Had heard a bit about this one, but certainly the most unique container I've ever seen haha. Cheers
Today's plan is to spend some time in the Hastings area seeing what we can find. After a bit of poking around I found something interesting. It was pretty grimmy so I cleaned it up a bit in the ditch across the road. despite how I found it the logsheet is in good condition. TFTC
No possum today. Was black gloopy stuff so poked around with a stick but couldn't find cache
Came back after a few months, as eimajesordaman and I came to find this and there was a possum sitting on top. He has came back to find it but I hadnt until now. Jumped put of the car and with a quick peek to make sure the possum wasnt back, we had the cache in hand. Thanks mrBmrsP for the cache
Back for round 2 after coming a couple of weeks ago with teamrosenz, only to find a possum sleeping in the 'Y' at the top of the trunk. No possum today, so a quick sign and run. Log is completely full
It's December, and to help me achieve one of my Geocaching goals I need to log 300+ caches this month, which means an average of ten a day. I started off well, but had a glitch in the middle which has left me behind on my target. However, I left home a couple of days ago and cached my way up through the Wairarapa to Napier (here for a concert tonight). After two very successful days, I started today with only ten caches left to find to meet my goal. Well, I made it to my target of 300. Now to collect a few extras, just in case, or just cos. --- Thanks to mrBmrsP for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues. [DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge

Wasn't sure what I was grabbing very sticky from the tree sap. Cute container. Tftc
I got in a bit of a pickle because I only had jandles on. Tftc. Funny series
Would be awesome here when the walnuts are ready. Awesome cache, enjoyed the camo, nearly mistook it for something else! Tftc
Scared by a dnf, but we went for it, and using Think like a nut, I found the oddly shaped container, proving the last cacher wrong, sadly there was a lot of rubbish but a fun find, shouting think like a nut afterwards for the car ride was epic
Found a tree, but there was so much rubbish underneath it, including a supermarket trolley and a black bin bag that smelled as though there was something dead in it, that we didn't hang about long enough to have a proper hunt. Wasn't sure if I should look around the bottom of the tree, up in the tree or in the long grass, and preferring not to grab broken glass/ripped open cans decided to leave it.
Down this way for the National Concert Band comp. and whilst ERI-0T was having a rehearsal I had a few spare minutes to make a few finds.
After grabbing dinner and making a few arrangements to catch up with friends, decided to locate this trail given it was on dark time and would most likely not be bothered by muggles.
TFTC.

Great little trail. I saw 1 car as a moved down the road. Very quiet. All the caches had good camo and the GPS was spot on each time. TFTC.

I decided to use the opportunity of having a quiet few days off work over Xmas to drive over to the Hawkes Bay in order to be a cacher in that region for the first time.
There was absolutely no-one around today so I was able to conduct my search in relative ease. It only took a moment of hunting around before I made the find as the cache was nicely hidden away in accordance with the Hint. On opening the container, there was nothing untoward found with the log, which was signed before the whole lot was replaced back where I found it.
Thanks for setting this cache up, and I wish you a happy and prosperous 2021

This was an easy road to travel along and stop for cacches, plenty of parking and very little traffic .
i was spending a few day in hastings visiting friends and geo caching around hastings and set out early to locate some of the cache around about here before going on the St george's trail .
thank you for these caches and i took nothing and left nothing at them all.

On I head and another nice find here
Some real poor weather today put us off caching for the majority of the day but there was still time to make a start, and finish, on the TMGT quartet that Napier has to offer. Decided that the rain would put off some muggles, and so it proved as I was not seen or disturbed at any GZ. After that I headed out alone for the bchef weird trail and they were a treat, and I stayed dry - nice.
It's that time of year again when we try and get out there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and my birthday the next day. This time we matched it up with a trip to Whanganui to see our daughter and the ever changing/developing granddaughter Kaiah. After the weekend with them we headed to Hawkes Bay for a 4 day stay in Havelock North which started off with rain but fined up nicely and finished the week well. A good break from home and plenty done and seen (as usual). Not huge numbers of finds but 22 adventure labs, the 4 TMGTs in Napier, a couple more CANZ caches and a few Virtuals as well as some other treats, T F T C to all COs.

Have come from Tauranga with a cycling group to do some of the amazing trails here. And for us to get a few smileys whilst we are here as well... Very unusual container here which did look as though it had actually been grown in the ground. Cache is all good. TFTC
This one made me laugh as it was such a weird thing to see at ground zero. Very clever use of container and wacky to boot!
One of quite a few that we collected as we explored the region. Found with bkj97. T4tcsl Apologies for repetitive logs.
Decided with little blue hen to nab a few caches along this trail before heading back to napier for a much anticipated degustation dinner. With time pressing we allowed 2 mins at each location before moving on. Tftcsl
Was thrown by the packaging but after close inspection realized it was the cache
TFTC! Found it on the ground and put it in the tree thinking that it fell. Cute find!
I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #843 .
Today we hired a bike for a tour around Hastings. There are some trails we want to do so off we go.
We found most of the caches in good condition, a few could need a little maintenance. And we must come back one more time, because we missed a few.
To all the CO’s, thanks for hiding and maintaining the caches.

Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, aka WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
Getting some gems quick. This was a cool well made cache. Thanks you kindly for the placement and the maintenance.
Today we took our best shot at completing as much as we're likely to be able to of the Mystery at the Museum Challenge. As we've cached out anything remotely local we knew we'd need to travel quite a bit - not so easy for us, especially in winter. However two trails out the back of Hastings looked to give us the best chance within a reasonably compact area and suitable for a day trip. We had 38 caches on our list, some we didn't attempt, but were pretty satisfied with our 30 finds before wending a weary way home as night fell.
After a rain-filled journey in the morning for most of the way, we were caching along B & P's Weird 'n' Wacky trail by mid-morning and apart from a little drizzle at first the rest of the day then stayed fine for us.
This was a 'cool as...' cache.! TFTC

Straightforward find. Great container. Bonus number doesn't seem to be there. TFTC
Staying in Te Awanga for the weekend. Mrs Rubbishparty playing her flute in a Mother’s Day concert. Came out to do this series after dark. Managed 8 out of 10. Enjoyed all the wackiness. Hope to return and finish it.
Found the cache and replaced the sodden log. Could find no attached number.

Have been planning these caches for a few weeks in conjunction with HKCB for a mad dash and effectively a 24 hour run (so that we could spend time with our respective families) for the rest of the ensuing weekend. Signed most/all caches as HKCD or some such other that we could fit in
Leaving Hamilton at 7pm Friday and getting home midnight on Saturday so that at least 6hours quality sleep was acheived, sleeping in the car is always a bonus (2 hours) and the remainder of the time caching around part of the country we hadn't previousley done a whole lot, but have left plenty for the next trip across the hill.
Starting a new day with only a drizzle outside and an early morning bike ride to boot.
This was the sixty fourth of the100+ that we acheived in that time we were over here.
Thanks to all the CO's for the effort and giving some great caches, sorry about the repetitive logs but then 100 is a few to cover off.
Continuing on around the countryside collecting caches as we go
Thanks for the placement, thanks for the cache

Such a cool looking container. Kids are giving a blast seeing the weird and wacky. The log us full on this one too.
Quick find. The original log is just a piece of pulp now..

This was the fourth day of my twelve day trip to go to the Wellington Mega. Today I zipped down to Havelock North to do a few power trails to get my numbers up.
This one was very wet and there was no number for the final. TFTC.

One week off during school holiday time, combined with some cheap flights made a great adventure in the HB and Gisborne area, popping into BoP a couple of times also. I had great fun and I am grateful to all CO's who placed the caches for others' entertainment!!
Today I decided to have a big day and see if I can break 50, and I did, even with a few extras! This was a fun series, TFTC!!

#5 Caching with Sidewaze. My apologies for late logging, my thanks to CO for taking the time to place the cache and giving us the challenge of finding it. TFTC
We had a bit of difficulty deciding which particular kind of hint object we should check out here but finally settled on the right one and there was the cache. Thanks .
Unfortunately we couldn't find the number we were expecting in this cache so that blew our chances of collecting the bonus cache .

This weekend was a caching road trip to the Hawkes Bay with Mr Gap, something we have not done together in a long while.
Weather forecast was good so we set off late Friday afternoon arriving in the Hawkes Bay about 7.30pm so settled in to our accomodation and planned our weekend of caching.
We needed a couple of caches today for a personal challenge we are doing which we were able to collect.
Saturday started off very slowly with some caches taking longer to find than others but once we started doing the trails in the area caches came fairly quickly.
Had some interesting chats with people on the way, wondering what we were up to.
A few of the caches on the trail were quite damp but still writeable.
Sunday was homeward bound so made caches we picked up were mostly drive bys.
Great weekend with 52 caches collected for the weekend. SLTFTCaches

Found the cache easily and like it. Walnuts had collected around it so there was a possibility we could have had lunch!!. TFTC
We decided to collect this series of caches today mainly to get one more puzzle at the end of it. We were very pleased with the decision when we started finding the Weird 'n' Wacky trads. Some interesting cache containers and unusual sights nearby. The log was quite wet in this one, so we put in a replacement. TFTC
Was in the bay for the weekend. Did a wine trail the day before so decided the next day to do this trail as I’ve heard great things about it. Please excuse my cut and paste log in advance and thanks for the effort in setting up the trail. Cheers
In the Bay for the long weekend, picking up a few caches with Allepousse in between doing a few other touristy things.

Having spent the morning in Havelock North, visited Te Mata peak I headed to Birdwoods Gallery for some lunch. While there I noticed this series and was a good walk for the afternoon.
Great container! Approached from the wrong side at first, then re-positioned for an easier retrieval.

I took my bike for a ride around Napier, Hastings and Havelock North today. Weather was a bit on the warm side, but had a great time anyway.

Trying to get a few caches this morning. Plenty of traffic about and we are in a 7 meter bus so parking can make things even trickier. Room to park here and after a few false looks finally located it with a chuckle. Thank you.
Over from the UK with my wife, parents and daughters to celebrate my 50th birthday. We are staying with friends in Havelock North for Christmas.
Doing this series as drive-bys.Initially went to the wrong side of the tree. Then moved round a bit and the cache was then an easy find. Log is very slightly damp due to the O ring being missing. Signed log and replaced as found. TFTC
