Find # 16068Down in Melton to hit up some caches and Adventure Labs. But main reason was to go motorbike helmet shopping. After checking out a couple of bike shops in Melton, I headed around town grabbing ad labs. But then decided to head to Keilor to check out a few more bike shops... With shopping done I headed back to my original plan, "cache around Melton" but with the detour I was able to add a few other finds to my day.Quick grab, but took ages to safely chuck a "u"ie to head back to another find. TFTC geniejoan
Driving by, I stoped for a quick unwrap and rewrap of this gift and then continued on my journey.
On the way from Ballarat to Sunbury for this morning's event and stopped off to grab this one. No issues at GZ and the log was soon signed. Thanks geniejoan....cache all good.
Haha I get it. Clever. Thanks geniejoan. Took longer to cross the road than to find the cache
*Intervening Days 2023 Adventure #7*I've been to the Intervening Days CITO, but I've ducked away for a couple before the Social Event.Found it, got it, wrapped it again. It's like reverse pass-the-parcel.Thanks heaps, Geniejoan!
Great cache. Loved the name and the hide. It was well thought out. FAv point for us. TFTC
I left a present.
Found on a trip to Mexico City from the town north of the border….

Grabbing a few caches on the way home from caching in Sunbury and Diggers Rest today. Great hide. TFTC
While staying in Melbourne we picked up a few caches in the area and this was one of them.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

After attending a CITO at Hopetoun Park we headed back on the highway for Melton to cache for the afternoon with RoamingHowie.
We decided it was safer to park on the opposite side of the road and walk across rather than do a uturn on the busy road.
Thanks geniejoan for the placement.

We have arrived in Melbourne to attend the MEGA Event at Whittlesea, so of course we came over a few days before to do some geocaching first!
woolwood9 and I had a good time and this was a cache we located.

Had to make a trip to the airport today so decided to do a few caches on the way home. My usual way through Sunbury was held up by a traffic accident so i looped around via m80, found a new lot of caches to tackle and away i go. This is another nice cache in great condition, thanks
This was the last cache we found today on our trip back from the aptly named Winton Wetlands. It was pretty cold, and the rain was driving as we stopped in the nicely placed safe parking spot to pick up this cache. Mr. Dromaniax was the one to brave the conditions and was cold and wet when he arrived back at the geomobile A'Tuin after a successful find. The muggle who was broken down probably thought he was heading into the trees to answer the call of nature. The cache was found quickly; it is incredible how cold driving rain can act as an incentive to find a cache quickly. The cache was nice dry, and in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache geniejoan.
Having managed to wangle a bit of time off we decided to head to Ballarart early to grab a few of the geo tour caches before going to the events tomorrow.
With a new lab out in the area we took a slight detour to Sunbury and then had a great time picking these up as we wandered our way back to the other freeway. This wouldn't be a bad road for revenue raising being basically a country road with only an 80k limit that drops down to seventy. It wouldn't be hard to get caught if you weren't paying attention.
We couldn't believe how long these caches have been out and we left it so long that half the series has been archived but a t least we got these four today and our name has been added to the logs.
Many thanks geniejoan for these caches.

Plenty of room to park.
Indeed.
That is always a good idea.
Especially since I am driving a 10t truck.
- - -
On my way to do a few deliveries in Melton.
The GPX file loaded into my truck navigator showed a few points of interest along this section of highway.
This one won me over.
Plenty of parking.
A gift wrapped treasure.
A nice short walk and an easy find.
Such a shame some people think that it is ok to dump their trash on the roadside.
Carefully navigated through the rubbish to GZ.
Thanks for the cache geniejoan.

We were on our way to Melton to look for some targetted caches and stopped along the way to look for a few caches. This was one we found.
We followed our GPS to this hide spotting the exposed cache container as we approached. The gift had lost its wrapping. The container and contents were in good condition. After signing the log and putting the contents back in the box we looked round for some replacement wrapping. Fortunately at this time of the year plenty of suitable wrapping is available. After selecting some appropriate sheets we rewrapped the gift box and placed it safely in a secure spot.
Thanks for this interesting little cache geniejoan. We loved the wrapping idea and hope other finders will continue wrapping.

On way to Melbourne for a nieces wedding but detour on way caches and to pick up daughter and hubby off of plane TFTC
Name didn't make much sense. But found it in perfect order. Thank you for this find
A nice quick find here while making my way along C754 to my intended destination. TNLN SL TFTC
We love this type of gift wrap though the cache has been unwrapped and the lid appeared to be missing. A brief search of the area around the wrapping tree resulted in the lid being found and reunited with its container. We wrapped it as intended and returned it into the arms of the tree.
Another day caching in the countryside after attending the Parkville mega, we stopped here to grab a few caches on our way home.
A quick find, SL then returned as found.

Great spot for a cache, pity about all the rubbish around. Next time I will bring rubbish bags and gloves. TFTC.
Found this one a while ago, haven’t had a chance to log in. Nice little cache. All clean and dry.
On a drive to collect our grandson for the second week of the school holidays, we had this one all wrapped up. Thanks geniejoan
On our way back to Adelaide we wanted to find a few caches and were very happy to be able to pick up this series. None of the traffic paid us any attention. A quick find at GZ. TFTC
Clever clue! Thanks for this little series was a nice way to spend the afternoon xx
Have known about these caches for sometime after having already completed a few in the series. LeeLee planned some time ago that New Years Day, bright and early, would be the day to get the remainder as the road will be a lot quieter.
After the snooze button was hit a few times, LeeLee rolled out of bed to chase the cache while Crackers was already at work.
Last cache for the morning. Need to save some to fill in the calendar for this years goal.
Beautiful wrapping paper. Cool idea.

Last day of the year and a souvenir on offer, so out hunting I go. As a bonus, I only needed to find seven today to round me out to 600 for the year. I had a nice plan to do it all around Eynesbury, which went south when my CX500 went onto reserve on the road into Eynesbury. Not knowing whether there would be fuel in Eynesbury or not, I changed plan and cut back on the number of caches I'd hunt here and find the rest in or around Melton.
After filling up at the first servo I found between Eynesbury and Melton I plotted a course for home that would take me past enough caches to get me up to 600 for the year without spending more time than I had available. The RRR series (or three thereof) were along the perfect path home. Well, almost perfect, I was counting them down rather than up, so on the wrong side of the road.
I pulled up and parked a bit short of this one and had a bit of a walk to get to GZ. One very nice Commodore driver pulled up and asked if I was OK. Once at GZ, it didn't take long to find the cache, unwrap it, sign the log and re-wrap
The cache is in good condition.

Today we were out and about with Neville_devil and Ausfox; our plan was to grab as many mystery cache as we could to help us with the Monthly Mystery challenge.
With no more solved mysteries left for us to find we turned our attention to other unfound caches in the area. with the day ending and darkness fallen we decided that we would start heading for home and decided that going home along the Melton highway to grab this series would be the way we ended the days caching. Thank you geniejoan for the series

The plan for today was to grab as many Puzzle caches as possible with Simsfamily and Neville Devil through Werribee, Williamstown, Sunshine and everywhere in between.
As we had exhausted the puzzles in the area we continued on with Trads.
On the homeward stretch now after caching for 12hrs, just one more before calling it a day.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache geniejoan

Needed a few caches to round out the months' finds, so I headed out along the Melton Highway.
A nice cool day for a few caches, although the road was busier than I thought it would be.
A nice present for the final cache in this series.
Carefully rewrapped for the next person.
Thanks for this nice series.
Thanks, Robmc.

*It is always interesting to visit areas on the Western side of Melbourne, which were an important part of life pre-caching days. The memories were revived and we were amazed at the changes. This is one of the caches we found en-route to a very special activity in Melton.*

Hi there geniejoan.
We found your cache **"RRR #8: Gift Wrapped"** at 11:34:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 16186).
Our plan today was to take our granddaughter Eden on a spur of the moment geocaching trip around the Melton-Bacchus Marsh Area. we would have gone further, and perhaps done a few more caches but the GPS wasn't loaded with all the caches we needed (So we will have to complete the RRR series another day). On our trek we found a variety of wonderful containers - and ended up finding 8 caches with 0 DNF's.
Thanks for placing these caches here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 5m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
