It looks like most of the pine trees in this patch have recently been cut down and beech seedlings planted. I think maybe the tree it was in has been cut down
We are staying in the village for the weekend and found this cache while making a start on the multi. But we only got as far as the waterslide where junior cacher got waylaid but had heaps of fun! Tftc!
Found with StreetWalker on a gorgeous spring day outing to Castle Hill.
After finding all the caches in the Castle Hill area, we carried on to the village to look for a few more. Parked nearby to do the multi then noticed this cache was here as well, so grabbed it first. TFTC.

Quiet busy in 'town', so just hope that the muggles did not notice what we were doing. A quick find, TFTC
We are staying in the village for a wedding on St Paddy's day at the outdoor centre up the hill so I needed to visit the local caches.
A nice little cache in good condition easily found.

On our trip from Arthur Pass to Cristchurch we had a lot of stops and discoverd caches like this. TFTC!
#5262. The family are having a holiday in the South Island. After spending 5 days in Christchurch it was time to head west and spend a night at Lake Brunner. Its been raining steadily for two days now. Really nasty weather for a holiday. After a respite from the rain for an hour or so, it started up again with a vengeance about here. I got dropped off to find the cache while the other members of the family travelled on to checkout the village. It was a nice quick find so didn't take me long at all. Nice fresh logbook. First to sign. Replaced the cache as found with a bit of natural camo on top. Wasn't sure if it had fallen off but was very exposed when I got there. Thanks TwoSharpe for this cache.
Didn't look for long but there's only 3 trees with a fork and it wasn't in any of them...
Staying in Castle Hill for a friends birthday, it would be rude not to find at least one cache in the villiage. Sunday morning meant a walk up to the Hog's back with part of Team Elliot and our muggle friends. This was the closest to the bach we were staying in so a slight detour and a quick find once we'd read the hint and off up the hill we went. TFTC
Found with Clurbee and friends while staying at CH for a birthday weekend.
Found it a bit too quick as it was sitting out in the open in a plastic bag. I put it back more securely and slightly disguised. Hope that's ok! TFTC

This had been a day in the planning, and a day to look forward to for quite a while!! I took the day off motherhood, left the baby girl with daddy, and headed out to go find some caches - heaps & heaps of caches! - with my mum. Trying to get closer to knocking out as many of those within 80km of home as possible. Not too bad, as I think we found 51 in the end! Well, 51 for me, and a few less for mum. Plus the weather mostly held out!
TFTC!!

A good sign of addiction - leaving the grandchild behind while going caching with your adult daughter! We finally found a day we could both get away, and we headed off into the wild to find some! Great day, even though the weather was a little suboptimal. Lots of fun, TFTC!!!
On a 4 week trip through NZ we found severel nice GC. What a trip and what a beauty to find all those GC.
What a lovely village, almost no people. We first searched at the signs before we found it at its right place. Thanks for showing!

Nothing quite like an impromptu day trip up into the hills! I enjoyed having a quick look around after finding the cache, must be quite a lifestyle to live up here... TFTC (3639)
Pulled up to do this cache and was out muggled by the muggles with the bikes. Don't you hate that.
Easy find. But cache container slightly broken and log messy, so did not sign log.
Headed out for a Mad Monday Mission with TG and thought we try our luck with a FTF. TG grabbed me at 7 and we headed off into the setting sun. We were wondering how may freedom campers we might stumble upon on our wee soujourn. Suprisingly very few this evening. We also thought we might be in a bit of trouble as both of us hadn't brought a jacket as we headed into the cloud over Porters Pass. Phew, it was clear past Lake Lyndon. Evening was superb, we scored a FTF, had a walk, scored a few caches, reminised and realised we have been doing a MMM for over three years now. We even replaced a cache, doing our bit. Got home and it was still Monday.
Heading homeward and did a bit of a tidy up. Quick find here it was right there.
Thanks for the cache TwoSharpe.

My son was having mountain bike withdrawal after the big fire. He can normally bike from our house but the tracks are all shut. Thankfully it is now contained.
We went out to Craigeburn so he could ride. But tragically he left his helmet behind.
So we headed back home to go to Godly Head. I wanted to find a couple of geocaches so we stopped in the village. Jdscout found this one.

Thanks. TwoSharpe for putting in the effort to hide this geocache. This was find 4635 for me.

Geocaching and holidaying in beautiful New Zealand with SwagHo from Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada TFTC.
Quick find once the GPS settle down. Here with HennyGeo on a month's holiday in lovely NZ from Vancouver Island, Canada . TFTC
A good chance to stop and stretch the legs. The cache was soon found and the logbook signed.
Staying in the village for a couple of nights so after another adventure through cave stream the boys and had a wander round the block . Realised things had changed at gz and while I re read the logs one of the boys pulled out the cache before I realized he had it so quick find for him . Headed back to the house via a couple of way points for the multi tftc
Found on 24/10/2016.

Arrived at GZ and was greeted by a plot of ground level stumps. Almost walked away, but explored just a little in one of the only possible spots and there it was. Of course this data has already been made public by the CO, but who takes time to read that before going out? BTW the container has been crushed a bit and is taking on some dampness.
Dragonsring alerted me to tree being slated for removal. We shifted it to another tree within a few metres. GPS and hint still the same. BJ25.
Found this one - nice and close for a walk in the Village. Unfortunately the hiding place will be compromised soon - may need to relocate it nearby. TFTC
Went on a big adventure with Wafflekitties and geo pups, had a blast thanks for the memories! TFTC.
Found while on holiday in the South Island with LCBuilder and our two geodogs. We spent 3 weeks travelling down the east coast and then up the west coast, moving to a different campsite each night. We got a few geocaches along our way; our best day was 41 and our worst was 6 we saw a lot of awesome sights and will definitely have to come back one day! TFTC!
Ninalila and I visited Ross and learned a lot about the history of goldmining around.
It was really interesting to visit the cottage and go for the walk just next to this area.
After that we went to the lake Mahinapua for an other walkand find some boxes to finish our day
We had some time around Hokitika too were we found some boxes during a long walk to visit the town.
The next step is around Arthur Pass and Castle Hill where we discovered a lot of other nice landscapes, places, view and boxes before the heavy rain and violent wind.
We logged with our team name : Lekiprokos
Thank you to owners for the caches and discoveries

fefe.adrien and I spent few days to visit Arthur Pass from the village to Castle Hill.
Despite a bad weather, we enjoyed visiting lovely places, such as : amazing limestone giant boulders, the cave into the karst, Pearson & Lyndon lakes.
All of the boxes were easy to find.

I parked here for an awesome day of biking up on the Hogs Back Track. It mostly went well, except one of my mates got a flat that ended his day. After the ride we came back to the car, and I noticed this one about 50m from the car. So, off we went, and G made the quick find. With all the recent cutting at GZ, we were worried it might be missing, but all in good shape!

Found all safe and sound thanks to the last cacher. Suggest that the next finder takes a new pill bottle size container and/or some gaffer tape. The container had been squashed by some machine There aren't many trees left and this tree had green tape around it. A good one though. Thanks.
Found it but container has been broken and was on the ground with no log inside. Have replaced paper but we have no container to replace it with
Finishing off a few Castle Hill caches before heading to Christchurch tomorrow.
