But to soggy to bush bash this morning. Another time perhaps

15-Jul-18
My final cache for the day. Bit of a Bush Bush from the west to retrieve the booty. Tftc

03-Mar-18
After being mislead by the compass, we decided to backtrack and found another path through the sharp grass, spiders, thorn bushes and ants. Eventually, with enough bravery and persistence, we made the GZ and retrieved the cache. After evicting the bull ants, we found that the Log was full. A very hard cache in the end, but worth it. TFTC.

23-Mar-17
Heading over to do the McHoot series today with nikid1 while enjoying the last day of the old geocaching app.
Well we certainly made this one much harder than it needed to be! Made our way gingerly through the long grass & quite a few thorny bushes to get close to where my phone wanted me to be, although it couldn't really make up it's mind...
Searched here, there & everywhere whilst getting hotter & stickier & feasted on by mozzies & not finding the cache. Thankfully Nic ended her phone call & searched in a different spot to me & was soon calling out that she had found it. I made my way over to her & we signed the log & noted the clue.
Made our way back to the path via a much easier route with no thorny bushes involved!

Headed out for a day of GCing with my friend KerriMG and for the last time my trusty bestie that has been with me since I discovered GCing and that is the original geocaching app (I will miss you dear friend).

Got a phone call as we approached GZ so I stood looking around with no idea where exactly GZ was but just following KerriMG. Once I got off the phone I could look at my map and my phone wanted me a little more that way. The little more that way was correct as there was Faustine looking at us.

Clue noted.
The log is full and wet. Just manged to scratch a N & K on there

TFTC! Overgrown again, bring closed shoes

16-Jan-17
Ran the gauntlet of mossies, spiders and potential snakes. Made for the amusement of Geo nanny back on the main drag waving her walking stick at us and directing us. According to her she actually found the cache from the safety of the path! Anyway, LOG BOOK full! Tftc

Wow this one took me a while and then I saw it right in front of my eyes.

28-Nov-16
I came over to this one via Mintaro and the coordinates turned out to be very accurate for this one. I made hard work of it though, as I was searching a spot which I was convinced was going to be hiding the cache and eventually realising that the cache was not where I was looking I turned around only to be looking straight at the cache! [:o]
I like the way this one was set up, but a little exposed. Muggles not real likely to wander in here though I guess [?] There was a muggle wandered past nearby as I was searching, but I just pretended to be walking around talking on my phone, and he moved by pretty quickly Smile
Log signing duties completed, and clue for the final puzzle noted down, the cache was replaced as found ready for the next visitor Smile
That's all the caching I'm going to do today, as it's getting quite warm and I want to save the rest of the series for another day. Time for me to head home for some lunch Big Grin
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache dawsey321 Smile

Out and about today with RoddyC and DiamonJS for a morning walk around the Harry Potter series. Big Grin
After that, DiamonJS and headed onto the McHoot series. Big Grin I loved the little owls at each cache. Cool
And a very interesting puzzle at the end. [^] A shame the multi is not there. Twisted
Still each one is worthy of a fav pt. Cool
Thanks for the caches.

21-Jul-16
As I've read somewhere before, that was an ugly walk in through the undergrowth in shorts but it was a quick find with Faustine hanging upside down. I wasn't sure how to right her without the rest of the container falling out and she looked happy so I left her in peace. Of course the way out, is always easier hoot hoot love this series Dawesy321

A chance for the kids WillPunkey and the 2 year old to stretch their legs after shopping we found a beaten track to this one. thanks dawsey

16/4/16 Out caching with Marina25 and the semi-muggle kids today. Going to the CITO event but hoping to grab a few caches before and after.

The semi-muggle daughter spotted it quickly (I really believe she is a cacher but just doesn't want to admit it). TFTC dawesy321

Our target for today is the McHoots at Bulimba. Traditionals, a Multi and a Mystery. In the company of Team Benders.

OK - tree climb done - what's next? We were headed to Mintaro, but didn't like the look of the long grass, so we decided to walk around on the pathway to see if there was a better entry further on. In the meantime, we had walked right past poor Faustine! Oh no! Can we go back and get through this way? Seems like a bit of a geotrail - yep, here's a cache!

Found at 10.05am on 13th April 2016. TFTC.

13-Apr-16
Out with RoddyC for some caches.
We backtracked a little way and soon headed in to find Faustine.
Noted the clue and returned cache to how we found her.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks dawesy321 Cool All good with this cache

Enjoying the walk this morning. Always looks a bit strange to emerge from the bush as a lone male, just as some female dogwalkers are passing on the track. No problems finding this one.

Many thanks dawesy321

Visiting Chandler today and with a bit of spare time I thought I'd grab a few more McHoots!

After completing the multi I continued on to the next and once at GZ the cache was soon in hand and the clue for the final noted.

Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Found it. Takes a bit of bush walking here. Look for the orange ribbons. Found it with my niece Maui

19-Mar-16
It's been a while since I been for a ride on my bike so I decided to grab the bike today to do some caching. The McHoots series looked to offer a good combination of caching and riding so I headed out here. An easy to access cache with all of the landcare works going on around GZ. TFTC

06-Mar-16
Initial entry involved passing what I can only describe as s drug den!!!!
So retreated around the pathway avoiding muggles to find a more acceptable entry.
What a very pretty birdy. A pleasure to find. Tftc

21-Feb-16
GPS sent us on a rather unpleasant spider web trail through the bush before we stopped to recalibrate. I looked up from where we had stopped to see I was being watched by an owl. Tftc Smile

The Tiki Family out for a day caching on New Years Eve. The next find in our series ... not to hard, and a lovely marker nearby. TFTC.

09-Dec-15
No problems here when approaching from the West. Looks like local Landcare people are happy for her to stick around too. TFTC where all is cool.

26-Nov-15
Poor Faustine had fallen off her perch when I found her and was dangling by her tether. I couldn't see where she could possibly have been sitting. Maybe she likes hanging upside down. Either way, I left her where she was. TFTC Dawesy321

24-Nov-15
Finally some time that Dirk and I can spend together geocaching! Even if it is only for 2 hours after I finished a hard days work, we'll take it. The trip was made even sweeter as it is close enough to home that our puppa Xena could come along for the ride, and handle the terrain. As we approached GZ Faustine was easily spotted. Everything was in perfect condition, TFTC

17-Oct-15
Really nice chaching round with such a lovely story. Found all traditional today. We even walked through magpie territories but haven't been attacked. The corridnates were sometimes pretty of but the owls were never hard to find. Tftc!

17-Oct-15
Oh my goodness. My approach was a disaster. Once at gz i could clearly see a better, previously undiscovered approach.

07-Oct-15
With my second find I slowly recognised that I was looking for owls Smile

There were too many cobblers pegs to drag the kids into the grass so I left them on the short grass and headed on in for this one. I was going a bit in circles with the GPS trying to count down. I then spotted Faustine on her perch. She was very pretty indeed. TFTC. Our 2nd last owl hunt for the day.

19-Sep-15
This was our last one here for the day. Took the path to GZ and it did not take long to make the find. We added our name to the log and headed back towards the car. TFTC dawsey321

Out for a morning of caching with NurseyJulie.
Next on our walk, we visited Faustine, who, as we approached, we noticed, was waiting for us. We signed the log and gathered the information, before heading on our way

06-Sep-15
Having found Oriel, we made our way to Faustine. As we approached we could see her waiting for us to visit. Another clue duly noted and onto the next. TFTC dawsey321

Smilie #2555

We were away when this series was published so, having a couple of hours free today, I decided to come check them out. Smile
Not knowing the area well, or where the multiple paths here led, I decided to 'go bush' when the co-ords started climbing rather than continuing to fall.
53 metres later I re-emerged from the undergrowth at GZ & in clear view of open ground. Go figure! LOL ...
The co-ords had the jitters & weren't a great deal of help with this one so it was left to cache sense.
Soon had the little sneak in hand.
Left my mark & returned to the Geo-beast before moving on to the next target.

TFTC dawesy321 Smile

Last one in the series before the final. Big Grin

this one was another nice quick find. Thanks for a nice little series. I do hope none of them get washed away when ti floods next.

Not quite sure that I was going in order or not, but picked this one before heading down for the others. I wandered in and soon spotted what I was after, I got the clue and added my name to the log before replacing and moving on.

Again, took some time to spot but I got it. TFTC.

What a lovely day for a stroll in the park, not like a couple of days ago when I was covered in mud and very wet Razz Back with Genyo to complete the run here.

Wandered down to GZ and had that feeling that we were being watched... Creepy! What's this? An owl out in the morning and looking at me with its steely eye. Pic taken of the clue.

An easy find here and on we wandered...

TFTC Dawesy321, and your fine efforts in hiding this series for our caching pleasure Smile

Cool TFTC
Took me longer to put the log back in the cache than to find it

25-Jul-15
After Amy setup this date between Ms Maddy and myself we decided to head to this area to get these caches as these ones had not yet been found by Ms Maddy. Heading to GZ was lovely under the cover of the many trees. Once at GZ Ms Maddy took a little time to spot her. Smile

Owl 1 for the day found and log signed.

I saw this series come out last week and decided that I should start on a few to see what it was all about.

I found a parking spot which was away from the crowd and headed o this one as it was closest.

I came at it from the wrong direction and that involved some weaving through the bush only to come out into a cleared area.

The cache was obvious as soon as I approached and I soon had the log signed. It is always good to get an easy find to start the day.

TFTC.

Having a hoot with barbbowman and bubba_89 Cache #3. Having found Oriel and Alda, we headed off to visit the next member of the McHoots family. Faustine was not too hard to find, especially considering her partner came to a nasty end. She was quietly sitting there, just waiting for us to come along. She quite happily gave up her log for us to sign and we were soon on our way to look for Mintaro. TFTC dawsey321 Smile
