On a trip to aramoana. Caching on the way. Haven't done this for a while. Enjoying the fresh air and the educational information with the caches. Thank you
Quick find hehe as described. Lovely little spot but a narrow road to run or walk along. Down from Christchurch retrieving my daughter from Polytechnic and Salmond college. Thanks so much for placing this cache!!
Down in Dunedin for the Mega. Great to be back for another Mega 12 years after NZ's first Mega here in 2012. Finding a few caches with Boxhill and having a few laughs on the way. Signing logs individually or as Team BOGO.Thanks to the team for putting on a great Mega weekend, and also to all the COs for placing and maintaining the caches.TFTC daywalk
The last day of our Dunedin Mega visit. Teamed up with gonefishing for a most enjoyable weekend. Some logs were signed with our separate names, some were signed 'Team bogo' to save space.Today's plan is to head out to Port Chalmers and find a few on the way there and the way back. No problems getting a park here, unlike town. You don't find too many that size hanging around in a tree. Thanks to everyone involved for putting on a great Mega Event, and also to all the local Cache Owners for placing and maintaining all their caches.Cheers and TFTC
Unfortunatly it was high tide today, so not much seen out there apart from a few bits of wood. Cheers

This cache was a bit under the weather. Everything inside the cache was sopping wet. Between us we managed to replace log and put clean dry bags hopefully to keep everything dry
Cache was maintained yesterday afternoon after the previous logger's visit yesterday morning.
Out and about starting in Aramoana today, heading back towards Dunedin and the mega tomorrow. It's a beautifully sunny day and we are enjoying the weather and the wildlife as we go. This cache was full of water and the log book was saturated. We emptied the cache as much as possible and took a picture of the log. Tftc!

Day 2 of my 6 day trip to Dunedin to attend the Mega and clean up all the puzzle caches solved over the last few years.Todays journey took us from the city via some of the new DT 81 puzzles to Port Chalmers and then back to Dunedin. Thanks for all the puzzles, caches, find, frustration and enjoyment.First searched the wrong side and couldn't find the hint objects, but once I went around spotted them both quickly and the cache. Nice and big cache container. Very easy. Must have been low tide..
JD and I are enjoying a gorgeous day in the sunshine, caching our way to and from Aramoana ahead of the mega. I enjoyed this little stop over because I could see some of the wreckage. Unfortunately the cache and log book were sopping wet, so a photo has been taken as proof of our visit. Tftc.
A nice bike ride is what we need this afternoon- and then amongst the flood of logging notifications was one saying this cache was wet. Swearwords, because it should've been okay hanging where it was. Repair kit, bike ride, stopped at Port Chalmers toilets to chat to the Southern Raiders, out to Isbisters Bay. Ah. Locals piled paddles etc on top pushing the cache down onto the ground and into the October floodwaters. Bother. Repaired, rehung so shouldn't havd that problem again. Stopped at the Port Chalmers plaques for a chat with other cachers - which meant I could thank them in person for telling us about this wet cache! On the way back, stopped at the Otago Harbourside shared path AdLab waypoint at Ravensbourne because taybeedragon said the correct answer didn't get the green tick. It doesn't - luckily Mr D said the 3 might be mistaken for an 8 so try an answer that makes Mayor Moller 116 when he died... yes, that works, someone made an oopsie!
Out for a day of caching with Sunflowers26. It took us far too long to find this cache - neither of us really knowing enough about the hint object to work things out immediately. On the other hand, it didn't take us long to work out the, erm, more cryptic aspects of the hint, so we were led in more or less the right direction to begin with, and I eventually laid eyes on the cache. Cheers!
A modern equivalent of this bay must be a car wreckers yard. Not as picturesque though! After reading the hint I was not expecting a container like this. TFTC
Hint had us puzzled to start with but still found it quickly. Great to have decent sized caches. It felt like the tractor was watching us, I wonder if anybody has been muggled by a tractor!
At 14:40. Off Coral Princess on cruise from Brisbane (home) round NZ and back to Brisbane.
Cache and log are fine. TFTC.

Thanks for the history lesson and the tide was out, so could see all three ships.
Had to pass this cache by on a previous visit to the port as road workers were stopping traffic intermittently and avast! operating right in front of the park too. Made use of the widest place today for the wagon past the driveway and waited for cars to pass, waited some more as rush hour on a Sunday means about the same thing as in the city. Everyone wanting to get someplace, yesterday. The cycle way is shaping up but is still a long way off reaching Roseneath. The road isn't the safest for ramblers over there either. The micros at Roseneath were archived today, no chance of walking up there for pillcans, less chance of finding a public park on the hill too. Circled the hide not quite in full flower and pulled the convolvulus and periwinkle down to unclip the big cache. All dry in glad bags, the graveyard logbook was signed, some more swag popped in and resealed the pot. Returned to tether and fluffed up the greenery. Away for another wait to cross the road. The chick stayed in the wagon, tide was just coming in but wind was pushing it further. *RTP 325pt*. TFTC

Another essential stop on the return trip from Aramoana, and another interesting place. Cute tractor- according to a local who was there to work on his boat, (thankfully he arrived after we had made the find and re-hidden the cache) the tractor is a bit temperamental. Found with Debsnz. Thanks daywalk.
Another lovely place to stop. At first we thought Steve was the cute tractor but once we'd found the real Steve the hunt was on. One of us looked high and the other looked low with one of us quick to spot the cache. Found with spoonz2
Poo-hee there was a significantly present penetrating sewage smell coming off the waters.
The very first time I saw these husks poking out of the water - some years ago - I had absolutely no idea what they were. Not burdened by any knowledge about anything at all, the assumption made by me was that they had something to do with fishing. A long time I was under the impression Otago had a thriving lobster industry. As I said: not burdened by any knowledge about anything at all.
Well, I still don't have any knowledge about anything at all, but - thanks to this cache (and the Don Juan cache [coord.info/GC80321](http://www.coord.info/GC80321) ) - I have meanwhile learned the purpose, origin and significance of these "lobster farms". With thanks to the CO for the extensive background information, much appreciated.

Out with the Frame Family to enjoy the weather and a day off work also a good lunch at the Carey’s Bay Hotel. Took a couple of minutes to spot and then to grab and open. Took the TB although it wasn’t logged as being there.
On a three week trip to the lower South Island with tmann421 hunting caches.
Enjoyed the trip around and the challenge of the finds.

Our trip to Quarantine Island was cancelled due to mechanical problems with the boat, so our friend suggested a few places as an alternative. Brought us to this interesting place at low tide, so after exploring the ships' graveyard, I ducked in to search for this cache. Quickly found using the hint. TFTC.
Took a few moments to find and took a photo of the plaque as the person named will be connected to the ex-husband’s family tree
It might be a graveyard but muggles within a very small distance of the cache were working hard to resurrect a boat. A little stealth did the trick.

Very interesting cache page thank you daywalk. Even with the specific hint this took me longer than it should have and then I laughed. TFTC # 16,438
Thought it was about time we found this one at the bottom of our street! Found with Conbat. TFTC!
Took a few minutes of hunting to find this one right on dusk.
I don’t know why it has taken so long to get around to this given it’s currently the closest cache to home!
