Nice easy find. Great little village. We had a nice morning tea at a cafe in the air con- temp showing 38 degrees outside. Impressive war memorials and beautifully kept gardens. Thanks for bringing us here. Undercover Duo.
**# 25628** Found on our 2019 winter escape trip to Qld with Mrs Roosta.
A perfect Spring day for a drive around the countryside while at Toowoomba.
Hardly any muggles around and mostly good safe hides.
Thanks for the cache FiremanHotdog,

Doing a bit of cacheing at night. Aboard flew out and scared the something out of us
Return visit with a geo-friend. Cache tossed on ground and exposed with pencil nearby. Careless
Found with Touchstone7 on a trip out west of Brisvegas. We were up visiting my father and decided that a little side trip around an area I haven't really been to could be fun.
And of course, there were caches.
Thanks for the cache and sorry for the late log. Sometimes life gets a little hectic

Enjoying the qld winter taking a short break west of our father's farm, soothing our need to explore.
Drawn by the idea of a Lilly wall Genghicat and I found ourselves checking out the nearby shops and pub. It's a beautiful little town, much moreso I expect when in bloom.
The cache was quickly located and is in good condition. Took a quick sunset photo.

I don't entirely know how I've not found this geocache before, having been coming through 'Australias Picnic Town', or as I think of it 'that town with the jacaranda seats and the licorice library' for three years in the annual event out of Crows Nest. Maybe we've just always been in a bit more of a rush.
Maybe this year was a bit different, or a bit slower. I was in the motorcade/convoy/vehicle caterpillar wending it's way from Crows Nest to all-over-the-place during the [Rural Safari 2019](https://coord.info/GC885H9). I wasn't looking for waypoints myself, we had Pprime navigating. I wasn't driving either, we had Fangsoki doing that. I wasn't even looking on any device for geocaches, but La Kedi in our car was. Come to think of it, was I doing anything but holding down the fourth seat?
With a waypoint in Goombungee, Team Canyonero pulled up and did what needed to be done. I wandered to my preferred cafe for a sausage roll, a toasted sandwich and a really hot coffee. Prime and Fangsoki sat down to solve the puzzle at the other cafe (which we later found out they made an error in which may or may not have lost us a few points and first place for the event). And La Kedi wandered up the street to this geocache. Munching my sandwich and trying with limited success to not spill hot coffee onto other arm, I headed up the road too.
There certainly is a bunch of weird stuff going on up this street. Aside from the licorice library, the art gallery opening, and the statue I'd not noticed before, was the pastel technicolour display in a front yard and someone hard-parked PT Cruiser. Onwards we walk. As I arrived at GZ, La Kedi was just putting the geocache back. With nobody around on this weekend sure made it an easy find.
From there we walked back to the cafe to rejoin Fang and Prime and head off on more adventure. My hands were full and I'm annoyed I didn't get a photo of the odd sights of this town. But the signs for the public toilet always make me smile. Thanks for this geocache and bonus smiley for the day, FiremanHotdog

Teaming up with Slow Puncture and Orange Crew for the Rural Safari this was the first time for ruzzelz. We got a reasonable time for the roll off and with Mr Slow Puncture at the wheel and the rest of us trying our best to spot clue and provide advice to our rally drive on appropriate routes we were soon well advanced in the pack and hence rarely found ourselves eating others dust.
Along the way we found a visual clue or 2 but not a lot, stopped for a cache or 2 in the immediate vicinity of our chosen track and managed to sneak off track into Blackbutt (well one must have coffee and cakes.)
Enjoyed the day out and about in the Crows Nest - Cooyar area and sure hope the poor folks up there get some rain this spring as the country is very dry
This cache popped up along the way so we were forced to stop.

Saturday. Out on the Safari 2019 trek and we stopped as Ruzzelz hadn’t found this one. We re-signed the log anyways since we were here.
Thanks ***FiremanHotdog***, for showing us this interesting place.
We had found this one before, so we were visiting with TBs.

We are staying in the Caravan Park for the Rural Safari 2019.
Thanks to the Event organisiers.
We met Mickeyspikey here, so we went together out for the Safari Rallye today. We had lots of fun and enjoyed the day out in the country!
We took the time for the one or other cache on the way.
Whilst doing a puzzle and having a coffee, we went on a walkabout.

WallabyTim and his long arms found this one whilst Mrs Wallaby waited in the car with a busted ankle. As I waited, I noticed the presiding pastor of the Lutheran church and from memory, I believe it was Pastor Pukallas who officiated my Grandmother's funeral. TFTC

No luck here for us today. We read the past logs and saw that the co-ords are out and then fround one that told us that closer to the sign would help, then we found a log with a better set of co-ords. Still no luck.
Checked all 4 bushes could not find. Needs to be checked hasn’t been found since April. How many DNFS since then and now not recorded
Yikes! This must be a new record for dodgy coords. Try about 25M SSE from posted coords in fork of large bush.
Sadly, the last name in the logbook before mine is Guddink whose sudden death in early January was a massive shock to his large family and friends in the Geocaching community. Art logged this cache when attending the Rural Safari with Aussie Liahona.

Out with Stortigirls, her muggle fiance and his son, we pulled up and I felt a lil uneasy looking around this place probs cause the neighbour was so close. After a lil while he popped his head out and said the one and only word we wanted to hear. "Geocaching" he said and we both breathed a sigh of relief and said "yes, yes we are". He pointed us in the right direction and we soon made the find. Its funny cause when we first walked in the gate I had a feeling it might be where the guy directed us too, however we chose to follow the gps. Should have followed my geo-senses as usually they are on point. This one is about 30m out so coords do need adjusting TFTC
Stopped to make a find here as we had used the amenities down the road and it seemed a same to leave a green box behind. As per the previous logs we were in all the wrong places, when the neighbour came out "geocaching?" he asked. He pointed us in the right direction, telling us it was his son's cache. The cache was in hand soon after and we added our names to the log. Tftc FiremanHotdog
Again, as per previous logs, coordinates out by about 25m. Just chose the process of elimination and by the 4th spot we had the cache.

Where to go on fathers day? My friends suggested the local pub out here and we were not disappointed. The best way to cap off an afternoon is to find a cache so we looked at the map and spied this one.
We tried to be discrete but the kids were too exited and made a lot of noise. I spotted someone in the nearby house and thought we were sprung. He quite kindly said "you can come in if you are looking for something" I can only guess he has seen many other strangers poking around in the past.
WillPunkey retrieved the cache, we made some swaps and were on our way.
Thanks FiremanHotdog FP given

Trying to fill in our calendar by found date is starting to get a bit tricky with few local caches left so Kestal and I took the opportunity of the weekend to go for a short drive to make a find. Thankfully very quiet today. All good here. Thanks FiremanHotdog.
This one has been sitting in my nearest for quiet some time but with the distance I have not gotten around to signing my name in the log book. After a DNF else where this morning Eskies5 and I decided to head out to this one hoping for a quicker find in this heat. Luckily we did and I have not filled in another calendar day. Very cheeky. Tftc. First spot we looked wasnt successful. Close to the kindergarten sign was bingo.
Found it!! Have taken info sheet to dry and return. Left a trackable for next finder!! TFTC
Great to see another cache in Goombungee, and after speaking to the Lutheran pastor at an event tonight, I think I understand the background!
I figured the cache might not be at the exact coordinates so it was actually a fast find, though still a little tricky to reach.
I recommend the South coordinates be +0.010 i.e. 094.
All is good inside so TFTC!

A day out was planned with Slow Puncture to find as many of Queensland's oldest caches as possible in a single day trip around the Darling Downs today.
We passed through Ravensbourne, Crows Nest, Carbalah, Meringandan, Kingsthorpe, Goombungee, Haden and Yarraman on our adventure, finding 8 oldies and a total of 26 caches during the 540 km drive .
We weren't sure where the GPS was leading us, but with some searching the container was quickly found.
This cache is in OK condition, and makes smilie #2863 for us. Thanks **FiremanHotdog** for showing us this spot. Discover our code TGQNRV, and mention where you saw it.

Thursday. It was an early start for both Orange Crew and Slow Puncture as were out today to collect some of the Oldest and Finest as well as other caches that came along our way.
A bushy find with this one and quickly located, signed and replaced. Nice and neat church and I don’t think I’ve seen too many gates like this one for ages.

Found with Mum as 'Jess & Caro' but now I have my own geocaching profile we are sorting my logs for caches we found together. TFTC!
Walked down to this after exploring other parts of the town, not exactly accurate co ords but it was found reasonably quickly.
Day two of the trip and the weather was not cop-operating. No way I was going on a hike in this rain.
Not too many caches about, but with our super chauffeur T-Tech, IolantheK and I were kept entertained for the day.
After a long wet hunt at the last one we were happy with a fairly quick find here.

Quite a difficult one given the locals were partying right out front. We managed to use distractions to avoid suspicion! Thanks for the hide.
After some recent international geocaching jaunts it was good to be back on Australian soil. I took the opportunity to visit Base Camp Fungus and meet up with Swellerfungus, who was camping out at Crows Nest National Park, to grab a few local caches not yet on the found list. Rather an uncomfortable search at GZ with the neighbours sitting on the verandah and the kids playing in the yard. While Swellerfungus did his best to draw attention away from the hunt, I eventually found the container and made the grab thankfully out of view on the hidden side of the hide. TFTC
Not logging a DNF on this one - searched for a while then used previous logs to no avail.
I certainly wouldn't be too impressed if I was the pastor of that church with random people wandering about the church yard. The cache coords are obviously way out, and quite possibly the cache is not there.
This one needs a bit of a rethink.

Find #1698 at 16:46 with MissGeosie and artemidorus1 during Cycle Queensland 2015.
Wanting a cache for the day for me, and seeing this one only 500m from camp, MissGeosie and I invited artemidorus1 (who accepted) and midmy7 (who declined) to accompany us.
The coords are quite a long way off for this one. As we widened our search, a curious passing muggle approached to see what we were doing. My explanation of "we're playing a game, someone has hidden something around here for us to find" was met with "oh, you're using a GPS?" "yes, we are!"
The muggle seemed satisfied with that and happily wandered off down the street, and we resumed our search. It wasn't long before MissGeosie called out "I've found it!"
Sure enough, she had, but I had to reach in to grab it. While we signed the log I took some coords from as close as possible to GZ; I've attached the result.
Thanks for the cache, FiremanHotdog.

Went to the event in Toowoomba today as well as finding a cache and decided to come home this way and have another look. Parked in the marked space opposite the small gate and followed GPSr towards GZ and I still have it in the middle of grass. The dog net door was watching intently but not making any noise. Walked back two trees and there it was just looking like a piece of rubbish off the ground close to the trunk of the tree resting on a few branches. Left a path tag. Co Ordinates that worked for me S27 18.093 E151 51.130. These were taken from inside the branches and probably not real accurate either.
