On our way to lake Brunner as our first night destination in week long trip through Arthur's Pass and back through Lewis Pass. Tftc
Needs new piece of paper only enough room for one or two more names, sorry didn't have any with me
Found as described. Quiet road today. It’s a good old container but it’s still keeping its log dry. TFTC
After spending the night in Kumara, it was time to set off on the next part of my journey. Today's objective was ultimately GC30AD8 - but I did find a few other caches long the way. I parked across the road and found the cache in the first place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.
Out on a joy ride this morning and stopped for a nice quick park and grab thx.
This was a great fun cashe we did on our way to lake brunner. Horray for iron maiden!!
Heading back from the West to the East and I took this route to collect another in the great Maiden series. Up The Irons!
A quick find here while making my way to S.H 73. I’m enjoying the drive, the country side, and the glorious weather. TFTC
We were driving to Hokitika to take home Mr C's cousin after a holiday with us. With a detour via Moana for a change and the opportunity to get a few more caches. Thanks for this cache TwoSharpe.
Thank you for this cache, TwoSharpe.
A quick find as I head off to Moana to try out the new Adv Lab series there.

Hubby and I had our first ever child-free weekend in 4 years!! (Well, not entirely child-free if you include the 27-week fetus!!)
So, on the to-do list was going out to Camp Creek Hut - this has been on the to-do list for a while, and with bubba coming soon, it was kind of now, or never-ish, as we didn't quite think that this trail would be fully suitable for the pre-schooler!
Went and did the hut first, stayed the night, got rained in, wasn't enough dry firewood, couldn't run the bath, but still fun!
And then we got this cache on the way back out. Well, that definitely increased the terrain rating didn't it?! Haha.
TFTC!! - it made a great reference point for the car-park as we were driving there too lol

TFTC small log book maybe need new one? We wanted to do the Mt Alexander but too cloudy.
It took quite a bit of determination and nimble fingerwork to extract the cache as it had been pushed in a long way. Got there in the end. TFTC # 13,833
Another beautiful West Coast and time to head home via Lake Brunner.

We were heading towards Te Kinga for the night and we noticed this cache with plenty of parking right alongside it. We had met up with tonyb12 by this stage so we jointly found it. I had left the phone in the campervan but having found many barrier caches it did not take long to narrow down the options of where it would be, I found the cache in the second place I looked which is always a bonus. We signed the log and returned the cache to where we had found it.
Thank you for placing the cache and thank you for the smiley

Had fun looking in, under , around and behind to find them. Apologies for the cut and paste logs. Your caches made the trip a lot more interesting with some adventure thrown in. TFTC
A quick find while on our way to rediscover the Poerua Gold mine. We were successful there too. TFTC.

Finally it's time for a Christmas break and some time away from work. Time for Mrs KE and I to pack up our newly converted camping car and head out into the wilderness for a few nights. The West Coast looked inviting and there might even be time for some geocaching. If we can remember how to do that.
A not so quick grab here. My fingers were too big to extract the cache so had to call on Mrs KE to sort that out.
Thanks TwoSharpe for the cache.

Found while making a couple of stops on the way home from Moana. Nice easy find, made easier by the very quiet Monday roads. We found the nearby DOC sign interesting. We will have to come back for an explore. TFTC
Last day of our enjoyable Queens Birthday visit to the West Coast. Time to find a few caches in and around Greymouth, polish off the last of the card trail bonuses then head back to Christchurch via Lake Brunner.
Wasn't expecting to find an Iron Maiden cache so far from Chch. A quick park and grab on the way home. TFTC.

Day # 8 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
I had so much looked forward to return to this beautiful country, and now I'm here again - awesome!
Today's rainy tour took me from Arthurs Pass to Nelson.
The weather was more than sh...y throughout the major part of the trip ..
Rain, rain, rain [xx(] - and a road slip just 21kms out of Arthurs Pass [B)]. Road was closed for nearly an hour ...
Needless to say, that most of the treasures that were waiting along the road had to remain undiscovered due to flooding , heavy cats and dogs-rain [B)]and general 'I am not gonna leave the car now' - feeling [B)] .
But finally - approaching Nelson - the weather cleared up, got better and the sun came out. Cool!.
The day was a bit exhausting but ended up promising - rewarded with 16 finds and 'home ‘n dry' [^] !
Passing at this one it was raining like hell, got wet allover! [B)]
Hey - WestCoast - you have awesome caches [^] !
A big thanks [:X] to all Owners involved [^] for hiding and maintaining .
Cheers from Germany

A very brief detour to find this cache on our way to a family visit nearer Lake Brunner. A quick find in the obvious place.
Thank you TwoSharpe.
Thank you TwoSharpe.
A few days on the Coast to celebrate a family birthday. As we usually come via Lake Brunner we took the scenic route this time via Nelson Creek and had only a small detour to make because of this cache.Thank you TwoSharpe
Heading for a wee family holiday in Greymouth. Quick find and sign between traffic on the way past. Cheers.
An Iron Maiden all the way over here?!? Wow. Lots of lilac growing wild along the river bank. We made the right choice to travel this road up to Westport -- less traffic, less bad drivers who don't know NZ road rules. We discovered the next day that there was an accident at the Buller Gorge. A German driver in a rental motor home crossed the line, smashing into a local's older model Land Rover pulling his little boat. It closed the highway for hours. Such a shame.
Thanks for the new cache, we didn't expect to find when we left home a few days ago and were pleasantly surprised.
Container replaced with another one and I take full responsibility for what it is. However, it should be dry and safe until it gets replaced as the hidey spot was slightly smaller than the one I had a spare container for. We have enjoyed reading the road signs for the Around Brunner race that happens to be on today. Cheers
Cache gone, with lots of nice new barrier in place. Replaced with what we had in the car! Thanks.
Found on a raid to the Coast with Kiwi Moose. Signed the log KM+KR or KR+KM to save log space.
Thanks to all the CO's for their hides.

We see that hasn't been found since September and as it looks as though there is a new end on the bridge and we couldn't find it, we wonder if it has gone.
[blue]Unpublished FTF around 5pm thanks to the COs.[/blue][purple]
We had an awesome time at our event at Castle Hill and was given the heads up on a new unpublished cache on the way home. We didnt mind going the slightly longer way home to bag the FTF. Thankfully it was a nice quick find as the cold had picked up and we were happy to get back in the warm car. Thanks for the cache
