Was waiting for a friend and decided to see if there were any nearby caches; turns out there was !
Located it easily enough, and when I saw it needed maintenance I donated part of one of my pre-made caches to fix it.
The lid is fairly tight, and it should now prevent most of the moisture from getting in.
TFTC !

Visiting from Port Macquarie.
Catching up on some logs. As was expected here, the cache has seen much better days.
Thanks for the cache

Hi there skakids,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is some sort of issue. The recent logs may contain more details about what sort of issues are evident.
The cache has been [**temporarily disabled**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235), so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location, until the issues/s can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days,** so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.
#What you need to do:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache** - once checked, place an Owner Maintenance log and then enable the cache.
- **Place A Write Note Log** - indicating a date when you expect it will be restored.
- **Adopt Out or Archive** - depending on whether you want it kept or for it to disappear.
Full details for each of the above choices can be found at [**GEOCACHE MAINTENANCE**]( https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/Victoria) on the Regional Policies page.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned.
It would be far better if you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
Thanks for your cooperation,

Was in Melbourne for a Doctors appointment, and my motel was just a few meters for the GZ so I thought ill just do a quick grab.
Last one for the day before heading home after a long day of walking around the inner suburbs and CBD, a great day of caching.
This one was a nice quick find once I realised with side of the fence it was on. Log signed and replaced as found.
Container is missing lid and most of the paper in the container wrecked, needs some attention. The replacement log Is still dry though luckily.

Container missing lid, needs replacing. Old destroyed logs also need to be removed from the container.
Find 18 of 29 along with 1 DNF and 23 Ad Lab locations on a 25km bike ride around Melbourne, including a lap of Albert Park, which we last rode around in 2012 BC (before caching).
Riding along this busy road now, looking forward to getting into the quieter park - but first, a quick find here. We added a new log sheet as the existing sheets are shredding.
TFTC skakids!

TFTC - log book was not possible to retrieve out of the container without damaging it
Found this one with graceygirl1234 while down in Melbourne for the Comedy Festival and staying near Albert Park. TFTC!
Couldn’t reach my chubby arm through the fencing that is currently up so didn’t log but still a fun find TFTC
found it but couldn't reach due to temp fencing, will come back and log when it's gone ️
Found it! Cache is currently behind fences due to Melbourne Grand Prix construction. I needed to worm my hands between the fence to reach this one. Cache is missing a lid and the logbook is in poor condition.
Took me awhile before found the hide in the usual way these are hidden, lid of container is gone a log needs replacement, wasn’t able to sign. TFTC
Nice quick find whilst walking to the golf course. Got a little wet walking past the MCC sprinklers all part of the fun! TFTC
Found while staying in Melbourne on a short holiday, Log book is full, didn’t have one the replace it, thank for the info )
A quick park and grab as we explore the area. Apparently this is my first in this LGA - I could have sworn I’ve done some nearby in the past but my map in Project GC says otherwise! TNLN TFTC
One of three caches collected well after midnight tonight after an engagement in the city that went way over time. I selected some caches that I thought were suited to/preferable to being found in the dead of night.
This looked like an easy drive by, and indeed it was. Thanks for this offering skakids.

At the start of the year we set a goal to get to 104 (2 a week) for 2022 and it got away from us towards the end of the year so a little bit of catchup was needed
Super quick grab as it was where we expected as we walked up to it

Thanks Skakids for this quick little find. Was in the area, thankfully on the geobike, so the crazy traffic & lack of parking wasn’t an issue. Needing this to escape the labyrinth

Im over in Melbourne for a work trip and decided to grab a couple while out and about.
Many thanks to skakids for placing and maintaining Vroom Spring. I found it, I signed it, and put it back as found.

Took me forever to find. I’m so stupid haha I seem to have lost my pen. Hopefully I haven’t washed it… still new to this so still learning…
Thanks
Thanks
Driving back home from the Royal Children's Hospital with my daughter after she had a routine procedure, we decided to stop to find some caches on the way.
A quick stop after driving into Roy St from the busy, busy Queens Way. There were some maintenance workers out on the oval having a chat and tending to the grass. My daughter walked across to GZ and made a quick find.
Thank you for the cache here skakids

Great spot for a cache! Out after a longish break and always wanted to find this one. Driven past this hundreds of times but never stopped. Thanks skakids.

A bit of post early morning event shenanigans after parting ways with my partner in crime, who dropped me off in Windsor on his way home.
So I picked up pretty much where I left the last walk near the Grand Prix track back in... oh, the tail end of the "before times".
That previous visit, I was running out of light, and power on my phone, fitness tracker and torch, so the short detour to this hide was left until, well, now.
Quickly found exactly where I expected upon approach.
Thanks, skakids, for highlighting this... and for all the other caches I've enjoyed over the years. Just so you know: we appreciate the work you put into the game.

What a great plaque detailing the history of the light car club. Spent a good bit of time looking for this cache without any luck. We’ll have to have another go searching next time we are in Melbourne
A quick search and find located where we suspected thanks to the good coords, found just before we left Melbourne to head to Daylesford for a relaxing swim in the mineral springs..
Thanks for placing this one here, right across the road from the hotel we stayed in.

TFTF. Rainy day with lots of traffic. Bit hard to get the log out so I just left it inside.
It's been almost a year since I've been in the city for a work conference and I've missed getting caches while doing it. As such I left home early and was in the city by 7 am. First stop the MCG, followed by the Fitzroy Gardens before making my way into the City Square. After the conference finished, it was down to St Kilda and back.
Last find of the day at 4.30 pm. Nice quick find d snd took longer to get the log out and in then finding it.
Thanks for the cache Ska Kids

Thanks for the cache skakids! Always good to learn something new. Grabbed this one on the way to the Midsumma Pride March
The most camouflaged thing I have ever seen. It was really hard to find but we had to think very thoroughly. Eventually found from the help of others
