Was here for the cache, but left with a smiley and some pineapples that are leaving an amazing aroma in my car. They are so ripe. Now I am hungry.

11685 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 0850. The farmer was on his tractor in the nearby paddock. Keeping a watch on what we were doing so near his store. SL Tnx Nedandmrskelly. Added o new log sheet.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 122. Yeppoon to Raglan via Rockhampton. I spent the morning around Yeppoon visiting a few more caches before beginning my journey South. It all took a bit longer than expected and I managed to find a few more caches than expected as well, so I pulled up early at a pub along the highway at Raglan. I'll get to Gladstone tomorrow and have a few more caches to do in the morning.

So many pineapples ! I had to read the logs to find it was somewhere else, but once that information had been found, I found the cache quickly.

There was very much an added bonus with this cache today. It took us to a stall selling beautiful looking pineapples. The local farmer told us they were hybrid low acid so would not take the roves off our mouths like fresh pineapple often does when we eat too much. The proof will be in the eating later today.
GPS had us 14 m away today but thanks to previous finders we found it after spending quite a while.

Another beautiful day in Yeppoon. We headed out in the morning to search for some more caches and chase on a couple we missed yesterday. Some completed puzzles, a multi and traditionals were amongst the tally.
Thank you to the local COs for their work in developing and maintaining the caches.

Wasn’t sure if it was attached to the pineapple trailer. I was getting some dirty looks from people thinking I was doing something dodgy to the pineapples so I left it alone.

Oh dear... we’re not having that much luck today!! it did start raining so our search was cut a little short... potential fire victim?

Today we decided to head out to Yepoon for caching & a nice sea change.
We found a good variety of caches in some amazing locations.
Some of the pines didn't look real good. A lot need to be thrown out.

I guess the more caches you do the more you know where to look in obvious places. An easy find. TFTC

Yum fresh pineapples! I wouldn't have stopped for these if it hadn't been for the cache because I wouldn't have taken any notice of it tucked away as it is and the signage is also pretty poor. I managed to scrape together $2 and grabbed the best cone I could find. I intend stopping on my way back for some lychees as well so dinner is looking (smelling) better and better.

Hmm - the co-ords took us actually on the pines. We were then advised that it is no longer there so we moved away and found the cache 8 metres away.
Nice aroma of pines.

TFTC 2nd attempt. Found it easily the 2nd time.

In Yeppoon for seven days and head home in two. days. My plan was to achieve 50 finds whilst up here without any really difficult ones, due to a crook knee at the moment, avoiding the puzzles and any needing water craft. I have achieved my goal of 50, actually have surpassed that number and now just finding ones close to where we are staying.

Parked close and walked back to area of GZ. The hide could not be here so I broadened my search area and guided by the light at the corner soon had the cache container in hand. Returned container to its hide. I had the co ordinates 8 meters out. Signed log YOF as that is what I use on small and micro logs to save room on the paper. The smell near the pines is a bit gross at the moment as it looks like the farmer just throws the bad ones on the ground close to the good ones. Find #55 for this trip.

A fairly straightforward find for us today and three lovely fragrant pines too. Mouth is watering! Tftc all is well here. SL and visited coin.

No pines for us today & almost no cache until Geohubby went further a field & came up with the goods. TFTC cheers

We were in the area and thought a pine might be nice. no pines today we did see that the lock for the money box had been smashed so thats not cool [:(!]. Had a look around then Ratdog made the find nearby.

out with RFC for a cacheing expedition of sorts we happened to come by here. I love Pines but none to be had today. After a few tense minutes and much traffic I eventually sorted out GZ and the log was signed.

this one was a little hard and we didn't end up looking we pulled up at GZ and this lady in another car jumped out and came over to us and asked "Do you have the mangos?" we had no idea and no mangos either so we decided if she was waiting for someone we would go, didn't need any pineapple today anyway. till next time.

This search took a considerably longer time than we expected. There was definitely a strong smell of fruit in this area, too. TFTC

Well ,Isn't this muggle-central on a Sunday !!!! Had a few short looks but retreated each time muggles came in sight. Decided to Ring the CO for a hint so I could find it quickly in between Muggles. That didn't work either as a car pulled up just as my new search was started.... I'll come back another time. Thank's anyway.

Only in town 24hrs and 2 caches released! Out we raced, a cold night, geo girl in pj's. Took a while but found in end in a not too difficult a place! Thought I looked there already! Photo of green tree frog guarding all the pineapples and the cache. Gracias Nedandmrskelly
