A quick find ... the cache is certainly showing the ravages of salty sea spray...but log book all in good order. TFTC Janet and Brad.
300 metres up the road is another sign which says "4 knots". Guess which one I stopped at? Ok, nice day for a walk.

Straying in Goolwa with the whole family and this cache is only a few (hunderd) metres from our accommodation. While grandkids were playing on the nearby play equipment the oldest geograndson (under instruction) and geodaughter went for a quick wander to make the find. As we approached GZ the Grandson spotted the cache and ran up to retrieve it. Extracted the log and the three of us signed it. Then it was reassembled and replaced the cache as found.
Very proud first find for the Grandson.

With today's weather forecast to be pretty good compared to yesterday we decided to head on out. Weather was okay but pretty choppy still out on the water. Surfers loved it! We managed to grab a few caches out and about.

Early morni not g walk checking out the great playground and found the cache.Thanks.
Found with Geodaughter. She wasn't convinced that it was where we were but we soon had it in hand. TFTC
Today with COVID-19 requirements still in effect, but fitness like kayaking and heading to national parks still being promoted, jesswrigley and I decided to head to Goolwa and kayak towards the top of the Coorong. The weather was looking iffy with grey clouds, moderate winds and ocean waves up (forecasted 5-8 m waves), so we decided to scout around Goolwa barrages firstly. It was an area that I hadn't been before, and enjoyed the views and birds hide experience. We then drove across Hindmarsh Island, and kayaked approximately 2.5 km across the Coorong, and parked at Younghusband Peninsula, where we enjoyed a small 6-7 km loop up/down the beach/lagoon. It was nice seeing a few kangaroos and emu, but otherwise the area was rather remote, seeing only a houseboat with family nearby.
A nice little park that was rather quiet today. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and interesting to see this attachment method. Thanks Janet (and probably moreso Brad) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

We were out and about taking a look at the Regatta Yachts and decided to give this one another go. Hooray, today there was no one sitting at GZ so we were able to swoop in and finally find this one. Thanks Brad & Janet
Another quick stop on our sightseeing geo tour of Goolwa. Saw this one from the approach, so was able quickly sign the log without being seen. Tftc
Found while I was in the area chasing a FTF. I ended up with 3 FTFs and over 20 finds on a hot day. A quick find here. TFTC

out and about with mogni. Just taking her dog for a walk and cleaning up a few caches in this area.
At the end of August Groundspeak wanted a seven day streak to obtain a souvenir and so I started streaking. Despite having bugger all caches within 20 kms of home I am still on that streak. I am also trying to fill in the calendar to have found a multi cache and a mystery cache on all 366 days.
Today I needed to find a multi cache and a mystery cache for the calendar and doing so continue the streak.
I was joined today by Hevwalker and Co. for a day south westward.
Although disabled the cache was in place with a piece of paper from the last finders. Phoned CO and got permission to replace with a log book. all good to go again
Thanks for putting out and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache. The logbook is missing and needs to be replaced.
Off on a road trip to the Silo Art tour Vic, Mildura, Goolwa SA, Maitland SA and then home via Murray Bridge, Naracoorte, and the Grampians, picking up some caches along the way as we see the sights. We are now staying in Goolwa and today we went to Hahndorf, Mt Lofty and finished up in Glenelg before heading back to Goolwa. This cache was far too close to our accommodation not to check out. It was Mrs Pooky who made the quick easy find on a very windy day. However the container was open and empty, there was no log book inside. We added a piece of paper and signed our names but owner will need to put in a new log book. TFTC and bringing us to this spot.
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
After our house sit in Willunga, we are on the road again, filling in time before we go to Kangaroo Island on 1 Nov. Caravan at Hindmarsh Island, so today, we concentrated on all the caches there. Finished on the Island, we went over to take a look at the barrage - it was a bit late to go out on the gangway.
Quick find and sit. Thanks Janet (&Brad)

Owl and Magpie were headed to Victor Harbor for a weekend of craft, hilarity and Bible study, but Owl insisted on stopping for a few caches on the way and Magpie obliged. At least Owl managed to find her some good views along with the finds. This was a previous DNF (because it wasn't there), but no such troubles today.
Nice quick find. Great spot to contemplate and watch the world go by. Second attempt today as the first had some snuggly muggles not wanting to go away. TFTC. Caching with CrackedChelle
my first official South Australian geocache. My geo sense told me it was where I thought it was but the phone GPS put it at 8 metres away. In the end I was correct. It was The logical choice. Thanks for the cache and for fun.
Today on our arrival there was a man with a metal detector and he was sitting on the ground digging out a piece of metal from the ground, thankfully he had his back to GZ. We re not really sure what he was doing. SL TFTC
Today The X-Trailers and I cached our way to Encounter Bay.
Weather is perfect and being with my sister made the day perfect.
