Because of the pandemic, many caches became
unmanageable in the time
needed to race out to them and I have not been able to
justify the time to keep this cache going.
I know you may be sad that this cache,
like many of it’s partners is going, but
sometimes it is an old cache that makes way for a new one.
Until next we meet on the caching trail, have an
extra special time caching. KD.

A quick walk up a steep hill to find this cache, after earlier avenging a DNF from a few months ago and a visit to see a beautiful piece of street art in Templestowe Shopping Village.

A nice quick and easy find here. The log is full, though and needs replacing. I found a tiny spot where an old entry had completely faded away, so did manage to sign. TFTC Smile

A fairly quick find with heymissjo, once the satellites behaved. We signed in on a margin of the log using abbreviations (HMJ + TW)

It's been 10 years since I was last here, and so much has changed since then...
It was nice to take a moment and reflect.

Thanks, kangadrew72.

Last cache for the day, but nice to finally get out after months stuck at home in lockdown. The Welder and I have certainly enjoyed our day! Nice to collect some unlove in the meantime. Log book getting very full and may need replacing. Thanks for the cache.

*Found on the 29 Feb 2020 @ 3:53 pm.*
*Cache find # 10761.*

As i was about to drive passed this one, i decided to stop for a look.
At first i went in but i soon realised that i needed to be on the outside, once that problem was fixed, i was able to make a quick find.
Log needs replacing as there is no more space.

**Thanks to kangadrew72 for placing this cache.**

Got it second time round. We were way off last time with the hint but this time read the description more carefully. TFTC. Did some CITO on the way through the cemetery plus picked up all of the fallen bins. Now we have our first of the month cache for the first of the month challenge

20-Dec-19
Before the heat of the day I made a dash for a few caches. Found quickly.

Thanks to kangadrew72 for the placement and fun.

Got a little confused looking for this one. Made this much harder than it needed to be but eventually realised my mistake and the cache literally found me. TNLNSL. TFTC. Kkams

17-Aug-19
We were are bit pressed for time. Worked out the clue but didn’t manage to find the container.

14-Jul-19
I didn't find with a quick look

07-May-19
Found by Mary and David, in company with pprass, at 15:29:00. Peter had planned ta bike ride for us to follow the series along the trails through the parks. Started out fresh, but gradually the hills took their toll on old legs and on the remaing life of our eBike batteries. Still managed more than 6 hours with about 20% charge left. An interesting series with a variety of hides to keep us on our mental toes. Our thanks to kangadrew72.

Found at 3:30 PM GAFF1 in the company of maccamob.
For such an old cemetery, there are a lot of new graves and mausoleums around!
Thought we were on the wrong side of the fence, but hen spotted a likely location and the cache was found after checking just one other spot first.
Thanks kangadrew72

01-Feb-19
Out hunting with Greytiger and an easy find to start with. A new zip lock bag and additional log were added to the cache. TFTC.

01-Feb-19
Thanks kangadrew72, amaali and I came from Thomastown and Lalor for a few caches in the area and yours was the first. The log was full so we left one for other cachers to fill.

My parents are both buried in this cemetery, so it was a good chance for a visit. Although the log sheet is full, and needs replacing, I managed to sign it along one side. tftc.

Ducked out for a quickie to keep my steak alive! Cache needs new log though, this one is full.

15-Dec-18
I know exactly what the hint mean, but still couldn’t find it. Didn’t want to spend too long to disturb the dead. Will try another time.

07-Dec-18
It is a great view out towards Eltham from here, a view I hadn't noticed before when driving down Reynolds Road. I didn't spend too long taking it in - it was hotter this afternoon than I like - so I signed the last place on the log and escaped. Thanks kangadrew72.

04-Nov-18
Needing a particular D/T combo for an overseas challenge cache which I've almost completed. Today was in fact the last day for a Victorian cache of this type.
So taking advantage of the quiet streets I was near GZ in no time. When a CO goes to the trouble of marking a parking WP I tend to use it. After parking the car i did indeed get a little exercise navigating to GZ where the cache was found shortly after arrival.
Thanks for the views.

19-Aug-18
I had just arrived at GZ when the skies opened up. Despite that this was a reasonably easy find after reading the clue. TFTC.

12-Aug-18
After parking at the bottom of the hill I set off for a quick stroll up. It turned out to be a quick find, and as I looked across I could see that this certainly is a very well maintained cemetery.

Thanks to kangadrew72 for placing this cache.

1 July 2018 @ 6:29 pm
Caching buddies: Riddell & Boetietim & Tim_Amy

We watched them instead of us being watched! Realised later that we didn't have to visit them after all. Team split led to Tim_Amy and his kids finding this cache!

01-Jul-18
After wondering around with the dearly departed after dark for a while the little one became scared so we went out but the find was made. Usually I avoid these caches after dark but as a group it was decided a good one to grab on the way back to the night cache we were heading for. Really no good driving straight past a good cache. So we stopped and made the find. Boatietim even left with the control panel off a security system. May end up part of a future cache to keep an eye out for.

11-Jun-18
It's a steep hill to climb if you park in Church Rd like I did.
Thanks for the cache.

01-Jun-18
Found on a bright gem of a winter's day. I too found the weeds annoying, but noticed the container in the second place I looked. It's amazing what people throw away, as I found the control box of a home alarm system at GZ. Tftc.

10-Apr-18
I was out this morning working the placement of the remainder of my "It Seemed Like a Good Idea..." series of caches and as I made my way down Church Street, I took time out to make a small detour to come looking for this cache. I had a reasonable idea of what I should be looking for but it took an age to find it... mostly due to a lack of care and maintenance of the garden bed. Full of weeds and needed to hunted through carefully. Eventually I was able to come up with the goods and sign the log.

Thanks kangadrew72 for the cache.

25-Mar-18
A quick scramble around the area today to pick up things yet to be found. I hadnt done this one, so its a walk up the hill for me. I pondered the clue as I walked up the hill and happily found I was correct when I got to GZ. Thanks for the cache!

Dad and boy were out and about on Tuesday evening. Collected this cache (and the unanticipated unloved days) without incident. TFTC and the wander.

Nice find after a bit of too and fro....... Beautiful place. Thought we'd grab a few on our adventure home from the Victorian Cache of The Year Awards. TFTC

31-Jan-17
Well that took a lot longer than it should have. Never ever let a family historian get close to a "family" cemetery when you are out caching. We spent a lot of time getting photos/details and thankfully didn't need a lot of time to locate this cache. Apparently we have to come back to get more information. I'd say thanks for bringing us here but I'm not so sure. lol Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

People are dying to get in here, lol! After reading the description I knew where I needed to be and the cache was found quite quickly with the help of the hint. Thanks : )

On my way home from a job but still need to do a little when I get home but a cache or two to break up the day is just what I need.
Spent far too long looking for this than I should have, I was far too busy looking over my shoulder for skeletons...
**Thanks for placing this cache kangadrew72**

Rocking it today

21-Aug-16
I made the mistake of parking in the carpark in the eastern road near the entrance, so had a long climb up the hill to GZ, but luckily once there the cache was quickly uncovered and signed. You're right, great views up here! TFTC

I have seen this container before - uneasy on the placement. Who would pay this much coin to have a view of this nature. Sobering reality

A place I often drive past, this gave me a reason to stop by

13-Feb-16
I thought this might be difficult, but there are not that many possibilities After finding the cache, I took a walk inside through the dead centre to have a bit of a sticky beak, and I came across a couple in a car, trying to get out after the gates had all been closed. I left them trying to ring the caretaker to come and rescue them. Lets hope they didn't have to stay the whole night!

Thanks kangadrew72 - Interesting spot.

07-Feb-16
We found this cache today at 11:30am as number 1 of 5 on our Templestowe Sunday Morning Loop. We had parked around the corner on Church Street and not having read that little bit in the middle of the description that it was on the outside of the cemetery, we send two people each way just to cover both bases. Of course, outside it was and the cache was soon in hand. Thanks from D, HA, H & A B-A.

02-Feb-16
Logging this a few days late, somehow this one was forgotten the other day as I logged my finds while out with Cathlud and Jeckleberryandtedd. We were heading further down Foote St when Cathlud reminded us this was here, so with a quick left turn into the side street we headed down hill and JandT found it quickly enough. But where was our pen? It had fallen out of my pocket half way back up the hill so the other two waited patiently while I trotted back up to grab it. TFTC

02-Feb-16
While walking towards this cache I was telling Tinkertraveller and Jeckleberryandtedd about how I could not find it on my previous visit. I hardly had time to focus on the search area before Jeckleberry had it in her hand. Her luck did not hold out all day.

Out with Cathlud and TinkerTraveller for a days caching. Cathlud had problems with this one previously so I was more than happy to make the find as soon as we arrived. Thanks for the cache.

14-Jan-16
Suscoe had a big day out today with 40 finds in total as we wandered the streets around this area.
After yesterday's 43 degrees heat we were enjoying the below 20 degrees coolness with typical Southern Victorian Summer weather in full swing.
It was a drizzly old day with a decent breeze and some rain at times. Cloud covered the sky all day.
Thanks to kangadrew72 for placing this cache.
An interesting cemetery indeed.

08-Jan-16
Found this one at the start of a day heading out to Melbourne ' s 1st cache as my 3000th cache find. I was caching with ladioactive but she had already found this one. This was hidden in an obvious place but I missed it on the first pass, extended search and went back to pick up my phone from the car. Quick find after that and we continued on.

Thanks for the cache.

I drive past here everyday to go to work, and seeing as i was let out early I decided that I would stop by and collect this cache.

TFTC!!

I have driven past here twice in recent times not realising that there was a cache here. In any event I would have been unable to look then. Today I parked as suggested and walked down for an easy find thanks kangandrew.

Just grabbing a few caches in the area before heading to Ruffey park to attempt the night cache. This one was soon found after a short search, as they say many hands make light work. Thanks kangadrew72 for the hide.

03-Dec-15
A nice quick find after we corrected our initial assumption. An interesting looking cemetery, but we didn't spend too much time here this evening. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.

Out for a arvo/night of caching with Moosetash and Happy pants. After a short look on the wrong side of the fence, we realised our mistake and soon had cache in hand.

23-Nov-15
I dropped by this cache tonight on the way home from having dinner with some ex-work buddies. Razz I parked in a nearby street and wandered down the road to GZ. It was pretty dead at this time of night so there were no muggles around....dead or alive!....just a few passing cars. After a brief search of GZ with my torch I found the cache and signed the log at 9:45 pm. TNLN.

Thanks kangadrew72 for the nicely camo'd cache in a very quiet location....well at this time of night, although I imagine it's very busy during the daytime. Being night I couldn't see the views but the night lights were very spectacular. Cool Luckily I didn't see any ghosts in the cemetery!

10-Nov-15
Out picking up the final couple of caches so as to reach a milestone for the Mega. As it was spitting with rain and traffic was heavy I went for the hint straight away and had no idea what it meaning was, until I found it. Thanks Kangadrew.

23-Oct-15
Out on my own this morning to check out some locals. The amount of times that I have driven past this cemetery and never had the need to go inside. I started looking inside and its wonderful. They certainly got a great views and extremely well maintained. I soon realised I was on the wrong side of the wall. Nice easy find then.
Thanks for the cache kangadrew72

After GMelb ran out of time caching after picking up our mega shirts this morning we headed back out this way after lunch to pick up caches recently published since clearing our 10k zone a few months ago.
We had a lovely day of doing your caches kangadrew72!
This was a nice easy find in a pretty little part of the fenceline

After doing my kids taxi duties and also a party I only had a couple of hours left today but headed out anyway to find a few new ones that had popped up.
I parked in the suggested parking and after a very short walk the cache was found fairly quickly after waiting for the cars to pass by.
Thanks kangadrew72 for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

Reading about the dramas of other caches finding a parking spot I did my homework and parked in the suggested street,
The sun was out this afternoon so it was a quick but nice walk to GZ,
A cute cache, similar to my gridlock cache,

Thanks kangadrew72 [:x]
