On my way to Perth via Darwin with a few detours for LGAs. TFTC.
A nice area. I came here at sunset on a Saturday and happened upon the rock sitters. I watched the sun set with them.

Spending a few days in the area. Thanks for arranging this earth cache and giving us the opportunity to explore . Answers collected and submitted by SeasonedBird on our behalf.
Found this one while up here completing some ALs. Some very pretty rocks here and it was low tide so we could see out a fair way. TFTEC
Happy to get down closer to the water and enjoy the sea breeze, and of course to check out the rocks! We had an interesting time at East Point this afternoon with Beavar, whilst on holidays in the N.T. from Wangaratta, Victoria. #8635 TFTEARTHCACHE Na’wal
We have really enjoyed our travels this time, a great Earth Cache here.
Lots of fun exploring the area - awesome in the early morning when it's quiet - great for photos
An interesting read about the history of a few locals here
After a great trip around half the country, up the west coast to Darwin via Kunnunura, Katherine, an amazing two weeks in Darwin, out to Jabiru and Litchfield. Down the middle to Alice Springs then on to Millicent for the Geoventure2020 (in 2021).
We then hit the road to cross the WA border before it closed due to a few cases in SA.
Now we are home with a few of the repairs finished, it is nice to have an opportunity to catch up on logging some finds that need more information as part of the logging requirements.
A huge thank you to all the COs along our travels.

Had an enjoyable walk around East Point today geocaching including this Earthcache. Thanks for the information. Answers sent to CO. Tftc
Muggle65 and l came out here and it was Grand Central Station. So many people were enjoying this place for obvious reasons. It was awesome. Thank you for bringing us here
& I are undertaking a number of Earth Caches on a recent visit to Darwin so that we may learn more about sedimentary rock formations. Because it takes me a wee bit to absorb information (the same length of time it takes to wear these rocks at East Point) Thanks for the cache.
Walked along East Point on Saturday and collected some information which was sent to owner. Interesting spot here though didn't sit on the rocks in the late morning sun. Thanks for setting up this earthcache Na'wal.
Visited Darwin this week and spent some time at East Point. Answers have been sent.

Loved the area. Thanks for the EC and bringing me here. I could have stayed there for hours exploring but I was with my non- geocacher, non rock lover husband.

Thanks Na'wal for bringing me to this nice spot. I came initially for another cache but enjoyed looking at the history around this area with the buildings built to protect Darwin.
Absolutely beautiful place. Spent 3 hours here waiting for the sunset, the colours were amazing. TFTC
Absolutely beautiful spot. And so peaceful. Now I need to grab some food. Those rocks made ne hungry hahaha. Thanks for taking me here. TFTC
This is an absolute stunning area in the morning light, where the colours of the coastline are rich and vibrant. At low tide, I didnt get to see a crocodile, however there appeared to be a fountain of water being pumped just out past the rocky area.

Beautiful location, love the area! Signed a cache I'd missed nearby, with this I now have the East Point completed plus my first Earth Cache!
Spent a good 30 mins just rock hopping and enjoying the point. Thanks for bringing me here.

Here in Darwin, off the Radiance of the Seas for the day. 5beatriff sent in the answers for our little group. Thanks for the Earthcache!
We had a WWII tour here and a boat ride along the cliffs. What a great interesting history here and then there was Cyclone Tracy!
Our adventure really started a couple of years ago with our cruise booking and the savings plan. This year we arrived Feb 6 and had three days to explore Sydney before cruising with Kteeeee and Mr. Kteeeeee, MissPeach13 and MrPeach13 and WRTagalong. We had a great trip with no cases of Co-vid19. We arrived back to Sydney Mid march. The others flew home. WRT and I continued on. We had some time in Brisbane and then cut our trip short as the virus was causing too many challenges and our Country called us home. We stayed quiet and flew out the 25th arriving to a ghost city in Vancouver.
These caches are only being logged now that I am hooked up to the computer and I can find the caches I missed logging. If I have made an error please let me know if something seems wrong as time has passed and my memory is not what it used to be.
Thank you to all the Aussies who set out these caches, maintained them and to the Aussies who offered us shelter and long term shelter if we could not get home. If I had to be stuck anywhere in the world I would choose Australia!

Wow! East point is beautiful! Feels like an island at times. Many wild life here, birds and kangaroos. Lovely spot to sit and admire the sea and the rocks
During our stay in Darwin we wanted to see some Wallabies. Our first stopp at noon was unfortunately unsuccessful. Probably it was too hot.
So, we decided us for a second trip and only some hours before setting sun, we saw many wallabies.
Naturally we visited the beach and answered the questions of the cache owner by e-mail.

I do like Earthcaches. Fantastic world we have. Mayby we should take better care of it.
We looked at the cliffs and the stones at the beach and found traces of fossils in some of them.

Something about the day:

From october 16 to november 6 2019, my wife (lp.dk) and I visited Australia for the first time.
After a flight of more than 20 hours, we landed in Darwin. After 2 nights in the city we continued in a rented car first towards Kakadu National Park and later towards Alice Springs.
In Alice Springs we were picked up in an off-road bus and went on a 3-day trip into the wilderness, with overnight stays in a tent close to Uluru.
Back in Alice Springs we drove all the way to Adelaide, from where we flew to Sydney, where we visited our son who has settled there.
After 5 days in the city, we flew back to Singapore, which we visited for 2 days before the final flight back to Copenhagen.
In total, the trip lasted just over 3 weeks.
On the trip we would like to find / visit as many Earth caches, Virtual and Webcams as possible, but also the other kinds of caches when possible.

No trade.
Found together with lp.dk
Thanks to Na'wal for this cache.

Thanks for showing, nice place. A fav will be given for not copying Wikipedia and asking 10 billion questions. And the QANTAS retro jet flew over. TFTC
It was my last day in Darwin and 2 of my work colleagues had generously offered to ferry me around the suburbs. This was one of 3 earthcaches that I did and it was great to get out around east point.
Many thanks to Na'wal for placing this and others so far from his home.

This is a great spot to sit and ponder (although 12 days seems a little extreme; unless your a rocksitter!) There is evidence of erosion at several locations just west of here where you can see the forces of tide and water at work. TFTC!
A beautiful area to sit and have lunch. A cheeky magpie-lark decided to enjoy the view with me and jump all over the table and bench looking for crumbs.

A first Earthcache in Darwin and a good esample of this new (to me) type of rock. Interesting plaque from the rock-sitters was spotted too. Answers have been sent and T F T E C Na'wal.
We're in Darwin after our few days way out West and rather than slim pickings (geocache-wise) there's a feast of finds up for grabs. As it turned out we found a modest amount of finds and just picked at a few here and there rather than the gluttonous frenzy last time I visted in 2012. We were initally staying in the Alatai but that lasted one night before we moved to better digs on Mitchell - wise choice.
It's that time of year at last when we're heading off on a 2 week break to Australia. We're travelling in 2 distinct phases; see our son and his family in Broome for 5 nights then up to Darwin and NT for a 6 night break before heading back to NZ for Winter, brrrr. There were not many Broome caches to be found as we had visited in September 2016, but there were a couple of newbies available and a revisit to some previously enjoyed sights and sites. A great break and good to get some mid-year sun to recharge the batteries. Main focus was Earthcaches and any collateral solved/qualified for Puzzles and Challenges as well as a friendly Event in Darwin on our first night in town. A good trip all round and nice time was had.

Darwin Day 3, Part 1:
The plan for the morning was to head up to East Point for the cluster of caches there. I have heard good things about the place, so it was worth checking out before the day got too hot. So, cycled up here after breakfast for a thoroughly enjoyable round of caching before getting back to the hotel for lunch.
The following is the specific log for this cache:
Another nice little Earthcache, which seemed really similar to the one at Nightcliff... hmm... ok, is there some sort of difference that I am not seeing? Anyway, it’s a different sort of a view and locale here, so TFTEC!

I was clearly in lala land on arrivla at this one as I headed off to GZ following the GPS and thought, there's something wrong with the coords and they must be waaaay out. I started to walk back toward the trees, then remembered I would never actually find a container at this one... DOH.
So, back to the car for my notes, then quickly back to GZ to answer the question and snap some obligatory pics. All done, I returned to the beauty of the car aircon before moving on. [^]
Not a pleasant day weatherwise today, but a great spot to visit again. It's been a long time since I have dropped by this area. Mid nineties in fact.
Cheers Na'wal.

Had a full day caching around Darwin today. Many puzzles and challenges with a few trads and earthcaches thrown in as well. All in all a great day. I have been adoring the rock-scrambling around the seaside here. Much fun and wonderful colours.
On our way through Australia Clematius and I visited a lot of very interesting places. We tried to find some historical spots as well as geological spots. Many Earthcaches helped us to find beautiful landscapes and views. Thanks a lot for showing to Na'wal.
While traveling the tropical north of Australia ElizaBennet and I visited very interesting places. We spent quite some times on Earthcaches but found some traditional caches as well. Thanks a lot for showing this place to Na'wal.
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 9765. We found this as part of our 2018 Round Australia trip.
Found this one today as we wandered around East Point. I gathered the required information and have sent the CO a message in the message centre.

On my bike exploring East Point today. The erosion is quite severe around this part of Darwin's coast. It makes good photography but not good when the sea is slowly reclaiming the land. Logged with permission.
Thanks for putting this cache out there and the geology lesson.

Found with fletch_4. It was a beautiful spot to sit on a warm day with the sea breeze while logging this cache. TFTC .
On a quick round the block trip with frmen1. What a surprise to discover who the CO is. We were here 3 years ago, and wanted to clear a blue face and get this newbie. As always, we learned something, got to see nature at her best and get some exercise. TFTC & all of the above.
Up in Darwin with BenJessAwesome3 doing some business and obviously couldn't resist finding a few caches. We managed to sneak off and look at this earthcache during lunch. It is a great spot with lots of interesting history. Always interested in learning new things and this didn't disappoint, well worth the effort.

Made it here this morning just on sunrise. I went off and discovered some of the other local caches before returning to discover the amazing colours of the rocks closest to the water pipe. A great story too about the rock sitters club, very Australian!
Second last day in Darwin before we fly back home to Brissy! Today was mainly filled with historical places and museums such as the Parap markets, Guinea Hangar, Fannie Bay Gail, The military museum followed with a walk around the east point with loads of historical sites. This geocache was on the list and I'm so grateful for it and the history and information in the description! TFTC!
A nice location and interesting to learn about these rocks that we've seen scattered around the beaches in the area. TFTC

Detour around Australia - family of 6 travelling in a camper trailer for 6 months!!
Due to the lack of reception in the outback regions of Australia, we got seriously behind in logging caches. But a new year's resolution is good enough for me to get the trip of lifetime logged! Thankfully I did diligently write in my diary to record each days events!!
We decide to ignore the heat, and get some use out of the bicycles we had brought along. It was a wonderful and intersting day around the point. Thankyou for the cache today!

Geo mum loves rocks and associated Earth Science lessons, which means us Geo children see a lot of them!
We are on the road for a few months so Geo mum is using that as an excuse for more Earth caches, she's using EC's as part of our school work and gets us to answer them.
Since leaving home in Victoria and coming through Central Australia we have seen A LOT of rocks, it's amazing how many landmarks are rocks and how many different types there are.
We thank the CO's that have taken us to special rocky places and to CO's who have given some variety and produced EC's that are a little out of the box, our Earth is amazing and we are very lucky to be doing hands on Earth Science ( can you tell geo mum write that bit!?)
Anyway we appreciate the effort the CO's have put in, apologies for the generic log data and time are low at the moment.
**Dad broke mums phone so some photos are unavailable until we get home in September.

After visiting the museum I walked to this earthcache and admired the view. Greetings from Switzerland and thanks for showing me this nice spot.
We camped in Katherine for the night to catch up with honeysucker who was staying there and after doing a couple of caches with them this morning we continued on our journey north picking up the occasional cache along the way.
Although we have visited East Point many times it was mainly for taking friends out to the gun emplacements and this is the first time that we have ever stopped here.
The answer here was nice and straight forward and we sent it off to the CO.
This was another fun earth cache in a great location and again we learnt a little something about the world we live in.
Many thanks Na'wal for bringing us here, another favourite point from us.
