Hint was off-putting. Flash of colour and earlier activity led me to the cache.
Found a few days ago with a friend. Very easy for him to find for his first time cachin', I was even barking up the wrong tree! TFTC.
Great spot. We found the cache but didn't remove or open it as it was being guarded by a stunning Huntsman spider. Photo for reference (Warning: spider). I love spiders and would be happy to handle him but don't like to disrupt their homes. Please be careful future cache finders.
Headed out in the geo-car for a few caches today while my sister are at work whom I am down visiting.
Decided to hit a few around Dalwood. Tried the hint but came up as loading…
Trusted gps and found the cache. Found 5mts out.

Our road trip continues and today we are heading north towards the coastal areas of Woodburn and Broadwater. Only a few more days before the madness of Christmas begins. Luckily we will have a few more days of camping out first. We got a nice spot on a property away from the highway and with no one else around.
Today I headed off to grab a few around Broadwater and then into Evans head. All done here, so I headed over to Dalwood area for a few there. This one had me a little confused as I was looking for a huge fig tree. The hint said loading, hmm and with a search around and trusting my gps I found the cache. A nice reserve parklands area.
I signed the log and returned all as found and then continued on my way. Thank you for placing this one here, all good.

Found today while out taking a small GCA/GC drive around the Ballina area, got a few trigs, some GCA trads and 2 GC trads on our small adventure. Had a lot of fun driving around this area which I haven't been to very much at all

We went for a relaxing drive this morning, chasing a few trigs and a couple of GA trads as we went. Last one for the day, we had a lunch deadline.... an easy find, all in reasonable condition.... TFTC!

Out and about caching today while visiting the area - what a fantastic place. Must come back again one day! Found the cache. TFTC MalDawg
Finally we found one!! Our list of did not finds was starting to get us down!! Thank you for the cache!!
A lovely man found it a few weeks and thought someone left their junk laying around so he took it home. Luckily he saw us looking for something while he was on his afternoon walk, and mention that he had taken it home! He walked home and grabbed it for us and we placed it back where the gps told us. How lucky were we that we just so happened to bump into the man who had it
MiniSmurf7 & MiniSmurf4 found the cache with Uncle Monti103 on 7.10.19. TFTC.
very happy to find....never new about this area so it was nice to bring family out for an adventure. Thank you kindly for the drive
Apologies for not logging last night when found. As we pulled up the GPS was saying cache was only a short 2m away from the car. In reading the title we figured we would look for the big fig. Spent a good 15mins looking for the cache in the completely wrong direction. We resorted to reading previous logs and realised that we were not looking where we should have. Off to the right area still came up with nothing. As we were about to give up I was sure it was here somewhere. I got my torch and had another quick look in the area that the hint suggested. "Are you serious guys!" I said with cache in hand, we had the log signed and a laugh to had as they really didn't see it. Found with monti103, callum185 and other members of Cape Byron Rover Crew tftc!
Found while on a geocaching holiday with tmann421.
Enjoyed the trip around and all the great hides.

Out on a road trip with the goal to reach a milestone find before dark. I had not read many cache descriptions before my trip today, so I was expecting a nasty hunt in a big fig at this one.
Time was tight today so the much easier find was much appreciated.

Staying in an Air BnB just 250 metres away from this cache so had to find it. Enjoyed the walk thru the nature reserve with its amazing trees. TFTC
After a week away, picking up my dog, and visiting a nearby waterfall, I headed on down here to see what the green triangle was on my map.
When I got there I discovered I couldn't let my dog out, so I just find the cache and headed home.
I will definitely be back to go for a walk here another day.

We set up our base at the Alstonville showgrounds and then spent the rest of the day geocaching around this very scenic area. Such a variety of locations including beautiful swimming holes/waterfalls and wonderful walks through tropical area. The puzzle caches kept us occupied and amused and we enjoyed the challenge. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. Thankyou MalDawg for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
Apart from the wildlife nearby, a diamond python and mozzies galore, we eventually found this cache snug in its resting place. We would never have come here if it hadn't been hiding a cache. TFTC
This is another nice place to go, recommended by the owner of the farm where we are staying. A shame the walk is so short, but the boardwalk and aboriginal stories are worth visiting. There is at east one fig still there which merits the "big" description. the original must have been massive. Thanks MalDawg for placing this cache so near to another great place to visit in this area.
I was out this way today, and decided to drop in and find the cache. Found it quickly and signed the log. The cache is in good condition - everything is nice and dry. Love this little patch of forest, and would have loved to have seen this giant fig tree everyone talks about!
Lismore -Ballina -Wardell & Return
Today we travelled from the inland to sea. Such a variety of landscapes, such beautiful countryside.
We have had 2 DNFs at fig trees recently without success, today the hide was not what we were expecting.
Picked up a TB here
Thanks for placing this cache MalDawg

Found, after the lovely nature walk through the remnant big scrub. What a special place! Was bridesmaid at a wedding here 10 years ago, and the happy couple are now happy parents of 3 TFTC
Took me longer than it should but I found it between showers. There are ants starting to form a nest around it. The cache contents are clean and dry though. Another day ticked off. TFTC
Next, Mr RoddyC and I made our way to this cache. It was nice to be in a shady spot for a while. The cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Caching around Lismore with Selva Girls.
Very shady and pleasant area, but i did pick up a tick but discovered it before any damage done.
Log signed and replaced at 4:25 pm on 4 November 2017. TFTC, MalDawg

While camping in Lismore for a few days with geodad Whitey Wiskas and geodog Scruffy, we just had to get out and find a few caches in this beautiful part of NSW.

Out for a day of Caching on this glorious sunny day. A quick find was had at GZ. What a beautiful scenic place. Many thanks for bringing us here. TNLN SL TFTC
Fourth cache of the day and my 2,000th cache overall. Only took me 10 years! Great hiding spot that almost tricked me.
A nice quick find at this location today while we are out for a drive in this beautiful northern NSW countryside. Thanks MalDawg for placing it for us and others to find. Glad we came here today. Cheers!
A very quick find today as we head down to Wardell. Must return sometime to check out the reserve. TFTC.
Visiting the area today with geo friends and enjoyed driving around this lovely and green countryside. Fig looks very impressive also, thanks MalDawg and TFTC
Nice spot and a great little walk , thanks for bringing us here MalDawg - Picked up Geo coin to continue on it's journey TFTC SL
Easy find. Lovely spot, went on the walk around. never knew this was here. TFTC TNLN
We decided to go for a drive on the Public Holiday and grab some local caches. We decided to head to Wardell via Wyrallah and try to find as many as we could before the rain started. This was our second stop for the day at 11:40am. Hubby found the cache quickly and we were back on the road to Wardell. We left a Geocoin that would like to visit the Original Stash Tribute Plaque - GCGV0P. Thanks for the hide MalDawg.
After a quiet walk looking for Snakes on the hottest July day on record for Ballina in the cache was found and TB left. ... And no Snakes....
We arrived here just before Sunday so had just enough time to check out this cool remnant forrest. We chatted at a picnic table till the mozzies started to attack.. then it was off to fund the cache.
I had a bit of an issue getting a good fix with the gps so checked the hint... it made no sense to me untill i spotted something interesting then it all became clear.
Thanks go to maldawg for bringing us here today and of course for the cache which we had fun finding.

Finally got out to this one and found it quite quickly. Its been on my list for a while now but it isn't on the way to many places. Great spot and a good hide. Thanks for placing the cache MalDawg..
Nice one the hint had me stumped due to poor phone reception until it actually loaded... FtoF FC

Out and about in the area before the Leap Year event tonight.
A short search before spotting this one.
Thanks for the cache.

Our 200th cache and a lovely aussie scrub setting for it.
We'd not been here previously although we live in the area so a new park to add to our local mind map.
Used the clue but it still took us a while to locate the actual cache. (either our GPSs or our geosense was off)
Eventually sat in the dirt and spied it,
T4TC MD!

The Big Fig may be gone there are still fig trees in the rainforest walk. Cache was dry after heavy stormy rains last night.
Not sure how we ended up here but we did, we started off go fishing but it was to windy so a drive was called for and of course when halfway to nowhere you go is there a cache nearby and yep there is, so a bit further and a nice find. TFTC
Found on a quiet Monday, thanks for bringing us here we never knew it existed. TFTC
Nice sneaky hide in a lovely location. Some fine examples of big trees. Thanks for sharing.
It pays to read the description as I looked everywhere for a big fig!! As soon as I ignored my preconceived idea of where the cache would be hidden, it was a quick find. I stayed just down the road from here for my 55th birthday at Deux Belletes. A wonderful place that provided bikes for guests to ride around the country lanes. My friend and I rode around the boardwalk in this little park. Thanks MalDawg for bringing me back here.
I had thought about placing a cache here several years ago but being on a reserve meant it was not possible.
This one, being just outside the reserve brings you close to a great spot for a walk.
Quickly found and signed.
Thanks
