On a weekend getaway with rock n roll and birthday people. Nice little stop off on the way to goolwa for a feed. Birthday boy found once again. Neat little hide! Tftc
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in beautiful Port Elliot for a few days to cache the area. Heading to Goolwa on a cold blustery day. Very clever. Thanks for the find. LCNU
After a bit of a search and stepping back and thinking about it we were able to locate the cache. TFTC
Needed to stretch our legs so we headed down to Pt Elliot. Saw this had a lot of likes so we stopped here to see what was what. I hadnt got out of the Ute ( reading past logs ) when Mr Suelee called for the writing stick as he had cache in hand. Thanks Brad&Janet for this adventure tftc
This took us a while to spot. Very sneaky hide. Bullertrout and I are slowly making our way to Strathalbyn picking up a few caches on the way. TFTC Brad&Janet#16678
Paddle Chick and myself are heading to Murray Bridge area. Getting caches along the way and very hot today
1.11pmIn Adelaide to attend the Great Leap Forward event from Qld with geofriends and having a great time.Today we have headed to Victor Harbor and Goolwa to find caches on our must do list. Also got to catch up with an old friend while I was in the area. This cache took a while to locate. Checked all likely hint locations until hatzofff found the sneaky hide.. Log signed 6 for Qld.A fav point from me. Tftc
Travelled to SA to attend The Great Leap Forward with friends and cache around for a couple of weeks before heading to Canberra. Today it's off to Victor Harbour and signing all logs as 6 for QLD. This is my first time to visit SA so enjoying my travels. TFTC

TFTC smile 18251 out and about on a lovely day having a great time finding a few caches in Adelaide heading to Victor Harbour today signing as 6 for Qld Hatzofff Snickersallan RoddyC Imbunda and Patrol14 what a great team we made and lots of laughter and fun Thank you Brad&Janet for placing this cache for our enjoyment
You had us fooled here for quite some time. We looked and looked, widened the search and looked some more. We considered a PAF but didn't use on in the end. We'd said let's move on a few times but nobody moved.... and suddenly SSR found it.sneaky, nasty, clever etc! Thanks Brad&JanetThe usual trio of myself, stainless steel rat and Budgietas was joined by Tassie Trekkers for The Great Leap Forward trip. We decided to cache down south around Goolwa, Victor Harbour and extended reaches for a few days, before basing ourselves in Glenelg for the second half of the trip where we cached around the city, the hills and the Barossa Valley with a highlight being a couple of hours on Adventure Island. Many thanks to the Mega Committee, all the helpers and many local COs who kept up busy and entertained. Most logs were stamped with Team Tassie.
After doing all the other caches along the beach this one was added at the last minute, we made a bit of a meal of this one and it must have been 15-20 minutes before we discover it's secret. This was the first trip to the mainland for this group of Tasmanians in a while, we flew over on the 24th and left early on the 3rd. With 4 days in Goolwa followed by 4 in Glenelg we managed to get some caching done in different areas and pull in a select list of caches we all almost all needed, old caches were on the list as normal but also some different D/Ts with some high fav pointed cache making up the remainder. The trip didn't start well with Qantus losing a bag which made us rearrange a couple of days but we got some 4WDing in and a even some driving on the beach to get a couple of different caches, boat trip to Adventure Island was a great start on the day of the Mega too.All caches were stamped "Team Tassie" which consisted of myself, gooseandegg, Budgietas and Tassie TrekkersFound on 27/02/2024 at 16:16:00 thanks to Brad&Janet for placing this cache for me to find. Today is day 4 of our SA Great Leap Forward Mega adventure. Based at Goolwa, Mr T, Gooseandegg , Stainless-Steel-Rat and Budgietas concentrated on finding caches with appropriate D/T 's to fill their Fizzy Grids and this was one of them. We signed the log Team Tassie. We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty.Enjoyed caching in this area, cache and contents were in good condition and adding to our favourites. Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.
After completing the drive along the beach we relaxed and had a lunch at the accomodation before going out and finding a few more caches. This was one on the pre planned list and a few off the list. A couple of corker caches amount these that will get favourite points. Tftc
#2810 This is my day 266, and the longest physical cache find streak so far. I want to see how far I go. I am on a family vacation in Australia. After visiting Brisbane and Tasmania, now we are in South Australia.Today, we roamed around Victor Harbor and found some caches in the area.A quick pit stop on my way to Victor Harbor. Thank you for the cache!-crystaloops from Taipei, Taiwan @ February 25, 2024 10:24:24
Took a second to touch the right triangle! Lucky the others were well mounted. Haha.
By this time of the trip, we had lost the company of Micaparamedic as he had commitments but Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 and myself were making our way back to Victoria. This is one that was suggested to us and we were not let down. We were lucky that GT37 made as quick a find as she did as we could have been looking for this one for ages. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find, it is a definite favourite.
Team Crackers, Papi4506 and myself are slowly making our way back after touring Maralinga. This one came highly recommended and we know why. We were lucky to have found this as fast as we did and it was only a very small tell tale which gave it away. Thanks for a great cache.
Catching up with late logs.
Unfortunately half the team stayed in Western Australia looking after sick friends the other half headed home for his own doctors appointment. I joined forces with Geoturtle37 Papi4506 at Maralinga and we are stopping at caches that we passed.
This was a very interesting cache page that really hi lights how tough the laws were back then and how tough the early pioneers had it, being convicts or not.
We have convict heritage so we thought this would help in finding this cache. How wrong we were. We searched for a few minutes when Geoturtle37 said I got it, gotta love those words.
We added our names to the log and returned every thing as it was.
Many thanks Brad&Janet for informative cache page and the nice hide, a favorite point from us.

Took a bit of finding and the hint didn’t help until after we found it! Signed log with 4maal at 10:35am.
Thanks Brad&Janet
Thanks Brad&Janet
The art of distraction (the hint) led me astray here I then made a PAF but before he could get back to me, I found it.
The hint is awesome, leads you astray but is so true at the same time
Gets a favourite point from me

We headed to Victor Harbour today with the aim of seeing if we could see any whales. No whales today (at least that we spotted) but a few dolphins
As we were passing by this cache, we pulled over for a quick look. That was a really nicely hidden cache! TFTC Brad&Janet

We've had 2 lengthy looks for this cache without luck.
Time to log a dnf, sadly.

After logging the DNF we got a generous nudge from the CO.
As we were still in the area we stopped by on the way past and, sure enough, there it was nicely in place!
A definite case of cache blindness!
Thanks for the help and a clever cache Brad&Janet. Deserves a favourite.

Found during a caching foray from Victor Harbor to Goolwa. Sneaky hide here! Thanks for the cache Brad&Janet.
So glad to be able to pop a smiley here today after having cache blindness a while ago. Here for a few days with my wonderful long suffering muggle husband, staying at Marine Cove resort. Swear I looked close to the cache spot but definitely over thought it last time. Thankfully this time quite a quick find for a well hidden little cache. TFTC Brad and Janet. TNLNSL
Staying a few days in Goolwa, I was puzzled by the hint and then it alI made sense. TFTC and a fav point.
Good to put a Smilie here so easy this time round.
Have had a delicious Christmas day lunch at Chiton S.L.S.C. with my Brother & his wife.

Feeling very disillusioned. Second Brad and Janet cache unable to find. Not the best caching day today.
One night at Middleton with walking group, turned into 2 nights in the area.... just way too many green faces needing attention. Parked other side of the road and started spying for triangles.... saw a bike and immediately thought that clever COs had made a "triangle" to stick over the bike frame..... nup!!!! back to the car to re-read... across the road again, nup..... back to the car a further reread.... across the road again, afternoon officer.... and then I grabbed him. tftc.. hypotenuse is safe
Thanks Brad&Janet. Took a minute but found it quickly enough. Triangle not disturbed. TFTC
Today we enjoyed a walk around some of the streets of Middleton on a cool cloudy day.
Cache and log all good. Many thanks for the hide Brad&Janet….a favourite point on it’s way

This afternoon we had a few hours spare before the family dinner so set out to find a few caches in the local area with the time we had.
Total of 25 caches found.

Returned today with fresh eyes and a different outlook. Quick find, amazing what a sleep does. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC Brad&Janet

I lined this cache up to be my 450th find.... thank you Brad and Janet! Well hidden and I was happy to discover it. Favourite point awarded Thank you!
We were made of the right stuff to find the cache but not the right stuff to be convict ancestors. Mrs Kookacrews mum cant explain quick enough that there is none of that "bad" history in our family, but we are thinking that it would make for a much more interesting read on ancestory.com if there was a bit of a criminal past in there somewhere haha. Well maybe our generation is cementing a bit of a criminal tilt, both Mr and Mrs Kooka have been known to bring home the odd pen or paperclip from work.
Nice cache description, well worth the read, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year brad&janet and thanks for the cache. Found it, signed it and replaced safe, unsightable and sound as found. TNLN

Last time I was here a few weeks ago I had limited time and was looking in the wrong place. So I logged a DNF. On the way home I received a call from the CO who kindly described where I should have looked.
Today the daughter wanted to go surfing and thus I had another opportunity to stop and find this well hidden cache. And armed with my new knowledge it only required a few seconds to spot it.
Thanks Brad and Janet for the interesting history in the description and placing and maintaining the cache.

NyssaFlutterby, wombles and co, membsec and I were on a grand adventure along the Great Ocean Road, a trip that has been planned for us for a year. Found quickly on our way to Victor Harbour. I wish we had more remaining convict history back in Brisbane for people to learn of its past.
Log signed as QQ for all of us (NyssaFlutterby, wombles and co, membsec and I).

We are on a road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide on the Great Ocean Road (GOR). Membsec from Tassie, Nyssaflutterby, 1MinnieMoo and Wombles and Co all from Queensland. We met at the airport, late due to Jetstar’s strike (4 hours delayed for the Queenslanders) and then hit the road. We have a good selection of caches that we really want to get, so many in a short amount of time.
Day4
We signed the log book with QQ to save space and time. Interesting story about Brad’s family and a nicely done cache!

At the end of August Groundspeak wanted a seven day streak to obtain a souvenir and so I started streaking. Despite having bugger all caches within 20 kms of home I am still on that streak. I am also trying to fill in the calendar to have found a multi cache and a mystery cache on all 366 days.
Today I needed to find a multi cache and a mystery cache for the calendar and doing so continue the streak.
I was joined today by Hevwalker and Co. for a day south westward.
A very sneaky hide but managed to see a glimpse of colour.
Thanks for putting out and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Off on a road trip to the Silo Art tour Vic, Mildura, Goolwa SA, Maitland SA and then home via Murray Bridge, Naracoorte, and the Grampians, picking up some caches along the way as we see the sights. Our last day in Goolwa and having a look around the local area and picking up some caches. On our way to Port Elliott and saw this cache with a large number of favourites and decided to stop and check it out. Sent Mr Pooky to look so it didn't appear too conspicuous with the two of us standing on the corner, and he came up with the goods, A very sneaky hide TFTC .
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
After our house sit in Willunga, we are on the road again, filling in time before we go to Kangaroo Island on 1 Nov. Moved on to Port Elliott/Middleton today for a spot of caching. Just finding random caches as we drove around the town and hills.
Sneaky hide, but clever. Thanks Brad&Janet
