Oh boy, this is a boggy area at the moment but we put our old shoes on and made for GZ. We think we checked everywhere but couldn’t find your cache.
Found It.......After a previous attempt we decided to stop and try our luck today. After trying to navigate our way in we finally made it over the bridge and to GZ where the search started but after 25mins and with time ticking away and the fact that we still had a 2hr drive to get home we were getting a tad frustrated, So a message was sent to a previous finder to push us in the right direction and soon enough there was the little bugger. So with the log extracted and signed we replaced it and continued our journey homeward. Thanks tackle head for the cache and bringing us here
Maybe it’s just me loosing my mojo I tried 3 times and no luck
Will keep trying though

It was a bit of a trial to actually find how to get into this place. The road was really bad due to heavy rain overnight. The ranger advised me to leave. There were plenty of 4xwheels going by spraying water. Looked and looked and then PAF. I then rechecked and found the clever little hide. Not the usual place when there is a welcome sign there. Well done tackel_head. Thanks for the cache
Heading home on a blustery day, I decided to quickly swing by here. Spot is a bugger to get to, so close to the freeway yet so far. Once here I soon realised it wasn't going to be easy, so got to searching. Kids were playing in the puddles nearby after soon abandoning the search. Tried a PAF, and had a vague idea yet needed better inspection. On a last attempt, spotted the prize just as Zade was climbing all through the car in muddy gumboots - noooo. Ah well, least got the cache. Thanks!
With the guidance of renowned local cachers, I finally located this tricky little container and signed the log.
It was little consolation to realise just how close, yet how far I had been to finding it previously.

Well, another fire season stationed in Werribee, another search for this cache, and hmm, another DNF.
I feel like I've inspected every inch of every sign, and every log at GZ, and still it eludes me.
I feel like I've inspected every inch of every sign, and every log at GZ, and still it eludes me.
While still caching in the area after logging a DNF here, CO sent me a message, confirming that I was on the right track. I went back & had a 2nd look & this time had the prize in hand. I should have had more patience & persevered! Tftc & boost!
3rd visit. All I have to say is well done. It was certainly well hidden and we were so far off the mark. I can honestly say we were up on the log down on the ground, rolling logs around, one even see-saws! On signs, poked holes, pulled and tugged. With some help from the amazing CO (WHOSE CACHES WE ALWAYS ENJOY!) We finally made our find! And it Certainly was a moment
Finally found this illusion cache with a little help was gladden to have logged this one finally.

No joy. One log is disintegrating, so there are lots of bits of rotted wood and bark spread around.
Came back a few times for this one! Finally found it! really well hidden! TCTC!
Spent 20 mins looking with no luck, area is very overgrown and logs have started to rot and fall apart which made it very difficult to look. Might come back after owner has checked to make sure cache is in good order.
*Found whilst out and about on a walk by the river*
Apologies for the **LATE** log - *Sometimes life just gets in the way Between house renos, COVID and life in general I'm just catching up on some late logs*
Managed to grab this one during Covid restrictions but this was within our 5km limit.
This had been on my radar a number of years so it was good to finally check it off.
Thanks for the cache tackle_head. Appreciate your efforts.

Hi there tackle_head.
This is the 1st of 2 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here but we just couldn't locate your cache, so here's a DNF from us.

Took a while to find, but we found it ( out on a bike ride with the kids). Thanks.
I had been visiting the Werribee Open Range Zoo and when finished, I checked for nearby caches. And while the nearest was a long way by road, I determined to head there, away from the urban areas I passed through. This cache was on the way but wasn't the one I was going for. I stopped for a look, but didn't see anything, so I kept moving. I imagine it's still there. My thanks to tackle_head for placing it.
Hmmm.... a typical Tacklehead cache that had me searching for quite some time. PAF was tried but still no success. After the nearby event I tried again with a little push from a previous finder and it still took some time.
Eventually spotted it.
Boy that was fun trying to get in here with all those road works. Again I should read cache notes as you did warn everybody.
THanks for the fun here today tackle_head

I was out caching with my sister and Crusty K9 today. After attending a nearby event, we continued and found this one. Tftc tackle_head.
Came along this morning to have a go at this one with ilook4geo. Was very doubtful about it, but decided to try anyway. Was very surprised when it was found in less than two minutes. The cache conainer was quite hard to extract, so got a tool from the car which made the job much easier. Realised on seeing the container and log that both must have been replaced since the last cacher looked.
Now two names are at the top of the new log which was carefully replaced in position before we left with big smiles. Thanks go to tackle_head for placing and maintaining this cache.

Came with goingplaces2 and found this one quickly. Everything looked new and log was soon signed. Job done! There were no muggles around while we were looking and signing. TFTC.
Spent about 20minutes trying to google Maps here but dead ends all round. Another time.
Another tackle_head find has eluded me... came here a few days ago chasing an anniversary find, only to be defeated, even after a helpful nudge from CO. Returned today armed with an even bigger nudge, after checking everything I could see that met the description I still left empty handed. Was cautious of not looking too hard, as previous logs have stated whats here is not in the greatest condition and sadly seems to be only going to deteriorate further. Hopefully the cache is still here intact and the issue lies with me. Thanks for a fun search nonetheless.
Its taken a couple of goes to find this cache looking in all the wrong place you expect it to be. Like so many before while looking at my gps i looked down and there it was
Well this took a little while to get to. After the second no through road we had a look at previous logs and made the correct approach from Newmarket road (thanks Boatie Tim). We took our time completing a lap of each object at GZ. No need to pull anything apart, just a need to look carefully. TFTC
14:53, 26 July 2017, #292, Out for an afternoons caching with Nicole_Louise in this area and we thought we would clear a few around here. I have been to this cache a few times with no luck and today finally success yipeee... I've looked at these two items several times and been over them head to toe and today after about 15 mins of looking I moved and then bam right in front of my face.. how have I not seen it before.. hmmm Lots of bark all over the place looks like others have been quite busy pulling bark off these to help look.. TFTC.

After a wonderful trip to Prague, Budapest, Vienna, through Germany and ending up at Amsterdam for a few days which included a trip to Burgee in Belgium and then the long trip home.
After adding a few more countries to my growing list of countries cached in it was back to reality so today a short trip to Werribee to grab a few caches and also the Event put on by the people planning the next Mega Event which will be held in November in Alexandra later this year in November.
Gee finding your way into this cache is just about as hard as the cache itself.
Ok two large logs and a large sign gives the hider plenty of scope of where to place the actual cache and in this case Steve has done another great job of making it very difficult for us to locate where he has hidden the container that took me much longer than I would have wished.
Well done Steve another well hidden container.

*Today we limited our target area to Werribee & Point Cook as there are more than enough unfound caches such as this one waiting for us.*
First stop - A consummate tackle_head hide. After an initial survey and look in the logical places we decided a methodical approach was in order. Not long after P-P made the discovery of a very sneaky cache.
It would seem from the surrounds that some seekers may have been very vigorous in their searching - if so, most disappointing!
**FEEDBACK TO CO:** Access now via Farm Road, not New Farm Road - see image.
Thanks to tackle_head for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

We had another crack at this after seeing that Tackle_head had confirmed that it was still there and then it being found soon after. We were surprised to see that the area had been ruffed up a bit since we were there a month ago. Burnouts nearby with the mud flicked all over the sign, and bark from the logs everywhere. It took is a good 20 to 30 minutes, but we eventually found it. Nice hide TFTC
This one eluded us and not from lack of trying. Another DNF for this cache and we wondered if it has been muggled. But then again, this is tacklehead!
My second consecutive DNF this morning, and I'm starting to lose my caching mojo with runs like these .
Time to head for the bush and hope for better luck!

Found about 20 meters sth from GZ with original log book inside. Didn't find anything at GZ after looking for about 20 minutes. Only found the original after getting interrupted by a phone call and my gaze wandered and spotted something off in the distance.

After reading previous logs I knew a thorough search of gz was going to be required if I was to get my hands on this cache. So I began a slow, methodical search. Then, my phone rings. It is my PAF returning my call from an earlier cache. As I explained I didn't need her help anymore I happened to mention that I was now searching for this cache. "Look", she said, "I'm just going to tell you where the cache is and save you significant time and frustration..." and so it was. TFTC!

I like that it's muddy out here and so I find myself back here again after a recent DNF and now that it's been replaced I knew exactly where to look. A quick find and then it's back to getting the wheels all dirty. Thanks Tackle_head.
Checked this cache while visiting , it was missing and now has been replaced .
All is good and is waiting to be found .
2 x TB visit .

Well, sort of found it. Found a likely location and phoned a previous finder for confirmation. Yes, nailed it but no cache. "Luckily" there was some dumped garbage nearby and I was able to fashion a new cache and log sheet to replace the obviously missing original cache. Signed the new log and on my way. Hopefully the CO will allow this find. Thanks for the hunt.
found. a few mtres away from location. was nowhere near the obvious place. tftc
Another Tackle Head cache that I can't find -
Youngest geokid loses interest very quickly when you have
to actually think & hunt for caches, so we only looked for about
10-15 minutes.
I'll be back.
Thanks anyway Tackle Head.

Doin' caches in Werribee today with redink. We found this cache on the ground. Signed the log and placed it in a logical location. Have notified CO to come and check it out. Tftc.
Last one to stop before ahead to home
We will come back more for other caches on river as the time went quickly.

One of those MMM how did I miss that moments today.
I was performing cache replacement on one I have nearby and detoured here on the bike for another look.
Well there it was in the first place I looked.
Go figure, well that's part of the fun.

On this our 2nd attempt, we sure did search the GZ area looking for a very clever sneaky hide and that is what we found after quite some time. We will give you a fav from us for the planning and implementation that went into doing this excellent hide.

Suscoe's last find of the morning as we wandered around the Lara and Werribee area on Australia Day morning.
We had found a few caches as we went and this one was soon in hand this morning.
We had heard a little bit about this and from the logs it seems that it was a challenge and so after a chat with another cacher we decided to approach this one with a patient search.
We were soon rewarded with a glimpse of something which turned out to be the well hidden cache.
Very pleased to be signing this log, thanks to tackle head for a cunning hide.
We have come to respect and look forward your hiding methods and this one certainly lives up to your track record.
Time to head home for a well earned lunch break.
The weather had been beaut this morning with some cloud, smoke haze and a gentle breeze with some sunshine at times.

After work I decided to take a ride on the treddly for a smiley.
My arborist skills had me more like a mechanic.
I evened PAF but could not find any trace.
I'm sure Ill return and find it and the usual Oh how did I miss that will happen.

Sorry for the delayed log, I'm terrible at logging and leave it too long then generally forget details. I say/think I'll do it later, but later is generally not the same day, or week, or month or sometimes even year....Such as this case. Apologies again. Playing catch up on a cold, windy Septembers day.
Thanks for bringing us here.
Cheers & T.F.T.C =]

A big group of us from geelong were on our way to do the Christmas lights virtual so thought we'd give this one a go. Had to scale the gate as it was closed off due to high fire danger. After a few mins cache was in hand and off we went. Hot muggy night. Tftc. Clever hide.
With a large group on our way to see the Wyndam lights. A few had a look for the cache but it was Geordiefamily who found the hide. Signed and replaced as found.

Found with Mrs Blue Duck but only after a heavy hint as this was the 3rd time I looked for it. Ingenious hide, very well camouflaged. There us no need for rough handling just careful looking.
I was a bit star struck at the recent Mega event - it was really cool to put lots of faces to so many recognisable names from logs on caches. So when I spotted Mrs Black and Blue Ducks I was extra excited as I knew they'd recently found this one. Without their VERY helpful hint (well, precise location haha) I doubt I would've found it yet. Seems third time really is a charm, albeit with 'help'. Thanks for the cache and the frustration haha
It's been a little while since we cached in the local area, so with a free day and great weather, we grabbed the geodog and headed off to catch up on a few. This one took a lot of careful looking, then another careful look and soon the geowife noticed something that we had missed on our earlier looks.

No luck for me today. not sure if it was the heat or the flys or just temporary stupidity but this hide was too good for me, and I eventually gave up.
Cheers anyway tackle head, I'll get back here one day to get my revenge on this hide.

No luck for me today here, but a win in discovering this area. I look forward to exploring the park further and returning to hopefully find this one. Thanks
Well, I probably should have looked at the difficulty rating and the cache owner before tackling this one. Not as easy as you might think. Not today, maybe another.

Like YiPpA, I wasn't having much joy with Eagle Rock - Daddy Cool, so decided I needed to familiarise myself with Tackle_head's style. After reviewing the other caches of his I'd already found and seeing one or two that might help, but no real thread going on, I thought I'd try some others, starting with this one.
Tricky, tricky. I tried the very obvious and quick (but not it) place first, then went for the less obvious, but more logical. After following the right idea in the wrong direction for a few minutes I soon had the cache in hand. I can see how this one would be easy to miss.

When I had no luck with the eagle rock either I was determined to find a tackle_head cache.
These few here seemed to have a little less difficulty
After a little bit of searching, I had the goods whooo hoooo.
Thank you so much for bringing me to this spot. I always wondered what was at the end of this road.

Found by Mary & David at 1104. We came here after a DNF at Tacklehead's "Eagle Rock" cache. Even Mary, with here dodgy knees tackled that terrain, but with no result. To our horror, this one took ages and seemed to be heading for a second DNF. We gave in and used a PAF, and it still took another couple of minutes. Freezing weather, but at least we have crossed off one Tacklehead cache today. Our thanks to tackle_head.
This cache was too tricky for Mrs. caughtatwork and I today. We check all the locations, except one which is presumably the one with the cache. We didn't get down low as the ground was very wet and muddy. We'll have to come back to this one some time in the future as it completely eluded us today.
First find of the day with Bazinga01 and Posho6. Took a bit to find this one as it is well hidden. Great little hiding spot now to take on a few more along the river.
