Another long trip around AU over the top end with lots of detours. Now heading back east across the Nullarbor.TFTC. Nice quick find.
A nice quick find and back into the warm car. Today was Kondinin to Gnowangerup, just a short distance to travel but had a productive morning of puzzle solving delaying our start. With the tin horse highway ahead, a relaxed morning of puzzles had us a few extra to stop at and a late start on the road early afternoon. A fun highway of interesting and quirky sculptures. Stopping through towns along the way for AL's and caches as we pass. Weather's turned a bit ordinary, but for the most part okay and any rain while driving or passing quick. Gnowangerup was a quiet town early evening, but a first to ring the doorbell on the local hotel/pub for entry and service. Always something new and a good chat with the publican with us being the only ones there. Tomorrow night's their busy one. Thanks for your cache which was an added highlight of the day.
A quick find on a super windy day in Nyabing. After driving to Dumbleyung from Katanning this morning we're returning via the Connect series. And the sky ahead is looking raincloud grey.. TFTC josstaylor.
Found at 2:47 PM GAFF1.We were intrigued to see how a "regular" sized cache was going to be hidden in such an exposed location with not many hiding spots and just had to have a bit of a chuckle when we found this tiny tube Thanks to josstaylorFeedback: Cache is no longer a large Tupperware container, but a small clear plastic tube.
Out and about again, gone down south for the weekend and managed to get Friday off to make a long weekend out of it. Grabbed a few caches today, a little cooler but stayed dry. This is 15698.Thanks to josstaylor for the caches we found.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 25 - Cranbrook to Nyabing via Tambellup, Broomehill village and Katanning. I started with a tough multi, then did lots of roadside caches until Katanning and then started to explore the town also whilst doing a set of labs. The last part of the day was heading to Nyabing and a fantastic show ground camp ground, with under cover caravan parking. I watched yesterdays Grand Prix and am now sitting having dinner at the local gathering spot, not a pub called The Hub. Off to Kulin tomorrow and a series I have been wring on for some time but did not expect to get to, the Tin Horse Highway.I was happy that quite a few of today's caches were nice quick roadside caches, even if they were at some interesting location. A great signpost for the town here. Thanks for the cache josstaylor46876.26 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Gold Puzzle Orange A#70**Albida**
Heading south for an extended long weekend, with the aim to knock off one of WAs oldest caches, up Bluff Knoll. Unfortunately, the plan didnt take the shape we intended, with the car not starting this morning in Nyabing. After some assistance from Scott at the Hub to get leads from another local in town, we got a jump and decided to change course for Albany to source a new battery. While we were a bit bummed out on not completing the intended climb, you do have to play with the cards you are Detoured here to finish the town cleanup before rolling off to Borden. Cheers josstaylor! Join us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!
We headed down to Pingrup to spend some time on the farm, of course we had to collect some caches along the way. Happy to say we came up trumps and walked away with a smilie TFTC
Touring the area, grabbing some more LGAs. Thanks to the series for helping us with this task. Always like to get a welcome to cache as we travel. Tftc
GOTCHA cruising from Dumbleyung to Albany today Taking the less traveled route TFTC

Wandering out yonder around the wheatbelt for a few days. We found some amazing places that we might never have visited, and a number of beautiful friendly little towns along the way. The fields are greening up, the weather was perfect, and we had a great few days meandering our way around a number of shires collecting caches along the way. We stopped here and had a good search in all the obvious places, but could not locate the cache.
Thanks for placing this series for us to find. I could only get a few today as we were heading the other way. Found the cache out in the open not sure where it was meant to be. Lid was open and broken. Contents is still there but log book has got wet at some stage but is dry now. Can the owner please check this is where it is meant to be thanks
Found it. TFTC josstaylor. Again my GPS is sending me on a wild goose chase into the property. Cache radar took over and made the find.
A work trip took us to Nyabing so took the opportunity to find some caches in an area we hadn’t cached before.
On the road for work and picking up a few caches on the way. Thanks for making the drive interesting
I thought the tank connected up to some interesting water feature on approach !

Today I made my way down from near Narembeen to Katanning, visiting some old haunts and reliving some memories from when I used to work in this area 30 years ago!
I also took the opportunity to pick up a couple of caches in each of the LGAs I passed through.
The cache was visible as I pulled up, which made for a quick park and grab.
Thanks josstaylor for the cache.

On a work road trip to Ongerup and planned some extra time to pick up a few caches in LGAs we have not logged.
I had read the previous logs so brought a new box, unfortunately it wasn't quite big enough, so old box is still in place. There has obviously been some cleaning up around the structure here with new mulch etc. The box has been nicely placed with a bit of mulch over it but it is still rather exposed.
Thanks for the cache josstaylor

An easy find but the container is in need of some TLC. The plastic has become brittle leading to a large hole in the lid. Turned it upside down but don’t think it will survive the winter. TFTC josstaylor
Need new container, sorry I didn't have spare the size of container with me. Thanks for the cache and hunt.
Today was another day of taking a meander through wheat growing territory with ilook4geo. We are aiming to pick up various LGAs where we have not cached before and are just selecting two or three to represent each different LGA.
This was very easy to find. Sadly the lid has been damaged, so it was replaced upside down when we had finished to try and keep the elements out. Thank you josstaylor for placing this cache.

Travelling Australia since March 2014 now we are making our way west for a visit with family.
Moving day today from Kukerin to Dumbleyung. Managed to grab 1 cache with the caravan on tow. Once in town we unhitched at the RV Park, then headed out to explore the local area using Geocaching as a guide. A total of 240km and 19smilies for our afternoon.
TFTC and sharing this part of WA with us josstaylor

This was to be the last one of the KNC trail for me to collect today. Was a quick find here too. I did stop to have a go at the others in Nyabing but there was a little bit going on and I had places to be so weighed it up and kept on going.
Thanks for the cache josstaylor.
Cheers

Carting a bit of grain out of cbh this week so stopped to grab a couple in nyabing! A quick easy grab TFTC:)
With the long weekend ahead, The jinta crew decided to head off for a massive weekend of driving to try and grab all of our remaining LGA’s to the South and the East. This was to be another step closer to fulfilling the last LGA challenge cache.
We headed off at 4am with Norseman the destination for the evening. We travelled south through Katanning and then on to Esperance and then up to Norseman.
With the huge distances we were looking to cover over a couple of days we had to highlight a select few caches to stop and grab, this cache was one of the ones we stopped for! TFTC

Sitting on 119 LGA regions found and what happens? A 120 LGA is published. So seeing my closest Unfound LGAs we’re down here, I decided to arrange a trip. I mentioned it to KrabiBoy who was up for a night away so we packed the car and headed off. We set a plan and off we went.
Found this in the open so placed back behind shrub
josstaylor, Kyzabra found your cache Katanning - Nyabing Connect #8, the cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

A nice quick grab. 7th find for the day on our quest to see how many country LGA's we can get today.
Another find on our wander through the south west. TNLN, but Trecaz Trakki TB visited. Thanks.
Took a few minutes to disregard the likely dastardly locations and work on something a bit more obvious.
Day 6 of my Adelaide to Perth drive after heading to the Red Centre Experience in Alice Springs. I stayed overnight with family in Gibson and am winding my way back through as many LGAs as I can to get back to Perth.
TFTC josstaylor.
josstaylor, KrabiBoy found your cache Katanning - Nyabing Connect #8 on 8/5/17.

This was the kids first one ever they loved the hunt and can't wait to do it again
On a bit of a road trip (close to 2000km by the time we get home) grabbing some LGAs and adding to my smileys tho only finding a few in each major town other wise we will never get home as we only have 3.5 days
Our plan is just to drive and stopover at the nearest town to where we are when it starts getting dark. But we have on our list Katanning, Nyabing, Gnowangerup, Borden, Jerramungup, Ravensthorpe, Esperance, Grass Patch, Salmon Gums, Dundas area, Kambalda, Kalgoorlie, Coolgardie, Southern Cross, Westonia, Merredin, Kellerberin, Tammin, Cunderdin and finish off caching in Meckering
Was an easy find as it was out in the open a little. Signed log and put it under a little more
TFTC and bringing us to Nyabing as this is the only place I haven't been to out of all the places we are going to on this trip
Replaced cache as found
