 12.26pm. TFTC Flynns4, nice hide.
The day isn't getting any warmer, but being out caching beats sitting at home, nice easy find and back to the car, TFTC Flynns4, SL. 2TF at around 3.25 pm.
