No find here in spite of a pretty good look. No donkeys either. Third DNF. Some road works has been done. Maybe it has gone. Suggest the CO takes a look.
But thanks anyway.
But thanks anyway.
Not sure if it's still there after all the work being done in the area...had a good look but couldn't find
No sign of a magnetic nano qnd not many places to hide one. It's probably worth a CO check.
Driven past so many times but had never stopped as always so busy when we are in the area for swimming lessons. Master 8 and I went to find this while Master 5 was swimming, great way to fill in some time. TFTC
Tiga and I tucked in a few elusive caches between showers (read RAIN) to get something for the weekend.
Road works and heavy rain almost dissuaded us from attempting this but after a second or two of discussion decided we would allow one minute for discovery time.
Took the out of place view and soon scurried back to the car (where we had left the pen) to sign the log (which required gentle withdrawal).
Duly signed as TT2M.P and returned as found.
No sign of donkeys to day. Tftc

Out and about with My.Precious between and as it happened in the showers. Last stop in Windermere, and bucketing down with the wet stuff. Drove pass, and saw the muddy mess that the road workers have made to create a new footpath. A magnetic nano, a road sign, and a quick P&G. Signed TT2M.P our joint monogram. Seem to be following Tblythe's footsteps (literally) today.
Very appropriate title. No problem with the cache extraction - the biggest challenge was getting the logsheet out and back in - tight squeeze! I then got muggled replacing the cache, by some workers. They were leaving though so I think the cache'll be safe. Nice hide, tftc.
Found it with a bit of help with Katbowersnz. Good little nano. Its very wet so I didnt write in it, and didnt think Id be able to wind it back up without ripping it.
Really enjoyed this one! Very clever! Saw lots of donkeys but at a distance Tftc
No donkeys today, just a few chooks nearby and a rooster crowing. Rural bliss.
We soon had the cache. Unfortunately we didn't have a suitable log to fit this one, or we would have replaced the very nearly full log. We thought the placement was a bit risky, it could easily be dropped to disappear forever. Is this its original position? Guess so, and it hasn't been lost yet!

On our way for a road trip around the East Cape and caching our way around.
Stopped here but no donkeys present today. Quick easy find as there was only one place it could be.
Log full so over wrote a faded entry at position 23.

Very cunning cache
No muggles but were watched from afar by a herd of donkeys. According to Wikipedia they can be a herd, a drove or a pace --- but today they were not going anywhere at a "pace" or in a "drove"; so we shall settle for herd
Thank your daughter for the cache

Honestly, we didn't see any donkeys in the beginning. Then we noticed some in the background but they were far from being everywhere

I found this Geocache along with HKCB, 11hpg11 and Kyb3r, a bunch of overachieving Geocachers from Hamilton. We signed the logs 1HIK to save on log space. This was our fourth sojourn or ‘mission’ as we like to refer to these trips, to the Tauranga area and even though we had limited time due to family commitments in the evening we still managed to find more the fifty caches and be home before dinner. Credit needs to go to HKCB who came up with the plan and 11hpg11 for driving. As always we had a great time. I discovered HKCB has a big one, that the TV show Samurai Pizza Cats is horribly underrated, that when it comes to night/ early morning Geocaching ‘it's all about the lumens’, that road kill can make for amusing hood ornaments, that hpg has a big hole and that clapping in a state in the USA may well be the funniest thing anyone can say at 5am. A big thanks to all the cache owners who placed and maintain the Geocaches we found today.
I'm not sure why but the Donkeys loved Kyb3r. Luckily HKCB wasn't to their liking and he was able to make a quick find without been interrupted. TFTC.

Another trip to Tauranga/Papamoa area with a group of Hamilton cachers. Today we planned to clean out a bit more of the area, just one more we keep saying, but new caches keep coming out all the time. Today our team consisted of HKCB, Iammrwalker, Kyb3r and myself. The logs were either signed with our names or HIK1/1HIK to save room. Today I was designated driver and that came along with a new set of challenges but we survived and didn't make too many wrong turns so all is good. A nice early start, left Hamilton at 4.30am so we could be over in time for a night cache plus plenty of other caches before a few of us had to be home for the Hot Air Balloon Night Glow event.
I was a little too distracted by the donkeys to do much finding, lucky the boys were on to it. Thanks for the cache

Hitting the trails with the 1HIK crew (11hpg11, HKCB, iammrwalker and myself) on a mission to help them clear Tauranga caches.
I'm the donkey whisperer apparently, as soon as I get out of the car they all start coming towards me, trying to work out what we're doing. I even get to pat one of them, so awesome just for that haha. HKCB was onto the cache quick as.

Yet another mission/meander/drive/caching blitz/story telling to Tauranga/Papamoa with some of the Hamilton crew. An early start was on the cards so that we could make it back in time so a couple of the members could make it back in time for the Night Glow Event held at the Waikato Uni. So at 4.30am 11hpg11, Kyb3r, iammrwalker and myself plied into HPG's new caching vechicle and headed out for the day. As usual a fantastic day out and a bonus for the day was that the weather was on our side, even though it didn't look like it. A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements, we signed the logbooks with 1HIK (our caching names put together) to save some room on the logbooks.
The donkeys came up to say hi, while we hunted for the cache. Took a small hunt to find the cache, but it didn't stump us for long. Thanks for the hide.

1564 Was starting to think this had been muggled when I made the find. Well done.
Found on my way home from the Leap Day event (alright - I took the long way home) to pick up another cache for the Leap Day souvenir.
No donkeys to be seen tonight, but I did feel like a bit of an ass searching on the corner at this time of night.
Thanks for the convenient cache and a good hide.

Quick find after work, donkeys under cover today so only saw from a distance. Clever hide. Tyftc
We are cruising around over the long weekend, picking up caches as we go.

Heading over to Tauranga once again to catch up with friends along with making a very short appearance at the local event (thanks TNXPro) so with Mrs Dragon often calling me an ass I thought it was just right that I collected this one.
A nice quick find and short search soon had this cache in hand
thanks for the placement, thanks for the fun

Mr Clan kept asking about the donkeys.. But as he asked they appeared. Nice cache.
Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!
Greetings from Finland

On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.
Today our trip continued from Tauranga to Hamilton. Of course with some caching on the way. We had lots of fun and saw many nice places and caches. Thanks for the cache!
Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!

17th day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards north. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. After having a blast in South Island and in Christchurch Mega event, we had to start heading back home. Fortunately we still had few days left to spend in NZ while driving to Auckland.
Crafty hide!! This one tried to grab my pencil whilst I was writing on top of fence post. Tftc.
A well hidden cache but didn't take too long to find; we did our best to be stealthy but it was hard to know if anyone was watching from nearby houses. The donkeys were quiet today and not close enough for photos. Thanks Clarewat Bears!
The Donkeys had a lot to say for themselves this afternoon.
Nice little hide.
Cheers

#426 - Found after work tonight was a great night for it, no wind no rain and the sun was still shinning! Was still busy here tonight and Donkeys weren't out. But i did find the cache after a bit of searching sneaky hide there. TFTC.
3.35pm - Note how you got the name for cache. One of the donkeys must have been having a bad day because he was really going off at the others, anyway no problems to find cache. SLTFTC
Day 12 of a hopeful 50-Day caching streak... This is one of the requirements of our current Geocaching License Challenge. We have been looking ahead and decided that we no longer need to hold off on Tauranga caches. After months of neglect, it was time we did a bit of a raid here... With Gap (of Fap and Gap)...
Heard the donkeys... Saw the donkeys in the distance. We had a couple of objects to search. The cache was appropriately hidden. TFTC.

Visited with a friend of mine and found it easily as I guessed where to look for.

Quick find with nzkeko, love these donkeys and this gave me a chance to get a little closer to them. TFTC
Everyone said easy find are the coordinates right? Is it still there as we couldn't find it?????
OK yep looks like we have been muggled and cache has gone a wondering. But I replaced it with one of the same, hidden a little more cunningly but extra care needed when hunting and replacing just in case you knock it off.
Clearing a few new caches in this area - No donkeys here today but I have seen them on numerous occasions. Cache quickly found and discreetly dealt with even though this is a busy corner. TFTC
Quickly found the cache then the big st Bernard came to say hello but no donkeys they sure do have a lot of donkeys though. Tftc always wanted to stop and see the donkeys.
Yes,there were certainly donkeys everywhere this morning & a bit miffed I had nothing to give them.Cache was a quick find with very little people or cars to get in the road.Thankyou.
A cool little hide !! Was at the right place at the right time... when the donkeys were just being fed
Nice quiet arvo for this one! Exactly where C said it would be, easy when no one round
This was a challenge. There seemed to be loads of people going past on a Saturday morning. We were visited by a big St Bernard and a donkey. Cache took a while to find and a while to extricate.
Out for my daily cache and needed to look for one close to home and also hopefully one that didnt involve to much of a walk. Got to GZ and was raining but luckily got there before the real mad weather stated. Found the cache pretty fast luckily and took back to the car to sign the log, Tip for these type of caches if you dont have a tool to remove the log, The log itself has a metal part in the middle so if you hold the magnet of the cache against it will help remove the log. Took log back to hiding spot and went home. Jumped on the comp to load the log and BOOM wind storm sidewise rain and then power cut. This lasted from around 1pm till 5pm so log had to wait untill I got home from work. Cheers Clarewat Bears for another cool cache didnt see the donkeys but used to see them years ago when I studied at the polytec
I had a few more minutes before having to get to work so stopped here for this find.
I saw the donkeys and found the cache quickly enough as to not make me look like an ass.
I had to retrieve a tool from the car to remove log but that is quite normal for these types of caches, especially in the damp and cold weather.

Hee haw hee haw yeah my first first to find think there may have been some fellow cache hunters scoping this one out at the same time. T4tc
Second place again - had a good idea what we were looking for but nope, turns out we were over thinking it and it was right in front of our faces. No Donkeys here today though, just a manky looking rabbit
