Velk cesta do Ocenie - den 36 - Wauchope - Dungog, New South Wales (280 km)Dnes byl den D. Pnm skoro kadho kaera je zaplnit si tabulku Jasmer, tedy odlovit keku zaloenou v kadm msci od potku geocachingu v kvtnu 2000. Mnoh z msc u ani nelze najt v Evrop, o esku nemluv. U pi plnovn tto cesty jsem se proto zamila na star keky v Austrlii a na Novm Zland a po verejm spnm odlovu keky Bravo Hotel z ledna 2001 mi v tabulce chybly u jen 2 msce kvten a prosinec 2000. Kvten je samozejm vyjmen, ale keky z prosince 2000 jsou vesms nronj. A na dneek pipadl prvn pokus o dosaen tto mety. Moc jsem se nevysilovala odlovem keek u cesty a stavila se jen u tech, kdy jsem stejn mla nutn zastvky na WC, a pak jsem z Motorway odboila na okresky do kopc. Msty byla cesta tedy sam serpentna, ale jela jsem pes historick vesnice dle mstnch pomr. Vesnice zaloen v roce 1826 je zde historicky vznamn lokalita. Pkn byla, ale je smvn, kdy si pomyslm, e m bval chalupa na Vysoin v tu dobu u 150 let stla. Dugong je dal takovou obc, ale jen jsem jm projela a mazala do nrodnho parku. Tch je tu vude kolem dsn moc, ale jsou to sp jako nae chrnn zem. O nrodn parky podobnho vznamu jako v USA se nejedn. Je tu vdy pkn proda a dn infrastruktura krom jednoduchch tboi. A k jednomu takovmu jsem dnes smovala. A do posledn chvle jsem si nebyla jist, zda najdu sprvnou cestu, neb logy popisovaly uzaven cesty a znien mosty apod. Nakonec jsem se drela rady jednoho kaera - je z msta na sever a v parku na vchod a tak njak jsem cestu nala. A k parku byla normln silnice, pak pokraovala valcha, kter se po nkolika kilometrech zaala mnit v rozbrzdnou lesn cestu s kameny a dokonce jsem musela zdolat brod, natst s upravenm povrchem a nzkou vodou. M pjen auto samozejm nem moc vhodn pneumatiky pro jzdy mimo zpevnn cesty, ale jela jsem opatrn a asi za pl hodiny dojela k tboiti v lesch v dolku s nkolika kami. ipka ukazovala, e ke je odsud 200 m, tak jsem si lebedila, e je vlastn drive in. No, skoro ano. To bych si ale nesmla poplst stezky. Mla jsem jt stezkou Probleme Creek trail a la, ale vedle znaenho zatku trailu jsem si nevimla mal piny, kterou okrun trail konil a kter byla ta sprvn. Po chvli jsem dola do msta, kde jsem byla asi 60 m od keky, ale mezi nmi byl prudk svah a ten problmov potok. No, kdy mus, tak mus, a j tu keku moc chtla. Taky m hodnocen 4/4 a j si ho plnou mrou uila. Slzt ten mal svah k potoku bylo dost vysilujc. Vlhk jl mi pod nohama ujdl a zachytvala jsem se lijn viscch ze strom, ty se mi zase omotvaly kolem nohou, no prost vivn. A to jsem doufala, e se chytm lijny a ne vischo hada jako ve filmu. I ten problmov potok jsem nakonec peskkala po kamenech a pak zjistila, e se motm dungl zbyten, e tu vede ta proklat stezka. Tm ovem dobrodrustv neskonilo. Ke je zakopan do zem a msto m bt oznaeno njakmi klacky. Tak klack se tu v dungli vl tisce a signl nebyl tm dn, take se ipka motala sem a tam. U jsem propadala panice, tak jsem se zastavila, napila vody a v klidu se zamyslela. A nala jsem utr a u nj poklepem do zem konen odhalila i plastovou bednu pod nnosem list a hlny. Parda, keka nalezena. Zalogovala jsem se, nechala tu TB, vyfotila si msto a te u po sprvn stezce se vracela k autu. Sice opt pes potok, ale to u byla pohoda. U auta se dostavil pocit tst, kter se umocnil, kdy mi pi jzd valchou zpt zaali hrt v rdiu oblben Led Zeppelin a jejich Kashmir a navc na tachometru naskoilo magickch ujetch 10.000 km. ist krsa. Po pjezdu na motel v Dugongu jsem dala sprchu, hodila prdlo do praky a odkrela se odmnit do mstnho nbl hotelu vee. Jehn kotletky i pivo mi sedly a j mohu spokojena odpovat. A kvten 2000 m ek pozt !Today was an important day for me in terms of geocaching. I'm still 2 months away from completing Jasmer and today it's December 2000's turn. The Frying Pan cache looked manageable, but I was a little worried about whether my car would make the trip and whether I would even find it. In the end, I didn't have to look for the way, everything is marked in the NP and the path was quite cool. Unfortunately, I mixed up the trail leading to the cache and made it much more difficult to find it. I climbed down to the stream, jumped over the rocks and then I had to find a cache hidden in the ground under leaves and dirt. It turned out well, the cache was found and I went back along the easy right lower trail. And look for a stone, not a stick! TB inserted. I am happy now ! On the way to this important cache I found some another like this. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Czech republic.

Sims_family and Dromaniax are on day Seven of a our 10 day trip to Queensland and back again towing a 12x8x7 foot trailer that is loaded to the hilt and weighs quite a bit. Fuel efficiency has gone out the window with the Ginja Ninja (My Orange Mitsubishi Triton) going through fuel faster than I have ever seen before.
Day seven sees us traveling from Stroud to Woolongong. Todays journey is a very light caching day with only a few caches found.
This was a nice quick and easy park and grab as we passed by.

Today is the eighth day of the Sims_family/Dromaniax big road trip to Queensland and back again.

We are towing a very big trailer, which was chockers, but when you have a mission, someone else is paying for the fuel, and there is the opportunity for nine days of caching fresh fields, you jump at the chance.

We have a long list of target caches and hope to cross quite a few goals off the list on this trip.

We were heading back south now, and the Trailer was significantly lighter.

Parked about 200m away, then did my st do dodge traffic along the fairly busy road. Cache was quickly found in the likely place and is in good condition.

We parked where it was suggested to do and felt quiet safe from any passing traffic. Hubby was the one needed to collect this cache as the last cacher had been very enthusiastic about how they placed it back. SL TFTC

We missed the parking spot for this, as it came up fast, so went a did a u turn, as there really isn't much space on the side of the road. Plenty of parking at the research station. Seems a strange place for such a facility. Cache was a quick find, being a regular park and grab. TFTC

Took a trip through Stroud today with goingplaces2 and found this cache on the way. Was able to park nearby OK. All in good nick, log signed. We continued with the hunt. TFTC.

Just picking up a few caches today with ilook4geo and our chosen route took through Stroud. This was a very easy find and signing duties were soon done. All was put back into place and we were soon on the move again. Our thanks go to partticularkev for placing this cache.

After attending a nearby colourful and fun event it was time for some geocaching. After leaving todays geocaching companions, Aussieben, Beary_Unicorns, Brother Colin and Kingfisher_au, BearyUnicorns and myself headed towards home, grabbing a couple of caches on the way. This cache was found relatively easily, log signed and TBs visited.

On our way to Kurri Kurri after attending The Hawaiian Shirt Event we stopped on our way to have a look for this cache.
We had our caravan in tow but we found ample room to park.

What a great area to go caching in. We are not familiar with this area and find ourselves here because of the event being held by Grub Fred in an area not too far away from here. Really love venturing out of these minor roads. Thankyou particularkev for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area

A quick and easy find as we drove towards Walcha and beyond on our first day of holidays. The start of our holiday was not too hot, the tail end, just oppressive 40+ degree days so we cut the holiday short. Still, 9 days was good!

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 10194.

A quick stop outside the university site and then a wander down the road. I couldn't feel really comfortable with this one with the logging trucks whizzing by. I made a quick find.

I was on my way to Tenterfield with an overnight stop in Armidale. I really like travelling The Bucketts Way as it is such a pretty drive. Of course, there were some caches to find along the way. My GPS put GZ at a pole but my geocaching nouse told me I should be looking a little further afield. My suspicions were correct and the cache was located. Thanks particularkey.

Saturday. Mr SP had been in Sydney house sitting for his daughter for the week. Now on the trip home, target for tonight: Glen Innes. And on the way, some targeted caches based on my intended route via Bucketts Way and the New England Highway.

Stopped in at the suggested convenient parking spot and headed for GZ, which was confirmed by the hint. Cache signed and replaced. Had the same observation as a previous poster: a flora research centre surrounded by weeds

This was the 3rd of 11 caches found on today's trip.
