Seems this has gone missing. When I get a chance I will go for a look, but it might be a while off
We couldn't find it, we looked and look but still had lots of fun the kids mum landed on her bottom a few times lol
Couldn’t find it. God jumping around. I’m new to this so not great at it yet.
enjoyed a wee walk in here as many tracks to choose but NO LUCK for me as GPS jumping under tree's.
Out with Lil sis on a sunny winters morning. Phone GPS not happy in trees. Note to self - wear better climbing shoes next time.
Co-ordinates were a little out for me and no TB . But easily found. Logbook is nearly full and very damp. TFTC.
Today, It being a non-shopping day, along with the fact that we were meant to be 200kms away out East Cape (but weren't due to the weather at the end of last week), we spent the day collecting a few caches around Rotorua to see a bit of different countryside and make the most of the fine weather that had come out to play.
Setting off from home at 6.30am (nice early start with the good wife) and a quiet drive over here. So it was a concentration on caches we could get to, that weren't roped off as the lake level was too high, and only involved a short walk, as didn't want to leave "wifey" with the car too long as she might leave without me and say "Bugger You" and the caches.
Managed to grab 27 of 27 today which was more than happy as it has left enough to come back to in the future. This was the tenth of the day and a nice quick find following some breakfast at the "Fat Dog". Nice cache and a short bash up to it soon had it in hand, so emptyied out all the water and set back in its location.
Although did get myself in the poo by offering to stop for antiques at Tirau on the way back [^], but then informed that as its Easter Sunday all shops are closed and that is the only reason I would offer to stop for a shop, as if
Thanks for the placement and bringing me to this location

This was a simple find today. Bit wet inside but waterproof paper so should be OK. Tftc
Easy to find. But the gps was off haha. So still took some time because we were going in the wrong direction :p. Beustiful little park! TFTC
**#10,900**
In Rotorua for a FTF attempt but failed at that so thought we'd carry on and rack up some numbers to get the year rolling.
No feeling blue for us, bit of a mission finding the right tracks but luckily an easy find for our 10,900th find as the sun was about to set.......

#8790. Went for a short walk in Tihi Road Reserve in Springfield this afternoon. GZ was all quiet when we visited. Had to widen the search area a bit, and found it about 11 metres away. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. But unfortunately, Craehenfeld geht um die Welt was not in the cache. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
Thanks for bringing us to the site, and …

Found all good including big fat slimy tiger snail who had made it's self at home lol thank s Dclan for a nice we cache and walk in the park
Gps went crazy in the trees so were looking in the completely wrong place until we decided to start over then was easy. TFTC
A quick easy cache here. We took the trackable will drop on our travels next week TFTC
Out and about with Team Welsh collecting caches before leaving for our return to Auckland. T4tc
Last morning in Rotorua so Pagenz and I made an early morning trip out before having to head home. Nice little wander along here. TFTC
01/10/16 19:00 Dot Day. Daylight Savings is the end of feeling blue about night caching. Can't say the same about the weather but at least today was one of the few non-rainy days in the last month or so. Weirdly enough, saw loads of kiwi-blue (and the like) bottles around GZ. Closer inspection proved many of them to be bongs... guess the locals like to get high outdoors...
Not sure if cache is in its original position as GZ 9 - 11m out. I stopped being stumped when I found it though. Then the rain started, so walk cut short... Thanks for the exercise, Cheers, GC.

Had some business in Rotorua this afternoon and once that was finished decided I'd grab a few caches in and around town, with a bit of a focus on a few particular caches a bit further out from central, before heading back to Hamilton via Tokoroa. Managed to find all bar one that I attempted, getting home about 10pm and finding about a dozen caches.
Passed this one while heading to another to grab it on the way back. The GPS was bouncing a lot with the tree and cloud cover so resorted to expanding my search area to locate the cache. Took a little while for to spot the cache which turned out had been muggled, as it was spread around GZ. Found the log, the container and some swag within a 1m dia. from where the cache looked like it was hiding. Replaced in it's likely spot and covered. Hopefully the muggler won't be back.
Find #3 for the evening.

Up hill and down dale as we made our way 'off piste' to this cache, but found it no trouble. It was wet inside, but the waterproof log and container just needed a good wipe out and all was good again.
On our school holiday adventure checking out more of the good things around Rotorua. After a morning at the luge we wanted a bit of a walk before we headed further south. A scramble through the under growth & there was the squashed blue!
Log very wet.

Another quick find on a windy winter day

Took some hunting, and was about to check the spoiler picture when I spotted the hide. Cheers.
Off to Hamilton today. Ice on the car in Rotorua, Brrr.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Tis be a more difficult treasure hunt than expected. Me magic compass sent us further up the hill than it were, N Yer could say it had me crew and me stumped for an age. Eventually we found the scurvy devil, HAH! TFTC
(1827) Holidaying in the area and had time to collect a few caches in Rotorua. Went for a walk with a few friends to collect these ones, TFTC
On tour in NZ! To safe time and space we signed with CG3 ( caching girls 3)!

As we were approaching GZ the GPS batteries died so we used our caching sense and found the cache nicely camouflaged and hidden Great hide.
On a bit of a geocaching trip away with Just-Lookin & Princess Emily.
We soon found the cache.
SL Thanks for the fun find!

So many tracks in this reserve...took a while to work out where I should be...but them found cache easily. Tftc
Quickly spotted the hide from about 10m away. Nice park could hear the birds chirping tftc
This is a difficult find, unless you already know where it is. Among the trees the GPS struggles and it was a 'torturous' amble, as GZ was narrowed down. Once near GZ the hide was quick to spot, but this is not a one star difficulty cache, as the find is not just the last two metres, but the whole experience. This was the hardest of the set of four caches in this area. Still, the forest is pretty and enjoyable. TFTC mineemo.
Decided that these caches would be a good way to finish my first sweep of Rotorua to clear the new caches. I have made a good dent in them and have done about 20 odd today. A lot for me and I don't know how a few other cachers do heaps more in a day. This is my limit! Not sure I took the right track but needed a bit of bush bashing to get there but no plants were harmed Spotted something a bit different and soon had the cache in hand - no time to be blue today TFTC
Circles, and up and down and spin around and around!
Spotted something not to far away, and went to investigate it.
Youngest put a pirate coin in,as he did extraction.
Cheers

Eagle spotting by Ladda saw us scramble up the bank and quickly nab this one before heading on to the next! TFTC
Dot Day... Day 10: The continuing adventure to log 50 caches on consecutive days (A 50-Day caching streak)... On this mission with Gap (of Fap and Gap).
The rain is back in town... Gap and I were determined to clean up this last cache in Tihi Reserve, and a bit of water wasn't going to stop us...
We found a suitable park and sloshed down the rain-soaked path. At first, the iPhone gps struggled under the conditions. However, it eventually settled and began to consistently point toward one location. A glance in that direction and we spotted the tell-tale sign of a hide. The coordinates were pretty good for us, so we managed to stay quite dry under the circumstances. TFTC.

In town today to test out some new bikes for work so once that was finished I had time to find some caches.
This one had me walking around in circles, up and down, back and fourth. Eventually I spotted something and made a well earned find.

A short stint of geocaching with sveppi before heading back out of town, on a mild Sunday afternoon. We initially walked past this one as we apparently took the wrong path. We thought of coming back for this one after finding the 4th in the reserve, but muggles at number 4 meant we turned back to find this one while waiting for them to leave. Quickly noticed which bit of this part of forest was amiss, found the cache right where I expected. Thanks.
With fanfan-77 on a short Sunday afternoon geocaching walk in the reserve. This is a lovely area with lot's of Tui's. Had to negotiate a path or two but once close an easy find. TFTC
After lots of big splashes in the huge muddy holes around, our little one was keen to find a treasure... This is my favourite type of cache to find too! We had a scramble up but could see straight away what we were looking for... O lifted it up and was so pleased to find his favourite treasure inside - a Hot wheels car!! We left behind some little hand crafted goodies Thank you for the cache!
Continuing on our way through the park we hadn't a clue where we were heading, arrived at GZ and quickly spotted a likely hiding spot. A closer look produced the cache. Nice hide. TFTC.
A good hide well done. TFTC

Loved this one & the claustrophobic guardian. Left him in place, though our 3 yr old would have loved to take him home with us. We took the more challenging route to get to this one and picked up a bit of trash on the way. I once met the man who had helped plant many of the trees here over 50 yrs ago. Thanks minemo!
