Had a dot day to fill and this was my closest unfound cache. Spent a while searching for this in the ankle deep water, but couldnt find anything where the coord brought me, just a broken tree. Expanded the search and found a crevice that could have housed a cache. Only thing I could find there was a pile of mud housing a painted rock. Would be useful if CO can check it out to confirm if its still in place.
I'ts been a while and as other plans had been disrupted due to rain it was time to catch up on all those logs, this being but one of about 250 of them.
Another trip in the company of HKCB and we were over this way after having to change our previous plans for a big days tramping so better to be close to town clearing out a few we hadn't got before. Working through the caches around Welcome Bay so that another clear spot appears on the map. Must say we are enjoying the darkness in the morning so that we can get into the area while others are still asleep
A nice and quiet spot as we continued our journey though Welcome Bay
Thanks for the cache thanks for the placement

Tired and wanting to head home but as we had the Breeunit with us, she was determined that she must get this cache, so off we trundled. A pretty little spot and quiet at night, Breeunit was first to put her hand on the cache. Thank you for cache!

You know the scene in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, where the heroine has to put her hand in an alcove full of bugs to pull a lever and stop the death-trap? Well this cache was a little like that- a literal sea of bugs. I hate bugs but thanks very much for a great little cache! TFTC.
Out exploring while Master 5 was at swimming leason nearby. Master 8 wasn't keen to get too close to what we could see was the cache after reading the logs talking about the bugs that had made it their home. Luckily not many were there today. Found a wee spot on the log to record our name. Cool cache Bree! TFTC
Out and about with My.Precious between and as it happened, in the showers. M.P had logged this cache previously so she stayed in the car while I headed to GZ. Loved the cache design. Had to write along the side as log was full.
Bree and Dad I really liked this cache. Great design Bree! I will come back some time and leave a TB for you. Well done. It gets a fav from me TFTC
Very cool idea and nicely made. Pity it's getting a bit rusty. I think this is the cache where the logsheet was full, but maybe I'm getting mixed up. Nice park - all quiet today. Tftc
Thank you for my 20th find, Bree unfortunately I lost my pen on the way, so Mickey says hi!
Found it with Katbowersnz. Good little hide and perfect slot to hide it in on the tree. Right by the playground so you can play and find.
CO. The Log is FULL and needs replacing asap. Container could also use a new waterproof (6mm x 9mm) bag. I would have obliged if I had my cache bag with me. Cheers
Had a bit of fill in time between finishing a job and picking up a work trailer and remembered seeing there were some caches in this area so opted to suss out tahi or rua.
With some rubbish in hand I wandered down to use the bin by the playground and then just followed my GPS to the most obvious spot I could think of as I didn't have any other info with me.
Sorted and retrieved out of the neat little hide BUT THE LOG IS FULL. Found a bit on the side to sign and wished I had my cache bag with me as this one does need a new log and waterproof (6mm x 9mm) bag.
Hopefully some one will oblige soon. Tftc

Coming home from a cycling visit to the Waikato a visit to Windermere Park took our fancy. Really enjoyed our visit and nice to pick up a cache as well. The wood lice who were living in the tree probably were a bit distraught about having their home disturbed though!!!
Loved the camouflage. Cache log is full but otherwise all is ok. It earns a favourite from us. Keep up the caching Bree.

Oops! I hope the earwigs don't return! We took the cockroach and added something different! A well designed and constructed cache, I hope Bree enjoys geocaching as much as we do.
Thank you Bree ---- what a cleverly engineered and hidden cache.
We have never, ever seen so many Earwigs --- it was alive with them. We know that they are misunderstood and that they are harmless but they still made our skin crawl as we tried to move them all on to the grass, brrr!!! So we put a big cockroach into the cache as a watch-dog-bug!!

On the mission today to make a joint milestone - finding my 1000th and ivss_xx's 4000th - 2 left to go
Loved the park and the little walk to GZ. well crafted cache too, didn't expect this clever idea from a 6 year old. But tooo many bugs, so it was bit tricky to take the cache out. I must say that its an add on too.. giving a natural effect.. tftc.

Nice park and cache hide but it has a terrible bug infestation. With creepers all over and inside the camo, this cache looked like something straight out of Fear Factor or a horror movie

I found this Geocache along with HKCB, 11hpg11 and Kyb3r, a bunch of overachieving Geocachers from Hamilton. We signed the logs 1HIK to save on log space. This was our fourth sojourn or ‘mission’ as we like to refer to these trips, to the Tauranga area and even though we had limited time due to family commitments in the evening we still managed to find more the fifty caches and be home before dinner. Credit needs to go to HKCB who came up with the plan and 11hpg11 for driving. As always we had a great time. I discovered HKCB has a big one, that the TV show Samurai Pizza Cats is horribly underrated, that when it comes to night/ early morning Geocaching ‘it's all about the lumens’, that road kill can make for amusing hood ornaments, that hpg has a big hole and that clapping in a state in the USA may well be the funniest thing anyone can say at 5am. A big thanks to all the cache owners who placed and maintain the Geocaches we found today.
I learned some new words here thanks to some local exuberant young people. Oh and found a cache! We pretty much ran to this one as we really keen to 'clear out' this area and were running short on time.

Another trip to Tauranga/Papamoa area with a group of Hamilton cachers. Today we planned to clean out a bit more of the area, just one more we keep saying, but new caches keep coming out all the time. Today our team consisted of HKCB, Iammrwalker, Kyb3r and myself. The logs were either signed with our names or HIK1/1HIK to save room. Today I was designated driver and that came along with a new set of challenges but we survived and didn't make too many wrong turns so all is good. A nice early start, left Hamilton at 4.30am so we could be over in time for a night cache plus plenty of other caches before a few of us had to be home for the Hot Air Balloon Night Glow event.
Another fast find here while some kids played nearby. Thanks for the cache

Hitting the trails with the 1HIK crew (11hpg11, HKCB, iammrwalker and myself) on a mission to help them clear Tauranga caches.
Little kiddly widdlies playing hide and seek in the park, not even interested in our game of hide and seek. These kids know some very adult works.. wow wee!

Yet another mission/meander/drive/caching blitz/story telling to Tauranga/Papamoa with some of the Hamilton crew. An early start was on the cards so that we could make it back in time so a couple of the members could make it back in time for the Night Glow Event held at the Waikato Uni. So at 4.30am 11hpg11, Kyb3r, iammrwalker and myself plied into HPG's new caching vechicle and headed out for the day. As usual a fantastic day out and a bonus for the day was that the weather was on our side, even though it didn't look like it. A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements, we signed the logbooks with 1HIK (our caching names put together) to save some room on the logbooks.
A few kids playing hide and seek at the nearby play ground, but the weren't to interested in what we were doing. Quickly found at GZ.

1562 Thanks Bree for your cache. I like it and so do the earwigs. A number of them had made it their home and were guarding the container for you.
We are cruising around over the long weekend, picking up caches as we go.

Cache was overrun with various insects... nice idea for the cache container ; thanks for the placement.
Nice quick find greeted by a beep of ewigs...gave them a good shake and they scurried away nice little cache thanks ..nice area tftc
Nice find but many muggles on the playground made. Had to work as a team with Macwatt with me as the decoy checking out the flowering Koromiko.
Nice little park with no one around. Was a big kid and went for a slide lol. Quickly spotted the cache. Nice camo tftc
Out for a walk looking at the christmas lights in the area and detoured to this park. Great camo, and lots of earwigs seem to be enjoying the cache! TFTC!
A great idea bree and well done dad on making it nice and peaceful down here tonight. Tftc
A lovely sunny afternoon to be out caching, but chose to do just one to fill another dot day. This looks like a great playground and running-around space. There were a group of muggles nearby but thankfully I was hidden from view at GZ, and they seemed too busy reading, enjoying the sunshine, and watching their kids on the slide to notice what I was doing. Well-constructed cache, no bugs present today. TFTC!
#425 - Found after work tonight was a great night for it, no wind no rain and the sun was still shinning! great little park right next to work. Loved the cache its a nice hiding spot.

3.45pm - Great use of natural products to make container, full of slugs and other bugs when we found it. Emptied them all out but don't know for how long. SLTFTC
Day 12 of a hopeful 50-Day caching streak... This is one of the requirements of our current Geocaching License Challenge. We have been looking ahead and decided that we no longer need to hold off on Tauranga caches. After months of neglect, it was time we did a bit of a raid here... With Gap (of Fap and Gap)...
Yet another cool cache container... We've been more than impressed with many of the hides found today. We spotted the camouflage from a few metres away, so this was a quick find. TFTC.

Just visiting to check on the cache and place a TB that is perfect t for children.
Out picking up some new caches in this area - I hadn't been to this playground before but it is a very nice one - the slide looks cool and I know 3 young boys who would love it - Great cache - thanks for the effort of making it TFTC
Had to wait for a shower to pass over so the playground was all mine. The great hint took me straight to the cache which was a new home to slugs, slaters & earwigs until I shook & scraped them out.Loved the camo, well done Clarewat Bears,a fav.
Horrbile weather for a cache today but still not going to let this streak slip. Kiwijade had the day off work so we all went for a drive down here, once at the park tho it was still spitting so normally we would of taken kiwibaby for a play at the park but not today he stayed in the car with Jade while I shot down to GZ. Phone was not playing ball today but once I expanded my search still found a awesomely designed cache (liked the tin 2 kiwibabys fav program) Signed log and headed back to the car to go home and put a dry top on. Cheers for the cache hope Bree likes creapy crawlies as a few have taken up home in there
A nice quick find while cleaning up some of the newish caches in the Tauranga area. Cool & creative hide.
Thanks Clarewat Bears

Thanks Bree, finding your super clever cache was not a breeze. Mainly because we walked up to the wrong set of trees. Plenty of time gone into designing this cache. We didn't take anything although some earwigs have taken up residence. Our dog lived running round this park.
First of all, well done Bree for a great hiding spot and a Breelliant cache design. I'm afraid I have to tell you that I found the cache with part of the "door" broken off. Nevertheless, this was a fun cache to start my day before heading to work.
Thanks for bringing me to this park, I had no idea it was here.

Bree, what a clever idea, my 4yr old boy was most impressed. It was starting to spit so we didn't stay to play but we will come back one day.
Yay ftf again. Slight detour on way to work loved the cache it is very cool design. Didn't even know this park was here t4tc
I wasn't sure I could be bothered heading out tonight but this one came through - along with all the other recent caches and like the straw that broke the camels back - we were off! Very cool camo again in a place I've never been before. Cheers Clarewat Bears
