Stopped off on the way home from picking up our new puppy. Needed a break and an easy cache for the day.
On our Australian trip . After travelled from Darwin to Perth over the GRR, now on the Eastcoast .Starting from Cairns first headed up to Port Douglas, then back south direction to Sydney .After enjoying Airlie Beach once again we hade an overnight at the Platybus Camp near Finch Hatton .A nice one for our short break .TFTC# 17'846
Out for our geo weekend to get points up for the Cosmic questGPS had us searching all around before we finally found it
Bisoutje and I are on a roadtrip between Cairns and Adelaide with a campervan. On our way south there's a lot of kilometers between ourselves and our destination. It is crucial to take a break from driving every once in a while, and it is perhaps even more crucual that these breaks happen at places where there is a cache hidden .This was a quick find, despite the camouflage.TFTC!
As we just left St Lawrence and are heading south to home. Brisbane. We couldn't drive past without checking this one out.. Gotcha. TFTC
TFTC smile 20204 out and about on a lovely sunny day heading to Mackay to see grandson and great grandchildren Thank you Nedandmrskelly for placing this cache Waverley 2 for our enjoyment
Nice quick one here and thankfully no trucks so we werent in the way. Found after we stopped at the parking area for lunch. Great place, lots of shady spots. Had blue-faced honeyeaters and butcher birds almost eating out of our hands! In fact the butcher birds tried to steal our lunch. *The generic bit for this trip*We are on now on our way south after heading north for warmer weather. From Cooktown back to Notth East Victoria, weaving inland and to the coast, caching as we go. No real plans, just taking each day as it comes and enjoying the adventure in our converted ambulance. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.
Stopped to have some lunch and stretch the legs thought Id jump on and see if there was any caches around and there we have it a quick easy find before getting in the car and on our way to the leap hotel TFTC!
Found with Youban and AddictedGammer. Quick find on the way from Mackay to Childers then onto home. Nice quick find. And good to use the facilities too. Tftc!!!
Stopped on our way to Rockhampton after leaving Mackay. Made a tooty break and a cache catch Kutgw
FINALLY.....after stopping by every time I found it. Sneaky sucker!!! On my solo trip while Boothy packs the house. TFTC it deserves this fp

Found with Sea Reason, but forgot to log it until now. Thanks for the cache.
Heading south and stopped here for a break and a cache. Coordinates were spot on for me and a quick find was made. TFTC.
Van Rockhampton met omweg langs Mt Archer naar Waverley Creek. Onderweg deze cache gelogd. TFTC.
On our way from Rockhampton to Mackay we had a short break here and looked for two caches. This one we found.
Greetings from and thanks for the cache.

Staying at the rest stop overnight on our way to Sarina Beach. A quick find here as I had seen this type of hide before. Thanks for placing a cache here for our enjoyment.
After stopping to enjoy a Coffee Break, it made sense to have a look for this cache.
Checked out a few likely spots before spotting what I was looking for. Found a space to add our name to the logsheet.

Quick and easy find, needs a new log if you happen to be near the area, was lucky no truckies about.

Great truck stop, just the amenities are a bit far to walk for some. Cache is closer to the road than it might seem, nice hide.

This was a reasonably quick find made all the more worthwhile by the look on my daughter’s face when I grabbed it as she is usually a very reluctant Geocacher. Loved this hide. TFTC
After seeing one of these previously. I had an inkling of what it could be. Alas i was right. My Co-ords were off by 5m or so. No need to go into gully or to the trees.
Not a find for us today. The grass is a bit long and too many creepy crawlers for masters 5,3 & miss 2 to deal with today. Maybe next time! TFTC
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 111. Clairview to Lotus Creek. Today was a run up a steep dirt road to get to Lotus Creek. Once their, I could settle into one of the well grassed sites down by the river and go out for a late mornings caching along the old highway visiting Australian Army caches until I reached the number I wanted for the day. The afternoon was spent in front of the fire the hosts keep going for visitors.
The first cache of the day was a short detour down the Bruce highway to a very big rest area. The cache was right up the truck end, as the highway patrol for trucks was there, I decided to walk down from the car end. A quick find on an expected cache type at GZ.
Thanks for the cache Nedandmrskelly

A slow trip between Rockhampton and Mackay targeting a few random caches along the way to break up the drive. A really good rest stop where we have previously spent the night in our caravan ‘Sunday’, we found the cache signed the log and replaced it.
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

Nice quick find since I’ve seen these many times before.Log was a bit wet today though. TFTC.
GZ was on the grass for me. I wandered about looking for the stated 'small' sized cache; even going up the embankment. DNF!
Very clever cammo, it took us a while. Part of the log is damp but the witr paper is ok. Tftc
This took us a bit longer as we were looking for a small container. Tricked us. Quiet end of a lovely rest stop. Impressed with facilities here. TFTC

I found this in the pouring rain so I signed
It back in my car to prevent the log sheet from getting wet. The clouds threw my GPS off at first and had me looking in the wrong spot. The poor snail in the attached photo got the fright of its life when I picked it up thinking it was the cache.

It’s Mega time once again!! Woo hoo!! Love these epic road trips. After an amazing drive up Canberra - Narromine - Cunnamulla - Blackall - Winton - Charters Towers - Townsville. We had a blast at the main event. Now it is time for the trip home - with the plan being chances to explore Bowen, Rockhampton, Emerald, Roma, Lightning Ridge and Dubbo. Will see if the April rains and flooding detour us! Thanks to everyone in the region for the top quality caching. Appreciate your efforts.
Day 13 of our trek to the Townsville Mega and back with fitzy_1965 and two of my geo-kids Death_killer & my_name_jeff_1.
Our aim today was to get to Gladstone for the night but more importantly was to drive back up to Mackay and a little west to see if we could find my grandfathers unmarked grave. After a successful mission we continued south. Not too many caches found today but made use of our time by ensuring we collected the counties we drove through. Another nice caravan park found this evening.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. Thanks to all the CO’s.

27,896. Found with minniek during our Grand Townsville Trek up to CacheQLD's Townsville Mega Event over Easter.
Day 13 of our Townsville Trek, and we drove from Sarina back up to Mackay for some family business, then south down to Gladstone for the night. We only found 8 caches today, but importantly we ticked off a few more Counties and found a lost relative. This next find of the day we stopped here after our lunch break - and it actually took a few minutes looking in the wrong spot before minniek spotted the obvious. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued along to the next cache on our list.
Thanks Nedandmrskelly !!

Caching with my main squeeze, Oddiewan, BitternA4 , and our geo pup. We are passing through after attending Townsville Mega.
Pup wanted a leg stretch so we stopped over the other side. This is a real clean rest area and well manned for this long weekend. Nice and roomy for us and the caravan.
Thanks for the fun, Nedandmrskelly

Working my way north, collecting a few smilies along the way, stopping at caches for either a requirement of caching or a requirement of a leg stretch. Some had some good reasons for a stop and some interesting placements.
This was a quick find and at a nice little stopping area. I parked right next to the cache and made out I was doing work in the back of the car , lol. Thanks for the cache, I signed the log and the cache was replaced as found. Very quiet around here today, just a couple of campers at the other end.

Stopped in at the rest area for two reasons, both are caches, and had to make my own coffee, but did find this little hide where the last finder did, all is in good condition today, Thanks Nedandmrskelly

Heading north for the Townsville Mega, taking 5 days and finding caches along the way. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches to show us more of your local area.
Day 2 of our trip to Townsville for the MEGA Event with TMZ59, Peppa and Patrol14. We had a few stops for a variety challenges and this was one of them.
It didn't take long before Patrol14 had the cache in hand and the log was signed by all before reading as found. TFTC

Second day of our trip to Townsville for the MEGA and we (Peppa, TMZ59., Imbunda and I) are heading to Mackay. Had to stop here to grab this one for some challenge or other reason.
Impressive car park and facilities here. Found the cache quickly. SL then returned as found.

This was our next driving break along the way. What a large pull in area.
We were able to park quite close to GZ, and then immediately recognised this type of hide.
Log signed, and then time to head to the northern area of this parking bay to look for the other one.
Thanks Nedandmrskelly

On the way to Mackay for the night as we venture north to Townsville for the Mega, with Team de Ville (Imbunda, Peppa, and patrol14). Great hide. Signed log as Tour de Ville. TFTC.
Day 2 of the Tour De Ville and we’re back on the road heading North…
Again with TMZ59 at the wheel of the Habanero Sport, Patrol14 up the front, and Imbunda and I in the back fighting over the arm rest…
We have a list of caches, that I spent at least two hours creating, to collect on the way up… the list lasted exactly one cache yesterday before we were getting “other” caches…
This cache made the list, must be a crazy challenge cache somewhere it’s needed for…Patrol14 spotted this familiar container… we, for the first time this trip
replaced the snap lock bag and added a new log for the hordes of cachers on the road…
Tftc… log signed as Tour de Ville - TDV - TIPP

We wandered over from the rest area through the deserted truck parking area to GZ where our arrows pointed us to an open space. We decided to just have a quick look around us and the cache was immediately spotted as we’ve seen these type before. Unfortunately I hadn’t come prepared with spare log to add so we added our names in a space that seemed to have once had a name but now doesn’t. TFTC Nedandmrskelly
Light up my life. Needs a new plastic bag. Thanks for the break while cycling north.
It doesn't took long to found this nice cache. Luckily no one where around.
