No cigar for me either, much probing but perhaps I wasn't recklessly searching or my fingers are too short
We did this cache after doing the nearby Earth Cache. We had the place to ourselves and searched for about 30 minutes. Unfortunately we came away empty handed.
I checked every single crevice here.. checked every single bolt. High and low and came up with nothing. It was stinking hot 42 degrees when I got back to the car too!
Today we drove once around lake wivenhoe. We had great impressions.

After gathering the answers for a nearby earthcache, geomum and I made our way to this one. There were not too many places to search so the cache was soon in hand. I signed the log, returned the cache to its hiding spot and we continued on our way. TFTC
Travelling around Australia and currently in Queensland.
Now stopped in Samford for a few days to catch up with Ajtmb. Nice weather to be out and about so we decided to head out together to visit Mt Glorious as we can't do it with our caravans.
Lovely weather and great company sharing our shared hobby, nothing better than this. Took us a while to find the right access but once here it was all good. From here we said goodbye to Ajtmb as they headed off shopping!
Cache found, log signed then replaced.

We had a great long weekend camping at Esk. On the way home I wanted to show the kids the dam wall so we stopped in here.
After checking out the impressive engineering, we wandered up for a quick, easy find.

Hardest part of this cache was finding the access road. Our GPS wanted us to stop on the spillway and climb down the rocks but that didn't fit the open from 6 to 6 information.
Once at GZ the cache was quickly found. Thanks.

A tricky little hide and it took a while with lots of poking and prodding. Hoping there wasn't anything with teeth there. Thanks genyo.
Nearly an hour of searching but the cache didn't come out to play next time maybe
Found it! The last cache after a lovely picnic lunch at Wivenhoe dam. TFTC
Found it thanks to our tall friend we wouldn't have been able to see it because we're so short
Almost going to give up but found in the end. Wasn't to keen to poke fingers into too many places as there are a lot of spiders. Lovely view
Clever hide. Took a few minutes to find it. Another one found with GreatBritishBeef. TFTC
Wow what a place, I'd love to see it when the water is rushing through.
This one had us poking fingers in everywhere [:o]
Finally got it after almost giving up.

We had a very lovely day to the wiwenhoe dam with my boys. Thank you for bring us these!
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
We had some time to relax this morning, and decided to make our way up to Wivenhoe Dam for brekkie, and once we were done and having just grabbed Look Out and the nearby EC, we decided we would give this one a go We headed up the track to GZ, and began searching. We had a thought of where it may be so we made our way around checking every single one, but couldn't find it... Him perhaps it is in... OK a quick check and we soon had the cache in hand and added oour name to the logbook [^]

I was with the CO when this cache was hidden, so it was found easily enough. Such a lovely spot to visit and happy to have an excuse to come back.
Maybe one day I will also be able to log those pesky caches out on the dam.
TFTC Genyo!

I stopped in here this afternoon on my way through to check out the spillway but not a drop of water was being released. Anyway, it was worth stopping as I managed to find this cache.

After completing the emu portion of the Coat of arms Geo art, I toured the Esk-Wivenhoe region picking up a selection of caches on the way back home .
Decided to visit the area to nab the nearby Earthcache, but it was easier said than done finding the entrance road. Once the EC was completed I wandered up the hill for an even better view. Not too many hiding spots here.
This cache was found after a short search in good condition, and adds to our total of 2212 smilies. Thanks **genyo** for showing us this spot. Discover our trackable TGQNRV

Stopped here on the way back to our daughter's place where we are staying for a short while. This one had us going around the block a bit, maybe due to ??????????. we ruled out the obvious but missed the obvious. Then the moment came when hubby found the shiny little bugger. SL TFTC
Quick find today after a morning at the dam. Great view from here!
TFTC all good here

After visiting the earth cache we made our way to this one by the short up hill track next to the fence. Great views of the dam and final cut. It took a little bit to get out fingers on the cache but worked our way around to make the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Out and about in the region today.
A bit of a detour to get to this one, but I have been here before.
A bit of searching before spotting the cache.
Thanks for the cache.

Took a little bit. Was expecting it to be more of a nano but deffinitely a micro. Tftc
Great views across the dam and the cliff wall on the other side! Cache was quickly in hand. TFTC!
Found on an Xmas family trip out to the dam cache took some hunting for but found in the end was tempted to throw the wife and kids off the edge but then realized I'd be cooking my own Xmas dinner so I decided to spare then tftc
Slow Puncture, Linden/6 and I have spent a few hours on the bikes today collecting Brother Colin's puzzle cache series in Toogoolawah, and we are now heading home to Brisbane, but of course, there's just a few more we shall gather along the way!
While the others sorted out the nearby Earthcache, I discovered the good path to this one. It was jolly hot out here so we took it pretty slowly. Nice to get a quick find, then it was back to the air conditioned cars. TFTC, genyo.

First find for a while, we had come out for a drive and decided to grab a cache. Took a bit of looking, but we got it in the end. TFTC.
came for the nearby earth cache and saw this was here too. Hmmm how to get there. Walked back to car park and found the stairs. Arrived at GZ and found cache soon after. Was looking for something else when I saw the size was a ?. I class these as micros. All good and a great spot! Tftc
What a great place for a cache. After a short search the cache was located. A favourite added.
What a place!!! I came for the earth cache and found this cache thanks for bringing us here.
cache find #3511 Took a bit to find this one, but got there eventually. TFTC.
Walked up from the main lookout and spent some time looking in all the wrong places. Eventually a process of elimination had me at the abyss........but wait a sec, there it is! Sneaky hide this one. After signing the log replaced carefully and were on our way. TFTC genyo
I had this one on my list to do today as we were driving to Brisbane for the weekend. I have been to this area many times in recent past and knew it was at the top lookout. Arrived in closest carpark and whilst geopartner went to the closest lookout I ventured left and up and left and wandered towards the fence. GPSr wanted me to stick left and I soon saw direction it wanted me. Very quick find and is not able to be seen by muggles unless they have wings and are flying towards it. Apended my YOF on log sheet as that is what I use on small and micro log sheets to save space as I write big. TFTC genyo
Last day of the school holidays so we decided to 'go for a drive'! We love these kind of days where we discover new and different places, or stop where we've never bothered to stop before!
After finding the nearby earthcache we headed up to have a look for this one - took us a few minutes to locate it but did so easily enough. I think it helped that the place was deserted.
Thanks for bringing us here today - probably wouldn't have wandered up to this lookout if it weren't for a cache here!It was another angle of a pretty magnificent man-made structure!
Being late in the day we decided to explore the other side of the wall another day
Thanks for the cache today genyo!

Last stop for the day and I figured I may as well make the stop since I was in the area. No one around today and the water was not running at all. A relatively quick find when you take things into account and soon I had my name in the log and was on my way back towards home.

Went for a quick caching trip this afternoon with Breejakekate around Wivenhoe. Last time we were here the dam gates were open, much quieter today! No one else around so we could have a good search, found by geodaughter fairly quickly. Great hiding spot. Tftc
That was a tricky little one
Talk about timing... just as we were leaving a group arrived.
So happy to have log signed and back in place before their arrival.
Thanks Genyo.

Visited with KerriMG, wasn't long till Geomaddy had cache in hand! Sneaky hide
Ventured out here on my own today. This one has me stumped! Will seek backup and try again soon! B
**FTF** First to find. After a false start the other night I decided to come back when in the area and funny there is still no find, wow. OK well I found it pretty easy but it's a sneaky lil spot. Thanks for another ftf and thanks for the cache.
Drove for an hour for this one only to find the area secured with gates etc and no entry after certain hours, probably important information for the cache description??
Thanks Cantcacheus2014 for that! Sorry about the pain that must have been. I have added information about this to the description.
